This paper analyzes the energy production and consumption structure, the development status of the energy discipline, and the challenges faced by the discipline development, and puts forward the idea of creating a first-class energy discipline in combination with the future energy development. Following the principle of the "innovation-driven development", this paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions for the construction of energy discipline from the aspects of giving full
