A series of HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA fluorinated phenyl ether-containing polyimide films were prepared using 2,2-bis [4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl] hexafluoropropane (HFBAPP) as the diamine monomer, 2,2′-bis (3,4-dicarboxylic acid) hexafluoropropane dianhydride (6FDA) and bisphenol A-type diether dianhydride (BPADA) as the dianhydride monomer. The effects of ether bond and trifluoromethyl on the comprehensive performance of polyimide films were analyzed and compared by changing the ratio of dianhydride monomer. The results show that with the increase of trifluoromethyl content and the decrease of ether bond content, the optical and thermal properties of the HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA fluorophenyl ether-containing polyimide films increase, while the mechanical properties decrease, the glass transition temperature can reach 247.3℃, the residual carbon rate at 800℃ can reach 56.3%, the maximum transmittance in the visible range is 88.2%, and the maximum tensile strength is 84.7 MPa.

以2,2-双[4-(4-氨基苯氧基)苯基]六氟丙烷(HFBAPP)为二胺单体,2,2′-双(3,4-二羧酸)六氟丙烷二酐(6FDA)和双酚A型二醚二酐(BPADA)为二酐单体制备了一系列HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA含氟苯醚型PI薄膜。通过改变二酐单体比例,分析比较醚键与三氟甲基对PI薄膜综合性能的影响。结果表明:随着三氟甲基含量的升高和醚键含量的降低,HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA含氟苯醚型PI薄膜的光学性能和热学性能提高,而力学性能下降,玻璃化转变温度最高可达247.3℃,800℃时的残炭率最高可达56.3%,可见光范围内的透光率最高可达88.2%,拉伸强度最高可达84.7 MPa。

以2,2-双[4-(4-氨基苯氧基)苯基]六氟丙烷(HFBAPP)为二胺单体,2,2′-双(3,4-二羧酸)六氟丙烷二酐(6FDA)和双酚A型二醚二酐(BPADA)为二酐单体制备了一系列HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA含氟苯醚型PI薄膜。通过改变二酐单体比例,分析比较醚键与三氟甲基对PI薄膜综合性能的影响。结果表明:随着三氟甲基含量的升高和醚键含量的降低,HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA含氟苯醚型PI薄膜的光学性能和热学性能提高,而力学性能下降,玻璃化转变温度最高可达247.3℃,800℃时的残炭率最高可达56.3%,可见光范围内的透光率最高可达88.2%,拉伸强度最高可达84.7 MPa。

A series of HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA fluorinated phenyl ether-containing polyimide films were prepared using 2,2-bis [4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl] hexafluoropropane (HFBAPP) as the diamine monomer, 2,2′-bis (3,4-dicarboxylic acid) hexafluoropropane dianhydride (6FDA) and bisphenol A-type diether dianhydride (BPADA) as the dianhydride monomer. The effects of ether bond and trifluoromethyl on the comprehensive performance of polyimide films were analyzed and compared by changing the ratio of dianhydride monomer. The results show that with the increase of trifluoromethyl content and the decrease of ether bond content, the optical and thermal properties of the HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA fluorophenyl ether-containing polyimide films increase, while the mechanical properties decrease, the glass transition temperature can reach 247.3℃, the residual carbon rate at 800℃ can reach 56.3%, the maximum transmittance in the visible range is 88.2%, and the maximum tensile strength is 84.7 MPa.

