A new method based on S-transform and time-frequency domain reflection (TFDR) was proposed to locate the local defect of power cable. The principle of traditional cable defect location method was analyzed firstly. The time-frequency distribution of the TFDR test waveform was obtained by S-transform, and the time-frequency cross-correlation function of time-frequency distribution was calculated. Then the location of cable local defect was estimated by the local peak of the time-frequency cross-correlation function curves. The results show that compared with the traditional TFDR methods, there is no cross-term interference problem in the time-frequency distribution for the proposed method, so the local peak of interference in the time-frequency cross-correlation function curve is eliminated, and the reliability of cable defect location results is high and the detection blind area of local defect is small. Finally, the simulation and measurement analysis were carried out on the 10 kV cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cable, and the results show that the proposed method can effectively locate the local defect of cable and the absolute error of defect location is small.

针对电力电缆的局部缺陷定位问题,提出一种基于S变换与时频域反射(time-frequency domain reflectometry,TFDR)的电缆缺陷定位方法。在分析传统电缆缺陷定位方法原理的基础上,利用S变换求取TFDR测试波形的时频分布,并计算时频分布的时频互相关函数,再通过时频互相关函数曲线的局部峰值对电缆局部缺陷的位置进行判断。结果表明:相比于传统的TFDR方法,本文方法的时频分布不存在交叉项干扰,从而消除了时频互相关函数曲线中干扰的局部峰值,且电缆缺陷定位结果的可靠性较高,局部缺陷的检测盲区较小。最后对10 kV交联聚乙烯(XLPE)电缆进行仿真和实测分析,结果显示本文方法可以有效定位电缆的局部缺陷,并且缺陷定位的绝对误差较小。

针对电力电缆的局部缺陷定位问题,提出一种基于S变换与时频域反射(time-frequency domain reflectometry,TFDR)的电缆缺陷定位方法。在分析传统电缆缺陷定位方法原理的基础上,利用S变换求取TFDR测试波形的时频分布,并计算时频分布的时频互相关函数,再通过时频互相关函数曲线的局部峰值对电缆局部缺陷的位置进行判断。结果表明:相比于传统的TFDR方法,本文方法的时频分布不存在交叉项干扰,从而消除了时频互相关函数曲线中干扰的局部峰值,且电缆缺陷定位结果的可靠性较高,局部缺陷的检测盲区较小。最后对10 kV交联聚乙烯(XLPE)电缆进行仿真和实测分析,结果显示本文方法可以有效定位电缆的局部缺陷,并且缺陷定位的绝对误差较小。

A new method based on S-transform and time-frequency domain reflection (TFDR) was proposed to locate the local defect of power cable. The principle of traditional cable defect location method was analyzed firstly. The time-frequency distribution of the TFDR test waveform was obtained by S-transform, and the time-frequency cross-correlation function of time-frequency distribution was calculated. Then the location of cable local defect was estimated by the local peak of the time-frequency cross-correlation function curves. The results show that compared with the traditional TFDR methods, there is no cross-term interference problem in the time-frequency distribution for the proposed method, so the local peak of interference in the time-frequency cross-correlation function curve is eliminated, and the reliability of cable defect location results is high and the detection blind area of local defect is small. Finally, the simulation and measurement analysis were carried out on the 10 kV cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cable, and the results show that the proposed method can effectively locate the local defect of cable and the absolute error of defect location is small.

