Taking urea and hexagonal boron nitride as raw materials, we prepared an amino modified boron nitride nanosheets (BNNS) by ball milling method, and then prepared a BNNS/epoxy composite by mixing the BNNS before and after modification with epoxy resin. The effect of amino modified BNNS on the surface insulating properties of epoxy resin was studied. The results show that the amino group is grafted on the surface of BNNS successfully by ball milling method, which improves the dispersion of fillers in epoxy composites. When the mass fraction of the modified BNNS is 0.5%, the flashover voltage of the BNNS/epoxy composite increases by 26.9% compared with the pure epoxy resin. In addition, the amino modification reduces the trap energy level on material surface and accelerates the space charge dissipation rate. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor of the composites filled with amino modified BNNS increase slightly. The flashover voltage of the composites can be improved by balancing the effects of space charge dissipation and polarization relaxation.

以尿素和六方氮化硼为原料通过球磨法制备了氨基化改性氮化硼纳米片(BNNS),并将改性前后的BNNS与环氧树脂混合制备BNNS/环氧复合材料,研究氨基化改性BNNS对环氧表面绝缘特性的影响。结果表明:通过球磨法成功将氨基接枝在氮化硼纳米片表面,改善了填料在环氧树脂复合材料中的分散性;相较于纯环氧材料,当改性BNNS的质量分数为0.5%时,BNNS/环氧复合材料的闪络电压提高了26.9%;此外,氨基化改性降低了材料表面的陷阱能级,加速了空间电荷消散速率;填充氨基化改性BNNS后复合材料的介电常数与介质损耗因数均有小幅提升,平衡空间电荷消散与极化弛豫两种效应对复合材料闪络电压的提升有积极作用。

以尿素和六方氮化硼为原料通过球磨法制备了氨基化改性氮化硼纳米片(BNNS),并将改性前后的BNNS与环氧树脂混合制备BNNS/环氧复合材料,研究氨基化改性BNNS对环氧表面绝缘特性的影响。结果表明:通过球磨法成功将氨基接枝在氮化硼纳米片表面,改善了填料在环氧树脂复合材料中的分散性;相较于纯环氧材料,当改性BNNS的质量分数为0.5%时,BNNS/环氧复合材料的闪络电压提高了26.9%;此外,氨基化改性降低了材料表面的陷阱能级,加速了空间电荷消散速率;填充氨基化改性BNNS后复合材料的介电常数与介质损耗因数均有小幅提升,平衡空间电荷消散与极化弛豫两种效应对复合材料闪络电压的提升有积极作用。

Taking urea and hexagonal boron nitride as raw materials, we prepared an amino modified boron nitride nanosheets (BNNS) by ball milling method, and then prepared a BNNS/epoxy composite by mixing the BNNS before and after modification with epoxy resin. The effect of amino modified BNNS on the surface insulating properties of epoxy resin was studied. The results show that the amino group is grafted on the surface of BNNS successfully by ball milling method, which improves the dispersion of fillers in epoxy composites. When the mass fraction of the modified BNNS is 0.5%, the flashover voltage of the BNNS/epoxy composite increases by 26.9% compared with the pure epoxy resin. In addition, the amino modification reduces the trap energy level on material surface and accelerates the space charge dissipation rate. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss factor of the composites filled with amino modified BNNS increase slightly. The flashover voltage of the composites can be improved by balancing the effects of space charge dissipation and polarization relaxation.

