In order to provide overall review of researchers on multicore operating system, the common problems that the current mainstream multicore operating systems are facing are analyzed; these problems include real-time scheduling algorithm, load balance, synchronization mechanism, task model, and their applications in the embedded domain. Finally, application examples based on multicore operating system—LITMUS are given by means of the discussion on the system structure, design method, basic principles, and scheduling algorithm, etc. Through the analysis on some key issues in the solution method, the basic idea for transplantation and scalability in the field of multicore embedded problems is given, at the same time, the blueprint
