PI nano composite films were conducted long-term multiple ageing at 270℃, 70℃ and 90%RH, and 320℃, and their thickness, dielectric spectra, conductivity, partial discharge initiation voltage, and insulation life at different ageing stages were tested. The results show that the insulating properties of the PI film has no obvious change after ageing at 270℃. The high humidity environment has a significant impact on the dielectric spectra, conductivity, and partial discharge initiation voltage of the PI film, but it does not shorten its insulation life. The internal structure of PI film would change under the high temperature of 320℃, which will shorten its insulation life by about 30%.

在270℃、70℃及90%RH、320℃条件下对PI纳米复合薄膜进行长时间多重老化,测试了不同老化阶段PI薄膜的厚度、介电谱、电导率、局部放电起始电压及绝缘寿命。结果表明:经270℃老化后,PI薄膜的绝缘性能并未发生明显改变;而高湿度环境会对PI薄膜的介电谱、电导特性及局部放电起始电压产生明显影响但并未缩短其绝缘寿命;320℃高温会使PI薄膜内部结构发生变化,从而使其绝缘寿命缩短约30%。

PI nano composite films were conducted long-term multiple ageing at 270℃, 70℃ and 90%RH, and 320℃, and their thickness, dielectric spectra, conductivity, partial discharge initiation voltage, and insulation life at different ageing stages were tested. The results show that the insulating properties of the PI film has no obvious change after ageing at 270℃. The high humidity environment has a significant impact on the dielectric spectra, conductivity, and partial discharge initiation voltage of the PI film, but it does not shorten its insulation life. The internal structure of PI film would change under the high temperature of 320℃, which will shorten its insulation life by about 30%.

聚酰亚胺(PI)薄膜材料因具有良好的力学性能及绝缘性能,被广泛应用于电动机、风力发电机组、航天器等设备 [1-3]。随着电压类型的变化及电压等级的提高,设备内部发生的局部放电对PI材料的电气性能提出了更为严苛的要求。为提高绝缘材料的性能,国内外研究者引入纳米颗粒改性多种绝缘材料,并已证明纳米复合绝缘材料优异的性能[4-5]。为了提高PI材料的力学及绝缘性能,学者们开发了三层结构的纳米复合PI薄膜,其具有优异的耐电晕特性,已实现工业应用。此外,PI材料自身具有很高的热稳定性,可在极宽的温度区间内稳定运行。研究表明[6-7],在高温下进行短时热老化后,PI薄膜仍能保持优异性能,并且具有承受局部放电侵蚀的能力[8]。由于设备发热及高湿度区域等特殊工作环境,PI绝缘可能长期处于高温及高湿等极端条件下。因此,有必要研究长期高温-高湿多重老化下PI薄膜的介电及耐局部放电性能,而目前这方面的研究较少。
本研究在不同温度及湿度下对PI薄膜进行多重老化,测量不同老化阶段PI薄膜的介电谱、电导率、局部放电起始电压(PDIV)及绝缘寿命,应用红外光谱及SEM分析热老化后材料的物化结构,并解释老化对绝缘寿命的影响。
