In our study, COR biosynthesis is enhanced by combination of ultraviolet (UV) radiation and N-methyl-N′-nitro-N-nitrosoguanidine (NTG) mutagenesis in Pseudomonas syringae pv. glycinea PG4180. Wild-type P. syringae pv. glycinea PG4180 is exposed to UV and NTG, to create a mutant M-18 with a high yield of COR. The yield of COR of strain M-18 is increased about 1.8-fold and reaches the maximum COR production in less than one-half of the time that the wild-type P. syringae pv. glycinea PG4180 takes. The pH of the culture medium is decreased much earlier with the mutant M-18 than the wild-type, which confirms that the fermentation period of the mutant is shorter than that of the wild strain.,     冠菌素是一种能够引起大豆叶片黄萎病的致病因子。它作为茉莉酸类物质的结构类似物在植物抵抗各种环境胁迫中起着重要作用。但是目前冠菌素产量比较低,这就限制了冠菌素生理作用的广泛研究。本试验通过紫外、亚硝基胍结合诱变选育冠菌素高产突变体,得到的突变体冠菌素产量是出发菌株的1.8倍,命名为M-18。该菌株在18℃下发酵生产冠菌素,产量大幅度提高,发酵周期明显缩短。
