Composite insulators are widely used in the field of power grid because of their superior performance. At present, due to the increase of the number of birds, the situation of bird pecking composite insulators is becoming increasingly serious, and the insulator structure is damaged after bird pecking, which will cause power grid line faults. Therefore, this paper studies the effect of bird pecking damage on the performance of composite insulators, and provides reference for power grid operation and maintenance management. Firstly, the mechanical and electrical properties of composite insulator after bird pecking were analyzed by experiments. Then, the effects of different damage proportions and different damage number on the surface electric field strength and pollution flashover voltage of composite insulators were studied by artificial simulation of bird pecking umbrella skirt damage. Finally, the electric erosion test, acid immersion test, and thermal ageing test of composite insulator sheath were carried out to evaluate the effect of sheath damage on the properties of composite insulator. The results show that the structure of the composite insulator is damaged after bird pecking, and its electrical properties, mechanical properties, and anti-fouling properties will be affected. At the same time, after the sheath is damaged, under the joint action of many factors such as local field strength, moisture, acid, discharge heat production, and mechanical stress, the core rod material deteriorates and degrades, the mechanical properties of the core rod decrease, and there is a risk of abnormal fracture of the composite insulator.

复合绝缘子因其性能优越得以在电网领域广泛应用,目前由于鸟类数量增加,鸟啄复合绝缘子的情况日益严重,鸟啄后绝缘子结构遭到破坏,会造成电网线路故障,因此本文研究鸟啄损伤对复合绝缘子性能的影响,为电网运维管理提供参考。首先通过试验对复合绝缘子鸟啄后机电性能进行分析;然后通过人工模拟鸟啄伞裙损伤来研究不同受损占比、不同受损数量对复合绝缘子沿面电场强度与污闪电压的影响;最后开展复合绝缘子护套电蚀损实验、酸浸实验、热老化试验,评估护套损伤对复合绝缘子性能的影响规律。结果表明:鸟啄后复合绝缘子结构遭到破坏,其电气性能、力学性能和防污性能都受到影响,同时护套损伤后,在局部场强、水分、酸、放电产热、机械应力等诸多因素共同作用下,芯棒材料劣化降解,芯棒力学性能下降,存在复合绝缘子异常断裂的风险。

复合绝缘子因其性能优越得以在电网领域广泛应用,目前由于鸟类数量增加,鸟啄复合绝缘子的情况日益严重,鸟啄后绝缘子结构遭到破坏,会造成电网线路故障,因此本文研究鸟啄损伤对复合绝缘子性能的影响,为电网运维管理提供参考。首先通过试验对复合绝缘子鸟啄后机电性能进行分析;然后通过人工模拟鸟啄伞裙损伤来研究不同受损占比、不同受损数量对复合绝缘子沿面电场强度与污闪电压的影响;最后开展复合绝缘子护套电蚀损实验、酸浸实验、热老化试验,评估护套损伤对复合绝缘子性能的影响规律。结果表明:鸟啄后复合绝缘子结构遭到破坏,其电气性能、力学性能和防污性能都受到影响,同时护套损伤后,在局部场强、水分、酸、放电产热、机械应力等诸多因素共同作用下,芯棒材料劣化降解,芯棒力学性能下降,存在复合绝缘子异常断裂的风险。

Composite insulators are widely used in the field of power grid because of their superior performance. At present, due to the increase of the number of birds, the situation of bird pecking composite insulators is becoming increasingly serious, and the insulator structure is damaged after bird pecking, which will cause power grid line faults. Therefore, this paper studies the effect of bird pecking damage on the performance of composite insulators, and provides reference for power grid operation and maintenance management. Firstly, the mechanical and electrical properties of composite insulator after bird pecking were analyzed by experiments. Then, the effects of different damage proportions and different damage number on the surface electric field strength and pollution flashover voltage of composite insulators were studied by artificial simulation of bird pecking umbrella skirt damage. Finally, the electric erosion test, acid immersion test, and thermal ageing test of composite insulator sheath were carried out to evaluate the effect of sheath damage on the properties of composite insulator. The results show that the structure of the composite insulator is damaged after bird pecking, and its electrical properties, mechanical properties, and anti-fouling properties will be affected. At the same time, after the sheath is damaged, under the joint action of many factors such as local field strength, moisture, acid, discharge heat production, and mechanical stress, the core rod material deteriorates and degrades, the mechanical properties of the core rod decrease, and there is a risk of abnormal fracture of the composite insulator.

