By the early 1990s, in view of the pressure of the energy security, the environmental protection and other factors, China began to further strengthen the development of renewable energy such as the solar energy, the wind energy and the biomass energy. This paper reviews the achievements and the progress of the renewable energy technology in the past 70 years.
