Under different environmental relative humidity (RH), the corona resistance of polyimide film presents significant differences. In order to understand the effects of RH on the surface corona characteristics and ageing process of film, we monitored the corona discharge process, electrical properties, and surface morphology of the film under different RH, and obtained the effects of RH on the corona ageing of film. The results show that with the increase of RH, the changing trends of the discharge activity at positive and negative half cycle are opposite. When the RH is equal or less than 69%, both the discharge quantity and discharge frequency show rapid growth stage, stationary stage, and secondary development stage with corona time, and when the RH attains 84%, both of them increase linearly with time. The changing rate of moisture content (Δwt%) of the film increases significantly at the beginning of corona ageing and tends to be stable at the middle and later periods, and when the RH attains 84%, the Δwt% increases linearly with the ageing time. It is analyzed that the surface electrothermal damage of film caused by corona discharge is the main cause of the rapid decrease of surface resistivity (ρs). With the corona erosion, water penetrate into the film gradually, eventually leading to the sharp decrease of ρv till breakdown.

在不同的大气相对湿度(RH)下,聚酰亚胺薄膜的电晕耐受能力具有显著差异,为了掌握相对湿度对薄膜表面电晕特性及老化过程的影响,本文对不同RH下薄膜的电晕放电过程、电学变化及表面形貌进行跟踪监测,获得了RH对薄膜电晕老化的影响规律。结果表明:随着RH的升高,正、负半周放电活跃程度呈现相反的变化趋势;在RH≤69%时,放电量和放电频次随电晕时间表现为快速增长阶段、平稳阶段和二次发展阶段,当RH达到84%时,两者随时间呈线性增加趋势;薄膜含水量变化率(Δwt%)在电晕老化初期提高较为明显,而在中后期趋于平稳,当RH达到84%时,Δwt%随老化时间线性上升;分析表明,电晕放电对薄膜表面的电热损伤是表面电阻率(ρs)快速下降的主要原因,随着电晕侵蚀,水分缓慢渗入,最终导致体电阻率(ρv)的剧烈下降直至击穿。

在不同的大气相对湿度(RH)下,聚酰亚胺薄膜的电晕耐受能力具有显著差异,为了掌握相对湿度对薄膜表面电晕特性及老化过程的影响,本文对不同RH下薄膜的电晕放电过程、电学变化及表面形貌进行跟踪监测,获得了RH对薄膜电晕老化的影响规律。结果表明:随着RH的升高,正、负半周放电活跃程度呈现相反的变化趋势;在RH≤69%时,放电量和放电频次随电晕时间表现为快速增长阶段、平稳阶段和二次发展阶段,当RH达到84%时,两者随时间呈线性增加趋势;薄膜含水量变化率(Δwt%)在电晕老化初期提高较为明显,而在中后期趋于平稳,当RH达到84%时,Δwt%随老化时间线性上升;分析表明,电晕放电对薄膜表面的电热损伤是表面电阻率(ρs)快速下降的主要原因,随着电晕侵蚀,水分缓慢渗入,最终导致体电阻率(ρv)的剧烈下降直至击穿。

Under different environmental relative humidity (RH), the corona resistance of polyimide film presents significant differences. In order to understand the effects of RH on the surface corona characteristics and ageing process of film, we monitored the corona discharge process, electrical properties, and surface morphology of the film under different RH, and obtained the effects of RH on the corona ageing of film. The results show that with the increase of RH, the changing trends of the discharge activity at positive and negative half cycle are opposite. When the RH is equal or less than 69%, both the discharge quantity and discharge frequency show rapid growth stage, stationary stage, and secondary development stage with corona time, and when the RH attains 84%, both of them increase linearly with time. The changing rate of moisture content (Δwt%) of the film increases significantly at the beginning of corona ageing and tends to be stable at the middle and later periods, and when the RH attains 84%, the Δwt% increases linearly with the ageing time. It is analyzed that the surface electrothermal damage of film caused by corona discharge is the main cause of the rapid decrease of surface resistivity (ρs). With the corona erosion, water penetrate into the film gradually, eventually leading to the sharp decrease of ρv till breakdown.

