Based on the characteristics of the oilfield electric distribution network and the basic theory of the harmonic analysis, this paper gives a brief introduction to the causes and damages of harmonic waves in the oilfield electric distribution system, the harmonic control method and the filtering techniques are compared, and the development process of the Harmonic Dynamic Suppression technology using the active filter in the oilfield electric distribution system is discussed.
