A kind of epoxy resin matrix with high heat resistance was developed, and glass cloth laminates was prepared by high temperature hot-poressing technology using glass cloth as reinforce material. The properties of the matrix resin, cured resin, and the laminates were analyzed. The results show that this cured resin has high heat resistance and good mechanical properties, its glass transition temperature reaches up to 201℃, and the 5% weight loss temperature is 367℃; its tensile strength and flexural strength reaches to 76 MPa and 82 MPa, respectively. The glass cloth reinforced laminates show comprehensive performance, the tensile strength, compression strength, and impacting strength of the laminates is 411 MPa, 480 MPa, and 226 kJ/m2, respectively. The flexural strength at room temperature and 180℃ is 633 MPa and 416 MPa, respectively. Moreover, the tracking index (CTI) of the laminates can reach to 550.

本研究开发了一种高耐热环氧基体树脂并以玻璃布为增强材料,通过高温热压工艺制备了玻璃布层压板,对基体树脂及其固化物,以及层压板的性能进行了分析。结果表明:该环氧基体树脂固化物具有较高的耐热性和良好的力学性能,其玻璃化转变温度高达201℃,5%热失重温度达到367℃;其拉伸强度与弯曲强度分别为76 MPa与82 MPa。制备的层压板具有良好的综合性能,拉伸强度为411 MPa,压缩强度为480 MPa,冲击强度达到226 kJ/m2,室温与180℃下的弯曲强度分别为633 MPa与416 MPa,相比电痕化指数(CTI)可达到550。

A kind of epoxy resin matrix with high heat resistance was developed, and glass cloth laminates was prepared by high temperature hot-poressing technology using glass cloth as reinforce material. The properties of the matrix resin, cured resin, and the laminates were analyzed. The results show that this cured resin has high heat resistance and good mechanical properties, its glass transition temperature reaches up to 201℃, and the 5% weight loss temperature is 367℃; its tensile strength and flexural strength reaches to 76 MPa and 82 MPa, respectively. The glass cloth reinforced laminates show comprehensive performance, the tensile strength, compression strength, and impacting strength of the laminates is 411 MPa, 480 MPa, and 226 kJ/m2, respectively. The flexural strength at room temperature and 180℃ is 633 MPa and 416 MPa, respectively. Moreover, the tracking index (CTI) of the laminates can reach to 550.

