During the operation process, property deterioration of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) cable is often caused by multiple stresses. In order to explain the variation law and mechanism of dielectric properties of EPDM cable under the extrusion stress and thermal stress, we took EPDM for cable insulation of coal cutter as an object to study. The dielectric spectroscope of EPDM under the combined action of extrusion pressure and thermal stress was measured. The characteristic parameters of dielectric spectroscopy were obtained by simulating the dielectric spectroscopy according to the expression of complex permittivity from the single relaxation Cole-Cole model modified by DC conductivity. The change rule of the DC conductance and relaxation time constant was analyzed. The results show that temperature and extrusion pressure have obvious effects on the complex dielectric constant of EPDM. At a higher temperature, the increase of the real part of the complex permittivity at the lower frequency is obvious. Under the effect of DC conductivity and polarization, with the increase of extrusion pressure and temperature, the increase trend of real part of the complex permittivity at low frequencies slows down, while the real part decreases gradually at higher frequencies. Therefore, the change of DC conductance caused by extrusion stress and temperature is the key to the change of the complex dielectric constant of EPDM.

三元乙丙橡胶(EPDM)电缆在运行过程中经常受到多应力共同作用致使其性能劣化。为了解释三元乙丙橡胶电缆在挤压应力和热应力共同作用下介电性能的变化规律和机理,以采煤机电缆绝缘用三元乙丙橡胶为研究对象,测量挤压应力和热应力共同作用下三元乙丙橡胶的介电频谱,利用经直流电导率修正的单弛豫Cole-Cole模型,结合模型下的复介电常数表达式对介电谱进行拟合,得到介电谱特征参量,分析其中直流电导率和弛豫时间常数的变化规律。结果表明:温度和挤压应力对三元乙丙橡胶的复介电常数有明显的影响。温度较高时,低频下的复介电常数实部增大明显;受直流电导率和极化影响,当挤压应力增大后,随温度升高,低频下的复介电常数实部增大趋势变缓,较高频率下则逐渐减小。因此,挤压应力和温度共同造成直流电导变化是影响三元乙丙橡胶复介电常数变化的关键。

三元乙丙橡胶(EPDM)电缆在运行过程中经常受到多应力共同作用致使其性能劣化。为了解释三元乙丙橡胶电缆在挤压应力和热应力共同作用下介电性能的变化规律和机理,以采煤机电缆绝缘用三元乙丙橡胶为研究对象,测量挤压应力和热应力共同作用下三元乙丙橡胶的介电频谱,利用经直流电导率修正的单弛豫Cole-Cole模型,结合模型下的复介电常数表达式对介电谱进行拟合,得到介电谱特征参量,分析其中直流电导率和弛豫时间常数的变化规律。结果表明:温度和挤压应力对三元乙丙橡胶的复介电常数有明显的影响。温度较高时,低频下的复介电常数实部增大明显;受直流电导率和极化影响,当挤压应力增大后,随温度升高,低频下的复介电常数实部增大趋势变缓,较高频率下则逐渐减小。因此,挤压应力和温度共同造成直流电导变化是影响三元乙丙橡胶复介电常数变化的关键。

During the operation process, property deterioration of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) cable is often caused by multiple stresses. In order to explain the variation law and mechanism of dielectric properties of EPDM cable under the extrusion stress and thermal stress, we took EPDM for cable insulation of coal cutter as an object to study. The dielectric spectroscope of EPDM under the combined action of extrusion pressure and thermal stress was measured. The characteristic parameters of dielectric spectroscopy were obtained by simulating the dielectric spectroscopy according to the expression of complex permittivity from the single relaxation Cole-Cole model modified by DC conductivity. The change rule of the DC conductance and relaxation time constant was analyzed. The results show that temperature and extrusion pressure have obvious effects on the complex dielectric constant of EPDM. At a higher temperature, the increase of the real part of the complex permittivity at the lower frequency is obvious. Under the effect of DC conductivity and polarization, with the increase of extrusion pressure and temperature, the increase trend of real part of the complex permittivity at low frequencies slows down, while the real part decreases gradually at higher frequencies. Therefore, the change of DC conductance caused by extrusion stress and temperature is the key to the change of the complex dielectric constant of EPDM.

