《科技导报》自2004年第3期刊登“2003年中国重大科学、技术和工程进展”以来,至今已连续21年遴选发布中国年度重大科学、技术和工程进展[1-2]。为盘点2024年中国重大科学、技术和工程进展,《科技导报》编辑部从国内外重要科技期刊和科技新闻媒体2024年1月1日至12月31日间发表、公布或报道的中国科技成果中,遴选、推荐22项重大科学进展、20项重大技术进展、20项重大工程进展候选条目,由《科技导报》编委、审稿人等专家评选,参考每项进展的得票情况,推选出2024年中国重大科学进展10项、重大技术进展10项、重大工程进展10项,以下按发表、公布及报道的时间先后逐一介绍。
当今地球上大部分复杂生命,如动物、陆生植物、真菌和宏体藻类等都是多细胞真核生物。真核生物的多细胞化是生命向复杂化和大型化演化的必备条件,被认为是生命史上的重大演化创新事件之一。已知的化石证据表明,简单的微体多细胞真核生物,在距今10亿年左右的地层中已经出现,并在距今6亿年前后开始多样化和大型化。然而,对于真核生物最早何时发生多细胞化这一重大科学问题,学界并无明确的答案和证据。
中国科学院南京地质古生物研究所朱茂炎研究员团队在燕山地区约16.4亿年前的长城系串岭沟组中发现了迄今最早的多细胞真核生物化石——“壮丽青山藻”(Qingshania magnifica)(图 1[3]。该化石是由单列细胞组成的丝状体,直径达194 μm,长度达860 μm,个体和细胞的形态均具有一定程度的复杂性。部分细胞内含有15~20 μm大小的圆形结构,可能为用于繁殖的“孢子”。化石形态和谱学分析均表明,壮丽青山藻属于多细胞真核生物。这次发现相对于该团队2016年报道的最早宏体多细胞真核生物化石,将多细胞真核生物最早出现的时间进一步提前了约7千万年,但比学界普遍接受的时间早了近6亿年。由于壮丽青山藻出现的时间仅稍晚于最古老的单细胞真核化石记录,表明真核生物出现之后不久便快速发生了多细胞化,远远早于先前的估计。同时,该发现为揭示早期地球-生命系统演化提供了新思考[4]
电池是人类生产生活不可或缺的组成部分。尽管在过去30年锂离子电池的研究取得了显著进展,但其能量密度已接近理论极限(300~350 Wh/kg),如何探索新型电池体系并提升能量密度,是能源领域面临的一个重大挑战。钙−氧气电池具有极高的理论能量密度(~2000 Wh/kg),但是国际学术界普遍认为,其电化学反应过程难以可逆进行,因而无法成为有效的电池体系。
复旦大学彭慧胜院士、王兵杰研究员团队[5-6]发现了钙−氧气电池在室温条件下可通过独特双电子反应电化学机制,实现放电产物可逆生成与分解,为构建可实际应用的钙−氧气电池奠定了理论基础。在此反应机制理论的指导下,建立了钙−氧气电池电解质的设计策略,并在国际上率先构建了可在室温条件下稳定运行700次循环的钙−氧气电池(图 2[5]。团队进一步开发了新型高柔性、高安全性的凝胶电解质,成功构建了高性能纤维钙−氧气电池,并拓展至一系列具有高稳定性和高安全性的柔性纤维电池。该电池核心材料成本是锂离子电池的1%,电池制造过程碳排放量可降低90%以上,为发展高能量、可持续、低成本的未来储能体系奠定了基础,有望在能源领域开拓出一个新方向。
宇宙线是来自宇宙空间的高能粒子,其起源问题困扰了人类110多年,是当代天体物理学最重大的前沿科学问题之一。高海拔宇宙线观测站(LHAASO,简称“拉索”)的成功建造开启了超高能伽马射线天文学时代,为破解银河系内宇宙线起源问题提供了最佳手段。“拉索”第一版伽马射线源表包含43个超高能伽马射线源(图 3),为发现高能宇宙线起源提供了最佳候选天体,对其中2个源深入研究,发现了高能宇宙线起源的关键证据。研究人员在天鹅座恒星形成区发现了一个巨型超高能伽马射线泡状结构,光子能量高达2.5千万亿电子伏,光子空间分布与周围气体密度呈现清晰的关联,为历史上首次发现粒子能量高达1亿亿电子伏超级宇宙线加速器提供了关键证据。超新星遗迹作为银河宇宙线的源是长期存在的理论命题,并在低能量段(小于1万亿电子伏)上找到过实验证据,然而,这一次对W51复合区域的精确能谱测量,是在实验上首次提供了认证超新星遗迹加速的高能宇宙线粒子与分子云碰撞的重要证据,从而发现超新星遗迹对宇宙线粒子的加速极限可以达到约400万亿电子伏[7-9]。这些突破性进展启航了宇宙线起源这一世纪之谜的破解之旅。
