Subtalar arthroscopy is a minimally invasive method for examination of subtalar joints, which has been widely used in the treatment of calcaneal fractures in recent years. At present, subtalar arthroscopy mainly includes three surgical approaches: lateral approach, posterior approach, and medial approach. At the same time, combined with tarsal sinus approach, percutaneous pry reduction and internal fixation, small incision approach, 3D printing technology, external fixator, osteotomy correction and subtalar arthrodesis, subtalar arthroscopy is more widely used. However, this technique has higher requirements for the operator. Improper operation is very likely to cause adverse reactions such as nerve injury and poor fracture healing.