聚酰亚胺具有优异的热稳定性、耐化学腐蚀性和力学性能,被广泛应用在强电强热等极端绝缘系统中,在电气、半导体、热工等领域发挥着重要作用,尤其是在电机设备中常被用作电机的槽绝缘及线缆绕包材料[1-2]。然而,聚酰亚胺中的酰亚胺环结构决定了聚酰亚胺分子不具备较好的耐水特性,导致在潮湿环境中运行的电机等设备的绝缘性能急剧下降[3]。此外,电机绝缘还可能长期暴露在局部高电场引起的电晕放电当中,造成电晕老化甚至绝缘失效[4]
在不同的大气湿度条件下,聚酰亚胺材料的耐电晕特性表现出明显差异,一方面是由于聚酰亚胺材料吸水状态下介电特性的改变,另一方面是聚酰亚胺材料气-固交界面处水分对电晕放电行为的影响;在水分、粒子轰击及热的长期作用下,聚酰亚胺材料的介电性能会发生阶段性劣化[5]。在聚酰亚胺薄膜耐电晕特性方面,雷清泉等[6]对杜邦公司的Kapton 100 HN薄膜和纳米Al2O3掺杂耐电晕100 CR薄膜进行了老化前后的电导电流测量,结果表明,在电晕老化后两种薄膜的电导会发生明显改变;汪佛池等[7]对上述电导改变机制进行了深入研究,并通过掺杂Al2O3引入浅陷阱,有效改善了薄膜的耐电晕能力。在环境湿度影响方面,杜伯学等[8-9]对聚酰亚胺薄膜和表面氟化薄膜的吸水特性、电压耐受特性及表面电荷特性进行了试验对比研究,获得了其在受潮条件下绝缘性能下降的基本规律,表明氟化处理对薄膜表面耐水性有提升作用。在聚酰亚胺薄膜耐电晕机制方面,高波等[3]研究指出纳米粒子-聚合物界面势能和热导率的提高是Kapton 100CR薄膜耐受热击穿和局部放电损伤的关键因素;ZHUANG T X等[10-11]通过试验获得了聚酰亚胺薄膜在表面电晕放电下的低频电荷输运机制,揭示了局部放电造成的寄生电荷对材料附加老化的影响。目前,国内外基本掌握了聚酰亚胺薄膜在电晕老化前后的电学特性变化及纳米掺杂对材料耐电晕特性的影响机制,但在大气湿度对聚酰亚胺薄膜电晕放电特性的影响以及绝缘劣化过程方面还缺乏系统的研究,导致较高大气湿度条件下的绝缘设计和材料改性缺乏理论依据。
本文以聚酰亚胺薄膜(Kapton 100 HN)作为研究对象,搭建了具备耐压和局放测试功能的大气环境模拟试验腔体,采用饱和湿度溶液法和加热片来控制密闭腔体内大气温湿度,对不同大气相对湿度(RH)下聚酰亚胺薄膜电晕放电的脉冲电流、放电轮廓及表面形貌进行跟踪监测,并对不同电晕老化阶段薄膜材料的含水量、表面电阻率及体积电阻率进行测量,最终获得不同RH条件下聚酰亚胺薄膜的阶段性电晕老化特征和绝缘劣化规律。
为了能够稳定控制样品的大气温湿度环境,试验中采用一个温湿度模拟高压试验腔体,如图1所示。腔体内部通过聚四氟乙烯套管连接IEC标准电晕试验电极[12](高压电极半径为10 mm,边缘半径为1 mm;接地电极半径为80 mm,边缘半径为1 mm);腔体内部设置加热垫片,用于控制罐内温度;罐体设置光学监测窗,用于进行光学拍摄;罐体内部接地引线串联局放测量阻抗,用于放电脉冲测量;此外罐内还设置温湿度传感器,用于实时监测罐内气体状态。罐体观察窗外设置低噪声CCD相机,用于拍摄电晕放电光学轮廓。高压试验测试回路由交流高压源、耦合电容器、测量阻抗、高压探头、局放测试仪及高速数字示波器构成。
试验采用饱和湿度溶液法来控制罐体内的湿度值,即采用不同溶质的饱和盐溶液静置于罐体内部,等待罐内气体湿度稳定于某一数值后开始试验。表1为试验中所采用的饱和盐溶液及最终稳定后的气体RH值(25℃±1℃)。
对电晕老化不同阶段的Kapton 100 HN薄膜含水量进行测定,测量采用基于卡尔费休库伦法的全物质微量水分检测系统(CVS-300DK型,10~1 000 μg范围内误差小于3‰)和水分气化装置(CVS-230型)。同时对经历电晕老化后的Kapton 100 HN薄膜进行表面电阻率和体电阻率测量,测量采用Keithley 6517B型高阻测试仪及8009型电阻率测试电极。