叶绿体中的光合作用将光能转化为化学能,是地球生物圈的重要塑造者。破解叶绿体基因“转录机器”的构造,是科学界公认的世界性难题。质体编码的RNA聚合酶(plant plastid-encoded RNA polymerase,PEP)在原质体到叶绿体的发育成熟过程中起重要作用,并作为主要的RNA聚合酶在成熟的叶绿体中转录80%的叶绿体基因。中国科学院分子植物科学卓越创新中心张余团队和华中农业大学周菲团队合作,成功解析PEP冷冻电镜结构[10],揭示了叶绿体基因的“装配部件”“装配模式”和“功能模块”(图 4[10]。研究团队基于叶绿体转化技术,在烟草叶绿体基因PEP上引入特征性的“捕获标签”,解析了叶绿体基因RNA聚合酶PEP复合物和PEP转录延伸复合物的高分辨率冷冻电镜结构,揭示了叶绿体PEP的亚基组成、亚基组装方式、特殊功能和功能适应性演化,并为进一步研究叶绿体中转录调控的机制和功能提供了结构基础[11]。这项研究为理解叶绿体基因表达调控方式、改造叶绿体基因表达调控网络打下了基础,也为提高粮食产量提供了新手段。
生命系统中,从宏观尺度的多细胞有机体到亚微米尺度的细胞器,有序的空间结构十分普遍。其中,自组织结构的形成是生命系统的一个标志。香港中文大学吴艺林团队发现细菌组成的微生物流体可自发产生稳定有序的“涡旋阵列”[12]。这些漩涡由大约104~105个活动的细菌细胞组成,它们以大于厘米的尺度排列在空间中,并具有明显的六边形顺序。漩涡中的单个细胞则以强烈的极性和涡旋顺序在协调方向上移动,这种现象是由系统中自我增强的移动性实现的(图 5[12]。该研究为理解生命系统中一些有序结构的形成提供了新的、更简单的视角,也拓宽了人们对非平衡态物质的认识[13]
引力波是广义相对论的重要预言,近年来已被实验成功探测。根据量子力学的核心概念——波粒二象性,引力波被推测对应着一种自旋2的粒子,即引力子;引力子是连接广义相对论与量子力学的关键。近年来,理论物理学家尝试将广义相对论的几何描述方法引入凝聚态物质,特别是应用于分数量子霍尔效应等强关联量子体系。他们推测,分数量子霍尔效应中的“引力子”可能以准粒子的形式涌现。理论学家将这类准粒子称为分数量子霍尔引力子,可理解为二维空间中的有质量引力子。这种引力子在实验上表现为自旋2的低能集体模式激发,也被称为引力子模或引力子激发,但一直以来未能从实验角度证实。
南京大学物理学院杜灵杰团队在世界上首次发现引力子模[14]——凝聚态物质中的引力子。研究团队自主设计、集成组装了一台根植于He3-He4稀释制冷技术的极低温强磁场共振非弹性偏振光散射系统,依靠这一设备,在砷化镓半导体量子阱中成功观测到这种分数量子霍尔引力子;他们通过改变入射和散射光的自旋,观察到该激发具有自旋2的特性并且是手性的(图 6[14],从自旋、动量和能量角度充分提供了引力子模的实验证据[15]。该研究为在凝聚态系统中研究量子引力相关物理开辟了新的视野,并打开了拓扑关联物态几何效应实验研究的新方向。
多囊卵巢综合征(PCOS)是育龄期女性常见的生殖内分泌紊乱,也是复杂的代谢性疾病,由环境和遗传共同诱发疾病,全球发病率约为10%~13%,然而目前PCOS的治疗方案十分有限。复旦大学汤其群团队研究表明青蒿素类衍生物能够显著改善PCOS疾病表型,为临床治疗相关疾病提供了新的思路(图 7[16]。研究人员建立了PCOS的大鼠及小鼠模型,并使用青蒿素类衍生物蒿甲醚处理该模型,发现青蒿素能够靶向线粒体蛋白酶LONP1,促进LONP1与雄激素合成关键酶CYP11A1的结合,加速CYP11A1的降解,降低PCOS患者的雄激素水平,发挥治疗作用[17]。该研究证明了青蒿素衍生物在减轻啮齿动物模型和人类患者PCOS症状方面的功效,而且强调了它们作为分子胶降解剂的潜力。这一发现为通过靶向LONP1-CYP11A1相互作用来控制卵巢雄激素合成开辟了途径。
