The results revealed lower expression of nm23 and higher expression of S100A4 in the metastases than in the primary tumor. No difference of p53 between the two groups was found. Down-expression of nm23 and overexpression of S100A4 and p53 were related to distant metastasis of gastric cancer. The results suggested that nm23 and S100A4 play a critical role in the process of metastasis and that p53 is a late event of gastric cancer., authors=null, authorsList=null, authorCompany=null,