复合绝缘子具有良好的电气性能、优越的耐电蚀性,在35、110、220 kV线路上应用较多。虽然复合绝缘子运行稳定性良好,但外部环境带来的安全问题不容忽视[1-3]。随着生态环境的改善,鸟类数量增多,输电线路上的复合绝缘子经常出现被鸟啄而导致损伤的现象,传统的电瓷绝缘子和玻璃绝缘子因材质较硬,鸟啄传统绝缘子所造成的损伤程度较小,表面很少出现直接性伤痕[4-5],没有发生过因鸟啄而引起绝缘子出现问题的案例。
复合绝缘子的鸟啄损伤可以分为鸟啄伞裙损伤和鸟啄护套损伤。伞裙是用来缓解外部环境对绝缘子芯棒的影响,但鸟啄后伞裙会产生缺口,甚至产生贯穿性损伤,这种破坏程度改变了绝缘子的结构,极大地影响了绝缘子的电气性能[6-8];复合绝缘子芯棒外包裹着一层绝缘护套,护套与伞裙一同组成绝缘子的外部绝缘结构,护套的存在可以保护芯棒免受潮湿天气的侵蚀,而随着鸟啄现象的发生,绝缘子护套会遭到撕裂,致使芯棒直接与外部环境接触。在外部环境较为湿润的情况下,裸露的芯棒接触潮湿环境会产生局部放电现象,引起安全事故,严重条件下芯棒容易发生脆断等恶性事故。相比较而言,鸟啄护套损伤更加危险,需要严格防范[9-10]
为避免鸟啄复合绝缘子损伤后带来的安全问题,需要对遭受鸟啄受损后的复合绝缘子老化状态进行研究。针对复合绝缘子的老化状态,国内外研究人员采用表面观察、硬度测试、扫描电镜、能谱分析等传统方法进行研究[11-13]。近年来国内外研究人员还提出了基于热刺激电流(TSC)的检测法、傅里叶红外光谱分析法(FTIR)等新型老化状态检测方法[14-16]。文献[17-18]利用紫外成像仪对复合绝缘子污秽、放电和缺陷进行检测,结果表明复合绝缘子电晕放电检测到的光子越多,复合绝缘子老化越严重;文献[19-21]研究了RTV硅橡胶材料的电晕老化并对寿命进行评估,提出红外光谱分析法(FTIR)能评估复合绝缘子的老化状态。类似复合绝缘子老化状态的评估方法较多,但目前对复合绝缘子老化运维开展的研究更多是从复合绝缘子材料、电气性能等角度进行评估,少有针对鸟啄复合绝缘子后护套、伞裙破损所存的问题进行相关研究。并且大多数针对复合绝缘子老化性能的研究只考虑单一特性指标,缺少对绝缘子硅橡胶老化程度、力学性能与电气性能的综合考虑。
基于上述分析,针对当下复合绝缘子长期遭鸟啄后伞裙与护套老化破损的问题,开展鸟啄损伤对复合绝缘子运行性能的影响研究是必要的。本文以上述内容为背景,考虑运行年限、运行环境和鸟啄后本体缺失程度,针对鸟啄复合绝缘子和人工缺陷样品进行力学性能和电气性能试验;针对不同鸟啄后本体缺失程度、缺失部位开展电场仿真,研究鸟啄后复合绝缘子本体电场分布的变化规律;开展人工加速老化试验,研究复合绝缘子护套被鸟啄后,在局部放电、水分、酸、热、机械应力等多种因素长期作用下复合绝缘子长期运行时芯棒裸露对其力学性能的影响。
国内某市电网公司所使用的220 kV输电线路复合绝缘子在实际运行中出现了较为严重的鸟啄情况,本研究从现场抽取4只220 kV典型鸟啄复合绝缘子样品进行性能测试。
对抽取的4只鸟啄复合绝缘子进行外观检查,发现其表面均有一定程度的积污,在端部护套处有严重的啄食情况,导致端部金具清晰可见,密封性能下降。每只复合绝缘子的伞裙部分也有较为严重的鸟啄损伤,每根复合绝缘子伞裙上约有40处啄食伤口。图1为复合绝缘子被鸟啄受损后的实物图。