嵌合抗原受体T细胞疗法(chimeric antigen receptor T-cell immunotherapy,CAR-T),是典型基因工程介导的免疫细胞疗法。目前,获批上市的CAR-T细胞产品都属于自体类型,这种个性化定制的制备方式使CAR-T细胞无法批量化生产,导致产品价格居高不下。海军军医大学第二附属医院徐沪济教授领衔的合作团队发现将异体通用型CAR-T细胞疗法应用于自身免疫疾病治疗的新途径[18]。研究团队使用健康供者来源的T细胞,经过基因工程改造,制备出针对B淋巴细胞CD19的通用型靶向CAR-T细胞药物(TyU19)。医疗团队将TyU19应用于难治性风湿免疫疾病患者的治疗(图 8[18],结果表明,靶向CD19的通用型CAR-T细胞在所有患者体内能够有效扩增和完全清除B淋巴细胞,3个月后实现B细胞的重塑。这是国际首次成功使用异体通用型CAR-T治疗自身免疫疾病[19]。这项研究不仅为目前缺乏有效治疗手段的风湿免疫性疾病患者提供了新的治疗选择,还展示了通用型CAR-T细胞疗法在有效性和安全性方面的巨大潜力。
丙烯生产是石油化工领域的核心支柱产业。传统丙烷脱氢制丙烯催化剂采用稀缺昂贵的贵金属或者存在重金属污染风险,导致行业面临可持续发展问题。更高效、更廉价、更环保的下一代丙烯催化剂技术已成为全球化工行业竞相抢占的科技制高点。天津大学巩金龙团队采用地球储量丰富、环境友好的钛和镍元素,建立氢溢流诱导的金属-氧化物界面有序构建策略,研制廉价绿色丙烯生产催化剂[20]。通过精准调控氧化钛在金属镍颗粒表面的覆盖度,揭示了氧化物与金属产生电子作用促进催化过程的新机制,大幅提升催化本征活性(图 9[20]。新型催化剂体现出优异的丙烯选择性及稳定性,性能优于传统催化剂,可节约成本30%~50%,且实现了催化剂在全生命周期的无毒化处理和低能耗运行。该研究为下一代烯烃催化剂核心技术奠定科学基础,为低碳烯烃绿色生产提供新方案,推动化工行业向环保、高效、可持续方向发展。
2024年6月25日,中国嫦娥六号月球探测器首次完成人类从月球背面采样,携带1935.3 g样品返回地球。中国科学院国家天文台李春来团队率先阐述了返回样品的物理、矿物和地球化学特征[21]。研究表明,嫦娥六号返回样品结构较为松散,孔隙率较高。与嫦娥五号样品相比,此次样品中斜长石含量明显增加,而橄榄石含量显著减少,表明该区域的月壤明显受到了非玄武质物质的影响(图 10)。此后,中国科学院地质与地球物理研究所李献华院士团队、中国科学院广州地球化学研究所徐义刚院士团队揭示月球背面约28亿年前仍存在年轻的岩浆活动[22]。研究发现,月球背面42亿年前存在来自富集克里普物质源区的火山活动,月海玄武岩的分布不仅受月壳厚度影响,月幔源区的物质组成也是重要的控制因素[23]。嫦娥六号带回的月球背面样品不仅填补了月球背面研究的历史空白,更为研究月球早期演化、背面火山活动和撞击历史提供了直接证据,也为理解月球背面与正面地质差异开辟了新的视角[24]
紫杉醇是全球销量第一的植物广谱抗癌药物,其化学全合成一直是有机化学家面临的一个重要挑战。用于药物生产的材料主要是从红豆杉的原始树木中分离baccatin Ⅲ等生产原料,随后通过化学转化为紫杉醇或多西紫杉醇等其他抗癌药物分子。紫杉醇的生物合成反应步骤包括从底物香叶基焦磷酸(GGPP)形成紫杉烷骨架,通过C4和C20双键的环氧化生物合成baccatin Ⅲ,以及将phenylisoserine链连接到baccatin Ⅲ的C13位置生成紫杉醇这3个关键过程。其中,形成baccatin Ⅲ的几个基本步骤仍然未知,特别是环氧丁烷的形成和C9的氧化,因此迄今为止缺乏完整的紫杉醇生物合成途径。