随着电力负荷的逐年增长,电网规模日益扩大,为保障电能的安全稳定供应,特高压、大电流输电得到广泛应用,同时也对高压电器设备的绝缘性能提出了更高的要求[1-2]。环氧树脂(epoxy resin,EP)因其优良的电气与力学性能成为气体绝缘组合电器、干式电抗器、高压开关柜等关键设备中的重要绝缘材料。纯EP的热力学性能与绝缘性能难以满足越来越高的绝缘要求,因此工业上多采取微、纳米填料掺杂改性的方法提高EP复合材料的综合性能[3-4],但由于复合材料制备过程中存在的物理化学缺陷,加之设备使用年限过长时材料老化等因素,会使得EP复合材料绝缘性能下降,尤其是材料表面极易诱发闪络放电,严重时会导致设备烧毁,造成重大的经济损失[5]。因此,有必要针对EP复合材料开展改性研究,进一步提高其表面绝缘性能。
近年来,国内外研究人员针对EP复合材料的沿面闪络问题开展了大量的研究,发现填料与基体间的界面区域具有的特殊结构和性质会影响材料的诸多电学特性。界面区域含有大量的俘获陷阱,这些陷阱在电场作用下会捕获载流子形成空间电荷;同时大量的有机-无机界面会在外加电场作用下加深界面处的极化程度。空间电荷的脱陷与极化能量的弛豫是导致沿面闪络放电的重要因素[6-9]。研究表明,填料掺杂浓度的变化会导致不同层级间界面区域的交叠,进而改变材料的电学特性[10-11]。通过对填料进行修饰,改善界面的相互作用,能加速空间电荷的消散速率,缓解外电场作用下聚合物表面的电场畸变程度,从而提高材料的沿面闪络电压[12-13]。但目前,对于填料改性后诸多电学特性的变化情况与材料闪络性能的关系仍有待进一步研究,如何平衡各种界面效应实现闪络电压最优提升的方法仍需深入探索。
氮化硼(boron nitride,BN)具有优良的导热与绝缘性能,对于EP是一种理想的填料。利用球磨等手段可以将六方氮化硼(h-BN)剥离为二维的氮化硼纳米片(boron nitride nanosheets,BNNS),其结构与石墨烯类似,具备更强的纳米尺寸效应,是未来极具应用潜力的纳米材料之一[14]。但BNNS与环氧基体的相容性不佳,使得制备的EP复合材料性能提升受到限制。LEI W等[15]提出了一种利用尿素和氮化硼纳米片共球磨制备氨基化氮化硼纳米片(amination boron nitridenanosheets,A-BNNS)的技术,可以实现A-BNNS的实验室大量制备。氨基能与EP基体形成化学键合,利用这一原理可以改善BNNS填料与EP基体间的界面相互作用。
本研究制备了氨基化改性前后的BNNS,并按照不同质量分数将其掺杂改性EP复合材料,利用傅里叶红外光谱(Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,FTIR)及扫描电子显微镜(scanning electron microscope,SEM)等手段表征纳米填料与复合材料的改性效果,并对EP复合材料试样进行负极性直流闪络、等温电位衰减特性及介电性能测试。通过计算材料表面陷阱分布特性,结合介电常数与介质损耗因数的变化规律,分析氨基化接枝及填料质量分数对EP复合材料表面绝缘特性的影响规律。
六方氮化硼(粒径为44 μm,纯度为99.5%)、尿素(CH4N2O,纯度为99%),阿拉丁试剂有限公司;异丙醇((CH3)2CHOH,纯度为99.7%),天津市大茂化学试剂厂;双酚A二缩水甘油醚(DGEBA,E51)、甲基四氢苯酐(MTHPA,504)、2,4,6-三(二甲胺基甲基)苯酚(DMP-30),上海树脂厂。
采用一步法制备A-BNNS,首先称取1 g的h-BN粉末和4 g的尿素,量取25 mL的异丙醇溶液,加入到行星球磨机的玛瑙罐中搅拌均匀。将玛瑙罐放入行星球磨机中,设置球磨机转速为300 r/min,不间断的运行48 h后,将混合物取出放入烧杯中静置。如图1所示,球磨过程中尿素先嵌入到h-BN层间,然后在撞击作用下h-BN逐渐被剥离,同时尿素发生分解,形成游离的氨基基团,接枝在BNNS表面。球磨完成后用注射器取上层悬浊液注入抽滤瓶中,通过孔径为0.22 μm的滤膜进行抽滤,将滤膜上的样品放到真空干燥箱中在80℃下干燥12 h,待冷却至室温后将其放入研钵中研磨,得到A-BNNS粉末,并立即封装保存。
