HVDC cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cables will be damaged by operation impulse voltage caused by switching and other operations in the power system under working condition, which will affect the insulation. However, at present, there is a lack of relevant research on the cable insulation deterioration generated by space charge accumulation caused by multiple impulse cumulative effect. Based on the PEA space charge measurement system under DC superimposed impulse voltage in the laboratory, the space charge characteristics of XLPE cable insulation under DC voltage, impulse voltage, and DC superimposed impulse voltage were measured in this paper. The results show that XLPE is dominated by heteropolar charges under positive DC voltage, and negative charges of the same polarity appear on the SC electrode under negative DC voltage. Continuous high-amplitude impulse voltage can cause large number of homopolar charges injection on the two electrodes, and the amount of injected charge is larger under negative impluse voltage. Under DC superimposed impulse voltage, the same polarity superimposition method can promote the injection of homopolar charge on the two electrodes more than the opposite polarity superimposition method. Moreover, the longer the impulse voltage is applied, the more charge accumulates in the XLPE sample.

高压交联聚乙烯(XLPE)直流电缆在工作状态下,会受到电力系统中由投切等操作引起的操作冲击电压的破坏,导致绝缘受到影响,而目前缺乏多次冲击累积效应引起空间电荷累积导致电缆绝缘劣化的相关研究。本文基于实验室已有的直流叠加冲击电压下的PEA法空间电荷测量系统,分别测量了直流电压、冲击电压、直流叠加冲击电压作用下XLPE电缆绝缘中的空间电荷特性。结果表明:正直流电压下XLPE体内以异极性电荷为主,负直流电压下SC电极上出现同极性负电荷的注入;连续的高幅值冲击电压作用会导致双电极上大量的同极性电荷注入,且负极性冲击下电荷注入量略多;当直流叠加冲击电压时,同极性叠加方式比异极性叠加方式更能促进双电极上同极性电荷的注入,而且冲击电压作用时间越长,XLPE试样内部积聚的电荷量越多。

高压交联聚乙烯(XLPE)直流电缆在工作状态下,会受到电力系统中由投切等操作引起的操作冲击电压的破坏,导致绝缘受到影响,而目前缺乏多次冲击累积效应引起空间电荷累积导致电缆绝缘劣化的相关研究。本文基于实验室已有的直流叠加冲击电压下的PEA法空间电荷测量系统,分别测量了直流电压、冲击电压、直流叠加冲击电压作用下XLPE电缆绝缘中的空间电荷特性。结果表明:正直流电压下XLPE体内以异极性电荷为主,负直流电压下SC电极上出现同极性负电荷的注入;连续的高幅值冲击电压作用会导致双电极上大量的同极性电荷注入,且负极性冲击下电荷注入量略多;当直流叠加冲击电压时,同极性叠加方式比异极性叠加方式更能促进双电极上同极性电荷的注入,而且冲击电压作用时间越长,XLPE试样内部积聚的电荷量越多。

HVDC cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cables will be damaged by operation impulse voltage caused by switching and other operations in the power system under working condition, which will affect the insulation. However, at present, there is a lack of relevant research on the cable insulation deterioration generated by space charge accumulation caused by multiple impulse cumulative effect. Based on the PEA space charge measurement system under DC superimposed impulse voltage in the laboratory, the space charge characteristics of XLPE cable insulation under DC voltage, impulse voltage, and DC superimposed impulse voltage were measured in this paper. The results show that XLPE is dominated by heteropolar charges under positive DC voltage, and negative charges of the same polarity appear on the SC electrode under negative DC voltage. Continuous high-amplitude impulse voltage can cause large number of homopolar charges injection on the two electrodes, and the amount of injected charge is larger under negative impluse voltage. Under DC superimposed impulse voltage, the same polarity superimposition method can promote the injection of homopolar charge on the two electrodes more than the opposite polarity superimposition method. Moreover, the longer the impulse voltage is applied, the more charge accumulates in the XLPE sample.