中国农业科学院农业基因组研究所闫建斌团队领衔,联合北京大学雷晓光等国内其他研究团队,利用多学科技术手段,人工重建了在烟草中生产baccatin Ⅲ的生物合成途径[25]。研究人员首先发现了紫杉醇生物合成中最具挑战的关键酶——紫杉烷氧杂环丁烷合酶(TOT1),这是一种双功能加氧酶,它直接将烯烃部分转化为环氧化物和环氧丁烷(图 11)。之后鉴定出baccatin Ⅲ合成的2个必需基因(TOT1和T9αH)后,将这2个新基因与其他已知参与baccatin Ⅲ生物合成的基因(TXST5αHT13αH、2α hT7βHTATTBT)共表达,发现当T9αHTOT1与baccatin Ⅲ生物合成途径的7个已知基因共表达时,可以成功检测到baccatin Ⅲ。该研究解决了打通紫杉醇生物合成途径这一世界难题,阐明了紫杉醇关键药效基团的形成机制,为解决紫杉醇关键生产技术问题铺平道路。
大数据时代,如何安全高效且低成本存储数据成为亟待解决的难题。光存储技术(optical data storage,ODS)具有绿色节能、安全可靠、寿命长达50~100年的独特优势,然而受到光学衍射极限的限制,传统商用光盘的最大容量仅在100 GB量级。如何在有限体积内有效增加存储密度、提高单盘存储容量,一直是光存储领域的重大挑战。
上海理工大学光子芯片研究院顾敏,张江实验室、上海理工大学文静,中国科学院上海光学精密机械研究所阮昊联合研究组通过将平面记录架构扩展到数百层的三维空间,同时打破记录点的光学衍射极限屏障,将ODS的容量提高到Pb级[26]。研究开发了一种掺有聚集诱导发光染料的有机树脂薄膜的光学记录介质,首次报道了其在飞秒激光调控下的聚集诱导发光现象,并深入探讨了一系列全新的机理过程。研究首创了双光束调控掺杂聚集诱导发光染料的有机树脂薄膜超分辨光存储技术(图 12[26],在信息写入和读出方面均突破光学衍射极限的限制,实验实现记录点尺寸为54 nm、点间距为70 nm并多达100层的记录,验证材料寿命大于40年。运用这一超分辨纳米三维光盘存储器技术,单盘等效存储容量为1.6 Pb,这对我国在信息存储领域突破关键核心技术、实现数字经济可持续发展具有重大意义。
以大模型为代表的人工智能技术迅猛发展,对算力的需求呈现远超摩尔定律增长的趋势,新兴智能计算范式的发展迫在眉睫。以光为计算媒介,以光的可控传播构建计算模型,光计算以其高算力低能耗特性打开了智能计算的新赛道,成为新一代人工智能的国际前沿。
针对大规模可重构智能光计算难题,清华大学方璐、戴琼海研究团队[27]首创了广度光计算架构,建立干涉-衍射联合传播模型,研制了国际首款大规模通用智能光计算芯片“太极-Ⅰ”,实现每焦耳160万亿次运算的系统级能量效率,赋能自然场景千类对象识别、跨模态内容生成等通用人工智能任务(图 13)。《Science》杂志评价:“这项工作朝着实现实际光计算迈出了重要而有前景的一步,为人工智能的多种应用提供了有力支持。”英国皇家工程院院士、剑桥大学副校长Richard Penty(理查德·彭迪)评价“具备扩展性和速度优势,应用广泛”。
针对光神经网络训练规模与精度矛盾的难题,研究组构建了光子传播对称性模型,摒弃了电训练反向传播范式,首创了全前向智能光训练架构,摆脱了对GPU离线训练的依赖,实现了高效精准的原位光训练,研制了智能光训练芯片“太极-Ⅱ”,训练效率提升1~2个数量级[28]。法国科学院纳米科学技术中心主任Damien Querlioz(达米安·奎里奥斯)评价“架构优雅、巧妙,可广泛应用于各种物理神经网络与机器学习硬件系统。”
太极系列光芯片首次实现了大规模光神经网络的推理与训练,以更低的资源消耗和更小的边际成本,为人工智能大模型、通用人工智能、智能无人系统等注入算力发展的“光子”动力,为后摩尔时代高速高能效智能计算探索新路径。
冰广泛存在于自然界中,其表面与许多物理和化学性质密切相关,如融化、冻结、摩擦、气体吸附和大气反应。冰表面常在低于其熔点(0℃)的温度下开始融化,这一现象称为冰的预融化,其对理解冰面的润滑现象、云的形成及冰川的消融过程等至关重要。自从19世纪中期法拉第首次提出冰表面会发生预融化的概念以来,由于谱学手段无法得到冰表面原子尺度的准确信息,预融化的机制和起始温度的争论已持续170多年。