试样选用厚度为50 μm的纳米复合PI薄膜材料(杜邦公司,200CR型),老化试验前用酒精擦拭其表面并置于80℃环境下干燥24 h。
101-2AB型普通恒温老化实验箱,德国西德宝测量工具有限责任公司;0030B型恒温恒湿老化箱,东莞市勤卓环境测试设备有限公司;LK-1800A型高温马弗炉,洛阳格利斯实验电炉公司;217-111型螺旋测微仪,南京苏测计量仪器有限公司;Novocontrol concept 80型宽频介电谱测试仪,Novocontrol公司。
为了验证温度、湿度等条件对PI薄膜性能的影响,设计多重老化实验如表1所示。
在老化阶段1将试样放入101-2AB型普通恒温老化实验箱进行老化,设定老化温度为270℃,该阶段老化温度的设定依据生产商标称的长期运行温度(240℃),在此温度基础上升高约10%。老化总时长设定为900 h,单个周期为100 h。每个单周期结束后,取出部分试样待测。
老化阶段1结束后,取出所有试样放入0030B型恒温恒湿老化箱,开始老化阶段2实验。为模拟高湿度条件下的PI老化,设定实验温度为70℃,考虑极限湿度条件下的老化及设备长期稳定运行参数,将该阶段相对湿度设定为90%。老化总时长设定为300 h,单个周期为100 h。每个单周期结束后,取出部分试样待测。
老化阶段2结束后,将剩余试样放入LK-1800A型高温马弗炉,开始老化阶段3实验。参考老化阶段1,将温度在240℃基础上升高约30%,设定温度为320℃,老化总时长设定为500 h,单个周期为100 h。每个单周期结束后,取出部分试样待测。
在各老化阶段的不同老化时间,快速取出部分老化试样,同时保证老化条件不间断。将试样依据实验需求切割为相应尺寸,制作不同试样并进行测试,以验证其介电性能及局部放电耐受性能。
厚度测试:使用螺旋测微仪测定薄膜厚度并记录。每个实验条件下对取出试样10个位置进行测量,结果取平均值作为厚度值,测试温度为20℃。
介电谱测试:使用宽频介电谱测试仪测量试样在0.1 Hz~3 MHz的介电谱,被测试样为直径20 mm的圆形薄膜,测量前对其表面进行喷金处理以保证准确性,每个试验条件下重复测量6组试样,测试温度为20℃。
电导率测量:被测试样直径为40 mm,表面采用导电银漆制作测试电极。使用三电极结构及皮安表测量电导率,测量电场设定为14 kV/mm,测量时长为30 h。每个试验条件下重复测试3组试样,测试温度为20℃,相对湿度为40%。
PDIV测量:使用柱(直径为6 mm)-板电极结构测试PI薄膜的局部放电起始电压,局部放电传感器为高频电流互感器,采用50 Hz交流电压,升压速度为50 V/min,温度为20℃,相对湿度为40%,测量电极如图1所示。每个试验条件下重复测试10组试样。
绝缘寿命测试:采用图1所示的柱-板电极结构,电压设定为8 kV,频率为50 Hz。将测量开始加压至试样击穿所用时间作为绝缘寿命。每个试验条件下重复测试8组试样,测试温度为20℃,相对湿度为40%。
图2为不同老化阶段PI薄膜的厚度。从图2可以看出,在老化阶段1~3中,PI薄膜厚度并未发生明显变化,分布在49.8~50.8 μm。这表明高温或者高湿度老化并未使PI薄膜的结构发生外在变化,不会破坏其原有体积特征。但在老化过程中发现,270℃及320℃老化条件下,PI薄膜的颜色发生明显变化,由金色逐渐变化为深褐色。
实验测量了各老化阶段每周期PI薄膜的介电谱,为简化分析过程,本研究选用不同老化阶段末期PI薄膜的介电常数及介质损耗因数展开讨论,如图34所示。
图3可知,与未老化的PI薄膜相比,老化阶段1末期PI薄膜的相对介电常数有所升高,这一升高趋势在老化阶段2更加明显,尤其在低频段,其相对介电常数可达约7.0。这一测量结果表明高湿度环境下的老化对PI薄膜的极化性能产生了较大的影响[9]。该现象可能是由PI薄膜表面极化特性的变化所引起,随着不同老化阶段试验的进行,PI薄膜的表面可能发生不同程度的氧化、水解及吸水等过程,这一复杂的过程引起了其低频区介电性能的变化。在老化阶段2中,高湿度环境下PI分子可能发生水解导致分子链断裂及具有较高极性的小分子析出,且PI内部吸收了大量水分,使PI薄膜的介电常数大幅上升[10]。随着老化阶段3的开始,较高的温度使上一老化阶段的水解产物再次发生聚合,且其内部吸收的水分在此温度下迅速挥发,使其介电常数回归至未老化试样水平。
图4可以看出,PI薄膜介质损耗因数的变化与相对介电常数类似,在老化阶段2达到最大值。与上述讨论相似,水解反应产物及PI本体吸水过程是引起此变化的主要原因。
综上可知,在较高湿度环境下运行的PI薄膜介电性能将发生改变,进而可能对其绝缘性能产生影响。
不同老化阶段PI薄膜的电导率测试结果如图5所示。
