"Drug Standard of Ministry of Public Health of the People's Republic of China-Chinese Patent Medicine" is an authoritative and statutory standard to identify the quality and variety of herbs and ensure safe and effective administration by Ministry of Public Health. According to statistics, there are 4052 kinds of Chinese Patent Medicines (CPMs) in "Drug Standard of Ministry of Public Health of the Peoples Republic of China-Chinese Patent Medicine", in which 43 CPMs contain eighteen incompatible herbs, 25 CPMs contain nineteen herbs of mutual antagonism, and three CPMs contain both eighteen incompatible herbs and nineteen herbs of mutual antagonism.