对抽取的4只鸟啄复合绝缘子伞裙进行邵氏硬度测试,根据GB/T 531.2—2008相关要求,将硬度计压针垂直放置于样品表面且距离其边缘12 mm,其中压针与样品接触面尽可能平实,测量伞裙样品中硅橡胶厚度超过6 mm的位置。选择5处不同位置进行测量,每次沿伞片内侧向外侧测量,各处测量位置的间距为6 mm,测试结果如表1所示。从表1可以看出,从运行线路上抽取的鸟啄复合绝缘子伞裙出现一定程度的硬化情况。
根据GB/T 19519—2014和GB/T 24622—2009的相关要求,对鸟啄复合绝缘子开展憎水性试验,采用喷雾法进行检测,结果如图2所示。从图2可以看出,在复合绝缘子的高压侧、中部、低压侧等位置憎水性能表现大致相同,憎水性等级为HC2~HC3级,表明鸟啄损伤复合绝缘子的憎水性影响程度较弱。
根据GB/T 19519—2014相关要求,对鸟啄复合绝缘子进行额定机械负荷(SML)耐受实验,结果如图3所示。从图3可以看出,实验力由0 kN增大到160 kN,经过150 s后,对接受实验的复合绝缘子样品进行检查,未发现损伤情况。根据GB/T 775.2—2003相关要求,对鸟啄复合绝缘子开展交流耐压测试,对电压等级为220 kV的受损绝缘子施加450 kV工频电压,通过测试发现受损绝缘子表面未出现击穿与闪络现象,受损绝缘子通过耐压检测。
统计发现棒形悬式复合绝缘子高压端伞裙受鸟啄现象较为严重,大部分集中于绝缘子前置位伞裙,被鸟啄后的伞裙受损部位主要表现为弧状缺口。据统计绝缘子每组伞裙被鸟啄的缺口一般在4处以内,所造成的损伤占比为14%[22-24]
采用人工模拟鸟啄伞裙损伤来研究鸟啄复合绝缘子的电气性能。人工模拟步骤为:首先选择受损伞裙,受损缺口为弧状;确定受损数量x与破坏程度y%,其中x一般取4,y%为损伤面积占比,x1为第1处损伤,破坏程度为y1%;x2为第2处损伤,损伤面积占比为(y1/2)%;x3为第3处损伤,损伤面积占比为(y1/3)%;x4为第4处损伤,损伤面积占比为(y1/4)%。对确定好的受损伞裙进行人工破坏后完成模拟,人工模拟步骤如图4所示。
对FXBW-35/70型电压等级为35 kV、FXBW4-110/120型电压等级为110 kV、FXBW4-220/100型电压等级为220 kV的棒形悬式复合绝缘子采用上述人工模拟步骤破坏伞裙来进一步研究复合绝缘子的性能变化。其中被模拟破坏后的绝缘子参数如表2所示,图5为3种电压等级复合绝缘子各伞裙同一位置处模拟受损的实物图。从图5可以看出,各伞裙均为相同部位受损,但受损程度不同。
将3种不同型号不同电压等级的棒形悬式复合绝缘子进行人工模拟鸟啄伞裙损伤,对模拟后的复合绝缘子开展电场强度仿真分析,针对破坏程度一致但受损数量不同的绝缘子进行研究。
对损伤面积占比为14%的3种不同电压等级复合绝缘子进行电场强度仿真,得到复合绝缘子沿面距离不同处的电场强度,研究复合绝缘子每组伞裙受损数量不同时的电场分布特性,仿真结果如图6所示。