高压交联聚乙烯(XLPE)直流电缆在工作状态下,会受到电力系统中由投切等操作引起的操作冲击电压的破坏,冲击电压与电缆运行电压相叠加,导致绝缘受到的破坏更严重。冲击电压可能不是绝缘失效的直接原因[1],但多次冲击的累积效应必然会导致绝缘劣化[2]。再加之电力系统中存在大量的阻容设备,各元件间的电磁能量转换过程造成线路系统发生振荡,产生高频(几百到几千Hz)高幅值的冲击电压[3],而高频冲击振荡波会对设备绝缘造成不可逆转的破坏[4-5]
目前,关于直流叠加冲击电压下直流绝缘特性的研究主要集中在直流叠加冲击电压下的电场仿真计算,郑欢等[6]应用COMSOL软件对复合电压下的电场分布进行了研究,发现电缆绝缘与内半导电屏蔽层接触面会出现瞬态的最大电场,与电压极性无关;刘帅[7]和杜伯学等[8]指出绝缘材料在直流电压叠加同极性冲击电压条件下,直流电压越高,电树枝的生长速度越快,叠加异极性电压时则随直流电压增大而减慢,并且叠加的冲击电压极性决定了电树枝的结构。徐龙等[9]和Y MURATA等[10]的研究结果表明,叠加冲击电压会导致电缆体内的电场分布发生畸变。DU B X等[11]和YING L等[12]的研究结果表明,冲击电压叠加作用会加速XLPE电缆绝缘老化[11],且同极性电压叠加方式下更有利于电树的引发和生长[12]。针对空间电荷测量使用的脉冲注入方式,王霞等[13]通过PEA法比较不同脉冲注入方式的耦合效率,发现电缆长度越长,脉冲耦合效率逐渐增加并达到饱和态,在测量电极脉冲注入法中,轴向阻抗越大,脉冲耦合效率越高。众所周知,空间电荷与介质老化互为因果关系。空间电荷的产生、积聚和演变特性与材料性能密切相关。据统计,变电站电力设备平均每年遭受雷电冲击电压入侵达几十次,按照30年使用寿命计算,其使用期间承受雷电冲击电压达上千次,电力设备每日正常的投切设备则会使其承受数万次的操作冲击过电压,而针对电缆长期运行后电缆绝缘直流叠加冲击电压下空间电荷的迁移及演变特性未见报道。
本文基于课题组自制的可用于直流叠加冲击电压下的PEA法空间电荷测量系统[14-15],分别测量交联聚乙烯(XLPE)电缆绝缘在直流电压、冲击电压、直流叠加冲击电压下的空间电荷特性,探讨冲击电压对直流电场下介质中电荷积聚特性的影响规律。
采用浙江万马高分子材料集团有限公司提供的220 kV交流XLPE电缆绝缘料,使用平板硫化机在175℃、15 MPa的条件下压制直径为10 cm、厚度约为0.2 mm的薄片试样若干,经过高温硫化后进行冷却,并在80℃的烘箱中放置8 h以消除试样内部残余应力及交联副产物的影响。
传统的PEA法一般只能用于直流电压下介质中空间电荷的测量,为实现直流叠加冲击电压下空间电荷的测量,对实验室原有的PEA法空间电荷设备做如下改进:①采用TREK30任意波形高压放大器实现0~30 kV冲击电压的输出;②采用双路可编程信号发生器,实现同步或移相控制TREK30高压放大器和纳秒脉冲源;③合理设计和选择高压电极中的阻容元件,有效实现冲击电压和纳秒脉冲信号的隔离。设备其余配件与传统PEA法测量系统相同,直流叠加冲击电压下PEA法空间电荷测量系统示意图如图1所示。
(1)冲击电压叠加方式
根据CIGRE TB496中针对直流电缆关于施加冲击电压幅值的建议[16],当操作冲击电压与直流电压为相同电压极性时,合成电压的峰值为2.1U0,即同极性冲击电压的幅值为1.1U0;当操作冲击电压与直流电压极性相反时,合成电压的峰值为-1.2U0,即异极性冲击电压的幅值为-2.2U0,如图2所示。根据GB/T 3048.13—2007规定,冲击电压波形的波前升压时间和半峰宽分别为250 ms和2 500 ms[17]