北京大学物理学院量子材料科学中心、北京怀柔综合性国家科学中心轻元素量子材料交叉平台、钱塘基础科学研究院江颖、徐莉梅、田野、王恩哥研究团队利用自主研发的国产qPlus型扫描探针显微镜,首次获得自然界最常见的六角冰表面的原子级分辨图像(图 14[29]。研究团队发现冰表面在零下153℃(120 K)开始融化,这个温度远低于之前研究普遍认为的预融化起始温度(大于200 K),并结合理论计算揭示了该过程的微观机制[29]。研究人员发现冰表面存在一种长程有序的周期性超结构,通过分析超结构表面的氢核分布,并结合第一性原理计算,发现这种独特的氢键网络结构能显著降低冰表面悬挂氢核之间的静电排斥能,从而使其比理想冰表面更加稳定。这些发现结束了关于冰表面结构及氢序的长期争论,颠覆了长期以来人们对冰表面结构和预融化机制的传统认识。
随着人工智能的飞速发展,无人驾驶和具身智能等无人系统在现实社会中不断推广应用。而在复杂多变且不可预测的环境中,实现高效、精确且鲁棒(指在异常和危险情况下系统生存的能力)的视觉感知面临巨大挑战。
清华大学类脑计算研究中心施路平、赵蓉团队借鉴人类视觉系统,提出基于原语的类脑互补视觉感知新范式,并研发“天眸芯”视觉感知芯片,在理论、芯片、算法、软件和系统应用方面取得重大突破(图 15[30]。新范式将视觉信息拆解为基于视觉原语的表示,通过有机组合形成“认知”与“动作”2条优势互补、信息完备的视觉感知通路,突破传统性能瓶颈。“天眸芯”拥有类人视觉的双通路感知能力,在极低的带宽(降低90%)和功耗的代价下,实现了每秒1万帧的高速、10 bit的高精度、130 dB的高动态范围的视觉信息采集。它不仅突破了传统视觉感知范式的性能瓶颈,而且能够高效应对各种极端场景,确保系统的稳定性和安全性。此突破开辟了类脑感知和原语数据表示的新领域,为理解人类感知提供新视角。“天眸芯”有望成为未来视觉感知、空间智能的基座技术,为智能驾驶、工业自动化、消费成像、科学测量等领域带来深远变革。
实现大片段DNA在基因组的高效精准整合,是整个基因工程领域亟需突破的难题。针对这一重大技术挑战,多种基因写入技术已被开发,但这些技术都依赖于DNA模板作为基因写入的供体。在实际医学应用中,DNA供体面临免疫原性高、在体递送困难、在基因组中具有随机整合风险等诸多挑战。相比之下,RNA供体具有免疫原性低、可被非病毒载体(例如LNP)有效递送、在细胞内迅速降解,无随机整合风险等特点,能有效应对DNA供体所面临的挑战。而实现功能基因尺度的大片段DNA基因组精准定点整合,仍然是基因工程领域面临的挑战。
中国科学院动物研究所李伟与周琪研究团队结合基因组数据挖掘和大分子工程改造等手段,开发了使用RNA供体进行大片段基因精准写入的R2逆转座子工具,能够在多种哺乳动物细胞系、原代细胞中实现大片段基因(>1.5 Kb)高效精准的整合,成功实现了全RNA介导的功能基因在多种哺乳动物基因组的精准写入(图 16[31]。研究团队结合数据分析和工程化改造方法,成功开发了全RNA介导的、高效精准的基因写入技术,首次在多种人和小鼠细胞系及原代细胞中实现了功能基因的定点整合。未来有望基于此工具开发在体功能基因回补写入以及在体生成CAR-T细胞等全新的疾病治疗方法,有望为遗传病、肿瘤等疾病带来更高效、更安全、更低成本的全新治疗方式,为新一代创新基因疗法的发展提供了基础。
人类对超导技术的探索极大地推动了其在磁共振成像、粒子加速器、磁悬浮列车等领域的应用,然而,人们对于转变温度高于77 K液氮转变温度的铜氧化物高温超导体的超导机理尚未完全掌握。基于费米子哈伯德模型的理论研究表明,掺杂系统中的反铁磁自旋涨落可能在高温超导的配对机制中起到关键作用。因此,科学家们十分迫切地想用实验证实这一点。
