The factors affecting photocatalytic activity include titanium dioxide crystal configuration, type of light irradiation and light intensity, pH value, oxygen, dosage of titanium dioxide, reactant concentration, reaction temperature, and some inorganic anions. The recent research progresses made in the mechanism of photocatalysis degradation heavy metal ions and organic contaminants is elaborated. The applications of research progresses including the impact of metal ions on the rate of photocatalytic oxidation of organic contaminants, the impact of organic contaminants on the rate of photocatalytic reduction of the heavy metals, and synergistic interaction between removal of metals and degradation of organic contaminants by photocatalysis are presented as well.     综述了TiO2光催化氧化有机物、还原重金属离子的影响因素,包括TiO2晶型、光源与光强、溶液的pH值、氧气、催化剂的用量、物质浓度、温度及一些无机阴离子,以及光催化还原金属离子、光催化氧化有机污染物的反应机理方面的基础研究进展.论述了重金属离子对光催化氧化有机物的影响、有机物对光催化还原重金属离子的影响,以及重金属离子与有机体共存体系的协同效应方面的应用研究进展.分析了目前研究中指出存在的问题并对今后的TiO2光催化同步去除水体中的重金属离子和有机物的基础理论研究和实际应用研究做出展望.

    Based on existing relevant scientific literatures, the review summarizes the impact factors of the degradation heavy metal ions and organic contaminants by titanium dioxide photocatalysis.
