Methanol is an important characteristic component in the evaluation of oil-paper insulation state of transformer due to its strong stability and high content in the early ageing stage of insulating oil, while water is an indispensable product during the ageing process of oil-paper. In order to clarify the effect of water on the methanol diffusion in vegetable insulating oil, blending models of vegetable insulating oil, water, and methanol with water content of 1.0%, 1.5%, 3.0%, and 5.0% were constructed, and the diffusion trajectory, diffusion coefficient, interaction energy, hydrogen bonding, free volume of the substances in the model were calculated by molecular dynamics method. The mechanism of water promoting methanol diffusion was explained from microscopic perspective. The results show that with the increase of water content, the interaction energy between methanol and vegetable insulating oil decreases, the hydrogen bond stability of the system decreases, and the free volume increases, which ultimately leads to the enhancement of methanol diffusion in vegetable insulating oil.

甲醇因其稳定性强、在绝缘油老化初期含量高等特点,是变压器油纸绝缘状态评估的重要特征物质,而水是油纸老化过程中必不可少的产物。为明确水对植物绝缘油中甲醇扩散的影响,分别构建含水量为1.0%、1.5%、3.0%、5.0%的植物绝缘油、水、甲醇共混模型,利用分子动力学方法计算模型中物质的扩散轨迹、扩散系数、相互作用能、氢键、自由体积,并从微观角度出发,解释水促进甲醇扩散的机理。结果表明:随着含水量的增加,甲醇与植物绝缘油的相互作用能减小,系统整体的氢键稳定性下降,自由体积增大,最终导致甲醇在植物绝缘油中的扩散作用增强。

甲醇因其稳定性强、在绝缘油老化初期含量高等特点,是变压器油纸绝缘状态评估的重要特征物质,而水是油纸老化过程中必不可少的产物。为明确水对植物绝缘油中甲醇扩散的影响,分别构建含水量为1.0%、1.5%、3.0%、5.0%的植物绝缘油、水、甲醇共混模型,利用分子动力学方法计算模型中物质的扩散轨迹、扩散系数、相互作用能、氢键、自由体积,并从微观角度出发,解释水促进甲醇扩散的机理。结果表明:随着含水量的增加,甲醇与植物绝缘油的相互作用能减小,系统整体的氢键稳定性下降,自由体积增大,最终导致甲醇在植物绝缘油中的扩散作用增强。

Methanol is an important characteristic component in the evaluation of oil-paper insulation state of transformer due to its strong stability and high content in the early ageing stage of insulating oil, while water is an indispensable product during the ageing process of oil-paper. In order to clarify the effect of water on the methanol diffusion in vegetable insulating oil, blending models of vegetable insulating oil, water, and methanol with water content of 1.0%, 1.5%, 3.0%, and 5.0% were constructed, and the diffusion trajectory, diffusion coefficient, interaction energy, hydrogen bonding, free volume of the substances in the model were calculated by molecular dynamics method. The mechanism of water promoting methanol diffusion was explained from microscopic perspective. The results show that with the increase of water content, the interaction energy between methanol and vegetable insulating oil decreases, the hydrogen bond stability of the system decreases, and the free volume increases, which ultimately leads to the enhancement of methanol diffusion in vegetable insulating oil.