中国科学技术大学潘建伟团队成功构建了求解费米子哈伯德模型的超冷原子量子模拟器(图 17[32],以超越经典计算机的模拟能力首次验证了该体系中的反铁磁相变。研究团队在前期实现盒型势阱中的均匀费米超流的基础上[33],创造性地将盒型光势阱(box trap)和平顶光晶格(flat-top optical lattice)技术相结合,实现空间均匀的费米子哈伯德体系的绝热制备。该体系包含大约80万个格点,比目前主流实验的几十个格点规模提高了约4个数量级,并具有一致的哈密顿量参数,且温度显著低于奈尔温度(即反铁磁相变温度)。在此基础上,研究团队通过精确调控相互作用强度、温度和掺杂浓度,直接观察到反铁磁相变的确凿证据——自旋结构因子在相变点附近呈现符合幂律的临界发散现象,从而首次验证费米子哈伯德模型包括掺杂条件下的反铁磁相变。该研究向获得该模型低温相图、理解高温超导机理迈出了重要的第一步,也全新打开构建专用量子模拟机的大门,为未来大规模量子网络铺平道路。
自1960年激光问世以来,通过在频率、时间、动量或空间等维度对光场进行局域化,从而实现更高性能的激光一直是推动激光物理与器件发展的核心驱动力。在空间维度上,极端局域化光场可获得纳米尺度激光,为直接观察单个分子开辟了可能性,为物理和生命科学提供了创新的成像和研究工具。
北京大学物理学院马仁敏研究组[34]提出一种全新的奇点色散方程,揭示了全介电蝴蝶结纳米天线的色散特性。研究组将具有电场无限大奇点的介电蝶形纳米天线与转角光学纳腔相结合,构建了模式体积突破光学衍射极限的奇点纳腔,通过刻蚀-生长两步法在半导体多量子阱增益材料中制备了具有原子级特征尺度的奇点介电纳米激光,首次在介电体系中实现突破光学衍射极限的奇点介电纳米激光器(图 18[34]。该奇点纳米激光器光腔品质因子(即光腔存储能量与每周期损失能量的比值)可超过100万。奇点介电纳米激光将激光特征尺度推进至原子级,与X射线达到的尺度相当,这一突破有望为物质科学和生命科学的研究提供新的工具。
聚合物热电材料是贴附式和可穿戴能源器件的关键材料之一,然而,相对于已有的热电材料体系,聚合物热电材料长期面临热电优值(ZT)低的困境,无法满足温差发电与固态制冷应用的核心指标需求,亟需通过分子理性设计与组装调控实现性能跃升。
中国科学院化学研究所朱道本、狄重安研究团队与张德清课题组,联合北京航空航天大学赵立东课题组及国内外的研究团队,提出并构建了聚合物多周期异质结(PMHJ)热电材料(图 19[35]。研究团队利用PDPPSe-12和PBTTT 2种聚合物,结合分子交联方法制备了具有不同结构特征的PMHJ薄膜,实验发现,当每种聚合物的厚度接近共轭骨架的“声子”平均自由程时,界面散射明显增强,薄膜的晶格热导率降低70% 以上。当2种聚合物及其界面层厚度分别为(6.3±0.5)、(4.2±0.4)和(3.9±0.4)nm时,掺杂PMHJ薄膜展现出优异的电输运性质,368 K下的ZT值为1.28,达到商品化材料在相同温区的热电性能水平。此外,PMHJ结构具有优异的普适性,其加工方式与溶液法制备技术兼容,在柔性供能器件方面具有重要应用潜力。这一研究突破了现有高性能聚合物热电材料不依赖热输运调控的认知局限,推动了有机热电材料进入ZT>1.0的时代,有望为热电塑料领域的持续发展提供新路径。
负载型金属催化剂是化学工业过程最广泛使用的催化剂之一,对石油化工精炼和工业化学制造至关重要,金属载体相互作用的本质及其调控是高效、稳定催化剂研发中所面临的重大科学问题。为了量化金属-载体相互作用(MSIs),已通过实验和符号回归方法提出许多描述符,如金属亲氧性、金属表面能和电子密度。然而,开发一个全面的MSIs理论,用于氧化物载体上的金属催化剂,仍然是非均相催化中的主要挑战。
中国科学技术大学李微雪研究团队[36]通过先进的可解释AI算法,结合实验数据、可解释的机器学习、理论推导和第一性原理模拟,揭示了金属-载体相互作用的本质,建立了其与材料基本性质之间的本征控制方程,提出“强金属-金属作用原理性判据”,建立了一个基于金属-金属相互作用(MMIs)和金属-氧相互作用(MOIs)的MSIs通用理论(图 20),解决了氧化物包裹金属催化剂的难题。为了找到物理MSIs模型,通过将提炼出的特征与简单的数学运算符结合起来,进行了超过300亿个数学表达式的全面探索,以确保模型的可解释性而不牺牲准确性。这一科学突破,将助力于高活性、高选择性、高稳定性催化剂的优化设计。
