The cases in treatment group were treated with granular formulation of Fu Fang Qi Ying; the cases in control group with granular formulation of Tang Mai Kang. The clinical symptoms，blood glucose(BG), nerve conduction velocity(NCV), vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF) were observed and recorded before and after the treatment, to see the all-around therapeutic effect. It is shown that the granular formulation of Fu Fang Qi Ying can obviously improve the patients' clinical symptom, raise the VEGF and the NCV of patients. Its all-around therapeutic effect is significant as compared to the control groups. It is concluded that the granular formulation of Fu Fang Qi Ying has good preventive and therapeutic effects in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy, and can raise the level of VEGF., authors=null,
