对地磁场研究历史及其发展趋势作了简要的论述,提出地磁场强度是认识地球深部动力学过程的有效途径之一。同时,对生物的磁效应,特别是趋磁细菌的研究历史、现状及其在地球科学和生命科学中的潜在应用作了分析,这对不同学科的交叉与渗透具有一定的促进作用。
The past, present and future developments of geomagnetism and biomagnetism are briefly reviewed. We further suggest that the investigation of geomagnetic paleointensity is a key approach to understand the processes of deep Earth's interior. Moreover, we specifically address recent developments on the research of magnetotactic bacteria and discuss potential future breakthroughs in magnetosome studies and its applications.