2024年2月7日,中国位于南极洲罗斯海恩克斯堡岛的秦岭站正式开站。该站是面向太平洋扇区的第一座考察站,填补了中国在南极罗斯海区域的空白,完善了南极科考布局,具有重要战略意义[37]
秦岭站主体建筑面积达5120 m2,是中国现有考察站中最大的单体建筑。站内功能完备,包括指挥调度、海洋实验室、人员住宿、办公会议等,可容纳度夏考察人员80人,越冬考察人员30人。考察范围可辐射周围300~500 km区域[38]
秦岭站将重点开展海洋学观测与研究,同时涉及大气科学、冰川学、地质学和空间物理学等学科。利用东邻特拉诺瓦湾冰间湖的地理优势,该站将联合各国对冰间湖生态过程、罗斯冰架-海洋相互作用等前沿科学问题进行深入研究,并将考察站建成国际合作平台(图 21)。
2024年3月22日,亚洲第一深水导管架“海基二号”从珠海高栏港顺利出港,驶向中国第一个深水油田—流花11-1/4-1油田。“海基二号”总长338.5 m,总重达36430 t,刷新了亚洲在结构高度、重量和作业水深等方面的纪录,是中国在深水超大型导管架平台自主设计建造能力达到世界先进水平的标志[39]。此次出港由10艘大马力拖轮协作完成,对通航安全保障要求极高。
“海基二号”的深海油气开发模式在国际上尚属首次,预计延长流花深水油田开采寿命30年[40]。该项目由中国海油深圳分公司主导。“海基二号”的成功出港,提升了中国海油的品牌影响力,展现了中国在高端海洋装备制造领域的实力(图 22)。
2024年6月25日,嫦娥六号返回器在内蒙古四子王旗预定区域实现精准着陆并稳定运行,宣告中国探月工程第6次任务取得全面成功。首次完成月球背面样本采集与返回的全球创举,为人类深化月球研究贡献了独一无二的科学资料。
2024年5月3日,嫦娥六号探测器升空后成功进入地月转移轨道,经轨道修正与近月制动后稳定运行于环月轨道。6月2日,着陆器降落在月球背面南极-艾特肯盆地并完成采样。6月4日,上升器携月壤样品从月背起飞,6月6日与环月轨道上的返回器组合体实现交会对接并转移样本。返回器最终于6月25日脱离轨道器重返地球[41]
此次月背采样是中国航天、科技强国建设的重要成果,彰显了中国航天的技术水平和探索精神(图 23)。
2024年6月30日,深中通道正式通车试运营,这一全球首个集“桥、岛、隧、水下互通”为一体的跨海集群工程,全长约24 km,将深圳至中山的车程从约2 h缩短至30 min[42],促进了珠江口东西两岸的融合发展。
深中通道的建设历时7年,创造多项世界纪录,包括:世界最大跨径全离岸海中钢箱梁悬索桥,总跨达2826 m;世界最高通航净空海中大桥,主塔高270 m,桥面距海平面91 m,通航净空76.5 m;世界最长的双向8车道海底沉管隧道,长约6.8 km;世界首例水下高速公路枢纽互通,东人工岛全岛陆域面积34.38万m2 [43]
深中通道的通车,不仅缩短了交通时间,更使得“深圳总部+中山制造”“深圳研发+中山转化”等产业合作新模式成为可能,助力大湾区产业升级(图 24)。
2024年9月22日,中国科学院合肥物质科学研究院强磁场科学中心自主研制的水冷磁体产生了42.02 T的稳态磁场,刷新了世界纪录。该突破攻克了高功率磁体结构设计、制造工艺与系统支撑的难题(功率达32.3 MW),标志着中国跻身全球五大稳态强磁场实验室前列[44]
稳态强磁场是探索量子材料、超导机理等前沿领域的核心实验条件。该装置自2010年起运行,至2023年底已累计服务国内外197家科研机构超60万机时,支撑3000余项课题研究,产出一批重大成果,包括“首次发现外尔轨道导致的三维量子霍尔效应”“揭示日光照射改善学习记忆的分子及神经环路机制”等(图 25)。