聚酰亚胺(PI)具有良好的综合性能,特别是优异的耐高低温稳定性和光学性能,在航空航天、微电子和燃料电池等领域得到了广泛应用[1-2]。传统的芳香族聚酰亚胺分子链间存在电荷转移络合物(CTC)效应,所得薄膜的颜色较深,光学透明性较低,限制了其在柔性光电显示器件领域的应用。因此,如何提高光学透明性成为聚酰亚胺开发研究的热点之一。大量研究证明[3-6],在PI分子结构中引入含氟基团、非共轭基团(醚键、脂环结构等)、大取代基团、不对称和刚性非共平面结构,可有效降低分子链内/间的相互作用力,从而抑制或减少分子间或分子内CTC的形成,提高PI薄膜的光学性能,但同时也会在一定程度上损害PI材料的其他性能。引入的基团种类和数量对PI材料的综合性能也有很大的影响。目前针对透明聚酰亚胺的研究工作主要集中两个方面:一是开发新型单体,将某个基团引入PI中,研究其对PI性能的影响[7-8];二是通过共聚将多个基团引入PI中,协同调控PI材料的综合性能[9-11]
本研究以2,2-双[4-(4-氨基苯氧基)苯基]六氟丙烷(HFBAPP)为二胺单体,同时选用与HFBAPP结构相似的双酚A型二醚二酐(BPADA)和2,2′-双(3,4-二羧酸)六氟丙烷二酐(6FDA)为二酐单体进行共聚,将柔性基团醚键和强吸电子基团三氟甲基引入PI结构中,制备含氟苯醚型PI薄膜,通过改变二酐单体比例,调控PI分子中醚键和三氟甲基的含量,分析比较两种基团对PI薄膜光学性能、热学性能、力学性能的影响,为透明聚酰亚胺薄膜的分子结构设计提供参考。
HFBAPP(纯度为97%)、6FDA(纯度为98%)、BPADA(纯度为97%),上海麦克林生化科技有限公司;N,N-二甲基乙酰胺(DMAC),化学纯,西陇科学股份有限公司。
称取一定量的HFBAPP缓慢加入到装有DMAC的聚合瓶中,在氮气保护下搅拌至其完全溶解,分批加入6FDA和BPADA,继续搅拌至反应充分后,得到粘稠状均相透明的黄色聚酰胺酸(PAA)溶液,体系固含量控制为25%。HFBAPP、6FDA及BPADA 3种单体的摩尔配比如表1所示。
将PAA溶液用刮刀均匀地涂在干净的玻璃板上,按照程序50℃/0.5 h+80℃/0.5 h+120℃/0.5 h+150℃/0.5 h+200℃/1 h+250℃/1 h对其进行热亚胺化,待烘箱温度降至室温后取出玻璃板,并将其浸泡于盛有热水的托盘中进行脱膜,然后将薄膜置于100℃环境下烘干,得到HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA聚酰亚胺薄膜,合成反应方程式如图1所示。
(1)傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR):使用美国赛默飞世尔科技公司的Nicolet iS10型傅里叶红外光谱仪进行测试,扫描次数为32次,分辨率为4 cm-1
(2)差示扫描量热分析(DSC):使用美国TA INSTRUMENTS公司的DSC Q2000型差示扫描量热分析仪对聚酰亚胺薄膜的玻璃化转变温度进行测定,测试温度为25~500℃,样品质量为5~10 mg,N2氛围,N2流速为50 mL/min,升温速率为5℃/min。
(3)热失重分析(TGA):使用美国TA INSTRUMENTS公司的GA Q5000型热重分析仪进行测试,测试温度为25~800℃,升温速率为20℃/min,N2氛围,N2流速为20 mL/min。
(4)紫外-可见光谱(UV-Vis):采用尤尼柯(上海)仪器有限公司的UV-4802H型紫外可见分光光度计进行测试,薄膜厚度约为20 μm,测试波长为190~1 100 nm。
(5)力学性能:使用高铁检测仪器(东莞)有限公司的AI-7000SU型伺服控制拉力试验机根据GB 13022—1991进行测试,试样尺寸为50 mm×20 mm,拉伸速率为10 mm/min。
图2为经亚胺化的6种HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA聚酰亚胺薄膜的FTIR图。从图2可以看出,6种薄膜的红外曲线上均显示出聚酰亚胺的特征峰:在1 785 cm-1与1 720 cm-1附近出现酰亚胺环上羰基(C=O)的不对称和对称伸缩振动峰,1 350 cm-1附近出现酰亚胺环上C-N键的伸缩振动峰,720 cm-1附近出现酰亚胺环的弯曲振动峰[12],说明本研究成功合成了HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA聚酰亚胺薄膜。由于6种薄膜的二胺单体均为HFBAPP,其红外光谱在1 200 cm-1和1 170 cm-1附近均出现C-F键的伸缩振动吸收峰,1 240 cm-1处出现芳醚键的不对称伸缩振动吸收峰,1 013 cm-1处出现芳醚键的对称伸缩振动吸收峰。随着配方中BPADA含量的提高,HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA聚酰亚胺分子结构中的-CH3含量逐渐增多,在1 470 cm-1处出现的C-H弯曲振动峰强度逐渐加强。
