在电缆系统的实际运行中,电缆附件是绝缘的薄弱环节和容易发生故障的部位。根据国家电网公司对电缆运行故障的统计,在忽略外力破坏的情况下,70%的电缆故障是由于电缆附件绝缘的破坏引起的[1]。因此,提高电缆附件的绝缘性能有着重要的意义。
硅橡胶因其绝缘性能优异、机械强度优良的特点,常用作电缆附件的主绝缘材料,在电缆附件中得到了广泛的应用[2]。对国内电缆附件、本体故障的统计表明,电缆接头处的故障率占31%,接头故障中97%源自于界面放电[3]。电缆接头处的界面特性与接头结构的优化设计[4]、电缆附件装配中的抱紧力[5]息息相关,也与安装工艺、电缆运行环境关系密切[6]。在中低压电缆实际安装过程中,会在电缆接头内侧和电缆绝缘接触面涂覆一层硅脂,用以增加界面的密封度与安装过程的润滑性[7]。同时可以增强电缆与电缆接头在界面处的绝缘性能[8]。但随着电缆的长期运行,硅脂会扩散到硅橡胶中,发生溶胀现象,导致硅橡胶的绝缘性能下降[9]。电缆附件用硅脂包括普通硅脂与氟化硅脂,目前针对电缆附件用硅脂的研究现状分析很少,也少见关于电缆附件用硅脂筛选方法的报道,但硅脂在电缆附件中的应用十分广泛,且电缆附件用硅脂对于电缆的性能会产生重要的影响,很大程度上影响着长期运行下电缆的绝缘性能,因此探究电缆附件用硅脂的特性及其研究现状有着重要的意义。
本文先从硅脂材料本身特性入手,介绍硅脂的来源与分类,分析硅脂可以用于电缆附件的原因;并分别探讨普通硅脂与氟化硅脂作为电缆附件用硅脂的优缺点。通过目前的研究现状提出一种电缆附件用硅脂的筛选方法,并对未来高性能电缆附件用硅脂的发展方向进行展望。
硅脂是一种二甲基硅氧烷聚合物(Me2SiO)X[10],其主要成分是硅油、增稠剂及改性剂,硅脂使用的硅油、增稠剂以及性能改性剂来源的不同以及各种成分使用比例的不同,造成了硅脂的不同性能[11]
硅脂常用的基油包括二甲基硅油、甲基苯基硅油、长链烷基改性硅油、氟烃基改性硅油以及氨基改性硅油。二甲基硅油具有润滑性、化学稳定性以及电绝缘性[12],主要作为轻润滑及密封用硅脂。甲基苯基硅油透明性良好且耐高低温[13],常用于制作电气设备润滑油与阻尼减震材料[14]。长链烷基改性硅油具有良好的耐高低温性能,可以改善硅油的极压润滑性[15]。氟烃基改性硅油常用于改善一般硅油的润滑效果。氨基改性硅油的吸附性好,常用于陶瓷界面的润滑以及密封[16]
硅脂常用的增稠剂可分为金属皂类和非金属皂类。金属皂类主要包括锂皂与铝皂,锂皂具有良好的耐水性和较高的熔点,是配置硅脂最常用的增稠剂[17]。在非金属皂类增稠剂中,白炭黑最为常用,也常用于电绝缘的场合;氧化铝、氧化锌等金属氧化物热导率较高,主要用于配置导热硅脂[18]
硅脂常用的性能改进剂主要用于提升抗氧化性、防锈性、极压润滑性以及固体润滑性。抗氧剂如芳香族胺类化合物、吩噻嗪等可以改善硅脂在高温下的抗氧化性;极压润滑剂如脂肪酸及其衍生物、磷酸酯等可以改善硅脂在高负载下的边界润滑性;苯并三唑可以用作硅脂的防锈剂[19]
根据使用增稠剂的不同,有两种最为常用的硅脂,锂皂基硅脂及白炭黑硅脂。锂皂基硅脂是由锂皂作为增稠剂,添加油性改进剂配置成的稳定硅油体系,其滴点显著高于矿物油润滑脂,可以达到220~270℃,油离度与热失重小且氧化稳定性高[20]。同时锂皂基硅脂具有良好的密封性与高温下的润滑性。
