EVA resin insulating blankets are widely used in distribution network non-stop operations, and they often suffer from thermal melting and mechanical damage under high temperature and high load conditions, which will lead to insulation failure. In order to analyze the effect of high temperature on the mechanical properties of EVA insulating blankets, EVA insulating blankets were conducted tensile test, X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMA) analysis at different temperatures, and their mechanical properties and aggregated structure changes at high temperatures were characterized by parameters such as elongation at break, tensile strength, and storage modulus. The results show that with the increase of temperature, the crystal type in the structure of EVA insulating blanket remains unchanged, and the crystallinity tends to increase, the grain size in the main crystallization area decreases at first and then increases, and the corresponding grain spacing gradually increases, which results in the elongation at break of EVA insulating blanket showing the trend of increasing at first and then decreasing. However, the tensile strength of EVA insulating blanket tends to decrease. Under high temperature, the storage modulus of EVA insulating blanket shows a decreasing trend, which indicates that the EVA insulating blanket is less resilient and less rigid under high temperature, and 40℃ is an appropriate operating temperature for the EVA insulating blanket.

EVA树脂绝缘毯在配网带电作业中得到了广泛应用,其在高温高负荷条件下常出现热熔、机械损伤而导致绝缘失效。为了分析高温对EVA绝缘毯力学性能的影响,在不同温度下对EVA绝缘毯进行拉伸测试、差示扫描量热分析(DSC)、X射线衍射分析(XRD)及动态热机械分析(DMA),采用断裂伸长率、拉断力及储能模量等参数表征高温下EVA绝缘毯的力学性能与聚集态结构的变化。结果表明:随着温度的升高,EVA绝缘毯结构中的晶体类型不变,结晶度呈现上升趋势,主结晶区晶粒尺寸先减小后增大,相应的晶粒间距逐渐增大,致使EVA树脂绝缘毯的断裂伸长率呈现先增大后减小趋势,但其拉断力呈现下降趋势;在高温作用下,EVA绝缘毯的储能模量呈现下降趋势,表明EVA树脂绝缘毯在高温下回弹性能较差、刚性较弱,40℃是EVA树脂绝缘毯适宜的运行温度。

EVA树脂绝缘毯在配网带电作业中得到了广泛应用,其在高温高负荷条件下常出现热熔、机械损伤而导致绝缘失效。为了分析高温对EVA绝缘毯力学性能的影响,在不同温度下对EVA绝缘毯进行拉伸测试、差示扫描量热分析(DSC)、X射线衍射分析(XRD)及动态热机械分析(DMA),采用断裂伸长率、拉断力及储能模量等参数表征高温下EVA绝缘毯的力学性能与聚集态结构的变化。结果表明:随着温度的升高,EVA绝缘毯结构中的晶体类型不变,结晶度呈现上升趋势,主结晶区晶粒尺寸先减小后增大,相应的晶粒间距逐渐增大,致使EVA树脂绝缘毯的断裂伸长率呈现先增大后减小趋势,但其拉断力呈现下降趋势;在高温作用下,EVA绝缘毯的储能模量呈现下降趋势,表明EVA树脂绝缘毯在高温下回弹性能较差、刚性较弱,40℃是EVA树脂绝缘毯适宜的运行温度。

EVA resin insulating blankets are widely used in distribution network non-stop operations, and they often suffer from thermal melting and mechanical damage under high temperature and high load conditions, which will lead to insulation failure. In order to analyze the effect of high temperature on the mechanical properties of EVA insulating blankets, EVA insulating blankets were conducted tensile test, X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMA) analysis at different temperatures, and their mechanical properties and aggregated structure changes at high temperatures were characterized by parameters such as elongation at break, tensile strength, and storage modulus. The results show that with the increase of temperature, the crystal type in the structure of EVA insulating blanket remains unchanged, and the crystallinity tends to increase, the grain size in the main crystallization area decreases at first and then increases, and the corresponding grain spacing gradually increases, which results in the elongation at break of EVA insulating blanket showing the trend of increasing at first and then decreasing. However, the tensile strength of EVA insulating blanket tends to decrease. Under high temperature, the storage modulus of EVA insulating blanket shows a decreasing trend, which indicates that the EVA insulating blanket is less resilient and less rigid under high temperature, and 40℃ is an appropriate operating temperature for the EVA insulating blanket.