近年来,大型发电机的额定容量及额定电压不断提高,玻璃布层压制品作为发电机绝缘结构重要的关键部件,需具备更为优异的力学性能、耐高温性能、耐电痕化性能及稳定可靠的绝缘性能[1-5]。同时,随着国家生态环保要求的不断提高,对绝缘材料生产制造、装配使用过程实现无毒无害,绿色环保可持续化提出了更高的要求。
目前,人们致力于开发性能优异的绝缘材料以满足电子、电气行业的飞速发展。朱伟等[6]制备了具有优异绝缘性能的无卤阻燃型环氧层压板,其玻璃化转变温度(Tg)为187℃,室温和热态(180℃)的弯曲强度分别达到了528 MPa和456 MPa。曾耀德等[7]制备了高导热环氧基绝缘层压板,其具有优异的导热性能,且弯曲强度达到350 MPa,阻燃等级为V-0级。邵亚婷等[8]制备了耐电痕化环氧玻璃布层压板,其Tg为177℃,弯曲强度为289 MPa。目前,绝缘材料在生产、加工以及使用过程中存在以下问题:①部分材料机械强度尤其是高温条件下强度不足;②相比电痕化指数(CTI)通常为125~350,低于国外公司对电机绝缘材料CTI的要求;③传统的绝缘材料在生产时会使用含甲苯、苯酚、甲醛等有毒有害物质的原材料,面临着巨大的环保性挑战。因此,开发环保、高耐热、高CTI值的绝缘材料显得尤为重要。
为解决上述问题,本研究开发一种高强度耐电痕化环氧基体树脂,该树脂生产过程中不涉及甲苯、苯酚、甲醛等有毒原材料,具有良好的环保性。对该树脂体系的工艺性及树脂固化物的热性能进行系统研究。在此基础上,以该树脂选取无碱玻璃布为增强材料,制备玻璃布层压板,对其力学强度、耐高温性能、耐电痕化性能以及绝缘性能进行全面评价。
双酚A环氧树脂、4,4′-二氨基二苯砜(DDS)、丙酮、助剂C、促进剂D、促进剂E、Al(OH)3,均为市售工业品;功能树脂F,自制;EW140无碱玻璃纤维布,四川玻纤有限公司。
按比例将DDS和丙酮投入反应釜中使其充分溶解,在一定温度下加入配方量的双酚A环氧树脂,持续搅拌,并加入助剂C、功能树脂F。反应一定时间至体系透明后降温,再依次加入促进剂D和E,高速分散搅拌至体系均匀。然后静置、冷却、出釜得到环氧基体树脂溶液,命名为EP溶液,固体含量为64.0%±0.5%。
将EP溶液在真空下脱除溶剂得到EP基体树脂,再在真空烘箱中按照80℃/2 h+160℃/2 h+180℃/2 h的固化程序进行固化得到浇注体,命名为p(EP)。
以Al(OH)3、EP溶液和无碱玻璃布为原料,经卧式浸胶机制备得到浸胶玻璃布,其挥发物含量为0.80%±0.05%,可溶性树脂含量为93%±2%。采用高温(180℃)层压工艺压制成型得到玻璃布层压板,并进行烘焙后处理。
采用美国Brookfield公司生产的DV2T型旋转黏度计,根据ISO 3219:1993进行黏度测试;采用美国TA公司生产的Q20型差示扫描量热仪,根据ASTM D3418-15进行差示扫描量热(DSC)测试;采用平板小刀法,根据ASTM D4217-07进行凝胶化时间测试;采用美国TA公司生产的Q850型动态力学分析仪,根据ASTM D4065-06进行动态热机械分析(DMA)测试,频率为1 Hz,振幅为15 μm,升温速率为5℃/min;采用美国TA公司生产的High Resolution 2950型热失重分析(TGA)仪,根据ASTM E2550-11进行热稳定性测试,氮气气氛,升温速率为10℃/min;采用深圳市凯强利试验仪器有限责任KQLKD-5型万能拉伸材料试验机,分别根据ASTM D638-14与ASTM D790测试拉伸性能与弯曲性能。
首先使用旋转黏度计测试了环氧基体树脂溶液的黏度,随后脱除了环氧基体树脂溶液中的溶剂,测试了EP基体树脂的黏温曲线,测试结果如图1所示。从图1(a)可以看出,树脂溶液在30℃下的黏度为50 cP,较低的黏度有利于树脂溶液充分浸润玻璃布,避免出现缺陷。从图1(b)可以看出,随着温度的升高,EP基体树脂分子的热运动增加,导致体系黏度下降;温度上升至115℃时,随着温度升高体系黏度迅速上升,表明该树脂体系在此温度下开始发生固化交联反应。通过此测试可模拟预浸料在升温压制过程中树脂的黏度变化情况,以此来为确定层压工艺提供参考。
图2(a)是EP基体树脂凝胶化时间与温度的关系曲线,凝胶化时间是评价热固性树脂固化反应的常用指标,从图2(a)可以看出,EP基体树脂在140℃的凝胶化时间较长,为3 090 s,随着测试温度的升高,凝胶化时间逐渐缩短,当测试温度为200℃时,凝胶化时间缩短至195 s。凝胶反应是热固性树脂发生固化反应过程中的一个重要节点,凝胶反应活化能与固化反应活性紧密相关,凝胶反应活化能越小,树脂体系的反应活性越大,反之亦然。凝胶化时间和凝胶反应活化能的关系如式(1)所示[9]

式(1)中:tgel为凝胶化时间;A为指前因子;Ea为凝胶反应活化能;R为摩尔气体常数;T为测试温度。
基于树脂体系在不同温度下的凝胶化时间,通过线性拟合可以得到树脂体系的凝胶反应活化能,拟合的曲线如图2(b)所示,经计算得到EP基体树脂的凝胶活化能为75.87 kJ/mol。
采用非等温DSC研究了EP基体树脂的固化动力学,图3(a)为EP基体树脂在不同升温速率下的DSC曲线。从图3(a)可以看出,随着升温速率的增加,体系的放热峰值温度逐渐向高温方向移动。在此选取对基体树脂固化影响较大的第一个放热峰,使用Kissinger法(式(2))和Ozawa法(式(3))进行曲线拟合,来计算固化反应的活化能[10-12]