油纸绝缘的劣化对变压器寿命具有重要影响,对于油纸绝缘的状态,以往多采用油中溶解气体组分含量或糠醛含量进行评估[1]。而甲醇作为第三代油纸绝缘老化特征物质,早在十几年前,就已经被J JALBERT等[2]证实其与纤维二糖分子链的1,4-β-糖苷键断裂有关。近年来,甲醇又因稳定性好、在绝缘油老化初期含量高、与聚合度相关性强等特点被人们所关注[3-4]
但将甲醇应用于变压器老化状态评估尚处于起步阶段[5]。变压器在复杂的环境中运行时,温度、湿度以及一些老化过程中的产物都会影响甲醇在油纸之间的分布及含量,这对甲醇的检测极为不利。对此,前人已经进行了一些相关研究。ZHANG E等[6]研究了油纸绝缘老化过程中酸对醇类物质的影响,结果表明油纸绝缘老化中后期醇类物质浓度降低,主要原因是醇类物质与环烷酸发生了反应。ZHENG H等[7]通过实验研究了甲醇在绝缘油纸间的吸附平衡过程,结果表明绝缘油纸质量比的增加降低了绝缘纸对甲醇的吸附,使平衡时间延长。而水作为影响甲醇扩散的重要因素,其影响机理尚未明确。水不仅是油纸绝缘老化的产物,而且会积累在绝缘纸和绝缘油中,对油纸绝缘的劣化以及老化产物的扩散和分布产生影响[8-9]。研究表明,植物绝缘油变压器在运行过程中会比矿物绝缘油变压器产生更多的水分,同时植物绝缘油变压器在老化过程中会产生更多的甲醇[4]。甲醇作为极性较强的物质,受同是极性物质的植物绝缘油和水的影响较大。因此,研究植物绝缘油中水分对甲醇扩散的影响有较强的实际意义。
本文通过建立含水量为1.0%、1.5%、3.0%、5.0%的植物绝缘油、甲醇、水混合模型,利用分子动力学模拟研究植物绝缘油中甲醇的扩散变化,解释水促进甲醇扩散的机理,以期为提高植物绝缘油变压器中甲醇浓度检测的准确性以及推动甲醇成为新型油纸绝缘老化状态评估特征物质提供一定的参考依据。
本文构建了由植物绝缘油、甲醇、水3种物质组成的混合模型,如图1所示,图中绿色为甲醇分子,蓝色为水分子,灰色长链为植物绝缘油分子。植物绝缘油模型以文献[10]为基础进行构造。植物绝缘油中的脂肪酸分为饱和脂肪酸和不饱和脂肪酸,其中饱和脂肪酸有两种,分别为棕榈酸和硬脂酸;不饱和脂肪酸有单、双、三不饱和脂肪酸3种,分别为油酸、亚油酸和亚麻酸。在植物绝缘油中,饱和脂肪酸的质量分数为24.7%,单、双、三不饱和脂肪酸质量分数分别为50.3%、20.0%、5.0%。本次仿真依据各种酸所占比例,设置硬脂酸3个、棕榈酸2个、油酸10个、亚油酸4个、亚麻酸1个。利用Forcite模块分别对5种酸分子进行结构优化,待其能量稳定后,使用Amorphous Cell功能按比例混合为植物绝缘油模型。新的绝缘纸板含水量一般低于1%,服役较长时间的绝缘纸板含水量最高可以达到5%[11],故本研究分别在每个模型中加入质量分数为1.0%、1.5%、3.0%、5.0%的水,以模拟不同含水量对甲醇扩散的影响,同时在每个模型中都加入10个甲醇分子。
构建好混合模型后,选用Smart法对其进行结构优化,并在300~900 K使用NVT系综进行5次循环退火,此时模型的能量达到最低。为了提高模型的密度,利用NPT系综在298 K下进行100 ps的动力学模拟,整个系统被平衡到稳定密度(0.9 g/cm3)。将以上模型在与变压器实际工作温度(343 K)接近的NPT系综下进行动力学模拟,模拟时长为300 ps,步长为1 fs。最后,在相同温度下,使用NVT系综进行模拟,模拟时长为500 ps,步长为 1 fs,输出频率为每5 000步输出1次。
整个仿真过程均在Materials Studio软件中完成。其中,模型的构建和分子动力学模拟分别选用AC模块和Forcite模块完成,力场选择COMPASS力场,该力场已被证实适用于有机物和无机物共混系统[12];温度控制采用Andersen方法,压强控制采用Berendsen方法,压强值设为标准大气压;范德华作用力的计算采用AtomBased方法,静电作用的计算采用Ewald法。
通过分子扩散轨迹可以直观地观察到分子的扩散行为,利用perl脚本提取分子动力学过程中甲醇分子质心的xyz坐标值,作出甲醇分子质心扩散轨迹图,如图2所示。
图2中的红色点是甲醇分子质心在空间中的运动轨迹,共计100个点,对应100帧构型。黑色、绿色、蓝色点分别为甲醇分子质心运动轨迹在xy平面、xz平面和yz平面上的投影。从图2可以看出,随着含水量的增加,甲醇分子质心的扩散轨迹在空间中的分布越发分散。
为了量化甲醇在空间中的扩散作用强度,定义变量Td,如式(1)所示。