乙烯-醋酸乙烯共聚物(ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer,EVA)是在乙烯中引入醋酸乙烯单体共同反应形成的聚合物,具有可降低材料高结晶度,提高柔韧性、抗冲击性等特点,其性能主要取决于醋酸乙烯的含量,被广泛应用于发泡材料、功能性薄膜、电线电缆、太阳能电池胶膜等领域[1]。其中EVA绝缘毯类绝缘遮蔽用具常在带电作业中使用[2],但在高温高负荷条件下,该材料可能会出现热熔现象,从而降低其在带电作业时的绝缘与力学性能。对此,研究温度对EVA绝缘毯微观结构与宏观力学性能的影响,可为明确其使用温度和配方优化提供参考,对确保带电作业人员和设备的安全具有重要意义。
目前EVA树脂在光伏、包装等领域得到了广泛应用,国内外学者对如何提高EVA的力学、抗老化和加工等性能方面开展了大量的研究[3-5]。李曼等[6]通过添加无机盐来改善乙烯-醋酸乙烯共聚物纳米纤维静电纺丝时的难题,可有效提高材料的力学性能;蒋丽萍等[7]采用预辐照与悬浮接枝聚合技术将乙烯-醋酸乙烯共聚物接枝到聚苯乙烯共聚物上,提高了复合材料的抗老化性及加工性能;李素圆等[8]研究了热塑性聚酰胺弹性体改性对EVA复合发泡材料发泡性能及力学性能的影响。目前高温对聚合物材料力学性能的影响表征手段宏观上主要采用拉伸试验来表征,微观特性的表征手段,可以从材料的分子或结构来解释温度对力学性能、老化性能及绝缘性能的影响[9-10]。陈炯等[11]利用X射线衍射研究了纳米SiOx/LDPE聚合物复合材料的结晶状态,发现纳米SiOx的添加导致结晶度变大,晶粒的尺寸呈先减小后增大的趋势。文献[12-13]通过动态热机械分析研究了高分子聚合物的热学与力学性能。目前针对EVA绝缘毯在不同温度下聚集态结构及力学性能的表征研究较少,而研究高温下EVA绝缘毯聚集态结构及对力学性能影响的表征方法具有重要意义。
本文以EVA绝缘毯为研究对象,通过拉伸测试、X射线衍射分析及动态热机械分析等试验分析高温下EVA绝缘毯的微观结构和力学性能变化,并分析温度对降低EVA绝缘毯力学性能的微观机制,对确定绝缘毯的使用温度、老化评估以及配方改进具有参考意义,可有效提高其使用寿命及确保带电作业人员和设备的安全。
试验采用日本Y.S型EVA绝缘毯,它是一种便携式绝缘遮蔽用具,常用于带电作业中对带电体和接地体进行绝缘遮蔽。由于80%以上的作业时间不超过1 h,为了评估短时高温对其结构及力学性能的影响,根据作业时温度范围及时长,分别将EVA绝缘毯放入温度为20、40、60、80℃的高温试验箱中处理1 h。
采用德国耐驰STA449F5型同步热分析仪,分析不同温度下EVA绝缘毯的熔融特性,以5 min/℃的升温速率从20℃升至200℃,试验样品质量为5 mg,测试环境为氮气气氛。
采用日本理学ULTIMA IV型X射线衍射仪,分析经过不同温度下预处理EVA绝缘毯的聚集态结构变化。试验参数:范围为5~90°,步长为0.2°;仪器参数:Cu靶,波长为0.154 nm,管电压为40 kV,电流为40 mA。
采用德国DOIL/冠腾DDL100型电子万能试验机进行试验,从绝缘毯的4个角分别切下4个哑铃型测试样品,哑铃型裁剪样品如图1所示,裁刀符合DL/T 803—2015的要求[14]。拉断伸长率定义为拉断时两印记之间的距离LL0的百分比,如式(1)所示。