式(2)~(3)中:β为升温速率;Tp为峰值放热温度;Ea'为固化反应的平均活化能;A为指前因子;R为摩尔气体常数;B为常数。
式(2)式(3)拟合的结果如图3(b)所示,得到体系的E′a分别为64 kJ/mol与69 kJ/mol。
将不同升温速率下的起始固化温度To、峰顶固化温度Tp、终止固化温度Te分别对升温速率作图,结果见图3(c)。采用温度-升温速率外推法将升温速率外推至0℃/min即可得到特征固化温度。这些温度将成为确定树脂固化加工温度的重要依据[13-14]。从图3(c)可以看出,EP基体树脂的起始固化温度在120℃左右,这与黏度测试结果基本吻合。其最大反应速率出现在168℃,因此,树脂固化温度应高于168℃,本研究选取的最高固化温度为180℃是合理的。图3(d)是EP基体树脂按实际工艺固化前后的DSC曲线。从图3(d)可以看出,固化前,曲线在150~300℃呈现出一个较宽的放热峰,而在固化后,在DSC曲线上未观察到明显的放热峰,表明EP树脂在固化程序下反应程度较高,固化较为完全。
电机中的绝缘材料在工况下需要经受较高的温度,因此,Tg是决定材料等级的一个重要指标。图4是p(EP)的热性能测试结果,具体数据列于表1。从图4(a)可以看出,p(EP)的初始储能模量为1.8 GPa,通过储能模量(E′)、损耗模量(E′′)与损耗因子(tanδ)曲线确定p(EP)的Tg分别为198℃、201℃与210℃,而通过DSC(图3(d))测试得到的Tg为196℃,表明p(EP)具有良好的耐热性,其Tg高于同类别其他环氧树脂,这主要是由于固化剂DDS结构中的苯环和砜基赋予了体系更高的耐热性。从图 4(b)可以看出,p(EP)的5%热失重温度高达367℃,10%热失重温度为388℃,在温度超过400℃以后 p(EP)才开始发生明显的降解行为,最大分解速率为2.05%/℃。热性能研究结果表明,p(EP)具有优良的耐热性和热稳定性。
p(EP)的拉伸测试与弯曲测试结果如图5表1所示。从图5表1可以看出,p(EP)的拉伸模量为1.2 GPa,拉伸强度为76 MPa,断裂伸长率为12.3%;弯曲模量为2.7 GPa,弯曲强度为82 MPa,说明该树脂体系具有良好的力学性能。
CTI是绝缘材料的一个重要电性能指标,环氧树脂相比酚醛树脂通常具有较高的CTI值。研究表明,向树脂体系中添加金属水合物可有效改善层压制品的CTI性能[16-17],最常用的金属水合物为 Al(OH)3,其在高温下会发生分解,一方面可以显著降低材料表面的温度;另一方面,形成的水蒸气会冲刷试样表面形成的碳化物,延缓电痕化的发展速度,同时由于Al(OH)3及分解生成的Al2O3均具有较好的导热性,能较好地传导和释放放电时产生的热量,进一步降低材料的分解速率,整体提高玻璃布层压板的耐电痕化水平。本研究分别向树脂体系中加入质量分数为5%、10%、15%的Al(OH)3,测得相应玻布层压板的CTI分别为475、500、550。
本研究制备的层压板外观光滑平整,色泽均匀呈淡绿色,玻璃布纹路细腻规整,使用合金刀具切削加工后,切口断面细致密实,无分层、气孔。层压板的综合性能见表2
表2可以看出,层压板室温弯曲强度高达633 MPa,155℃的弯曲强度保持率为74.4%,180℃的弯曲强度保持率为65.7%,表明材料的综合力学性能优异,耐热性能优良。同时由于材料配方设计为环氧体系,其冲击强度保持在较高水平,达到226 kJ/m2
(1)制备了具有良好耐热性、力学性能与热稳定性的环氧基体树脂,其固化物的Tg可达200℃,拉伸强度为76.3 MPa,5%热失重温度为367℃。
(2)通过添加Al(OH)3可有效提高层压板的耐漏电起痕性能,当加入质量分数为15%的Al(OH)3时,层压板的CTI值达到550。
(3)所研制的高强度玻璃布层压板具有良好综合性能,其中室温弯曲强度为633 MPa,155℃热态弯曲强度为471 MPa,特别是180℃热态弯曲强度高达416 MPa、热态强度保持率为65.7%,表明该材料具有良好的力学性能和热稳定性;同时,其CTI值可稳定达到550,且各项电气性能良好。