白炭黑硅脂是使用白炭黑作为增稠剂的产品,其耐热性、介电性、抗氧化性均十分优良,常用于电绝缘的场合。增稠剂主要使用比表面积为130~380 m2/g的气相法白炭黑,加入量一般占硅脂质量的10%~20%[21]
根据硅脂用途的不同,可以将硅脂分为塑料用硅脂、陶瓷润滑用硅脂、基材表面用硅脂、绝热硅脂、导热硅脂[22]
硅脂在电缆附件中有着很广泛的应用。为增加附件界面的密封度与安装过程中的润滑性,在附件安装过程中,会在电缆附件内侧和电缆本体绝缘接触面涂覆一层硅脂,能够有效提高界面的电气强度[23],但是在电缆附件的长期运行过程中,硅脂对附件绝缘材料的溶胀作用反而会加速橡胶材料的老化,从而降低界面的绝缘强度[24]。考虑到硅脂在电缆附件中的实际应用,电缆附件用硅脂应当有以下特点及主要功能:
(1)高导热性与耐热性。电缆在实际运行过程中会有比较严重的发热情况,一般情况下电缆的工作温度应当低于70℃,但在实际运行过程中,运行温度可能达到90℃。作为电缆附件涂覆的材料,硅脂应当具有优良的耐热性与导热性,将热量快速消散,防止电缆附件温度过高导致故障。
(2)高润滑性。为增加附件在安装过程中的润滑性和界面的密封度,在安装过程中,电缆附件内侧和电缆绝缘接触面均涂覆一层硅脂。作为两种材料中间使用的涂覆材料,硅脂与电缆绝缘和电缆附件内侧均应具有较高的润滑性,具有良好的稳定性。
(3)高电气强度。电缆附件中的局部放电可能导致接头的击穿故障。作为主要的涂覆材料,电缆附件用硅脂应当具有高电气强度,防止击穿的发生。
(4)低溶胀性。硅脂对附件绝缘材料的溶胀作用会加速橡胶材料的老化,降低界面绝缘强度。因此,在选择附件用硅脂时,应当选择与绝缘材料溶胀较低的硅脂材料。
目前电缆附件使用的硅脂主要包括普通硅脂与氟化硅脂。下面对这两种硅脂的特性分别进行探究。
目前电缆附件常用的硅脂为普通硅脂,一般为非极性。普通硅脂的基油主要包括二甲基硅油、甲基苯基硅油、长链烷基改性硅油。二甲基硅油一般选取黏度为100~10 000 mPa·s的品种,此时油离度不算高,黏附性也较好。甲基苯基硅油中,苯基摩尔分数的不同会使硅脂有不同的使用温度范围、黏度、密度与折射率,随着苯基摩尔分数的增加,这4项指标均会增加[25]。长链烷基改性硅油的极压润滑性很好。电缆附件中的非极性普通硅脂可以在很高的温度范围内使用,改善附件的润滑性与界面密封度,但在使用过程中,普通硅脂的溶胀作用较为明显,而溶胀会加速橡胶材料的老化,对电缆附件的长期使用造成不利的影响。
为了改善普通硅脂溶胀对实际生产产生的负作用,工业界推出了许多耐溶胀的硅脂,比较典型的是氟化硅脂。氟化硅脂将硅脂侧基的CH3改变为氟原子,进而增强硅脂的惰性、稳定性与强极性,通过改变普通硅脂的溶度参数降低硅脂对硅橡胶材料的溶胀效应,一定程度上提高了硅橡胶的耐油、耐溶剂性能[26]。氟化硅脂比较常用的基油为氟烃基改性硅油,这种硅油具有较好的耐油性、耐溶剂性、耐化学试剂性、润滑性、憎水性、憎油性。研究表明,氟化硅脂在电缆附件中使用时溶胀作用较低[27],但柳松等[28]的研究表明,氟化硅脂虽能有效降低硅脂对橡胶绝缘的溶胀性能,但氟化硅脂的强电负性(极性强的氟碳键)易导致界面电荷积聚量增多、电缆绝缘侧场强倍增、电荷衰减率变慢,对电缆附件尤其是直流电缆附件界面的长期运行可靠性提出怀疑。
