To study the fiber characteristics of insulating wood pulp during the beating process and their impact on the properties of electrolytic capacitor separator, fibers with different beating degree were prepared using a Valley beater to prepare electrolytic capacitor separators, and their mechanical properties and electrical properties were tested. The results show that with the increase of beating time, the beating degree of the insulating wood pulp increase, leading to the decrease of fiber length and the increase of brooming degree. With the increase of beating degree, the surface pore structure of the prepared separators significantly decreases, while the density, tensile strength, and electric strength of the separators increase. In addition, with the increase of beating degree, the liquid absorption performance of the separators decreases, and the equivalent series resistance (ESR) per unit thickness increases.

为研究绝缘木浆打浆过程中纤维特性及其对电解电容隔膜性能的影响,通过Valley打浆机获得不同打浆度的纤维用以制备电解电容隔膜,并测试其力学性能及电气性能等关键指标。结果表明:随着打浆时间的增加,绝缘木浆的打浆度提高,纤维长度降低,帚化度上升。随着打浆度的提高,所制备的隔膜表面孔隙结构明显减少,隔膜的紧度、抗张强度及电气强度提高。此外,随着打浆度的提高,隔膜的吸液性能下降,单位厚度的等效串联电阻(ESR)提高。

To study the fiber characteristics of insulating wood pulp during the beating process and their impact on the properties of electrolytic capacitor separator, fibers with different beating degree were prepared using a Valley beater to prepare electrolytic capacitor separators, and their mechanical properties and electrical properties were tested. The results show that with the increase of beating time, the beating degree of the insulating wood pulp increase, leading to the decrease of fiber length and the increase of brooming degree. With the increase of beating degree, the surface pore structure of the prepared separators significantly decreases, while the density, tensile strength, and electric strength of the separators increase. In addition, with the increase of beating degree, the liquid absorption performance of the separators decreases, and the equivalent series resistance (ESR) per unit thickness increases.

随着新能源等产业的蓬勃发展,电容器因其功率密度高、工作温度范围宽、可靠性高等优点而广泛应用于储能领域。随着国内铝电解电容器的市场容量越来越大,对其关键材料电解电容隔膜的需求量持续增加[1-2]。电解电容隔膜作为铝电解电容器的核心材料,一方面在电容器中起到隔离阴、阳极,防止两极接触而短路的作用,另一方面通过吸附电解液作为阴极载体,因此电容隔膜的性能对铝电解电容器的性能影响很大[3-4]
