In this paper, five kinds of epoxy resin samples with different ratios of acid anhydride curing agent were prepared by hot pressing method. The thermal and dielectric properties of the samples were tested, and then the best anhydride curing agent ratios were selected, and the steric effects caused by methyl substitution were analyzed. The results show that the mixed anhydride curing sample with the molar ratio of methylhexahydrophthalic anhydride and hexahydrophthalic anhydride of 8∶2 shows the highest glass transition temperature, and the electrical strength is improved, while the dielectric loss remains unchanged, which is closely related to the increased rigidity of the system.

采用热压法制备5种不同酸酐固化剂配比的环氧树脂材料,测试了材料的热性能与介电性能,优选出了性能最佳的酸酐固化剂配比,并分析了甲基取代带来的空间位阻效应。结果表明:甲基六氢邻苯二甲酸酐和六氢苯酐摩尔比为8∶2的混合酸酐固化产物玻璃化转变温度达到最高,在介质损耗基本不变的条件下,电气强度得到了提升,这与体系刚性的增强密切相关。

采用热压法制备5种不同酸酐固化剂配比的环氧树脂材料,测试了材料的热性能与介电性能,优选出了性能最佳的酸酐固化剂配比,并分析了甲基取代带来的空间位阻效应。结果表明:甲基六氢邻苯二甲酸酐和六氢苯酐摩尔比为8∶2的混合酸酐固化产物玻璃化转变温度达到最高,在介质损耗基本不变的条件下,电气强度得到了提升,这与体系刚性的增强密切相关。

In this paper, five kinds of epoxy resin samples with different ratios of acid anhydride curing agent were prepared by hot pressing method. The thermal and dielectric properties of the samples were tested, and then the best anhydride curing agent ratios were selected, and the steric effects caused by methyl substitution were analyzed. The results show that the mixed anhydride curing sample with the molar ratio of methylhexahydrophthalic anhydride and hexahydrophthalic anhydride of 8∶2 shows the highest glass transition temperature, and the electrical strength is improved, while the dielectric loss remains unchanged, which is closely related to the increased rigidity of the system.

特高压输电在远距离、大容量输电方面具有独特优势,对满足我国日益增长的用电需求具有重大意义[1]。特高压干式套管是特高压输电工程的关键装备,其绝缘芯子承担着导电连接、绝缘隔离和机械支撑的作用,是特高压套管的核心结构。绝缘芯子由液态环氧树脂浸渍缠绕在导体上的皱纹纸和铝箔屏蔽经高温固化形成。研究表明,高压套管绝缘芯子介电性能不佳是绝缘故障频发的主要原因。环氧树脂固化产物是套管绝缘芯子的主体部分,承担着主要的绝缘功能,其介电性能对芯子的绝缘状态影响显著。因此提高环氧树脂固化产物的介电性能,对套管绝缘芯子介电性能的提升具有重要意义。
环氧树脂固化产物是在环氧树脂基体中混入固化剂经过高温固化成型得到的热固性绝缘材料,其中固化剂是影响环氧树脂产物性能的关键因素[2]。不同酸酐固化剂下环氧树脂固化产物具有不同的交联结构,导致产物的介电性能不一[3]。混合酸酐是采用不同类型的酸酐按特定配比混合,作为固化剂可以调控环氧树脂产物的交联结构,有望实现环氧树脂介电性能的综合提升[4]
目前,混合固化剂可提升环氧树脂材料的性能已经被诸多研究所证实。张鸿飞等[5]研究了异佛尔酮二胺(IPDA)与2-乙基-4-甲基咪唑(2E4MZ)混合固化剂对环氧树脂的固化效果。结果表明,与单一固化剂的固化产物相比,混合固化剂的固化产物固化程度更高,热稳定性与耐腐蚀性均有所提升。邓晓琴[6]将多元胺类固化剂添加到甲基四氢苯酐和二氨基二苯甲烷复配的混合固化剂中,提高了环氧复合材料的冲击强度和拉伸强度。LIU Y等[7]利用苯基缩水甘油醚(PGE)与过量的间苯二胺(MPDA)反应制备了一种新型液体混合固化剂(MPDA-NPHB),这种混合固化剂解决了MPDA常温下为固体状态而难以应用的问题,提升了双酚A型环氧树脂材料的玻璃化转变温度,同时也提高了其低温下的冲击强度与剪切强度,对低温下环氧树脂材料的应用具有重要价值。夏建陵等[8]研究了甲基四氢苯酐/桐酸甲酯酸酐(MeTHPA/MeMA)混合酸酐的固化产物特性。结果表明,当二者配比为9∶1时,固化产物的拉伸、弯曲与冲击强度和电绝缘性均达到最佳。然而,这些研究多聚焦于混合酸酐对固化产物力学性能的提升,对介电性能的关注较少。因此,研究混合酸酐对环氧树脂介电性能的影响具有重要的应用价值[9-12]
本研究以甲基六氢邻苯二甲酸酐(MHHPA)与六氢苯酐(HHPA)作为固化剂,制备5种不同配比下单一酸酐和混合酸酐的固化产物,通过测试其玻璃化转变温度比较不同产物的热稳定性;进一步测试不同产物的直流电导率、介电常数、介质损耗因数、电气强度等介电性能,获得最佳的性能配比,分析甲基取代带来的空间位阻效应,以期为环氧树脂的工艺优化提供相关依据。
双酚A型环氧树脂(EP),牌号为DER332,环氧当量为171~175,陶氏化学;甲基六氢邻苯二甲酸酐(MHHPA)、六氢苯酐(HHPA)、N,N-二甲基苄胺(BDMA),均为工业级,麦克林试剂有限公司。
为了加快反应进度,在固化体系中加入胺类促进剂BDMA以缩短成品所需时间。由反应机理可知,在促进剂参与的情况下,每一个环氧基团会和一个酸酐基团发生反应[2,13]。一般而言,对于每100 g环氧树脂,对应酸酐用量按式(1)计算。