近年来,为了满足城市发展的需要,大量的交联聚乙烯(cross-linked polyethylene,XLPE)电力电缆被应用在城市的输配电网络中[1-2]。随着电缆服役时间的延长,在外力破坏、环境腐蚀、质量欠佳等因素的影响下,XLPE电力电缆会逐渐出现局部缺陷,最终引发城市输配电网络的停电事故[3]。因此,探究电力电缆的局部缺陷定位技术,对于保证城市输配电网络的可靠运行具有重大意义[4]
国内外学者对基于行波理论的电缆缺陷定位技术开展了大量研究,其中传统的时域反射法(time domain reflectometry,TDR)5和频域反射法(frequency domain reflectometry,FDR)[6-7]已经被广泛应用于电缆的缺陷定位领域。上述两种方法分别采用低压脉冲信号和低压正弦扫频信号作为测试信号,然后采集电缆局部缺陷位置处的反射信号,最后单独通过时域反射法分析或频域反射法分析确定反射信号和测试信号的时延,达到电缆缺陷定位的目的。由于TDR和FDR方法仅单独从时域或频域上对反射信号开展分析,未充分解析出反射信号含有的电缆局部缺陷相关信息,所以TDR和FDR方法的实际抗干扰能力较差,难以定位到微弱的局部缺陷。在TDR和FDR方法的基础上,时频域反射法(time-frequency domain reflectometry,TFDR)[8]被提出,该方法将测试信号设置为线性调频信号,然后在时频域中对反射信号进行观察分析,以确定反射信号的时延,达到电缆缺陷定位的目的。由于TFDR方法是从时频域的角度对反射信号开展分析,因此该方法充分利用了反射信号的时域信息和频域信息,有效提升了电缆缺陷的定位效果。
但是,传统的TFDR方法利用维格纳分布(Wigner-Ville distribution,WVD)作为反射信号,导致反射信号的时频分布出现交叉项,即虚假的干扰分量,影响电缆局部缺陷的定位结果[9]。文献[10]利用反射信号时频分布中信号能量之间的欧氏距离和正切距离来定位电缆局部缺陷,该方法可以有效削弱多重反射的影响,提升电缆缺陷的定位效果,但是并未讨论交叉项干扰的影响。文献[11]提出对传统TFDR方法中的WVD方法进行频域内的加窗处理,形成伪WVD方法,在一定程度上削弱了交叉项干扰的影响。文献[12]提出对传统TFDR方法中的WVD方法同时进行时域内和频域内的加窗处理,形成平滑伪WVD方法,进一步地削弱了交叉项干扰的影响。虽然伪WVD方法和平滑伪WVD方法能够在一定程度上抑制反射信号时频分布中的交叉项干扰,但是并不能完全消除交叉项干扰,并且还会引起真实分量的时频分辨率下降,影响电缆缺陷定位结果的真实性。
针对传统TFDR方法的电缆缺陷定位效果受WVD类方法中交叉项影响较大的问题,本文提出一种基于S变换与TFDR的电缆缺陷定位方法。首先将S变换引入TFDR方法中反射信号的时频分布,以消除原有时频分布中存在的交叉项干扰,然后再借助时频互相关函数描绘出电缆的缺陷定位曲线,最后利用该曲线的局部峰值定位电缆缺陷。通过对仿真电缆模型和实际电力电缆进行局部缺陷定位测试,验证本文方法的优越性。
TFDR方法是一种基于行波理论的电缆缺陷定位方法,当TFDR方法的测试信号注入到被测电缆后,测试信号会在电缆局部缺陷等阻抗不匹配位置发生反射现象,进而产生反射信号,通过在电缆测试端采集并分析反射信号的信息,可以有效定位电缆局部缺陷。为了使反射信号具备明显的时频分布特征,TFDR方法中测试信号选用时域和频域内都具有紧支性的高斯包络线性调频信号[13],其具体表达式为式(1)