式(1)中:n为轨迹点的个数;i为帧数;xyz分别为甲醇分子质心所对应的坐标值。
通过计算Td,可以得出甲醇分子每一帧质心运动距离的平均值,从而表征甲醇在植物绝缘油中的扩散效果。经计算,随着含水量的上升,4个模型中的Td值分别为0.745 3、0.764 7、0.818 0、0.916 3,表明含水量的增加促进了甲醇在植物绝缘油中的扩散移动。
甲醇分子在绝缘油中的扩散系数D可以根据式(2)所示爱因斯坦关系式计算。

式(2)中:N是系统中甲醇的分子个数;ri(t)与ri(0)分别表示粒子在t时刻与初始时刻的位置矢量。
均方位移(MSD)可以用来描述粒子的运动状态,它表示粒子扩散至t时刻时,与其初始时刻位置的平均距离。溶液中各组分的MSD可以反映其空间位置与模拟系统中初始位置的偏离程度[13]。将MSD对时间的拟合曲线斜率记作a,扩散系数D的计算可简化为式(3)

图3为不同含水量模型中甲醇分子的MSD曲线,表1为甲醇在不同含水量植物绝缘油中的扩散系数。从图3可以看出,不同含水量模型中甲醇分子的MSD均随时间逐渐增大,并在xyz三个方向表现出扩散随机性。结合图3表1可以看出,随着含水量的上升,MSD曲线的斜率逐渐变大,同时根据MSD斜率拟合出的甲醇扩散系数也逐渐增大。扩散的本质是物质克服自身能量壁垒的过程,甲醇受到的束缚作用越强,越不利于其在植物绝缘油中的扩散。扩散系数的增大说明随着含水量的增加,甲醇受到的束缚作用逐渐减弱。
甲醇分子与模型中其他介质的相互作用能也是影响甲醇扩散的重要因素,相互作用能Eint可通过式(4)计算。

式(4)中:Etotal为整个模型的总能量;EA为甲醇的能量;EB为植物绝缘油和水整体的能量。
用程序提取分子动力学轨迹中每一帧构型的EAEBEtotal,从而计算得到每帧构型中甲醇与其他介质的相互作用能,由此画出不同含水量模型中甲醇与其他介质的相互作用能随时间的变化轨迹如图4所示,其中Etotal表示总的相互作用能,Ev表示范德华能,Ee表示静电势能。
相互作用能为负值表示两种物质之间相互吸引[14]。从图4可以看出,在4个模型中,甲醇分子与植物绝缘油中其他介质总的相互作用能均为负值,且数值在一定范围内波动,说明此时甲醇的扩散运动基本达到了稳定状态。同时还可以看出,随着含水量的增加,总的相互作用能逐渐增大。为了探究内部相互作用能的变化以及相互作用能对甲醇扩散的影响,计算了系统内部介质两两之间的相互作用能。在含有3种不同物质的模型中,可由式(5)计算得到其中两种物质的相互作用能E