式(1)中:Mh为酸酐相对分子质量;n为单个分子酸酐基团数目;Ev为环氧树脂环氧值;k为修正系数,根据经验,存在胺类促进剂条件下,k一般取值为1。
式(1)计算获得不同固化产物的原料配比如表1所示,环氧树脂基体质量为5 g,促进剂BDMA根据EP基体质量的0.5%确定,即为0.025 g。
按照表1所示配方配置原料并混合,将所得混合物充分搅拌,放入真空箱,恒温60℃抽真空30 min,确保混合物中所有气泡排出后取出,随后迅速将其倒在聚四氟乙烯膜上,确保不出现断流。将另一片膜匀速贴上,保证不出现气泡。然后放进压片机中。维持100℃加热4 h,之后维持140℃加热 6 h,全程压强维持在25 MPa。关闭电源,取出后揭开聚四氟乙烯膜,即可获得对应的环氧树脂样品。
两种固化剂的分子结构如图1所示。
图1可以看出,MHHPA比HHPA多出一个甲基,该甲基取代了HHPA结构中六元环上的氢原子,同时与羧酸碳原子相距较近。相关研究表明,聚合物中甲基侧链的存在具有空间位阻效应,该效应可以限制分子主链的旋转,提供刚性结构,同时可以减弱分子内和分子间的电荷转移[14-15]。因此,MHHPA固化剂中的甲基取代增大了分子间的空间位阻,影响不同交联结构的形成,最终导致产物不同的性能。
使用德国Netzsch公司DSC200F3型差示扫描量热仪测试玻璃化转变温度。测试流程:以20℃/min的速率将样品从20℃温升至200℃,维持5 min;以10℃/min的速率将样品从200℃降至40℃。对热流曲线进行微分,下降段斜率最大处即为样品的玻璃化转变温度。
使用三电极法测试样品的直流电导率。测试系统由高压直流电源、三电极测量单元、静电计、恒温箱等组成,如图2所示。高压直流电源采用正极性直流电源,输出电压范围为0~30 kV。测量电流表采用Keithley 6517B型静电计,测量范围为1 fA~20 mA。恒温箱可控温度范围为20~120℃。
25℃与65℃下测试时间为1 800 s,100℃下测量时间为3 600 s,测试时间间隔为1 s。为保证数据准确性,所有样品均测量5次,选取平均值为最终数据。为防止电荷积聚对实验结果产生干扰,每片样品之间的测试间隔应大于12 h。
使用Novocontrol Concept 80型宽频介电谱仪测试样品的介电性能,其等效测试原理如图3所示。测试频率范围为10-1~106 Hz,测试在室温下进行。选取厚度为250 μm的薄片样品,样品两侧喷金以保证接触良好。
介电谱仪测得的电容C主要由3部分组成,分别为测试样品等效电容Cp,系统残余电容Cs(包括样品自身残余电容)和边缘电容Ce(包括样品边缘残余电场的残余电容)。测试电容C的计算式为式(2)

采用一套球-板电极测量系统测试交流电气强度。测量系统如图4所示,包括工频交流电源、球-板电极单元、电容分压器、保护电阻等。依照GB/T 1408.1—2016搭建平台,球-板电极单元选用直径为20 mm的球电极(铜材质),电极和样品浸入25#变压器油中,以防止测试过程中样品边缘沿面闪络对测试结果的影响。电极单元置于恒温箱中以控制环境温度。
高压条件下,绝缘材料的电气强度为概率值,实验结果具有相当大的分散性。因此,采用Weibull分布模型对电气强度的实验结果进行拟合[16-17],得到样品的击穿性能。Weibull分布表达式为式(5)