6种HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA聚酰亚胺薄膜的DSC曲线如图3所示。从图3可以看出,6种薄膜的Tg均处于200.8~247.3℃范围内,通过对比可以看出,薄膜的Tg随结构中6FDA含量的提高而升高。这是因为BPADA单体中含有两个醚键柔性基团,旋转灵活,链段运动阻力小,所需的能量低,当温度升高时,分子链容易旋转而引发链段运动。虽然三氟甲基的存在可以增大PI分子间的自由体积,使Tg降低,但6FDA中高度对称的六氟异丙基结构具有较大的位阻作用,使得单键旋转壁垒增大,链段运动需要更多的能量[13]。因此,当PI结构中BPADA含量降低,6FDA含量升高时,薄膜的Tg随之升高。由此可见,相比于醚键,三氟甲基的引入对保持PI薄膜的耐热性更具优势。
图4为6种HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA聚酰亚胺薄膜的热失重曲线图,表2为热失重相关数据。从图4表2可以看出,6种薄膜的5%失重温度(T5%)均不低于485℃,10%失重温度(T10%)不低于503℃,800℃时残炭率在50%以上,均表现出良好的热稳定性。随着二酐单体中6FDA和BPADA比例的变化,各薄膜的热失重温度差距很小,说明醚键和三氟甲基对PI薄膜热稳定性的影响差异不大。6种薄膜在800℃时的残炭率均低于薄膜的碳含量(PI-1~PI-6薄膜的碳含量依次为67.0%、65.2%、63.3%、59.4%、57.4%);残炭率呈先增大后减小趋势,与6种薄膜碳含量逐渐降低的趋势不符,这可能是由于醚键裂解后产生了CO2[14],带走了体系中一部分的碳原子,随着BPADA含量的降低,被带走的碳原子量下降,因此残炭率表现出短暂的上升趋势。
图5为6种HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA聚酰亚胺薄膜的紫外-可见光谱,相关数据如表3所示。由图5表3可知,6种HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA聚酰亚胺薄膜具有良好的光学性能,最大透过率均高于80%。将厚度同为20 μm的6种HFBAPP/6FDA/BPAD聚酰亚胺薄膜进行比较,可以看出薄膜颜色由黄色逐渐变浅至淡黄色,透明度逐渐提高,说明相比于BPADA,提高6FDA的含量更有利于淡化薄膜颜色,提高透明度。这是由于随着配方中单体6FDA含量的提高,分子链中大侧基三氟甲基的含量随之提高,氟原子的高电负性可以有效切断PI分子中电子云的共轭,不仅如此,三氟甲基的存在使得分子链的弯曲和扭曲程度提高,阻碍了电子转移络合物沿分子链的流动,两者均可减弱分子间电荷转移络合物的作用[15-17],从而使薄膜具有较高的透明度和较浅的颜色。
6种HFBAPP/6FDA/BPAD-PI薄膜的力学性能测试结果如图6所示。由图6可知,随着6FDA含量的升高和BPADA含量的降低,PI薄膜的拉伸强度不断降低。主要有两个原因:一是氟原子的高电负性会降低电子云密度,使得反应单体的活性下降,在相同条件下,氟含量越高,反应活性越低,所制得的PI分子量越低,薄膜的拉伸强度越低[18];二是6FDA中大体积六氟异丙基的电子诱导效应和空间位阻效应会阻碍分子链的排布与规整性,降低薄膜的拉伸强度。而BPADA中含有两个柔性醚键,分子更易旋转,柔性醚键的不断增加使聚酰亚胺分子链间相互缠结,形成物理交联结构以及有序结构的固定作用[19],使薄膜在受到外力作用时能够通过分子链的伸展来消耗能量,韧性得到提高。因此,随着6FDA含量的升高和BPADA含量的降低,薄膜的拉伸强度降低。
经两步法成功制备了6种HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA含氟苯醚型PI薄膜,通过改变两种二酐单体的含量,对比分析醚键和三氟甲基对PI薄膜综合性能的影响,主要得到以下结论:
(1)三氟甲基具有大体积位阻效应,可限制分子链段运动,在含氟苯醚型PI中三氟甲基含量越高,醚键含量越低,薄膜的Tg越高。
(2)含氟苯醚型PI具有良好的光学透明性,透过率均达80%以上,相比于醚键,三氟甲基对PI光学透明度的提升效果更显著。
(3)三氟甲基的强吸电子效应使得6FDA的反应活性低于BPADA,含氟量高的HFBAPP/6FDA/BPADA分子量低,力学性能低。