例如计算a、b、c构成的模型中a和b的相互作用能时,则式(5)中:ET是模型的总势能;EaEbEc分别是a、b、c的势能;Ea+bEa+cEb+c分别是对应的两种物质的势能和。
利用式(4)分别计算水、植物油和其他物质的相互作用能,再将结果代入到式(5)中,即可计算它们两两之间的相互作用能E
表2为模型内部3种物质之间的相互作用能。从表2可以看出,随着含水量的增加,水与甲醇和植物绝缘油的相互作用能逐渐增大,而甲醇和植物绝缘油的相互作用能逐渐减小。其原因是极性强于甲醇的水分子更易与植物绝缘油之间形成静电吸引作用,随着更多的水与植物绝缘油产生静电作用,甲醇与植物绝缘油的平均相互作用能从-136.8 kal/mol降低到-104.0 kal/mol,从而使甲醇更易挣脱植物绝缘油的束缚,最终导致其在植物绝缘油中的扩散作用增强。
氢键通常在氢原子和相邻的高电负性原子之间形成,这是一种特殊的非键相互作用力[15]。它的本质是原子之间的静电吸引,且具有饱和性和方向性。氢键定义的标准分为能量标准和几何标准。能量标准是根据分子之间相互作用能的值来判断;几何标准是由氢键供体、氢原子和氢键受体之间的几何关系来判断。本次仿真模拟中设置氢键的截断半径为2.4 Å,键角大于90°,并利用几何标准判断氢键能量的变化。利用perl脚本计算模型中的氢键数量并统计氢键的键长、键角。
图5记录了不同含水量模型中总氢键数量 (NHbond)随时间的变化,表3为不同含水量模型中的平均氢键数量。
图5表3可以看出,氢键的数量在模拟过程中随着含水量的增加而增加。植物绝缘油中的羰基可以提供电负性较高的氧原子,与水分子中的氢原子和甲醇羟基中的氢原子形成氢键。同时,水分子中的氢原子也可以与植物绝缘油中的羰基形成氢键。导致极性小于水分子的甲醇与植物绝缘油形成氢键的概率减小,从而减小了甲醇与植物绝缘油的结合能,增强了甲醇在植物绝缘油中的扩散作用。
图6图7分别为不同含水量模型中氢键的键长、键角分布统计图。从图6可以看出,键长分布在1.8 Å附近最多,在最高点左侧,高含水量模型的曲线在低含水量模型的曲线下方,而在最高点右侧,则相反。表明含水量越高,键长越长。从图7可以看出,键角分布在160°附近最多,在最高点左侧,高含水量模型的曲线在低含水量模型的曲线上方,而在最高点右侧,则相反。表明含水量越高,键角越小。总的来说,随含水量的增加,模型中氢键的键长增大,键角减小。根据文献[16]的研究结果,Materials Studio软件中的COMPASS力场是通过综合考虑范德华作用和静电势作用从而实现对氢键的计算。非键能的变化基本取决于范德华能,而关于范德华能的研究表明,氢键的键角越大,势能陷阱越深,氢原子和受体原子越接近,范德华作用能越弱,氢键就越稳定[18]。综上,随着含水量的增加,氢键稳定性降低,甲醇更易挣脱氢键束缚发生扩散。
自由体积也是影响分子扩散行为的参数之一,分子扩散需要足够的空间,自由体积可为分子扩散创造条件。T G FOX等[17]提出的自由体积理论表明,聚合物的总体积(Vt)由占据体积(V0)和未被占据的“空穴”自由体积(Vf)组成。自由体积分数(fraction of free volume,FFV)是自由体积与总体积的比值,如式(6)所示。

用硬球探针法分别测量不同含水量模型内的自由体积,结果如图8所示。图中蓝色部分表示被占据体积,灰色部分表示未被占据体积,即自由体积。表4记录了不同含水量模型的自由体积分数。从图8表4可以看出,随着含水量的增加,模型中的自由体积分数随之增大。
黏度用于表征液体内部物质在流动时所受到的阻力,通过黏度可以很好地解释模型自由体积分数增大的内在原因。Dootlitle建立的黏度与自由体积的关系式如式(7)所示。

式(7)中:n0为黏度;AB为经验常数,B的值约等于1。
式(7)可知,黏度减小时,自由体积随之增大。植物绝缘油黏度较大,加入水分子之后,两者都为极性分子,且植物绝缘油分子量较大,对水分子具有较强的吸引。随含水量的增加,更多的水分被束缚在植物绝缘油中,致使植物绝缘油的黏度减小,流动性增强,自由体积增大,增强了植物绝缘油中甲醇的扩散作用。
通过分子动力学模拟植物绝缘油中水分含量对甲醇扩散的影响,根据相互作用能、氢键、自由体积等参数,从微观角度解释水对甲醇扩散的影响机理,并得出以下结论:
(1)甲醇的扩散受水分的影响较大,随着水分含量的增加,甲醇分子的质心位移和均方位移增大,其在植物绝缘油中的扩散运动更加剧烈。
(2)随着含水量的增加,植物绝缘油与甲醇的相互作用能逐渐减小,从而使甲醇更易挣脱植物绝缘油的束缚,在植物绝缘油中的扩散作用增强。
(3)随着含水量增加,植物绝缘油中氢键的数量显著增加,相应的甲醇与植物绝缘油形成氢键的概率减小。同时随着总体的氢键稳定性下降,甲醇更易脱离氢键的束缚而发生扩散。
(4)随着含水量的增加,更多的水被束缚在植物绝缘油中,植物绝缘油的黏度减小,流动性增强,从而使得甲醇运动的阻力减小,在植物绝缘油中的扩散作用增强。