2024年11月17日,中国首艘大洋钻探船“梦想”号在广州南沙正式建成入列,标志着中国深海探测关键技术装备取得重大突破。“梦想”号的入列,将为中国深海资源勘探、关键技术装备研发,以及全球科学家开展大洋科学钻探研究提供重大平台支撑[45]
“梦想”号长179.8 m,宽32.8 m,排水量42600 t,续航力15000海里,自持力120 d,载员180人。该船具备全球海域无限航区作业能力,可在6级海况下正常作业,16级超强台风下安全生存。该船采用模块化设计理念,集成了大洋钻探、深海油气勘探等多种功能,最大钻深可达11000 m。“梦想”号还拥有超过3000 m2的九大功能实验室,可满足海洋领域全学科研究需求[46]
“梦想”号瞄准莫霍面钻探等前沿科学问题,计划在未来两年内完成大洋钻探首钻(图 26)。
2024年12月7日,中国自主研制的“低能量强流高电荷态重离子研究装置”通过验收,标志着中国重离子加速器技术实现重大突破。该装置由超导高电荷态电子回旋共振(ECR)离子源、连续波新型射频四极场(RFQ)重离子加速器等核心系统构成,具备3大国际领先优势:(1)全球首台45 GHz超导ECR离子源,采用铌三锡超导磁体并实现双频微波等离子体加热,创离子源流强世界纪录;(2)RFQ加速器达毫安级束流强度,实现 16O6+209Bi35+离子束稳定运行;(3)全球首次实现多元素混合束加速[47]
作为尖端科研平台,该装置将支撑核天体物理关键核反应截面测量、核能材料辐照损伤模拟等重大研究,其突破性技术对国际强流重离子加速器发展具有引领作用,推动高场超导磁体技术革新(图 27)。
2024年12月16日,中国自主建造的全球最大吨位新型“海上浮式生产储油船”(M026 FPSO)在江苏启东交付启航,将赴巴西参与大型超深水石油开发项目,显著提升中国深远海资源自主开发能力。
M026 FPSO由启东中远海工建造,体长335.31 m,型宽60 m,型深33.52 m。其设计日生产18万桶石油,可处理1200万m3标准天然气,最大储存能力140万桶原油,是目前世界最大吨位、最大储油量的新型海上浮式生产储油装置,也被称为“海上移动炼油厂”。它的作业海域深达约1900 m,并能同时连接15口油井进行高效油气作业,预计服役22.5年[48]。M026 FPSO标志着中国高端海洋工程装备制造迈入新阶段,为全球大型浮式生产装备提供中国方案,助推海洋能源产业链向高端跃迁(图 28)。
2024年12月18日,华能金坛盐穴压缩空气储能发电二期项目在江苏常州金坛区正式开工建设。该项目是目前世界上单机功率最大、总容量最大、综合效率最高的压缩空气储能电站。项目规划建设2套350 MW非补燃式压缩空气储能机组,总容积达120万m3,建成后将显著提升区域电网调节能力和可再生能源消纳能力,对推动能源结构转型具有重要意义。
该项目由中国华能和中盐集团合作开发并负责项目建设和运维,清华大学提供技术支持。二期项目建成后,一次充电可储存电量280万kWh,满足10万辆新能源汽车的充电需求,年预计充放电约330次,年发电量将达到9.24亿度,相当于节约标准煤27万t、减少二氧化碳排放52万t。项目将实现核心装备100%的国产化(图 29[49]
2024年12月30日,世界最长高速公路隧道——天山胜利隧道全线贯通,标志着中国交通建设取得重大成就(图 30)。通车后,穿越天山的时间将从3 h缩短至约20 min,乌鲁木齐至库尔勒的车程也将从7 h以上缩短至约3 h[50]
天山胜利隧道,是乌尉高速公路的“咽喉”工程,单洞长22.13 km,地质复杂,需穿越16条断裂带,岩层破碎且富含水。为应对挑战,在52个月的施工过程中,建设团队首次在国内高速公路隧道建设中应用硬岩掘进机,首创“三洞+四竖井”施工法,实现“长隧短打”快速掘进,有效缩短施工工期[51]
天山胜利隧道通车将极大便利新疆居民出行,促进南北交流。预计2025年通车后,将成为新疆绝美“此生必驾”线路。此工程充分展现了中国工程实力和创新精神。