式(1)中:A决定测试信号的幅值;τ0决定测试信号的中心时刻;ω0决定测试信号的中心频率;α决定测试信号的时长;αβ共同决定测试信号的频率带宽;τs(τ)的时间变量。
s(τ)中各参数的设置方法可参考文献[14],本文将s(τ)的持续时间设置为0.1 μs,中心频率设置为25 MHz,频率带宽设置为30 MHz,得到最终的测试信号如图1所示。从图1中可以看出,利用TFDR方法对电缆进行缺陷定位测试,可以同时获取反射信号的时域分布和频率分布,从而在时域和频域都具备一定的分辨率,充分获取反射信号的时域信息和频域信息,避免了传统TDR和FDR方法中单域分析的问题,提升了电缆局部缺陷的定位效果。
因为传统TFDR方法中WVD类方法存在交叉项干扰的问题,所以本文引入S变换作为TFDR方法中反射信号的时频分析方法。S变换是学者Stockwell提出的一种时频分析方法,该方法的时频分析结果同时拥有短时傅里叶变换和小波变换的优点[15-16]。该方法将短时傅里叶变换的固定窗函数改变为参数可自适应调节的高斯窗函数,随着分析频率的升高,该高斯窗函数的宽度会逐渐变减小,而幅值会逐渐增大,从而保证S变换具有自适应的时频分析能力,可以在分析信号的低频部分时获得较高的频率分辨率,在分析信号的高频部分时获得较高的时域分辨率,因此S变换可以很好地描绘出TFDR方法中高斯包络线性调频信号的时频分布。

为了能够利用入射信号和反射信号的时频分布准确定位电缆缺陷,本文引入归一化时频互相关函数T(t),将入射信号时频能量和反射信号时频能量进行对比分析,其具体表达式为式(5)

利用EsEr(t)可以对T(t)进行归一化处理,将T(t)限制在0~1内,便于对比入射信号和反射信号的时频能量。利用曲线T(t)的局部峰值位置可以估计入射信号和反射信号的时间差Δt,配合电磁波在电缆中的传播速度v,可以计算得到缺陷到电缆测试端的实际距离d,如式(8)所示。

为了说明本文所提基于S变换与TFDR的电缆缺陷定位方法的优越性,首先利用仿真信号开展分析与讨论,依照式(1)设计2组仿真信号分别为s1s2s1可视为入射信号,s2可视为反射信号,将s1s2的中心时刻分别设置为0.8 μs和1.6 μs,得到s1s2的时域叠加波形如图2所示。分别利用WVD方法、伪WVD方法、平滑伪WVD方法和本文方法求取图2中波形的时频分布,得到各方法对应的时频分布如图3所示。需要说明的是,本文中伪WVD方法、平滑伪WVD方法中窗函数均选择高斯窗函数[12]
分析图3中各方法对应的信号时频分布结果可知,在WVD方法对应的信号时频分布结果中,s1s2的时频分布能量清晰可见,说明WVD方法可以提取入射信号和反射信号的时频分布,但是s1s2的中间时刻出现了明显的交叉项,即虚假信号的时频分布,会严重影响入射信号和反射信号检测效果的真实性。伪WVD方法在频域内进行加窗平滑处理,通过牺牲s1s2时频分布的分辨率,在一定程度上削弱了交叉项的能量,但是实际交叉项的时频分布能量仍然较高。平滑伪WVD方法通过在时域和频域内同时进行加窗平滑处理,进一步地削弱了交叉项的能量,但是也导致s1s2时频分布的分辨率大幅下降,同时交叉项也并未被完全消除,不仅没有提升入射信号和反射信号检测效果的真实性,而且还会使入射信号和反射信号的检测盲区增加。而本文方法提出的S变换通过引入参数可自适应调节的高斯窗函数,可以较好地刻画出s1s2的时频分布特征,同时该方法的时频分布图中不存在交叉项,保证了入射信号和反射信号时频检测结果的真实性。另外,S变换的时频分布图中,s1s2的时频分布特征具有明显的相似性,有利于后续入射信号时频能量和反射信号时频能量的对比分析。
为了获得仿真信号s1s2的时延,求解图3中各方法时频分布结果的时频互相关曲线如图4所示。从图4中可以看出,在WVD方法、伪WVD方法、平滑伪WVD方法的时频互相关曲线中,s1s2的时延位置处均出现明显的局部峰值,说明利用传统WVD方法、伪WVD方法、平滑伪WVD方法的时频分布结果可以获取信号s1s2的时延信息。但是,在交叉项的干扰下,WVD方法、伪WVD方法、平滑伪WVD方法的时频互相关曲线在s1s2的时延位置中间时刻出现了干扰信号的局部峰值[18],从而造成信号时延的错误估计,最终影响电缆缺陷定位结果的真实性。虽然文献[11-12]中伪WVD方法、平滑伪WVD方法通过时域或频域内加窗处理的方式有效削弱了交叉项能量,但是并不能完全消除时频分布中交叉项的干扰,导致最终的时频互相关曲线仍会存在干扰信号的局部峰值。同时伪WVD方法、平滑伪WVD方法牺牲了真实信号的时频分辨率,导致最终的时频互相关曲线中真实信号的峰宽增加,引起信号的分辨盲区过大,最终影响电缆缺陷定位效果。本文方法的时频互相关曲线在s1s2的时延位置处出现明显的局部峰值,并且s1s2的时延位置处峰宽较小,说明本文方法可以有效获取信号s1s2的时延信息,并且本文方法中信号的分辨盲区较小,时频互相关曲线中不存在干扰信号的局部峰值,保证了电缆缺陷定位结果的真实性。
为了进一步对本文方法开展仿真测试,搭建如图5所示的缺陷电缆仿真模型,该模型中RLGC分别是电缆中正常部分处单位长度的电阻、电容、电导和电感;R0L0G0C0分别是电缆中局部缺陷处单位长度的电阻、电容、电导和电感;d1d3是电缆中正常部分的长度;d2是电缆中局部缺陷的长度。
本文将d1d2d3分别设置为100、0.5、99.5 m;局部缺陷类型设置为局部区域电容增大为原来的1.2倍[18],即C0=1.2CRLGC的计算公式如式(9)~(12)所示[19-20]