式(5)中:x为电气强度;α为尺度参数,表示击穿概率达到63.2%时的电气强度;β为形状参数,对应击穿数据分散度的倒数。
玻璃化转变温度(Tg)是聚合物从玻璃态过渡到高弹态的转变温度。高弹态下环氧树脂分子链段运动加剧,其介电性能会大幅下降,严重影响设备的正常运行。研究表明,分子结合状态和链刚性是影响聚合物玻璃化转变温度的两个因素[18-20]。分子结合越紧密、刚性越强,则聚合物的玻璃化转变温度越高,热稳定性越好。
样品的Tg测试结果如图5所示。从图5可以看出,E-5样品的Tg最低,仅为115.0℃,其余样品的Tg均高于130℃,其中甲基六氢邻苯二甲酸酐和六氢苯酐摩尔比为8∶2的E-2样品Tg最高,达到了137.0℃。这表明甲基的引入显著提升了样品的玻璃化转变温度。
引入甲基后样品Tg的显著提升可归因于甲基的空间位阻效应。受甲基的空间阻碍作用,体系反应活性降低,刚性得到增强,宏观上表现为热稳定性的提升。E-2的Tg要高于单一酸酐的E-1,这表明甲基的含量并不是越高越好,存在最优比例。这可能是由于过多的甲基导致酸酐基的反应活性过低,形成的分子交联结构不够充分。实验表明,混合酸酐制备的环氧树脂热稳定性要优于单一酸酐制备的环氧树脂。
25、65、100℃下样品的电导率如图6所示。从图6可以看出,在各个温度条件下,E-1的电导率低于E-5,而混合酸酐样品的电导率介于两者之间。随着温度的升高,E-1与E-5样品的电导率差值增大,而相比常温的情况,E-2与E-4的电导率在高温下分别更接近E-1和E5。
电导的变化主要与电荷的输运特性有关[21]。甲基的引入有利于样品中深陷阱的形成,从而更容易俘获电子,降低电子的迁移率,使样品的电导率降低。低温下,电子能量较低,运动不活跃,甲基含量的差异在电导率上没有明显的反映;高温下,温度的上升伴随电子能量的增加,陷阱对于电子的束缚能力减弱,电导率升高,样品电导率的不同得以凸显。
实验测得20℃下样品的介电常数如图7所示。从图7可以看出,介电常数随着固化剂中甲基含量的增加而减小,表明甲基的存在对样品的介电常数起着抑制作用。
图8绘制了不同样品的Cole-Cole图。从图8可以发现,样品的Cole-Cole曲线呈半圆形,表明该材料的介电规律可以用德拜方程来描述[22-24],且在当前温度下存在单一的松弛时间,该松弛极化强度以指数规律衰减,符合偶极子转向极化的特征。从图8还可以看出,随着甲基含量的增加,圆弧的圆心向左移动,而半径变化不大;经德拜方程的物理含义可证明,甲基的增加增强了体系的刚性,偶极子的转向更加困难,使得介电常数降低。
图9是样品20℃下的介质损耗因数测试结果。从图9可以看出,随着甲基含量的增加,样品的介质损耗因数逐渐降低,与介电常数的测试结果具有相同的趋势。甲基含量低的样品在高频下表现出较为明显的松弛峰,证明甲基的引入可以有效地降低样品的介质损耗因数。
对实验测试的电气强度进行Weibull分布拟合,如图10所示,其拟合参数如表2所示。从图10可以看出,样品的电气强度大体在拟合曲线的两端呈均匀分布,这表明该分布模型与样品的真实击穿概率较为接近,拟合度较高。表2中Weibull分布拟合参数显示,混合酸酐制备的样品电气强度普遍高于单一酸酐制备的样品,同时也具有较高的稳定性。样品的电气强度与甲基含量没有呈现出正相关关系,样品E-3甚至出现了电气强度下降的情况。
从数据来看,E-2样品的电气强度最高,相比单一酸酐E-1样品的电气强度提高了9.74%,数据的分散性也更低,这证明通过混合酸酐改性提升环氧树脂电气强度的手段是可行的。
(1)甲基的引入显著提升了样品的Tg,使得样品的交联结构更加紧密,拥有更好的热稳定性。甲基六氢邻苯二甲酸酐与六氢苯酐摩尔比为8∶2的混合酸酐制备的样品具有最高的玻璃化转变温度。
(2)甲基的引入降低了样品的介电常数与介质损耗因数,环氧树脂在常温下的极化表现符合偶极子转向极化的特征,这种效应随着甲基含量的增加而减弱。
(3)混合酸酐制备的样品电气强度普遍高于单一酸酐制备的样品,证明通过混合酸酐改性在提升样品电气强度的同时也具有较低的数据分散性。E-2样品获得了最高的电气强度。
(4)当甲基含量到达一定量时,继续添加甲基意义不再显著。添加混合酸酐可以有效地提升样品的介电性能,是环氧树脂改性的有效手段。