图5可以看出,各老化阶段PI薄膜的电导率分布在5×10-18~5×10-17 S/cm。在老化阶段1,PI薄膜电阻率呈现极缓慢的下降趋势,表明270℃温度并未对PI薄膜的电导率造成明显的影响,由此可知,使用PI绝缘的电气设备可以在该温度下长期保持较低的电导率。而随着老化阶段2的开始,PI薄膜的电导率迅速上升一个数量级,达到最高的5×10-17 S/cm,这是由于高湿度老化条件下的水解反应及PI薄膜吸收水分,在其内部引入大量载流子,使得电导率大幅上升。虽然PI薄膜的电导变化较大,但其绝缘性能仍能满足大部分电气设备的需求。当温度升高至320℃时,PI薄膜的电导率迅速降低至与老化阶段1相同的数值,说明高温下的二次聚合及水分挥发使得材料内载流子数量减少。
由此可知,270℃并不会明显改变PI薄膜的电导率,而高湿环境下PI薄膜的绝缘性能会有所下降,温度升高后其电导特性可恢复至未老化阶段的状态。
为研究PI薄膜在不同老化阶段的局部放电特征,对各个阶段的PI薄膜试样进行了50 Hz交流电压下的PDIV测试。测试电极采用IEC 60343-1991规定的典型柱-板电极。记录局部放电初始时的电压峰峰值作为其PDIV。对各组数据进行Weibull统计分布之后获得63.2%概率下对应的电压值并以此表征各老化阶段的PDIV特征,其变化趋势如图6所示。
图6可以看出,在老化阶段1内,PI薄膜的PDIV为1 750~1 810 V,表明在该温度下PI薄膜性能稳定,并未出现明显的变化。而随着老化阶段2的开始,PDIV迅速减小至约1 700 V,该变化与介电常数变化趋势相符合,与文献[9]的相关研究结果一致。在老化阶段3,PDIV在前300 h内保持与未老化试样相近水平,证明PI分子链在此阶段内产生二次聚合且上一阶段吸收的水分在这一时间内迅速挥发,使PI绝缘性能得以恢复。而随着高温老化的进行,其PDIV迅速减小。这表明当PI薄膜长期暴露在320℃时,高温可能对PI薄膜分子结构造成破坏并对PI薄膜的性能产生较大影响,使其绝缘性能迅速下降。
当局部放电发生后,PI薄膜的绝缘寿命成为制约设备安全运行的关键因素。为测试不同老化阶段PI薄膜的绝缘寿命,采用柱-板电极及8 kV峰峰值工频电压产生稳定的电晕,以击穿时间作为PI薄膜的绝缘寿命[11]
图7为各老化周期PI薄膜的绝缘寿命分布图。由图7可知,在老化阶段1及阶段2,PI薄膜的绝缘寿命并未发生明显变化,其绝缘寿命平均值为90~120 min。结合图6的PDIV测试结果可知,老化阶段2内PDIV的降低并未引起绝缘寿命的降低,这是由于电晕现象产生的热量使得PI薄膜内吸收的水分在起始的较短时间内迅速挥发,从而使得其耐局放性能仅在开始阶段受到较小影响,整体寿命并未发生明显改变。而在老化阶段3,PI薄膜的绝缘寿命逐步缩短至70 min左右,表明这一温度下的长期老化对PI薄膜性能产生了较大影响。
综上可知,PI薄膜无法在320℃高温下保持长期稳定工作,操作过程中应防止此类高温的出现,以保证设备绝缘寿命。
为分析上述不同老化阶段PI薄膜的分子结构变化,采用FTIR对各个阶段试样进行分析,结果如图8所示。为简化表征,选用未老化试样及各老化阶段末期试样的测试结果展开讨论。由图8可知,在各老化阶段,PI薄膜试样的FTIR测试结果并未发生明显变化,表明经过不同老化阶段之后,其化学结构并未发生明显改变。
为分析不同老化阶段PI薄膜性能变化的原因,采用SEM观测了不同老化阶段PI薄膜表面及横截面的微观形态,SEM结果表明,老化阶段1及阶段2末期PI薄膜结构相较于未老化试样并未发生明显改变,故选用未老化试样及老化阶段3末期的SEM图展开讨论,如图9图10所示。
图9可以看出,多重老化完成后,PI薄膜表面并未发生明显变化,表面未见纳米颗粒析出,且纳米颗粒分布特征未发生改变,由此推测,绝缘寿命的缩短可能由其内部结构的变化所致。
图10可知,被测PI薄膜呈现明显的三明治结构,由外侧的纳米复合层及中间PI层构成。随着320℃高温老化的进行,其纳米复合层发生了明显的形态变化,如图10(b)及10(d)所示,纳米复合层由初始的致密结构变为老化后期的疏松结构。引起这一结构变化的原因可能是较高温度下的热应力导致纳米颗粒与PI材料之间偶联剂的剥离或分解,使得大量纳米颗粒析出,从而形成了图10(d)所示的疏松结构。此外,三层结构在较高温度下由于膨胀系数的不同可能会发生不同程度的机械形变,形成局部较大的机械应力,在界面产生大量低密度区。这类低密度区的产生会加剧局部放电,促进PI分子链的裂解,从而导致PI在较短时间内击穿,明显降低了PI薄膜的绝缘寿命[12]
(1)被测PI薄膜在270℃具有较高耐受性,在老化阶段1末期,试样的相对介电常数升高约20%,电导率、PDIV及绝缘寿命未发生明显变化。
(2)在高湿度环境下水分的吸收会使PI薄膜的介电常数、介质损耗因数及电导率增加,降低其PDIV,但并未显著缩短其绝缘寿命。
(3)经过老化阶段3后,PI薄膜的PDIV及介电谱较未老化试样并未发生明显改变,但其绝缘寿命缩短约30%,其原因可能是由于高温下材料内部的结构发生了变化。