(2)冲击电压频率设定
在电力电缆实际运行中,其承受的操作冲击电压一般为含有数百到数千赫兹的高次谐波的振荡波形[18],其寿命周期内可承受数万次的冲击电压,并且相比于长电缆中的高阻容效应,片状试样中积聚的电荷更易消散。为探究冲击电压对绝缘材料的累积效应,需要在短时间内施加多次冲击电压,因此本文中施加频率为100 Hz周期性的冲击电压[19]
(3)直流叠加冲击电压下空间电荷测量方案
1)研究冲击电压极性对XLPE中空间电荷的影响。测量20 min单一冲击电压下峰值场强为±11~±88 kV/mm时XLPE中的空间电荷特性。纳秒脉冲激励作用位于冲击电压作用零电位时刻,如图2中标示的空间电荷测量点位置。去压后采集10 min过程的短路波形。
2)研究直流电压极性对XLPE中空间电荷的影响。外施直流电场为±10~±40 kV/mm,测量XLPE试样在加压1 h过程中的空间电荷特性。去压后采集10 min过程的短路波形。
3)研究直流叠加冲击电压对XLPE中空间电荷的影响。其中,直流电场为±20~±40 kV/mm,持续施加1 h,在其作用30 min时刻,开始叠加不同极性的冲击电压,周期为100 Hz的冲击电压作用时间分别为1 min与10 min。纳秒脉冲激励作用位于冲击电压作用零电位时刻。去压后采集10 min过程的短路波形。冲击电压、直流电压、直流叠加冲击电压的施加次序示意图如图3所示。
图4为±40 kV/mm直流电场下XLPE中空间电荷特性,图中左侧为铝(Al)电极,右侧为半导体(SC)电极。由图4可见,+40 kV/mm直流电压作用下,XLPE体内以异极性电荷积聚为主;而-40 kV/mm直流电压作用下,SC侧电极(阴极)出现了同极性电荷注入和向试样体内迁移现象,而Al电极(阳极)附近始终以异极性电荷为主,表明SC电极更容易注入和迁移电子。
图5为不同幅值、不同极性的冲击电压下XLPE中的空间电荷特性。由图5可见,无论冲击电压极性如何,随着冲击电压幅值的增加,XLPE试样内同极性电荷积聚量均逐渐增多,逐渐向体内迁移并发生复合现象。
(1)同极性叠加方式
图6为正直流叠加正冲击电压下XLPE中的空间电荷特性,外施直流场强分别为20 kV/mm和40 kV/mm,冲击电压施加时间分别为1 min和10 min。由图4正直流电场作用结果可知,+40 kV/mm场强下XLPE体内以异极性电荷为主。图6中20 kV/mm正直流场强叠加1.1倍正冲击电压,其等效直流场幅值约为+42 kV/mm,因此XLPE试样体内仍以异极性电荷积聚为主,与图4正直流测量结果相似,与冲击电压作用时间无关。
40 kV/mm正直流场强叠加1.1倍正冲击电压,其等效直流场强约为+84 kV/mm,由图5可知冲击电压有助于XLPE试样体内同极性电荷的积聚。因此,由图6可见,在正直流叠加正冲击电压作用下,试样体内出现了明显的同极性电荷注入和迁移现象。而且冲击电压作用时间越长,同极性电荷注入和迁移现象越明显。
图7为负直流叠加负冲击电压下XLPE中的空间电荷特性。同理,由图4负直流电场作用结果可知,-40 kV/mm场强下SC侧电极出现了同极性电荷注入和迁移现象。图7中20 kV/mm负直流场强叠加1.1倍负冲击电压,其等效直流场幅值约为-42 kV/mm,因此XLPE试样SC侧电极出现了同极性电荷的注入和迁移现象,与图4负直流测量结果相似。且随着冲击电压作用时间的增加,同极性电荷逐渐向XLPE侧迁移。
40 kV/mm负直流场强叠加1.1倍负冲击,其等效直流场强约为-84 kV/mm。由图7可见,冲击电压增加了同极性电荷的注入量,两侧电极均发生了明显的同极性电荷注入现象和迁移。而且冲击电压作用时间越长,同极性电荷注入和迁移现象越明显。