基于三元乙丙橡胶(ethylene propylene diene monomer,EPDM)出色的耐湿性能、浸水后电气性能和力学性能几乎不下降、耐水树形成能力高、耐电晕及耐热性好、结构稳定性好等优点,我国煤矿综采工作面采煤机,拖拽电缆均采用三元乙丙橡胶作为绝缘[1]。然而,矿井工况复杂,采煤机拖拽电缆长期运行在拖拽、弯曲、挤压、潮湿、大负荷冲击的工作环境下,使得其绝缘经常受到电、热、机械应力等因素的复合作用。这些因素共同作用使得电缆绝缘易老化或形成内部缺陷,逐渐引起短路或放电等故障,进而导致人身触电、绝缘撕裂、电缆断线,甚至电缆着火或者瓦斯爆炸的事故。除此之外,采煤机拖拽电缆一旦发生故障,需要对故障部位进行局部硫化热补处理,甚至更换沿综采工作面敷设数百米的整根电缆,势必造成一段时间的停工停产,既会对矿井的生产造成严重的经济损失,也不符合我国发展高产高效矿井的需求。因此,分析与评估采煤机拖拽电缆用EPDM在此运行环境下的性能,对于及时修复或更换接近使用寿命期限的电缆,保障矿井下电力系统安全稳定运行具有重要意义。
近年来,基于介电响应的回复电压法(RVM)[2-3]、极化-去极化电流法(PDC)[4-5]、频域介电谱法(FDS)[6]等非破坏性测量方法已逐渐被用于油浸式变压器、大型电机、电力电缆、电容器等电力设备的绝缘状态评估和诊断。相对于回复电压法和极化-去极化电流法,频域介电谱法具有可在较低电压下测量、携带信息丰富等优势,更适用于大型电力设备现场的检测。王雷等[7]通过测量核电厂退运乙丙橡胶电缆的微观结构和介电谱,发现退运电缆的乙丙橡胶绝缘内外侧中均存在大量微孔,绝缘介质的电导率与介电常数也较大。阎敏[8]对船舶用单芯和三芯乙丙橡胶电缆介电谱进行测量,发现随着使用时间的延长,电缆绝缘介质的电导率和介质损耗因数(tanδ)都增大,并且通过将tanδ频谱曲线与绝缘良好的介电频谱曲线进行对比,判断船舶用电力电缆的绝缘情况。朱少波[9]对列车车载乙丙橡胶绝缘热老化进行了研究,以tanδ的积分值作为评估受热老化后车载乙丙橡胶电缆老化状态的参量。H YAMAGUCHI等[10]在不同温度下对阻燃乙丙橡胶进行热降解试验,测量了所得样品的压头模量(IM)、断裂伸长率、拉伸强度和复介电常数等参量,结果发现,介电性能发生变化比力学性能发生变化要晚,提出IM是阻燃乙丙橡胶降解的良好指标。综上所述,国内外对乙丙橡胶绝缘性能评估的研究多针对以单一因子的影响,机械应力对电缆绝缘性能影响的研究较少;对于掌握多应力作用下乙丙橡胶绝缘的介电性能变化规律和绝缘老化机理以及应力之间的协同作用带来了很大的困难。
为研究机械应力和热应力联合作用对EPDM绝缘性能的影响,本文以EPDM为研究对象,首先测量EPDM绝缘材料在不同挤压力和温度共同作用下的介电谱;然后介绍经直流电导修正的单弛豫Cole-Cole模型下复介电常数表达式,结合Cole-Cole模型对所测的介电谱数据进行拟合,得到相应的介电谱特征参量;最后分析EPDM绝缘介电特性随压力和温度的变化规律,以及两种应力对其介电谱特征参数的影响。
在经典Debye模型的基础上可以得出复介电常数ε*的表达式[11],如式(1)所示。

式(1)中:ε′和ε″为复介电常数的实部和虚部;εsε分别为复介电常数实部ε′→0(静态)和ε′→∞(光频)的极限值;τ为弛豫时间常数;ω为角频率;j为虚数。
式(1)中引入分布参数α可以得到单弛豫的Cole-Cole模型[12],如式(2)所示。

式(2)中,α为形状参数,0<α<1。
若介电常数虚部出现明显峰值等现象,则材料内部不止发生一种弛豫现象[12]。除此之外,载流子会在电场作用下发生积聚并且产生电导作用,造成较大的电导损耗。加入直流电导σdc后修正的单弛豫Cole-Cole模型表达式,如式(3)所示。