试验对象为25 μm厚的杜邦公司Kapton 100 HN薄膜,将其放置于标准电晕电极的高压电极与接地电极之间。试验中通过饱和盐溶液将RH值控制在11%~85%;通过反馈式温度控制单元和加热垫片维持罐内温度为(25±1)℃。每种湿度条件下的样品数量为3个,老化试验前将样品静置于真空烘箱中进行干燥处理(35℃/24 h)。在施加电压前,将被测薄膜样品静置于试验腔体中,并在达到RH设定值后等待3 h,以确保薄膜中水分达到平衡。
试验首先确定薄膜的局部放电起始电压(PDIV)约为1.3 kV,击穿电压约为9.8 kV。当RH值为11%、施加电压为3.8 kV左右时,放电开始1 min内的平均放电量约为3.6 nC,耐电晕平均时长为 5.6 h。试验选择3.8 kV作为所有湿度条件下的施加电压水平,在此过程中对局部放电进行跟踪监测。同时,为了对比不同放电老化阶段材料的特性变化,每试验1.0 h时对样品进行取样分析,并在测试结束后,根据先前电晕中心痕迹,将棒电极恢复至与先前电晕痕迹中心相重合,并保持相同的角度位置,继续进行电晕老化。
图2为Kapton薄膜在RH分别为11%、33%、69%、84%下电晕放电初始阶段(<1 min)的PRPD图谱。从图2可以看出,在3.8 kV施加电压下(≈3PDIV),Kapton薄膜表面电晕放电分布在较宽的相位区间内,并主要分布在电压上升沿至峰值附近,表现出一定的极性效应。在RH较低时,正极性放电幅值分布在相对较低的范围内,RH由11%上升至69%时,其放电幅值略有升高,如图2(a)(c)所示。当RH达到84%时,正极性放电幅值明显升高,并超过负极性放电幅值,如图2(d)所示。在RH升高过程中,负极性放电幅值分布呈现一定的下降趋势,但其放电时延(放电频次)增加。由此可知,RH的变化能够显著影响表面放电的极性效应,由此推测在湿度趋于饱和时,薄膜表面放电的驱动机制将发生转移。
通过进一步统计分析可知,随着RH逐渐升高,Kapton薄膜表面电晕放电的平均放电幅值和放电频次也会随之改变,采用等相位窗进行平均放电量统计,可得到图3中累积平均放电量在电压相位上的分布情况。由图3可知,随着RH升高,正半周的平均放电量逐渐升高,并在RH为84%时剧烈升高,而负半周的平均放电量则逐渐降低,在RH由11%提高至33%时,降低最为明显。
由上节可知,在不同的湿度条件下,放电特性会存在差异,而极性差异的存在影响长期电晕老化过程,并反映在放电统计特性上。因此,对不同老化时间下的放电统计特性进行分析。图4分别为不同湿度条件下Kapton薄膜电晕放电平均放电量Qav和平均脉冲频次N/cyc.随老化时间的演化过程。由于电晕放电过程中正、负极性放电存在极性差异,因此本文分别对正、负半周的放电脉冲幅值和频次进行统计。
图4(a)(b)可知,随着RH升高,平均放电量Qav基本呈现增加趋势,在正半周这种趋势更为明显;同时,在电晕老化初期,不同湿度下的放电量均会经历快速增长阶段,在电晕老化中期,放电量逐渐趋于平稳并维持较长的时间,而在电晕老化后期,放电量又出现较为明显的上升过程。随着RH的升高,正半周电晕放电会更快地进入平稳期,而负半周放电则更快地进入第二次的发展期,尤其是对于RH在69%以上时,几乎不存在平稳期。由图4(c)(d)可知,正、负半周的平均放电频次N/cyc.随RH的变化规律并不显著,但随电晕老化时间的变化规律相对清晰。当RH较低时,N/cyc.与Qav相同,也会经历发展期、平稳期和再次发展期,但当RH在69%以上时,N/cyc.随时间呈线性增加趋势。
在电晕老化过程中,薄膜表面电晕放电特性与薄膜表面状态、电学参数之间的相互影响是导致上述阶段性放电特征的主要原因,因此本文对电晕老化过程中的Kapton薄膜含水量、电阻率进行测量,从而量化分析不同RH下电晕老化对材料性能衰退的影响。