考虑到电缆实际运行过程中的情况,从电缆附件界面涂覆硅脂的溶胀、电热老化、力学特性以及电学特性4个方面进行总结。
溶胀是溶剂分子扩散进入高分子内部,使其体积膨胀的现象。溶剂分子与高分子分子量相差悬殊,分子运动速度相差很大,溶剂分子扩散速度较快,而高分子向溶剂中的扩散速度较慢。因此,高分子溶解时首先是溶剂分子渗透进入高分子材料内部,使其体积增大。电缆附件涂覆的硅脂作为溶剂分子,可以较快地渗入聚合物内部,产生溶胀的现象。王华楠等[29]选取了两种极性相近但分子基团差异较大的普通硅脂,并对涂覆这两种硅脂的硅橡胶进行老化处理,发现硅脂溶胀协同电晕老化破坏了硅脂与硅橡胶的表面形态与交联结构;在电晕老化的作用下,硅橡胶表面发生氧化生成极性基团,使得硅橡胶表面极性增大,硅脂的溶胀速度加快,硅橡胶的分子链断裂更加严重;严智明等[30]制备了不同硅脂涂覆时间的硅橡胶试样,通过研究硅脂对硅橡胶起树电压和电树枝形貌等特征参量的影响规律,发现在硅脂分子通过溶胀作用进入硅橡胶内部后,电树枝形状逐渐由枝状转变为丛状,引起电树枝的起树电压下降;赵莉华等[31]研究了硅油/硅脂在硅橡胶内分子动力学扩散过程的数学物理模型,将通过浸渍-增重法得到的实验结果与通过Langmuir扩散模型建立的硅脂在硅橡胶中的扩散规律曲线进行对比,结果如图1所示,其中硅橡胶试样厚度为2 mm。根据图1得出,硅油/硅脂在硅橡胶内扩散遵循Langmuir扩散规律,随着硅油/硅脂的黏度增大,硅橡胶的单位体积饱和吸收硅油量越小,吸收速率越慢,硅橡胶的单位体积饱和吸收硅油/硅脂量越少。
通过以上对硅脂溶胀的研究可以发现,硅脂对硅橡胶的溶胀会改变硅橡胶的交联结构,使得电树枝的起树电压降低,从而劣化硅橡胶的绝缘性能,因此要尽可能减缓硅脂溶胀的过程。硅脂溶胀的速度与黏度有关,因此控制硅脂的黏度可以作为减缓硅脂溶胀的一种方式。硅脂黏度的控制可以纳入实体电缆附件用硅脂选型的考量指标。
在电缆的实际运行过程中,电路合闸瞬间,电缆附件的界面电场突然增加,可能会引起故障,这与电缆附件界面处的性能劣化有着直接的关系。电缆附件的性能劣化主要是界面处材料的老化,主要的老化形式有热老化、电晕老化以及臭氧老化。
电缆附件界面的热老化是由于运行中界面处长期受热造成电缆附件性能不可逆的劣化。陈庆国等[32]研究了热老化对硅橡胶材料介电性能以及力学特性的影响,发现热老化后,硅橡胶的体积电阻率增加,相对介电常数下降,电气强度随老化进程呈现先上升后下降的趋势,认为硅橡胶在热老化前期主要发生了交联反应,导致电子行程缩短,使体积电阻率与电气强度增加,在热老化后期硅橡胶发生了降解反应,电气强度开始下降。DANG C[33]研究发现,在对硅橡胶进行热老化试验时,随着老化时间的延长,界面压力大幅降低,测试温度为85℃时的残余压力根据样品类型的不同在12%~60%变化,其中磨砂的XLPE界面在老化过程中更容易发生故障,这是由于磨砂的XLPE界面更容易剥离绝缘屏蔽层,因此应避免在电缆上打磨。