在烧杯中按照质量比5∶4加入适量的DGEBA与MTHPA,利用油浴锅将其升温至40℃并磁力搅拌10 min。再将氨基化改性前后的氮化硼纳米片按照质量分数为0.5%、1.0%、1.5%、2.0%、2.5%分别添加到环氧树脂中,并升温至60℃搅拌10 min。将搅拌后的材料超声分散10 min,使二维纳米填料分布均匀,然后加入适量的促进剂,混合均匀后置于真空干燥箱中在室温下进行脱气处理,最后浇注至模具并按100℃/2 h+120℃/10 h的工艺进行固化,得到复合材料试样。
采用扫描电子显微镜(Hitachi S4800型)对BN纳米填料和EP复合材料的断面进行形貌分析。
将改性前后的BNNS/EP复合材料试样经过超声清洗并干燥后,置于圆柱形不锈钢密闭实验腔体内,气体环境为大气,同时控制腔体内温度为25℃,湿度为30%左右。利用针-针电极施加负极性直流电压,模拟实际运行工况下的极不均匀电场开展沿面闪络实验,闪络实验平台如图2所示。实验过程利用操控装置控制样品台移动,使针-针电极位于样品中心,保证电极与试样表面接触良好,启动高压直流电源,采用均匀升压法按照100 V/s的升压速率对电极加压,直至发生沿面闪络。判断闪络发生的依据为示波器中呈现突变的电压波形,同时在电极间发生电弧放电现象。为确保实验结果的可靠性,不同填料含量复合材料试样均选取5个样片进行测试,每个样片进行15次以上的闪络放电实验,取5~15次闪络放电电压的平均值,测试间隔时长为10 min。
通过等温表面电位衰减(isothermal surface potential decay,ISPD)法测试改性前后EP复合材料样品表面电位的变化情况[16],分析不同填料含量复合材料表面空间电荷的消散情况,并计算其表面陷阱分布特性。实验装置如图3所示,主要包括有源电容探头(Trek 3455ET型)、静电电位计(Trek P0865型,10 kV)、数据采集卡等。首先通过充电针对试样表面进行充电,充电电压为-7 kV,充电时长为 1 min,然后通过二维操纵装置将电容探头移至充电点上方,通过静电电位计检测试样表面的实时电位,进一步通过数据采集卡按照0.01 kHz的采样频率动态获取30 min内的电位数据。
为研究填料对EP复合材料介电特性的影响,通过Agilent-4294A阻抗分析仪测试不同填料含量EP复合材料试样的介电常数。首先清洗样片并干燥,然后采用集总电路法对试样的介电特性进行测试,电极间形成固定尺寸间隔,用样品代替标准介质测量电极间的等效电容,测试有效面积为直径5 mm的圆,温度为室温,频率为103~107 Hz。进一步采用阻抗分析仪自带软件Intulink for Analyzers Version 1.0计算阻抗数据,输出试样的介电谱。
图4为氨基化改性前后的BN纳米填料及其EP复合材料的SEM表征结果。
对比图4(a)、(b)可以看出,BNNS的形貌为薄片状,横向尺寸为300~500 nm,厚度为几十纳米,表面光滑无颗粒物附着,整体呈现多层堆叠分布。A-BNNS由于接枝了大量的氨基基团,其表面有较多纳米级颗粒附着,呈现出一层粗糙的颗粒状凸起,说明氨基基团通过键合作用成功接枝到BNNS表面。对比图4(c)、(d)可以看出,在未改性BNNS/EP复合材料中,BNNS在基体中呈现出球形的颗粒状分布,且分散性较差,部分区域存在较为严重的团聚现象。而改性后的A-BNNS在EP基体中分散良好,填料呈现出类似树枝状的分布,这可能是由BNNS表面的氨基基团与EP基体的成键作用导致。
图5为改性前后BNNS的FTIR曲线。从图5可以看出,改性前后BNNS均在806 cm-1与1 380 cm-1处出现了B-N的弯曲振动峰与伸缩振动峰。A-BNNS在3 100~3 500 cm-1处出现了N-H的吸收峰,在3 208 cm-1与3 433 cm-1处有明显的NH2双峰[17],而BNNS并未出现这些基团的吸收峰,说明经过氨基化改性处理后,NH2基团被成功接枝到BN纳米片表面。
