CNTs-based gas sensors enjoy many good features, such as small size, the capability of working at room temperature, high sensitivity, and short response time. This paper reviews the recent progress on the development of intrinsic CNTs-based gas sensors, the functionalization of CNTs-based gas sensors and the applications in human breath, with the focus on how to improve the sensing performance(sensitivity,selectivity ,response time and reproducibility) and increase the gas species of detecting through the rational functionalization of CNTs with different materials(organic polymers ,metals and metal oxides) .The new desorption method besides heating and ultraviolet radiation, the selective detection for specific gas in the complex     碳纳米管(CNTs)具有独特的电学、力学、物理、化学性能,可对许多气体进行选择吸附和快速检测。近年来,碳纳米管在气敏传感领域的研究及应用取得了显著进展。碳纳米管气敏传感器具有体积小、常温下即可检测、灵敏度高、响应速度快等优点。综述了本征碳纳米管气敏传感器、碳纳米管气敏传感器的功能化修饰、碳纳米管气敏传感器在呼吸检测中的应用等研究进展。为提高碳纳米管气敏传感器的气敏性能(灵敏度、选择性、响应时间和可重复性)、增大检测气体种类,目前主要通过使用不同材料(有机聚合物、金属、金属氧化物)对碳纳米管进行合理的功能化修饰。在进一步研究中,应重视发展除加热和紫外光照射之外的新脱附技术、研究复杂气体环境中特定气体的选择性检测、将传感器阵列技术用于CNTs气敏传感器、实现商业化的电子器件等问题及挑战。

    Carbon nanatubes(CNTs) have potential applications in the selective and rapid detection of various gas species due to their special electrical, mechanical, physical, chemical performance .