式(9)~(12)中:μ0是真空磁导率;ω=2πf,是电磁波的角频率;rcρc分别是缆芯的半径和电阻率;rsρs分别是屏蔽层的半径和电阻率;σε是模型中电介质的电导率和介电常数。
仿真电缆模型设置为10 kV XLPE电力电缆,具体参数设置见文献[19]。
当电缆中距测试端d处位置出现反射现象时,入射信号在该位置的反射系数为式(13)[21]

当电缆出现局部区域的缺陷时,该区域的电气参数LC会发生改变,结合式(13)式(15)可以看出,此时该区域的特性阻抗会随之变化,反射系数不再等于0,引起电缆的反射现象,因此通过分析电缆中反射信号的信息可以定位电缆局部缺陷。
将1.1节中TFDR的测试信号注入图5中仿真电缆模型,采样频率设置为300 MHz,得到最终的测试波形如图6所示。由图6可知,当只在时域内分析反射信号时,由于未充分获取反射信号的时频域信息,所以难以识别电缆局部缺陷的微弱反射信号,无法有效定位电缆局部缺陷。分别采用WVD方法、伪WVD方法、平滑伪WVD方法和本文方法求解图6中仿真TFDR测试波形的时频分布,得到各方法对应的时频互相关函数曲线如图7所示。从图7中可以看出,本文方法、WVD方法、伪WVD方法和平滑伪WVD方法的时频互相关函数曲线在距离100 m和200 m处均出现明显的局部峰值,其中100 m处局部峰值对应仿真电缆模型中局部缺陷的位置,200 m处局部峰值对应仿真电缆模型中远端的位置,说明上述4种方法均可以定位到图5中电缆仿真模型的局部缺陷。但是,WVD方法、伪WVD方法和平滑伪WVD方法的时频互相关函数曲线中均明显出现干扰的局部峰值,说明WVD方法、伪WVD方法和平滑伪WVD方法会对电缆缺陷造成误判,最终影响电缆缺陷定位结果的真实性。而本文方法的时频互相关函数曲线中并未出现干扰的局部峰值,保证了电缆缺陷定位结果的真实性。综上所述,本文方法能够更好地利用TFDR测试信号定位电缆局部缺陷。
为验证本文方法对实际电力电缆的缺陷定位效果,对含有缺陷的10 kV XLPE电力电缆进行缺陷定位测试,电缆长度设置为45 m,缺陷位置设置为35 m处,缺陷类型设置为电缆铜屏蔽层缺失,缺失长度为50 cm,但仍然保持电气连接,用于模拟实际电缆受到外力破坏导致铜带受损的情况。
TFDR测试系统是一种基于时域测量的系统,具体测试系统连接如图8所示,计算机控制任意波形信号发生器输出高斯包络调频信号作为测试信号,通过同轴电缆注入被测电缆的测试端,示波器采用转接器和信号发生器、被测电缆测试端相连,用于采集反射信号,并将其传输给计算机进行处理,计算机通过对比分析测试信号和反射信号的时频域信息,实现电缆缺陷的定位。