将不同填料含量EP复合材料的直流沿面闪络电压取绝对值并作图,结果如图6所示。由图6可知,A-BNNS对于EP复合材料沿面闪络特性的提升效果整体优于BNNS。随着填料含量的增加,BNNS和A-BNNS掺杂的EP复合材料闪络电压均呈现先上升后下降再上升的趋势,在填料质量分数为0.5%时,闪络电压提升最为明显,A-BNNS/EP相较于纯EP提升了26.9%,BNNS/EP的提升幅度也达到了21.5%。分析认为,向EP基体中引入少量BNNS纳米填料,能在一定程度上依靠BN优良的绝缘性能,提升EP复合材料整体的沿面闪络特性;同时,纳米填料的掺杂也会向基体中引入低能级的俘获陷阱,使得材料表面电荷不易积聚,缓解电场畸变效应。但随着填料含量的增加,部分填料出现团聚的现象,对基体的均匀分散产生了较大的影响,破坏了EP基体原本致密的交联网络结构。填料间团聚也使得由界面区构筑的电荷消散通路相对减少,难以抵消基体受损带来的不良效应,因此闪络电压呈现下降趋势[7-8]。当填料含量进一步增加时,填充BNNS的EP复合材料闪络电压并无明显提升,但掺杂A-BNNS的EP复合材料则呈现出明显的上升趋势。由SEM和FTIR表征结果可知,A-BNNS边缘有较多的氨基支链,这些支链一方面阻碍了纳米片层材料彼此间的团聚效应,另一方面也与基体间形成了“树枝”状的连结形式,A-BNNS和EP通过键合作用形成的填料-基体界面层也能提供可靠的电荷消散通道。此外,氨基的接枝为EP复合材料引入了极性较强的基团,能在一定程度上提高材料的介电常数和电导率,在外加电场作用下提高了材料的极化阈值,增强了空间电荷消散的能力,对提高材料沿面闪络电压有积极的作用[8,12,18]
根据文献[19]中的方法,聚合物表面电荷密度σ可通过式(1)由电位值φ计算得到。定义表面电荷消散的速率v为测试始末阶段电荷密度的比值,依据式(1)可简化为由电位值表示的式(2)

式(1)~(2)中:P表示材料表面电荷与表面电位的系数关系矩阵。进一步将EP复合材料表面充电点电位数据以初始电位φ(0)为标准进行归一化处理,得到归一化电位φt*,如式(3)所示

EP复合材料的电位-时间变化曲线如图7所示。从图7可以看出,随着填料含量的增加,材料表面电荷的消散速率呈现先增大后减小的趋势,A-BNNS/EP复合材料的电荷消散速率整体大于BNNS/EP复合材料。这与材料闪络电压的变化情况相契合,说明EP复合材料表面电荷的积聚效应是导致闪络的关键因素。A-BNNS掺杂改性EP后,填料与基体间界面层形成了由偶极子构成的电荷输运网络,使得空间电荷通过表面侧与固体侧消散的速率加快。当填料的质量分数为0.5%时,材料表面空间电荷的消散速率最快,且显著高于其他填料含量的EP复合材料。分析认为,质量分数为0.5%达到了复合材料的逾渗阈值,填料与基体间的界面区域形成了宏观尺度上的连通型结构,发生了几何相变,特定区域的材料电导出现突变,使得空间电荷的消散速率大幅提升[8,18],这种效应也使得该质量分数下EP复合材料的沿面闪络电压得到明显提升。
进一步基于ISPD法研究了EP复合材料表面的陷阱分布特性[20]。假设载流子脱陷后不再被俘获,可得到陷阱能级Et及电流密度J与陷阱密度Nt之间的关系如式(4)~(5)所示。

利用MATLAB对EP复合材料表面电荷密度随时间的衰减特性曲线进行双项指数函数拟合即可求得材料表面的陷阱能级分布,如图8所示,受限于测试时长,测得的陷阱能级基本分布在0.8~1.2 eV。
图8可知,添加纳米填料后EP复合材料的陷阱能级均呈现先减小后增大的变化趋势,且A-BNNS/EP复合材料的陷阱能级整体低于相同填料质量分数的BNNS/EP复合材料。分析认为EP基体为高聚物,其能级较高,当向EP基体中引入BNNS时,纳米填料破坏了原本的环氧交联网络,界面区域形成了自由运动的分子链段,这些链段使得原本致密的大分子网络结构出现了缺陷,从而引入了较低能级的俘获陷阱;同时这些分子链段在电场作用下会一定程度形成极化电荷,使得材料的表面陷阱深度变浅。但随着填料含量的增加,界面区域开始交叠,这种效应逐渐被削弱,同时高能隙的BN被更多地引入基体中,从而使得材料表面的陷阱能级又呈现出增大的趋势。相对而言,A-BNNS表面含有NH2基团,这一方面改善了填料与基体间的相容性,但同时也引入了极性更强的基团,使得EP复合材料在电场作用下更容易形成极化电荷。因此,A-BNNS/EP复合材料的陷阱能级要明显低于BNNS/EP复合材料。陷阱能级变浅使得EP复合材料内部载流子迁移能力变强,在外电场作用下,注入材料内部的空间电荷不易积聚,缓解了局部区域的电场畸变程度,使得闪络放电起始阶段初始电子难以被激发,闪络放电发展阶段二次电子发射后缺乏高场强加速赋能,难以形成大规模的电子雪崩,因此阻碍了闪络放电的发展,有利于提高材料的沿面闪络电压。