图6可以看出,随着电压等级的增加,复合绝缘子沿面电场强度的波动幅度变大;相同电压等级的复合绝缘子随着伞裙受损数量的增加,沿面电场强度的变化幅度较小,基本无差异;不同电压等级的绝缘子沿面距离越小电场强度越大,电场强度最大值位于绝缘子高压段侧。
为进一步研究破坏程度一致但受损数量不同的复合绝缘子电场分布特性,仿真分析损伤面积占比为14%的3种不同电压等级绝缘子沿面电场强度的最大值,结果如图7所示。
图7中可以看出,相较完好的复合绝缘子,伞裙受损的绝缘子沿面电场强度最大值增大,如35 kV复合绝缘子在受损数量为1~4处时的电场强度最大值分别为3.45、3.43、3.40、3.38 kV/cm,比完好的复合绝缘子电场强度分别增大了0.06、0.05、0.04、0.03 kV/cm,这是复合绝缘子在受损后高低压间的电容降低导致的,同时随着受损数量的增加,电场强度的增幅减小,这是由于在受损面积占比一定的情况下,鸟啄受损数量越多,复合绝缘子高低压间的电容下降幅度越小。
图7还可以看出,随着受损数量的增加,绝缘子沿面电场强度的最大值有所下降,并且随着复合绝缘子电压等级的增加,受损数量的变化对复合绝缘子电场强度的影响明显减弱。如图7受损数量为1处时,不同电压等级绝缘子的电场强度分别最大值为3.45、2.98、4.09 kV/cm,当受损数量到达4处时,电场强度最大值分别下降了1.45%、0.64%、0.47%。主要是因为高电压等级的绝缘子一般为维持其电气性能稳定性,会在高压端加上均压环,使得电压等级与结构高度均增加,绝缘子的电场分布得以改善。
一般而言,复合绝缘子会因外部环境造成其表面产生湿润的导电性污层,从而使得复合绝缘子表面电流增加,闪络电压下降。鸟啄伞裙后复合绝缘子表面的爬电距离发生改变,导致复合绝缘子表面污闪特性受到影响。
下面对人工模拟鸟啄伞裙对复合绝缘子交流污闪性能的影响进行研究,选择污秽程度ESDD=0.1 mg/cm2,损伤面积占比分别为6%、14%、28%的3种不同电压等级复合绝缘子进行仿真分析,研究不同损伤面积占比与不同受损数量的复合绝缘子污闪电压的变化。
复合绝缘子的爬电距离可以由复合绝缘子承载运行电压的两个导电部件间沿绝缘表面的最短距离来表示,由于鸟啄伞裙会导致复合绝缘子损伤,使爬电距离发生变化,鸟啄前后爬电距离的变化值即为缩短的爬电距离,也称“缩爬距离”,下面的研究中复合绝缘子不同损伤面积占比用缩爬距离表示。
选择受损数量为1处的3种不同电压等级复合绝缘子进行仿真,研究不同缩爬距离对复合绝缘子表面污闪电压造成的影响,其中不同缩爬距离表示绝缘子不同的损伤面积占比,仿真结果如图8所示。
图8可以看出,随着伞裙受损面积占比的增加,复合绝缘子的污闪电压逐渐降低,如220 kV复合绝缘子在缩爬距离分别为148.5、289.5、520.2 mm时的污闪电压比无损时复合绝缘子的污闪电压分别下降了14.36、22.98、31.58 kV。主要原因是鸟啄伞裙受损后,随着受损面积占比的增加,复合绝缘子表面的受损缺口变大,使得表面爬电距离减小,造成污闪电压下降,同时鸟啄后伞裙缺口处电场分布特性会产生畸变,使得绝缘子的污闪电压降低。
选择污秽度ESDD=0.1 mg/cm2、损伤面积占比为14%的3种不同电压等级复合绝缘子进行仿真,研究不同受损数量对绝缘子表面污闪电压造成的影响,仿真结果如图9所示。