绝缘木浆因其来源广泛、可再生、生物相容性好的优点,广泛用于制备电解电容隔膜等绝缘材料。为了将木浆原料加工成满足性能要求的隔膜,通常需要对其进行打浆处理。其中机械打浆是一种操作简单、成本较低且不产生污染的处理方式。大量的研究表明打浆过程中纤维经受机械力的作用而产生切断、压溃、润胀和细纤维化等变化,导致纤维的关键参数发生变化,从而将直接影响所制备隔膜的关键性能指标[5-7]。李政等[8]研究了酸性亚硫酸盐针叶木浆的打浆性能及其对烘焙原纸紧度、透明度、强度、平滑度的影响,探究了酸性亚硫酸盐针叶木浆作为烘焙原纸纤维原料的可行性和优劣势;李迪等[9]研究了机械处理对纤维素纤维中羟基可及性的影响规律,结果表明增大机械处理压力及延长机械处理时间能够有效提高纤维羟基的可及性。
本文通过制备不同打浆度的绝缘木浆纤维及其对应的电解电容隔膜,研究打浆度、纤维参数对隔膜性能的影响,并探究打浆过程对隔膜性能的影响机理,为调控隔膜的性能以满足不同应用场景的需求提供参考。
木浆,内蒙古大兴安岭浆纸有限公司;乙二醇、N,N-二甲基甲酰胺,均为分析纯,湖南汇虹试剂有限公司;马来酸铵,批号为20220416,武汉拉那白医药华工有限公司。
S40130型Valley打浆机、PN-SDJ100型打浆度测试仪、S95568型标准疏解机、S95854型纸页成型器、S16502型厚度仪、S81502型卧式抗张强度测试仪,德国Frank-PTI公司;FS500纤维质量分析仪,芬兰Valmet公司;IBV-2/10型击穿电压测试仪,桂林电器科学研究院有限公司;IMT-MXXS01型纸张毛细吸水率测定仪,东莞市IMT公司;E4980A型 LCR数字电桥、16451B电介质材料测试夹具,美国Keysight公司;EVO18型扫描电镜,德国Carl Zeiss公司;CFP-1100-A型孔径分析仪,美国PMI公司;JYH-127Frontier型傅里叶变换红外光谱仪,美国PerkinElmer公司。
将绝干质量为530 g的绝缘木浆浆板浸泡16 h,然后将浆料转移至Valley打浆机,加水至23 L,设置打浆浓度为2.30%。启动Valley打浆机,设置加载质量为5.5 kg,记录打浆时间及其对应的打浆度。
将指定打浆度的木浆用纤维疏解机以3 000 r/min的转速疏解5 000 r,采用纸页成型器制备定量约为20 g/m2的隔膜。
使用打浆度测试仪,依据GB/T 3332—2004测试木浆的打浆度。
依据GB/T 451.2—2023测试隔膜的定量(G),使用裁切器将隔膜裁切成面积为0.01 m2的小圆片,称取质量M,通过G=M/0.01计算隔膜定量。
采用厚度仪,依据GB/T 451.3—2002测试隔膜的厚度。
使用卧式抗张强度测试仪,依据GB/T 12914—2018测试隔膜的抗张强度,隔膜的宽度为15 mm,设定拉伸距离为180 mm,拉伸速度为20 mm/min。
使用孔径分析仪测试隔膜的孔径,基于气液排驱技术原理,首先使用标准浸润液将样品完全润湿,然后使用气体对样品孔道内的浸润液进行挤压。通过测试气体的压力和流量的变化关系,反映隔膜的孔径分布情况。
使用吸液高度仪,依据GB/T 461.1—2002测试隔膜的吸液高度,取宽度为15 mm的样品,将其垂直悬挂,测试10 min时的毛细吸液高度。
使用击穿电压测试仪,依据GB/T 3333—1999测试隔膜的电气强度,使用双层隔膜测试,设置量程为2 kV,采用连续升压方式,升压速度为100 V/s,采用击穿电压(U)除以隔膜厚度(d)计算电气强度(E)。
等效串联电阻(ESR)测试:按照乙二醇、N,N-二甲基甲酰胺、马来酸铵的质量分数分别为47.5%、47.5%、5%配置电解液。将隔膜样品裁剪为面积为38 mm2的圆片,将其平整放入装有电解液的称量瓶中,浸泡24 h,使用LCR数字电桥进行ESR值测试,记录ESR数值。
图1是绝缘木浆打浆过程打浆度随时间的变化。从图1可以看出,木浆初始打浆度为12°SR,随着打浆时间的增加,打浆度不断增大,打浆度在前期(低于70°SR)增大速率较快,打浆速率约为0.20°SR/min;打浆度高于70°SR时,打浆速率降低至约0.06°SR/min,打浆度增大趋势减缓。分析其原因,在打浆机刀片的剪切、挤压作用下,纤维的细纤维化和润胀程度增大,暴露出羟基,有利于增强纤维与水分子的氢键作用,使纤维在滤水过程中形成更加致密的滤层,导致纤维滤水困难,打浆度增大。
图2是打浆度变化过程中纤维长度和帚化度的变化情况。从图2可以看出,随着打浆度的增大,纤维长度减小。打浆度从12°SR增大至60°SR的过程中,纤维平均长度从初始的2.176 mm减小至2.016 mm,减小了7.4%;随着打浆度继续增大,纤维长度急剧减小,最终减小至1.682 mm,相比打浆度为60°SR时减小了16.6%。从图2还可以看出,帚化度随着打浆度的增大持续上升,最终帚化度为3.70%,较初始帚化度(0.99%)提高了2.7倍。
图3是不同打浆度纤维的微观形貌。从图3(a)可以看出,木浆纤维未经打浆处理时,呈现扁平带状结构,纤维宽度较大而厚度较薄。在打浆初期,打浆作用使水分子渗透至纤维细胞壁的层间,破坏了纤维素分子间的氢键,导致纤维吸水膨胀,纤维宽度略微增加,如图3(b)所示。随着打浆过程的进行,机械摩擦剥离纤维表面微纤丝,即纤维分丝帚化,同时在高剪切力作用下,纤维纵向断裂,长度减小,如图3(c)~(d)所示。