(2)异极性叠加方式
图8为正直流叠加负冲击电压下XLPE中的空间电荷特性。正直流叠加2.2倍负冲击电压等效于削弱了直流电场。由图8可知,异极性冲击电压的施加未能改变XLPE体内的电场分布,与图4正直流电场下XLPE体内积聚少量的异极性电荷分布特性基本一致。
图9为负直流叠加正冲击电压下XLPE中的空间电荷特性。这种异极性叠加方式下等效于削弱了直流电场。由图9可知,XLPE试样体内的电荷积聚特性与直流电压作用下基本类同(图4)。值得注意的是,-40 kV/mm直流电场下由于存在SC侧电极同极性电荷(电子)的注入(图4),当叠加2.2倍正冲击后,SC侧电极的电子注入和迁移现象更为明显,表明冲击电压有助于促进同极性电荷的注入和迁移。
电极附近积聚的与电极界面电荷峰极性一致的电荷为同极性电荷,一般由电极向介质内注入的载流子(电子或空穴)构成[20];而与电荷峰极性相异的电荷为异极性电荷,其来源主要有:①介质内的杂质经过电离形成的离子;②在高电场下电极注入的载流子向抽出极迁移,到达抽出极附近后由于界面处存在势垒的作用导致电荷积聚在其附近,形成异极性电荷[21-23]
根据空间电荷测量结果,按式(1)分别对直流和冲击电压作用后短路10 min的空间电荷进行积分计算,结果如图1011所示。

式(1)中:ρ(x,t)为t时刻x位置的电荷密度;d为材料的厚度。
图1011可见,相同电压等级下,负直流/负冲击电压作用下XLPE体内残留的电荷量略多于正直流/正冲击电压作用。这也表明SC侧电极在负极性电压下更易注入电子的特性,有助于增加XLPE体内的电荷量。
图69直流叠加冲击电压下XLPE中空间电荷的测量结果可知,其作用效果并不等于直流电压与冲击电压分别作用效果的线性相加。当直流叠加同极性冲击电压,且冲击电压是直流电压的1.1倍时,由于冲击电压的升压速度很快,因此合成电压在瞬间达到2.1倍的直流电压,能够瞬间提高电极注入电荷的能力,冲击电压降压速度较慢,高频冲击电压长时间作用后,电极向材料内部注入大量的同极性电荷,同极性电荷在电场的作用下向内部迁移,迁移的过程中容易被材料内部的陷阱捕获。
当直流电压叠加异极性冲击电压,且冲击电压是直流电压的-2.2倍时,合成电压为直流电压的-1.2倍,由于冲击电压升压速度很快,在叠加冲击电压时电场极性发生瞬间反转。极性反转以后初始的同极性电荷变成异极性电荷,界面电场增大,电荷从电极抽出;初始的异极性电荷变成同极性电荷,材料内部电场增大,电荷向内部移动。随着异极性冲击电压的升压与降压,合成电场也在不断的反转,试样相当于承受周期性的正负幅值不同的双极性电压的作用,电荷在试样体内不断的注入与抽出,无法形成电荷的累积,其分布基本没有变化。
对直流叠加同极性与异极性冲击电压去压后短路10 min的电荷分布进行平均电荷密度的计算,结果如图12所示。
图12可知,同极性叠加方式下XLPE体内的残余电荷量远大于异极性叠加方式。且无论外施直流电场极性如何,负冲击电压叠加时XLPE体内积聚的电荷量更多,表明负极性冲击电压对空间电荷的激励作用更为显著。
(1)正直流电压XLPE体内以异极性电荷为主,负直流电压下SC侧电极出现了同极性电荷注入和迁移现象。
(2)冲击电压作用下,XLPE体内以双电极上同极性电荷注入为主。冲击电压幅值越高,体内积聚的同极性电荷量越多。且同一冲击电压下,除电荷极性发生反转外,正、负冲击电压作用下XLPE体内积聚电荷量基本相同。
(3)直流叠加冲击电压下,同极性叠加方式比异极性叠加方式更能促进电极上同极性电荷的注入,短路后体内积聚的电荷量更多。且无论外施直流电场极性如何,负冲击电压叠加时XLPE体内积聚的电荷量更多。