式(1)中:L0为拉断前两印记线之间的距离,mm;L为拉断时两印记线之间的距离,mm。
采用德国耐驰NETZSCH DMA 242E型动态热机械分析仪,分析EVA绝缘毯力学性能与温度之间的关系,采用拉伸夹具测量,频率为1 Hz,循环应变为45 μm,样品尺寸为14.9 mm×2.7 mm,升温速率为3.0℃/min,温度从25℃升至90℃。
图2为不同温度下EVA绝缘毯的DSC升温曲线,其相关热参数列于表1,其中∆Hf为熔融焓,Tm为吸热峰峰值,Tc为放热峰峰值,∆T=Tm-Tc为过冷度,与结晶率成反比[15]。通过图2可知,EVA绝缘毯在40℃、60℃温度下的DSC曲线中出现两个吸热峰,且每个吸热峰的峰值随热处理温度的升高向低温方向移动,当温度为80℃时,EVA绝缘毯只有一个吸收峰,且峰值也向低温方向移动。分析认为,EVA绝缘毯在低温下其低分子量的晶体先发生熔融,当温度升高时大分子量的晶体开始熔融,使得EVA绝缘毯在80℃高温下仅出现一个吸热峰,且80℃下的吸收峰面积相比40℃、60℃时更大,由表1中∆Hf数值可知,其熔融所需要的能量更多[16]。根据EVA绝缘毯在不同温度作用下的DSC参数计算结晶度,如式(2)所示。

式(2)中:∆Hf为熔融焓;∆Hf0为结晶度为100%时的等效熔融焓,其值为277 J/g[17]
通过表1可知,EVA绝缘毯的结晶度随热处理温度的升高而上升,但温度越高结晶速度会随之下降,这会影响EVA绝缘毯的力学性能。由图2可知,EVA绝缘毯的玻璃化转变温度在80℃左右,当热处理温度低于玻璃化转变温度时,其结构中小分子链在温度作用下有利于形成次级结晶,当热处理温度高于玻璃化转变温度时,温度过高会破坏高分子的有序排列,当温度升高至更高温度时,高温作用下其内部结构中大分子晶体会断裂生成小分子量晶体[9,16],此时所需熔融焓随之升高。在EVA绝缘毯冷却过程中,温度低于玻璃化转变温度时,也会形成二次结晶,促进其结晶度上升。
高温下EVA绝缘毯拉断伸长率及拉断力测试结果如图3所示。由图3可知,随着温度升高,EVA绝缘毯的拉断伸长率呈现先增加后下降的趋势,而最大拉断力则呈下降趋势。在温度为40℃时,EVA绝缘毯的拉断伸长率最大,说明EVA树脂绝缘毯在40℃温度下的力学性能相对比较稳定。由此可知温度对EVA绝缘毯的拉断伸长率及拉断力等力学性能具有重要影响。
通过XRD分析研究高温对EVA绝缘毯晶粒尺寸、相对结晶度、微观应变的影响,分析其宏观力学性能改变时的内在机制。
不同温度下EVA绝缘毯的XRD分析结果如图4所示。从图4可知,EVA绝缘毯的XRD衍射光谱出现3个衍射峰,且不同温度下的XRD衍射光谱形状基本保持一致,差异之处在于不同温度下的XRD衍射峰峰值不同。每条衍射光谱在衍射角为21.4°时出现比较尖锐的主衍射峰,在衍射角为23.6°时出现次级的衍射峰,在衍射角为27.7°附近出现相对较弱的衍射峰。高温下EVA绝缘毯的XRD衍射光谱中衍射峰峰值发生微小变化,但位置基本不变,表明EVA树脂在不同温度作用下其聚集态结构不会产生新的晶型。图5为不同温度下EVA绝缘毯各衍射峰的衍射强度,可以看出3个衍射峰峰值对应的衍射强度随着温度升高呈现下降趋势,说明对应的3个衍射峰晶面晶粒数在减少。这是因为温度升高使得EVA树脂内部的一些分子链结构发生变化,导致其结构中的结晶度和晶粒尺寸发生相应的变化。
图5可知,热处理之后EVA绝缘毯3个衍射峰的衍射强度随着温度升高呈下降趋势,导致3个衍射峰的峰形宽度发生明显变化。为了量化EVA绝缘毯结晶区的晶粒尺寸大小,采用谢乐(Scherrer)方程计算不同衍射峰的晶粒尺寸,如式(3)所示[17]