图9可以看出,在鸟啄复合绝缘子受损面积占比一定的情况下,随着受损数量的增加,复合绝缘子污闪电压的变化程度降低,接近伞裙无损时的污闪电压值。如35 kV复合绝缘子在受损位置为1~4处时的污闪电压分别为285.13、288.68、293.20、295.47 kV,与35 kV复合绝缘子在无损时的闪络电压值(300 kV)相比分别下降了14.87、11.32、6.80、4.53 kV。主要是因为随着受损数量的增加,复合绝缘子表面爬电距离下降的程度减缓,同时由于损伤面积占比一定,受损数量的增加造成伞裙缺口处电场分布特性的畸变程度减小。
在复合绝缘子实际运行过程中,护套一旦被鸟啄出现损伤,芯棒会直接暴露在空气中。鸟啄部位会引起电场畸变,导致局部场强升高,存在闪络的风险[10,25]。本文开展护套破损后的复合绝缘子老化研究,重点针对电、热、酸3种因素开展人工加速芯棒老化试验。
利用盐雾条件下电蚀损的方式在实验室人工模拟鸟啄后护套裸露的绝缘子芯棒及交界面劣化情况,人工模拟护套损伤复合绝缘子样品如图10所示。
对护套部分缺失的短样品在10 kV高压下进行电蚀损试验,在电导率为2 mS/cm的盐雾中试验 30 h后,得到芯棒试验前后的表面形貌如图11所示。从图11可以看出,当护套出现缺损时,芯棒表面出现的电蚀损缺陷较为明显。护套保护的芯棒具有较强的抗蚀损能力,护套包覆越多,蚀损程度越小。考虑到工程实际,在线运行的复合绝缘子往往时间跨度长,实际承受的电压等级高,局部场强大,放电能量也比实验室中的模拟试验高得多,因此即使是现场发现的较小的护套损伤,在工况下长期运行也有可能逐步发展为为明显的缺陷,应当引起重视。
对受到酸蚀后芯棒的老化特性进行研究,将芯棒浸入不同浓度的硝酸中,为防止硝酸挥发,使用平口烧杯盛放硝酸,烧杯口使用玻璃板盖住,并使用硅脂和硅橡胶进一步密封接触面的缝隙,最后将密封好的烧杯避光保存。不同浓度硝酸浸泡后的芯棒表面形貌如图12所示。从图12可以看出,当硝酸浓度较低时(1 mol/L),芯棒表面仅有轻微变色,但材料无明显劣化痕迹。当硝酸浓度达到 5 mol/L时,芯棒表层明显发黄、酥化,酥化深度约为1 mm,可以轻易剥离下来。随着硝酸浓度的增加,表层酥化深度增加。
为了分析酸蚀对芯棒力学性能的影响,将芯棒样品长期(30天)浸泡在浓硝酸中,之后测试其应力-应变曲线。为了使酸液充分浸润芯棒,根据GB/T 1040.4—2006相关要求,将芯棒中部加工成截面为矩形的细条,中间较细部分尺寸为2 mm×2 mm,长度为40 mm,形貌如图13所示。
酸蚀芯棒力学性能测试结果如图14所示。从图14可以看出,经过长期酸蚀后芯棒的拉伸断裂应力为1 130 MPa左右,与正常芯棒的拉伸断裂应力相比略有下降,但远高于复合绝缘子额定载荷对应的拉伸应力值(524 MPa),说明酸浸30天后的芯棒力学性能仍能满足运行要求。但在放电、机械应力共同作用下,经过长时间的酸性介质侵蚀后,在线运行的复合绝缘子存在断串的风险。
鸟啄后芯棒局部放电可能引起异常温升的问题应受到重视。在前面的电蚀损实验中,由于实验室内电源电压等级远低于实际运行的电压等级,且为了加速老化,人为剪除的护套面积过大,使得放电释放的热不能很好地累积,因此未能观察到异常温升现象。本实验单独考察高温对于芯棒的劣化作用。