根据G BLAISE等[21]提出的ETPR模型理论,在外电场作用下材料内部空间电荷的脱陷与极化能量的释放均是导致闪络放电的重要因素。低介电常数的材料内部自由电荷数量较少,理论上可作为理想的绝缘材料,但实际中材料内部难以避免地会存在自由电荷,因此,平衡电荷密度与促进电荷消散是提高材料绝缘性能的有效手段。研究表明[22],向EP基材中引入较高介电常数的半导体纳米填料,在少量掺杂的情况下可以显著提高复合材料的沿面闪络电压。本研究中BN经过氨基化改性后成功接枝了极性基团NH2,未参与交联反应的氨基基团在键合层与束缚层之间热运动,使得界面区域容易在电场作用下发生极化,电偶极子为空间电荷的疏散提供了通道,一定程度上加速了空间电荷的消散。利用高阻计测试EP复合材料的介电常数及介质损耗因数对此进行验证。由于材料的介电常数ε与介质损耗因数tanδ随频率升高基本呈现线性变化的趋势,因此取频率为105 Hz下的值进行研究。图9为EP复合材料的ε与tanδ随填料质量分数变化的曲线。
图9(a)可知,A-BNNS/EP复合材料介电常数明显高于BNNS/EP复合材料,其中A-BNNS/EP复合材料的介电常数随着填料含量的增加呈现先上升后下降再上升的趋势,而BNNS/EP复合材料则表现为类正弦变化趋势。分析认为当纳米填料掺杂量较低时,EP复合材料介电常数的提升幅度较小,而改性前BNNS与基体相容性较差,界面区域分布不均,当填料团聚现象严重时,局部区域的纳米填料颗粒粒径明显增大,环氧树脂分子间距扩大,有助于极性基团的偶极取向,进而使得介电常数增大。因此,BNNS/EP复合材料的界面区域极化受填料分散性的影响较大,介电常数随填料含量的增加呈现出无序的变化规律。而经过氨基化接枝改性后的A-BNNS能很好地与基体形成键合作用,改善填料的分散性,使得界面区域极化受极性基团引发的偶极子极化作用主导,因此介电常数先随着填料含量的增加而上升。当填料含量进一步增加时,不同界面层间开始重叠,界面作用逐渐饱和,介电常数开始在一定范围内出现波动。同样,tanδ的变化趋势与介电常数基本一致,经过氨基化改性后的A-BNNS掺杂EP会提高材料的介质损耗,这是由于电偶极子的存在会增强材料的电导,使得电导损耗升高。
根据ETPR模型理论,极化能量的储存和释放在闪络放电的起始阶段起到关键作用,去极化过程中伴随着电荷的迁移和能量的释放,这是闪络发生的一个初始条件,这一作用虽然影响较小,但却不可忽略。A-BNNS掺杂环氧树脂在一定程度上提高了复合材料的介电常数,使其极化阈值提高,极化弛豫过程变长。去极化过程滞后使得闪络放电缺少必要的初始条件,一定程度上能提高沿面闪络电压。同时,由于极性基团作用引起的电导提升又为空间电荷的运动提供了通道,加速了空间电荷的消散,但过高的电导不利于闪络电压的提升。在一定填充量范围内,电荷的脱陷要远快于去极化过程中能量的释放,因此平衡两种效应能在加速空间电荷消散的情况下,延缓闪络的发生,有效提升EP复合材料的沿面闪络电压。
(1)成功将氨基接枝到BNNS表面,改善了其在EP基体中的分散性,氨基化改性后的BNNS能有效提高EP复合材料的沿面闪络电压,当填料质量分数为0.5%时效果最优,相较于纯EP材料提高了26.9%。
(2)随填料质量分数的增加,EP复合材料表面的陷阱能级呈现先减小后增大的变化趋势,氨基化改性能降低陷阱能级,加速表面空间电荷的消散速率,对EP复合材料闪络电压的提升有促进作用。
(3)由于BNNS与EP基体相容性不佳,复合材料的介电常数与介质损耗因数呈现类正弦波动的变化趋势,经过氨基化改性后的A-BNNS能在一定程度增大材料的介电常数与介质损耗因数,增大极化电荷的浓度,同时促进表面电导的提升,加快载流子的迁移。