式(3)中:σdc为直流电导率;Δεi为第i个弛豫过程的弛豫强度;τi为第i个弛豫过程的弛豫时间;αi为第i个弛豫过程的形状参数。
根据《GB/T 7594.8—1987电线电缆橡皮绝缘和橡皮护套第8部分:90℃橡皮绝缘》标准,本文使用经过密炼和滤橡的DCJ30M型三元乙丙橡胶胶片制作试样。首先,将胶片置于120℃的模具上预热 1 min。然后在165℃、10 MPa压力下对胶片热压硫化15 min。完成后,取出试样,放入温度为80℃的真空干燥箱静置48 h,消除硫化产生的副产物和机械应力。最后将试样裁剪成直径为25 mm、厚度为0.5 mm的圆片。试验前用酒精擦拭试样表面并静置12 h。
本试验设置温度为60、90、120℃。参照《GB/T 2951.11—2008电缆和光缆绝缘和护套材料通用试验方法》,选择机械挤压应力为100、200、400、600、800 kPa。
图1为多应力宽频介电谱测量系统图。试验所用仪器为NOVOCONTROL Concept 80型宽频介电阻抗谱测量系统,测量电压为3 V,测量电极直径为20 mm。为了在测量过程中同时施加温度和挤压应力,试验中将测量端和接地端经50 Ω的同轴电缆引入温控箱中。温控箱的控温精度为±1℃。为避免温度和挤压应力施加瞬间的不确定性对测量带来影响,试验中对试样施加挤压应力且温度达到预定值30 min后再开始测量。
图2图3是温度分别为30、60、90℃,挤压应力分别为100、200、400、600、800 kPa时EPDM的介电谱。
图2可以看出,温度为30℃和60℃时,随着挤压应力的增大,EPDM的复介电常数实部均逐渐增大,呈现相同的变化规律。在90℃时,复介电常数实部随频率变化出现不同的变化趋势。当频率低于10 Hz时,复介电常数实部随挤压应力的增大逐渐减小;频率高于10 Hz后,复介电常数实部随挤压应力的增大略微增大。复介电常数实部的变化与绝缘内部极化相关。
复介电常数虚部与介质损耗因数相关。EPDM损耗有极化损耗和电导损耗。不同温度下EPDM的复介常数虚部如图3所示,由图3可以看出,在30℃和90℃时,较低频段下,随挤压应力的增大复介电常数虚部逐渐减小。然而,在相同挤压应力下,90℃时的复介电常数虚部明显高于30℃时的值。在60℃时,复介电常数虚部随挤压应力的增大略微增大。较低频段下EPDM损耗的变化由极化损耗和电导损耗共同作用引起的。
图4为EPDM经受挤压应力为100 kPa和600 kPa时,不同温度下的介电谱。从图4(a)可以看出,当挤压应力为100 kPa时,随温度升高EPDM的复介电常数实部逐渐增大,且频率越低增大速度越快。然而,由图4(c)可以看出,当挤压应力增大到600 kPa后,复介电常数实部随温度升高出现减小趋势,即不同挤压应力下,存在频率阈值(约为10-1 Hz)。当频率大于此阈值后,复介电常数实部将随温度升高,呈下降趋势。与复介电常数实部变化趋势不同,在频率低于约10 Hz时,复介电常数虚部总是随着温度升高逐渐增大。此外,随着挤压应力的增大,复介电常数虚部随温度增大趋势变缓。
EPDM是在乙烯、丙烯的基础上加入非共轭二烯烃(如:非共轭二烯烃、双环戊二烯、乙叉降冰片烯等)所构成,其主要聚合物链是完全饱和的,属于非极性分子[13-14]。结合图3图4可知,复介电常数虚部没有出现明显的峰值,因此本研究选择经直流电导率修正的单弛豫Cole-Cole模型对EPDM的介电谱进行分析。
图5为根据式(3)利用温度为90℃和挤压应力为100 kPa时EPDM的复介电常数实部和虚部数据所得拟合结果。从图5可以看出,热应力作用下EPDM的介电谱符合Cole-Cole模型,可以使用该模型进行分析。由图5(a)可知,EPDM复介电常数实部在较低频率下的变化是由其低频弛豫过程引起。而低频弛豫过程一般由电极极化引起,可能受EPDM中的杂质或硫化不均匀区域与硫化均匀区域形成的界面等影响,存在一定程度的界面极化。结合图5(b)可以进一步得到,较低频率下,除前述弛豫过程引起的极化损耗以外,直流电导的升高导致电导损耗的增加也会引起EPDM复介电常数虚部的增大。
表1是温度为90℃时,不同挤压应力下EPDM介电谱的特征参数。由表1可以得出,挤压应力是影响弛豫过程的主要因素之一,即弛豫时间常数τ随着挤压应力的增大显著增大,直流电导σdc则缓慢减小。表2是挤压应力为100 kPa时,不同温度下EPDM介电谱的特征参数。由表2可知,温度对弛豫过程和直流电导σdc都有较大的影响。直流电导随着温度升高出现明显上升,而弛豫强度ε也呈现相同趋势。
一方面,场强不高时,绝缘中直流电导与温度密切相关。另一方面,绝缘材料受自身导电性差的影响,频率越低,且温度越高时,介电谱受电导率影响越大。受电导率的影响,介电谱中原有的极化现象被掩盖。因此,为解释低频下EPDM的介电谱的变化规律,有必要对电导率进行分析。图6为不同挤压应力和温度下EPDM直流电导率分量的变化规律。
图6可以看出,不同挤压应力下,温度升高后,直流电导率增大,电导损耗也在增大,而挤压应力对直流电导率的影响则不同。当温度较低时,随挤压应力的增大,直流电导率变化不大。随着温度升高,挤压应力对直流电导率的影响越来越明显。挤压力越大,直流电导率越小,即绝缘的导电性下降,电导损耗也在下降。
电导率σ的计算公式如式(4)所示。