分别在300、400、500℃下加热芯棒3 h,高温处理后芯棒的形貌如图15所示。从图15可以看出,当温度由300℃升至500℃时,芯棒表面老化程度明显加深。
为了分析高温处理对芯棒材料的影响,通过傅里叶红外光谱测试了高温处理前后芯棒的化学成分变化,结果如图16所示。
图16可以看出,热处理前后各样品红外吸收峰的差异主要集中在波数为2 000~500 cm-1范围内。由图16(b)可知,高温处理后芯棒对应醚键的吸收峰(波数为1 245 cm-1)明显低于正常芯棒。在波数为1 050~750 cm-1、500~400 cm-1范围内,高温处理后芯棒的吸收峰高于正常芯棒。
为了使芯棒受热均匀,使用温度可控的加热线圈对芯棒进行加热,并通过接触式温度计测试芯棒表面的实际温度,分别在9种高温下对芯棒样品进行5、25、50、100、200、300、400 h的长时间高温处理,然后在万能试验机上测试芯棒的拉伸性能,绘制应力-应变曲线。为了减少试验结果的误差,每种温度、加热时间组合下试验的芯棒样品数量为3支,不同温度下高温处理5 h后芯棒的力学性能试验结果如图17所示。从图17可以看出,随着温度的升高,芯棒的拉伸应力峰值越来越低,拉伸应力下降速度变快,这表明温度越高,芯棒拉伸强度越低。
图18为对不同温度下高温处理5、25、50、100、200、300、400 h后芯棒的拉伸断裂应力测试结果。从图18可以看出,芯棒的拉伸断裂应力与温度、加热时间相关。当加热温度低于240℃时,芯棒样品的拉伸断裂应力在经过400 h的高温处理后无明显下降,当温度达到260℃时,加热5 h后芯棒样品的拉伸断裂应力降为920 MPa左右。这表明加热温度越高、加热时间越长,芯棒的拉伸断裂应力越小。随加热时间的增加,芯棒的拉伸断裂应力下降速度逐渐变缓,而随着温度的升高,芯棒的拉伸断裂应力快速下降,当加热温度为360℃时,经过5 h的加热,芯棒的拉伸断裂应力已经降到300 MPa左右,而对于额定载荷为240 kN的500 kV复合绝缘子,其芯棒的额定机械应力为530.7 MPa,可以发现芯棒的机械应力已经无法满足运行要求。
(1)鸟啄后复合绝缘子端部金具清晰可见,密封性能下降,伞裙出现硬化情况,复合绝缘子表面憎水性能良好;在额定机械负荷下对鸟啄复合绝缘子开展150 s的负荷耐受检测,样品通过检测;对鸟啄样品进行450 kV电压的交流耐压试验,样品通过试验,机电性能保持良好,交流耐压能力满足设备运行需求。
(2)鸟啄复合绝缘子伞裙受损后会使其沿面电场强度最大值增加,污闪电压下降;当复合绝缘子受损面积占比一定时,随着受损数量的增加,沿面电场强度最大值增幅减小,交流污闪电压下降程度减小;复合绝缘子外部结构越高、电压等级越大时,伞裙受损对沿面电场强度最大值和交流污闪电压的影响逐渐越弱。
(3)提出护套损伤对交界面性能的影响较大,硅橡胶护套防透水性能较弱,护套未受损时在芯棒缺陷条件下仍有水分侵入风险,在局部放电、水分、酸、热、机械应力等多种因素长期作用下局部发热风险进一步加剧,存在芯棒材料老化、力学性能下降的可能,严重时可能引起断串,需要在运行时特别关注。