由于电晕老化会导致薄膜存在一定的质量损失,采用质量百分比表征水分含量误差较大,本文采用卡尔费休库伦法对薄膜绝对含水质量进行测量,但因为样品之间质量存在差异,因此采用含水量相对变化率(Δwt%)进行分析,并由式(1)进行计算。此外,在水分测定前,采用非织造无尘纸对试品表面进行按压,尽量降低表面水分的影响。

式(1)中:wtinitial为电晕老化前达到稳定后的含水质量,wtageing为电晕老化后的含水质量。
图5为4种RH条件下Kapton薄膜在不同老化阶段的含水量相对变化率。由图5可知,不同RH下,薄膜Δwt%总体随老化时间的增加而升高,在RH较大时Δwt%也增大;在电晕老化初期,Δwt%变化较为明显,而在电晕老化中后期,Δwt%变化趋于平稳直至绝缘击穿。相比较低RH下的结果,RH为84%时Δwt%随老化时间的增加而剧烈上升,在击穿前1 h左右接近30%。
造成薄膜含水量升高的主要原因是高能粒子不断轰击材料表面,改变了材料的疏水状态,使得更多水分进入材料内部,并重新达到气体和固体中水分的平衡。对比上述放电统计特性结果可知,在电晕老化过程中,不同RH下薄膜含水量的变化与放电活跃程度具有明显的关联规律,因此当RH较大时,电晕造成的材料表面损伤会引起更严重的吸水现象,从而产生进一步的水解和固体材料质量损失,进而使得电晕放电进一步发展,形成恶性发展循环。
采用Keithley 6517B型高阻测试仪及8009电极盒对不同电晕老化阶段薄膜的表面电阻率(ρs)和体积电阻率(ρv)进行测量,结果如图6所示。从图6可以看出,随着电晕老化时间的增加,表面电阻率、体电阻率呈逐渐下降趋势,并且RH越大,电阻率下降速度越快,但表面电阻率和体积电阻率的变化趋势具有显著差异:在电晕老化初期,ρs的变化较为剧烈,而ρv的变化相对平缓;在电晕老化中期,ρs的变化趋于平缓,但ρv的变化开始加速;在电晕老化后期(临近击穿),ρsρv均呈现快速下降趋势,ρv更为明显。
上述ρsρv的阶段性变化规律差异表明:电晕放电对薄膜表面的电热损伤是ρs快速下降的主要原因,随着薄膜表面被电晕侵蚀,更多的水分相对缓慢地进入薄膜内部,在累积一定时间后使得ρv剧烈下降,最终导致热击穿。
为了进一步分析3.1和3.2节中所得结论,对不同相对湿度下电晕放电的图像和老化后的表面形貌进行分析,结果如图7所示。
图7(a)可知,在较低相对湿度下,电晕放电通道细而密集,相对较为均匀;随着相对湿度的升高,其中一部分电晕放电通道转变为相对明亮且发展路径更长的高能放电;当相对湿度接近饱和时(RH为84%),高能量的放电通道成为主导,这与2.2节中的放电谱图检测结果相一致。由图7(b)可知,不同相对湿度下的电晕老化表面形貌也具有明显差异,随着相对湿度的升高,薄膜表面容易形成尺度更大的放电烧蚀痕迹,这表明高能粒子、热累积和材料水解的综合作用造成的质量损失是薄膜最终击穿的原因。
(1)相对湿度会显著影响Kapton薄膜表面电晕放电的极性差异,随着RH升高,正半周的平均放电量逐渐升高,并在RH为84%时剧烈升高,而负半周的平均放电量则逐渐降低,在RH由11%提高至33%时,降低最为明显。在RH≤69%时,放电量和放电频次随时间均会经历快速增长阶段、平稳阶段和二次发展阶段,但当RH在69%以上时,两者随时间呈线性增加趋势。
(2)不同RH下,薄膜Δwt%总体随老化时间的增加而升高;在电晕老化初期,Δwt%变化较为明显,而在电晕老化中后期,Δwt%变化趋于平稳。当RH达到84%时,Δwt%随老化时间的增加而剧烈上升;电阻率随电晕老化时间的变化表明,电晕老化对薄膜表面的电热损伤是ρs快速下降的主要原因,随着薄膜表面被电晕侵蚀,水分相对缓慢地进入薄膜内部,在累积一定时间后使ρv剧烈下降,最终导致热击穿。
(3)在RH较低时,电晕放电通道细而密集;在RH较高时,电晕放电通道转变为相对明亮且发展路径更长的高能放电;当RH接近饱和时(RH为84%),高能量的放电通道成为主导。随着RH的升高,薄膜表面形成尺度更大的放电烧蚀痕迹。