式(5)中:υ′为晶格振动频率;d为陷阱间的跳跃间距;k为玻尔兹曼常数;T为温度;e为元电荷量;E为载流子所处位置的局域电场。
式(4)式(5)可知,当温度上升时,载流子动能增加,容易发生跃迁,迁移率μ增大,载流子数目也增多,浓度n0增大,电导率呈现上升趋势。此外,当温度较高时,挤压应力的增大使得绝缘内部间隙减小,跃迁的势垒增大,载流子更难以跃迁,μ降低,电导率降低。
图7为不同温度和挤压应力下EPDM的弛豫时间常数变化规律。弛豫时间常数的变化可以在某种程度上反映极化类型和极化强弱,即不受电导影响下复介电常数实部的变化。
图7可以看出,弛豫时间常数τ随着温度或挤压应力的变化规律不像直流电导率表现为单调性。这主要是温度和挤压应力共同作用的结果。温度较低时,挤压应力的影响占主导。挤压应力的增大使得绝缘内部间距减小,电荷移动困难,直流电导减弱,电极与试样界面积聚电荷增多,电极极化变强,τ减小。当温度升高到90℃时,分子间联系变弱,使挤压应力作用下,EPDM中的乙烯和丙烯侧基分子链更容易发生断裂,也更容易形成缺陷[15-16]。同时载流子运动加剧,直流电导率相比30℃时增大,即电荷流动性加大,电极与试样界面积聚的电荷减少,电极极化减弱。这也是为什么在90℃时随挤压应力增大,频率较低时复介电常数实部减小。90℃时电导损耗随着应力增大逐渐降低,两者相互作用造成了复介电常数虚部的变化。
(1)测量不同挤压应力和温度下EPDM的频域介电谱,采用含直流电导引修正的单弛豫Cole-Cole模型对介电频谱进行拟合,表明频率范围在10-2~104 Hz修正的单弛豫Cole-Cole模型研究EPDM的频域介电谱的有效性。
(2)用经直流电导率修正的单弛豫Cole-Cole模型分析发现,EPDM的介电谱主要受弛豫过程和直流电导率两方面的影响。弛豫过程主要受电极极化影响,极化强度和直流电导率共同决定了复介电常数虚部即损耗的变化趋势。
(3)当温度较高时,直流电导率对挤压应力较敏感,且两者呈反比的关系。当温度不高于60℃时,弛豫时间常数随挤压应力增大明显减小。温度为90℃时,电极极化和直流电导率的共同作用使弛豫时间常数随挤压应力增大逐渐增大。