式(3)中:Dhkl为垂直于晶面方向的晶粒尺寸;λ为X射线波长,本文试验采用的波长为0.154 nm;F为衍射峰的半高宽;θ为布拉格角;K为常数,取值为0.89。
图5还可以看出,随着温度的升高,EVA绝缘毯XRD衍射光谱在衍射角为27.7°附近的衍射峰强度基本不变,因此本文主要分析衍射角为21.4°与23.6°时峰的半高宽与晶粒尺寸在不同温度下的变化趋势。
通过式(3)计算得到不同温度下XRD衍射峰的晶粒尺寸,如表2所示,绘制出两个衍射峰在不同温度下的晶粒尺寸变化曲线,如图6所示。由表2图6可知,衍射角为21.4°处的主衍射峰对应的晶粒尺寸随着温度升高呈先减小后增大的趋势;衍射角为23.6°附近的次级衍射峰对应的晶粒尺寸随着温度升高则呈先增大后减小的趋势。分析认为,EVA绝缘毯在高温作用下其主结晶区中大分子链结构受热氧老化产生催化作用,使其结构受到影响产生裂解,造成EVA结构中小分子链与自由链增多,在温度作用及分子链相互作用下,促使小分子链和自由基形成次级结晶,同时造成EVA绝缘毯中形成的晶态结构分散性增大,晶体形态出现劣化[18],对其结构造成损坏,影响其力学性能。通过上述DSC分析可知,EVA绝缘毯在低温度下低分子链形成微晶体,但晶体结构并不完善。随着温度升高,低分子链首先发生熔融,所需熔融焓小;随着温度继续升高,在高温作用下,EVA内部结构中大分子晶体发生熔融形成小分子链,此时所需熔融焓随之升高,在冷却过程中温度作用于小分子链使结晶过程更容易,但会受到分子链缠结影响形成不完全的晶态[15],但不是完全的无定形态,可归为半结晶态,促进EVA绝缘毯的结晶度上升,因此主结晶峰在热处理下晶粒尺寸由小变大。另外,EVA树脂绝缘毯中的C、H、O 3种元素在空间排列时结构受到高温作用会发生部分畸变,促使EVA树脂绝缘毯整体的晶粒尺寸相对减小[19]
聚合物在不同温度下的结晶度、晶粒尺寸等改变致使其结构发生不均匀应变,导致EVA绝缘毯在高温下其内部结构的某些晶粒或晶粒与晶粒之间在应力作用下产生相应的微观应变,本文借助微观应变分析高温对EVA绝缘毯力学性能的影响。微观应变与衍射峰半高宽之间的关系如式(4)所示[19]

式(4)中:δs为微观应变,一般用百分数表示;F为衍射峰的半高宽;θ为布拉格角。
通过式(4)计算得到不同温度下EVA树脂绝缘毯XRD衍射光谱中的微观应变,如表3所示。由表3可知,衍射角为21.4°时的微观应变随着温度的升高呈先增大后减小的趋势,在温度为40℃时微观应变最大;衍射角为23.6°时的微观应变呈先减小后增大的趋势,在温度为80℃时,微观应变最大。对比表3表2可知,晶粒尺寸的变化规律与微观应变的变化规律呈现反比关系。
通过Origin软件对XRD衍射光谱中的3个衍射峰采用高斯方法进行拟合,得到EVA树脂绝缘毯正常状态下XRD衍射光谱的拟合峰如图7所示。
EVA树脂绝缘毯的结晶度(χ)通过Hinrichsen方法[15]进行计算,如式(5)所示[19]

