利用西北地区120个测站1954-2003年逐日降水观测资料,采用REOF将我国西北地区降水变化划分为东西两部分进行研究,分析了近50年来西北地区东西部降水强度、频率和总降水量变化趋势以及它们之间的联系。结果表明:西北地区降水量的增多主要是西北西部降水量的增多引起的;西北西部年降水频率呈增加趋势,年平均降水强度也呈增强趋势,而西北东部年平均降水强度增强,年降水频率却呈显著减少趋势。