电缆附件界面处的电晕老化与臭氧老化是由于在实际运行过程中,电缆附件界面附近产生局部放电造成材料性能的劣化。局部放电产生电晕的过程中会产生臭氧,臭氧的化学活性很高,容易使橡胶分子链断裂,造成性能的劣化。针对电缆附件中存在的各种老化形式,李莹等[34]研究了不同老化处理对涂覆硅脂后XLPE/SIR界面击穿特性的影响,发现短时间热老化作用对界面的交流击穿特性影响较小,臭氧老化、电晕老化与臭氧协同老化都可以降低界面的起始放电电压与交流击穿电压,涂覆硅脂后界面的绝缘强度更高。在实验过程中电晕放电会产生臭氧,因此利用电晕放电代替臭氧产生装置,通过电晕放电条件下试样是否放在电极下分别进行电晕臭氧协同老化与臭氧老化试验。表1为不同老化形式下涂覆硅脂后硅橡胶凝胶含量的变化[34],发现短时间的热老化并没有明显改变硅橡胶的凝胶含量,而臭氧老化、电晕与臭氧协同老化作用后,硅橡胶的凝胶含量显著降低。凝胶含量的降低表明硅橡胶的交联程度降低,此时硅橡胶表层的不饱和键增多,表面陷阱密度增加,促进了表面电荷跳跃输运与水分吸附,降低了绝缘性能,因此可以认为热老化对于硅橡胶的性能劣化程度更低。
综上所述,电热老化造成了电缆附件界面特性的劣化,且电晕臭氧协同老化、臭氧老化造成的性能劣化影响大于热老化。电热老化造成了硅橡胶的降解与硅橡胶主链上化学基团的裂解,造成硅脂的龟裂与不规则分布,使得界面处性能劣化。电晕臭氧协同老化造成界面性能劣化最严重,可以采用该方式作为老化试验的主要方法。
在电缆附件长期运行的过程中,硅脂的溶胀作用与硅橡胶本身性能的劣化会导致电缆附件力学性能的劣化。实际运行中电缆附件处于一种扩张的状态,在扩张状态下硅橡胶会产生蠕变与应力松弛[35],进而导致电缆附件力学特性发生变化。赵莉华等[36]探究了多个因素下硅橡胶吸收硅脂特性以及对力学特性的影响,发现硅橡胶在吸收硅脂后,其断裂伸长率、拉伸强度与弹性模量明显降低,且硅橡胶对硅脂的吸收率越大,其拉伸强度、断裂伸长率与弹性模量下降越明显,同时硅橡胶的蠕变程度与应力松弛加剧,随实验时间呈现前期急剧变化、后期逐渐平稳的特点。王霞等[37]研究了老化后涂覆硅脂的硅橡胶断裂伸长率、拉伸强度与弹性模量的变化,发现这些力学特性参数均降低,并发现涂覆氟化硅脂的硅橡胶力学特性劣化程度要低于涂覆普通硅脂的硅橡胶。ZHU B等[38]在研究硅脂溶胀后硅橡胶的力学性能时还考虑了硬度的因素,发现在溶胀过程中,硅橡胶的硬度也显著降低。图2为不同硅脂涂覆条件下硅橡胶的应力应变曲线[37],可以看出涂覆硅脂的硅橡胶力学性能优于未涂覆硅脂的硅橡胶。
根据目前的研究结果,硬度、断裂伸长率、拉伸强度与弹性模量是表征硅脂溶胀后硅橡胶性能的主要力学性能参数。在涂覆硅脂的选择过程中,这4种力学性能参数应当作为表征硅橡胶力学性能的主要依据,进而判别出涂覆硅脂的优劣。硅橡胶在涂覆硅脂后的力学性能越优良,在实际的电缆使用过程中其性能越稳定。
涂覆硅脂的硅橡胶在老化作用下,绝缘表面会逐渐干燥且平整程度下降,从而导致电学特性的劣化。柳松等[39]研究了涂覆不同硅脂对XLPE/硅橡胶界面击穿电压的影响,发现施加交流电压或冲击电压时,涂覆硅脂的试样击穿电压随着界面压力的增加而升高。图3为不同电压条件下击穿电压与界面压力的关系,可以看出在交流电压下涂覆普通硅脂与氟化硅脂的试样击穿电压相差不大,冲击电压下涂覆普通硅脂比起氟化硅脂具有更高的击穿电压。