利用图8中测试系统对45 m含局部缺陷的电缆进行测试,测试系统中示波器的采样频率设置为300 MHz,测试带宽为200 MHz,任意波形信号发生器的输出信号最大带宽为240 MHz,具体输出的测试信号参数见1.1节所示,得到TFDR测试结果如图9所示。由于图9中反射波形只具有时域分辨率,同时反射信号的能量较弱,所以难以直接根据图9中时域波形去定位电缆缺陷。而采用时频域分析方法提取反射信号的时频分布后,可以同时在时域和频域中对反射信号进行观察,充分解析反射信号的信息,获得最优的缺陷定位效果。
分别利用WVD方法、伪WVD方法、平滑伪WVD方法和本文方法对图9中测试结果进行分析,得到上述各方法的时频互相关曲线如图10所示。由图10可知,在WVD方法、伪WVD方法和平滑伪WVD方法的缺陷定位结果中,由于对应时频分布中存在交叉项的干扰,时频互相关曲线中存在较多的干扰局部峰值,并且使缺陷对应的局部峰值受到了破坏,导致最终的电缆缺陷定位结果不仅无法定位到35 m处真实的局部缺陷,而且会错误定位到多个虚假的局部缺陷。而本文方法的时频分布中不存在交叉项,所以时频互相关曲线中没有干扰的局部峰值,该曲线在35 m位置附近出现了明显的局部峰值,说明本文方法可以有效定位电缆中缺陷,最终缺陷的定位结果为34.65 m,绝对误差为0.35 m。
值得说明的是,由于实测电缆的长度为45 m,缺陷位置为35 m处,而仿真电缆的长度为200 m,缺陷位置为100 m处,图10中各真实信号的局部峰的相隔距离远小于图7中各真实信号的局部峰的相隔距离,引起图10中各真实信号的局部峰发生能量重叠,导致图10中实测TFDR测试波形的时频互相关函数曲线中局部峰的凸显程度与图7中仿真结果差别较大。并且WVD方法、伪WVD方法和平滑伪WVD方法中真实信号的局部峰还会与虚假信号的局部峰发生能量重叠,导致局部峰的凸显程度进一步下降。尤其是对于平滑伪WVD方法而言,由于该方法的局部峰宽度最大,真实信号与虚假信号的局部峰重叠效应最严重,最终导致平滑伪WVD方法的缺陷局部峰不明显,而且定位误差较大。
(1)针对传统TFDR方法的时频分布中存在交叉项干扰的问题,本文引入S变换作为TFDR测试波形的时频分析方法,在保证良好时频分辨率的基础上,消除了时频分布中的交叉项,保证了时频分布的真实性。
(2)由于本文方法对应的时频分布中不存在交叉项干扰,该方法的时频互相关函数曲线中仅有真实缺陷的局部峰值,不存在干扰的局部峰值,保证了最终电缆缺陷定位结果的可靠性。
(3)仿真和实测结果表明,传统TFDR方法的时频互相关函数曲线中干扰的局部峰值不仅会造成电缆缺陷的误判,而且会破坏真实缺陷的局部峰值,导致无法定位真实缺陷。而本文方法消除了交叉项的干扰,可以准确定位电缆局部缺陷,并且具备较高的定位精度。