式(5)中:S1为2θ为21.4°处的主结晶拟合峰面积;S2S3分别为2θ为23.6°、27.7°处的次结晶拟合峰面积;S4为无定形峰拟合区域面积。
通过式(5)计算得到不同温度下EVA树脂绝缘毯的结晶度参数,如表4所示。由表4可知,EVA绝缘毯的结晶度随着温度升高呈上升趋势,该现象表明在低温下其内部结构中的小分子形成微晶体,随着温度升高,EVA绝缘毯在高温作用下其主结晶中大分子链结构受热氧老化产生催化作用,使其结构受到影响而产生小分子链与自由基,在交联与冷却过程的作用下小分子链与其他的自由基作用形成次级结晶[15]。EVA树脂绝缘毯在温度为80℃下的结晶度增加了8.13%,这是因为温度过高,热运动激烈,晶核不易形成,使结晶速度减小,证明高温会在一定程度上破坏其结构,进而影响其结构变化与力学性能。
在动态热机械分析(DMA)试验中,频率、温度对试验均有一定的影响,因此本文在相同频率、不同温度下测试EVA树脂绝缘毯的储能模量变化趋势,结果如图8所示,储能模量(E′)反映材料的弹性成分,表征材料的刚度[20]。由图8可知,在温度升高的过程中,EVA树脂结构中分子链之间的相互作用降低,致使绝缘毯逐渐变软,储能模量(E′)呈现先上升后下降的趋势,主要分为3个阶段:在25~30℃,E′呈现上升趋势;在30~60℃,E′呈现下降趋势;在60~90℃,E′呈现缓慢下降趋势。EVA树脂绝缘毯随温度升高其结构中不同分子链之间吸收的能量逐渐减弱,使其更容易发生形变。与此同时,EVA树脂绝缘毯在高温下测量的储能模量变化比在低温下测量的变化更缓慢。在常温状态下,EVA树脂绝缘毯的E′储能模量为234.7 MPa,然而在温度为60、80、100℃下,其储能模量分别为142.2、154.2、135.5 MPa,分别下降了39.4%、34.3%、42.3%。上述结果表明EVA树脂绝缘毯在高温作用之后,其回弹性能变差,刚性变弱,导致EVA树脂绝缘毯较容易发生磨损、划伤,与前述高温对EVA树脂绝缘毯力学性能的影响规律基本一致。
EVA树脂绝缘毯在高温和高负荷下带电作业,温度较低时其结构中低分子量晶体会发生结晶,而当温度升高时将会破坏其结构中大分子晶体的排列,进而导致晶体的晶粒尺寸发生变化。在温度为40℃时,温度可以促进部分低分子量晶体结晶,导致球晶数目增加,分子链排列相对紧密,致使晶粒之间距离缩小,故形成的晶粒尺寸呈现下降趋势,材料韧性增加,从而使EVA树脂绝缘毯的拉断伸长率增加23.8%[15],并且拉断力相对较高,表明EVA绝缘毯运行的适宜温度为40℃左右。在温度为80℃时,EVA树脂绝缘毯的结晶度增加了8.13%,因高温造成大分子链断裂,在交联与冷却过程作用下断裂的分子链与其他的自由基作用形成次级结晶,但由于其形成的结晶结构相对不完善,使得结晶体的晶粒尺寸增大,结晶形态出现略微劣化。通过拉伸试验测得此时EVA绝缘毯的拉断伸长率下降了14.3%,说明EVA树脂绝缘毯在高温下的力学性能迅速下降;通过动态热机械分析不同温度作用下EVA绝缘毯的回弹性能,结果表明温度升高提高了其结构中不同分子链之间的相互作用,使得储能模量E'呈现下降趋势,EVA树脂绝缘毯材料变软,进而验证了高温会导致EVA树脂绝缘毯的刚度变弱,在高温条件下EVA绝缘毯易发生磨损、划伤等现象,造成带电作业成本增加。
(1)EVA绝缘毯的拉断伸长率随温度升高呈现先上升后下降趋势,在40℃下拉断伸长率最大,增加了23.8%;拉断力随温度升高呈下降趋势,在100℃时的拉断力相对于常温20℃时下降了48.8%。
(2)EVA绝缘毯在不同温度下的XRD光谱中对应的主结晶峰在短时高温下晶粒尺寸由小变大,而次级结晶峰对应的晶体中晶粒尺寸随温度升高呈现先增大后减小的趋势。
(3)在不同温度作用下,EVA绝缘毯结构中结晶度不同,在温度为80℃下其结晶度增加了11.1%,但断裂伸长率下降了14.3%,降低了其力学性能。
(4)EVA绝缘毯在高温下作用时,其储能模量E'呈现下降趋势,在温度为100℃时,其储能模量相对于常温状态下降了42.3%,回弹性能变差,刚性变弱,容易在高温下发生磨损、划伤等现象。