陈诗佳等[40]将涂覆硅脂的XLPE/硅橡胶干燥界面与未涂覆硅脂的界面电学参数进行了对比,发现涂覆之后的起始放电电压与击穿电压分别提高了93%与38.5%,可见涂覆硅脂对于硅橡胶的电学性能有所提升。王华楠等[29]研究了XLPE/硅橡胶界面涂覆不同硅脂后的电荷特性,在30 kV/mm直流电场作用下室温中加压20 min、去压10 min后,比较未涂覆、涂覆普通硅脂、涂覆氟化硅脂条件下的空间电荷分布特性发现,涂覆硅脂后,随加压时间的延长,试样界面的正电荷逐渐向硅橡胶体内迁移,涂覆氟化硅脂的试样界面电荷量最多且随时间衰减最慢。由此认为氟化硅脂的强电负性会导致SR/XLPE夹层介质界面积聚较多正电荷,且撤压短路后电荷衰减较慢。S SPELZHAUSEN等[41]研究了电场强度与空间电荷和硅橡胶/硅脂界面处的电荷衰减特性之间的关系,发现界面电荷行为与场强存在显著相关性,在较低的场强下,界面处仅检测到负电荷,随着场强的增加,界面负电荷减少。
从硅脂涂覆对电学性能的影响可以看出,涂覆硅脂有助于提升电缆附件的击穿电压,在实际的电缆运行中可以有效地提升电缆附件处的耐压水平,但也会造成界面电荷积聚的情况更加严重,且涂覆氟化硅脂在击穿电压等方面带来的提升要优于涂覆普通硅脂。在硅脂选型时,要综合考虑耐压水平与界面电荷积聚的情况,合理选择不同种类的硅脂以适应电缆附件所需的电学性能要求。
考虑到电缆附件涂覆硅脂在实际运行中存在的各种问题以及对电缆附件界面涂覆硅脂筛选试验的难度,王华楠等[42]提出鉴别硅脂性能优劣的筛选方法:①确定老化方式。在常见的电晕老化、臭氧老化、热老化中,相同老化时间下,电晕臭氧协同老化对XLPE/SIR界面带来的性能影响最大,因此选取电晕臭氧协同老化作为老化方式,进而进行硅脂的性能测试。②进行性能测试。试验主要考虑的性能包括涂覆硅脂后的界面形态、硅脂硅橡胶的分子基团和交联结构、复合界面击穿强度和橡胶本体的力学性能。考虑到XLPE/SIR界面击穿电压和力学性能试验要消耗过多的材料试片,因此首先进行表面显微观察与红外光谱测试,接下来进行凝胶含量测试、界面电气强度与力学性能测试。③硅脂选择。进行上述测试之后,根据得到的性能参数,选出性能稳定,具有高电气强度、低溶胀性的硅脂。
通过对电缆附件涂覆硅脂的研究现状分析,未来的高性能硅脂应当在有效提升电缆附件电学性能与力学性能的基础上,着重减缓溶胀作用对电缆性能的劣化。目前使用的硅脂多为普通硅脂,相较而言,氟化硅脂的极性大,对于电缆附件绝缘性能的提升更加显著,因此氟化硅脂用于电缆附件涂覆应当作为高性能硅脂的一个重要发展方向。
目前针对硅脂涂覆对电缆附件影响的研究主要还是侧重于对硅橡胶试样的影响,缺乏实体电缆层面上的试验,对于硅脂溶胀产生的影响也缺乏从微观层面上表征溶胀程度的研究,这应作为未来电缆附件用硅脂的研究方向。
硅脂广泛应用于工业生产与消费市场中,电缆附件应用的硅脂应当具有高电气强度、低溶胀性的特点。涂覆硅脂可以提高电缆附件处的绝缘性能,但硅脂的溶胀会造成界面电荷积聚的加剧,电缆附件中硅橡胶对硅脂的吸附也将造成电缆附件硬度、断裂伸长率、拉伸强度与弹性模量的降低。根据研究现状,提出的硅脂筛选方法为首先对涂覆硅脂的硅橡胶试样进行加速电晕老化试验,然后针对橡胶试样进行表面形态、红外光谱测试、界面电气强度与力学性能等测试,再根据试验结果合理筛选性能优良的硅脂。未来的高性能硅脂应当在有效提升电缆附件电学性能与力学性能的基础上,着重减缓溶胀作用对电缆性能的劣化。