图4是不同打浆度纤维的FTIR图谱。从图4可以看出,不同打浆度的纤维都具有典型的纤维素特征吸收峰,且不同打浆度下,典型的纤维素特征吸收峰未发生明显改变,说明打浆未对纤维的官能团种类产生显著影响。图4中,波数3 000~3 800 cm-1处属于O-H伸缩振动,主要由分子内和分子间的氢键组成[10],分子内氢键O(2)H···O(6)、O(3)H···O(5)和分子间氢键O(6)H···O(3′)特征吸收谱带分别在3 455~3 410 cm-1、3 375~3 340 cm-1和3 310~3 230 cm-1处。通过对FTIR图的氢键区域进行高斯分峰拟合,统计各氢键相对百分含量,得到未打浆纤维及打浆度为30、60、90°SR的纤维分子间氢键含量分别为39.1%、46.6%、50.3%、58.0%。结果表明,随着打浆度的增大,分子间氢键含量呈现增加的趋势。
表1是不同打浆度下纤维长度的分布占比情况。从表1可以看出,打浆度为12°SR和60°SR时,纤维的长度分布无明显差别;打浆度为92°SR时,过长纤维(3.2~7.6 mm)明显减少,细小纤维(0~0.2 mm)明显增多。表明该木浆在打浆处理过程中的关键变化点在60°SR,其前后的纤维参数变化较大。
图5是不同打浆度下隔膜的扫描电镜图。从图5可以看出,随着打浆度的提高,纤维宽度变小,细纤维增加,隔膜表面孔隙明显减少,打浆度增大至70°SR以后,隔膜表面无明显孔隙,纤维排布更为致密。
表2是隔膜在不同打浆度下的厚度变化。从表2可以看出,随着打浆度的增大,隔膜的定量基本一致,厚度呈减小趋势。打浆度为30°SR时,隔膜的厚度为40.1 μm;打浆度为92°SR时,厚度为27.6 μm,定量变化很小,厚度下降了31%。
图6是隔膜在不同打浆度下的紧度及抗张强度变化。从图6可以看出,随着打浆度的增大,隔膜的紧度提高。当打浆度从30°SR增大到92°SR时,由图5可知,纤维长度快速减小,细小纤维含量逐渐增加,打浆产生的细小纤维在纤维之间形成薄膜,导致隔膜的致密程度逐渐增加,隔膜的紧度从0.55 g/cm3上升到0.73 g/cm3,提升了32.7%。从图6还可以看出,当打浆度从30°SR增大到92°SR时,隔膜的抗张强度从0.80 kN/m上升到1.91 kN/m,其中前期增长平缓,打浆度达到60°SR以后开始急速上升,从0.81 kN/m上升至1.91 kN/m,提升了约1.4倍。这是由于打浆处理会破坏纤维表面的角质层,暴露出更多羟基,促进了干燥过程中氢键的形成,使纤维之间的结合力不断增强,因此隔膜的抗张强度提高[11]
图7是隔膜的电气强度随打浆度的变化曲线。从图7可以看出,随着打浆度的增大,隔膜的电气强度先缓慢上升而后急剧升高。当打浆度从30°SR增大到92°SR时,隔膜的电气强度从7.0 kV/mm上升至22.0 kV/mm,提高了2.1倍。纤维分丝帚化率的不断提高和细小纤维的增多使得纤维之间的交叠程度更高,隔膜的紧度不断提升,纤维界面孔隙逐渐减小,细小纤维的增多增加了纤维的比表面积,分子间氢键增加,纤维之间的连接更为紧密,因此电荷在纤维之间的移动更困难[12-13]
表3是不同打浆度下隔膜的孔径变化。从表3可以看出,随着打浆度的增大,隔膜的平均孔径及最大孔径均减小,平均孔径减小率(各打浆度下,隔膜的平均孔径相对上一打浆度下隔膜平均孔径的减小率)呈增大趋势。这是因为随着打浆度提高,纤维长度明显减小,纤维直径也出现轻微减小,同时在打浆过程中,纤维发生不同程度的吸水润胀、细纤维化,使其表面暴露出更多的羟基,纤维之间的结合力增加,隔膜结构更紧密,孔径逐渐变小。当打浆度从30°SR增大到50°SR时,隔膜平均孔径减小了19.0%;当打浆度从50°SR增大到80°SR时,隔膜平均孔径减小了97.6%。打浆度为80°SR时,最大孔径减小至0.41 μm,表明隔膜中已无大孔存在,拥有良好的隔离性能。
图8是隔膜吸液高度的变化曲线。从图8可以看出,隔膜的吸液高度随着打浆度的增大而均匀下降,与紧度的变化规律相反。这是因为随着隔膜紧度提高,隔膜的孔隙减小,吸液高度降低。当打 浆度从30°SR增大到92°SR时,吸液高度从13.4 mm/10 min下降至1.3 mm/10 min,吸液高度下降了90.3%,最高打浆度的隔膜吸液能力较弱。
隔膜的ESR直接影响到电解液离子的通过,对电容器的效率和寿命有重要影响,因此测量隔膜的ESR十分重要。图9是隔膜单位厚度ESR的变化曲线。从图9可以看出,随着打浆度的增大,隔膜的单位厚度ESR增大。当打浆度从30°SR增大至92°SR时,隔膜单位厚度的ESR从33.25 mΩ/μm增大至42.92 mΩ/μm,增大了29.0%。这是因为隔膜的ESR主要反映离子在隔膜的孔隙中迁移的难易程度,随着打浆度的增大,隔膜纤维排布致密,孔隙减少,孔径减小,隔膜内的离子通道减少,阻碍了离子的迁移,导致隔膜单位厚度的ESR增大,离子通过性降低[14]
(1)通过打浆机对绝缘木浆施加剪切、挤压等作用力,使纤维分散、切断和分丝帚化,改变纤维形态。随着打浆时间的延长,打浆度不断提高,纤维长度进一步减小,帚化度显著增加,分子间氢键作用增强,打浆度为92°SR时,纤维长度为1.682 mm,帚化度为3.7%。
(2)不同打浆度的浆料所制备的木浆隔膜其各项性能存在差异。随着打浆度的提高,隔膜的紧度增加,92°SR隔膜的抗张强度及电气强度较30°SR隔膜提高了1倍以上,隔膜的孔径降低,吸液性能下降,单位厚度的ESR提高。
