To prepare epoxy resin-based composites with excellent comprehensive properties, this study synthesized dendritic nanosilica (DSiO2) via a dual-template method and applied them to modify epoxy resin (EP). The relationship between structure and property of the composites was investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and nitrogen adsorption-desorption tests. The results indicate that after modification with the silane coupling agent Z-6040, DSiO2 exhibits excellent dispersibility in epoxy resin. As the mass fraction of DSiO2 increases from 0 to 0.9%, the onset curing temperature of the composite decreases from 160.7℃ to 111.3, and the peak temperature decreases from 196.3℃ to 159.6℃; the tensile strength increases from 24.2 MPa to 53.6 MPa, the elongation at break increases from 10.5% to 13.5%, and the Rockwell hardness increases from 85.1 to 91.5. Compared with the unmodified EP, the DSiO2/EP composites exhibit significantly increased storage modulus, a glass transition temperature (Tg) that shifts toward higher temperature, and enhanced thermal stability.

为了制备综合性能优异的环氧树脂基复合材料,本研究采用双模板法合成了树枝状纳米二氧化硅(DSiO2),并将其用于改性环氧树脂(EP)。通过傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、透射电子显微镜(TEM)及氮气吸附-脱附测试,研究复合材料的结构与性能的关系。结果表明:经硅烷偶联剂Z-6040改性后,DSiO2在环氧树脂中的分散性优异。当DSiO2质量分数从0增至0.9%时,复合材料的固化起始温度从160.7℃降至111.3℃,峰值温度从196.3℃降至159.6℃;拉伸强度从24.2 MPa提升至53.6 MPa,断裂伸长率从10.5%增至13.5%,洛氏硬度从85.1提升至91.5。相比未改性EP,DSiO2/EP复合材料的储能模量显著提高,玻璃化转变温度(Tg)向高温方向移动,热稳定性增强。

为了制备综合性能优异的环氧树脂基复合材料,本研究采用双模板法合成了树枝状纳米二氧化硅(DSiO2),并将其用于改性环氧树脂(EP)。通过傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、透射电子显微镜(TEM)及氮气吸附-脱附测试,研究复合材料的结构与性能的关系。结果表明:经硅烷偶联剂Z-6040改性后,DSiO2在环氧树脂中的分散性优异。当DSiO2质量分数从0增至0.9%时,复合材料的固化起始温度从160.7℃降至111.3℃,峰值温度从196.3℃降至159.6℃;拉伸强度从24.2 MPa提升至53.6 MPa,断裂伸长率从10.5%增至13.5%,洛氏硬度从85.1提升至91.5。相比未改性EP,DSiO2/EP复合材料的储能模量显著提高,玻璃化转变温度(Tg)向高温方向移动,热稳定性增强。

To prepare epoxy resin-based composites with excellent comprehensive properties, this study synthesized dendritic nanosilica (DSiO2) via a dual-template method and applied them to modify epoxy resin (EP). The relationship between structure and property of the composites was investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and nitrogen adsorption-desorption tests. The results indicate that after modification with the silane coupling agent Z-6040, DSiO2 exhibits excellent dispersibility in epoxy resin. As the mass fraction of DSiO2 increases from 0 to 0.9%, the onset curing temperature of the composite decreases from 160.7℃ to 111.3, and the peak temperature decreases from 196.3℃ to 159.6℃; the tensile strength increases from 24.2 MPa to 53.6 MPa, the elongation at break increases from 10.5% to 13.5%, and the Rockwell hardness increases from 85.1 to 91.5. Compared with the unmodified EP, the DSiO2/EP composites exhibit significantly increased storage modulus, a glass transition temperature (Tg) that shifts toward higher temperature, and enhanced thermal stability.

环氧树脂(EP)作为一种高性能热固性树脂,具有优异的力学性能、化学稳定性、电绝缘性及粘结性,被广泛应用于电子封装、复合材料、涂料、胶粘剂等领域[1-3]。然而,纯环氧树脂存在脆性较高、抗冲击性能不足、高温下易发生形变等缺点,限制了其在高端工程领域的进一步应用[4-6]。为克服这些不足,通过纳米材料对环氧树脂进行改性已成为研究热点[7-8],其中纳米二氧化硅(SiO2)因来源广泛、成本低廉且能有效提升材料强度与热稳定性,被视为理想的改性填料[9-12]。现有研究中,用于环氧树脂改性的常规纳米二氧化硅多为实心结构,其比表面积受粒径限制(通常仅为50 m2/g左右)[13-15],与环氧树脂基体的界面作用较弱,且难以实现功能性负载,改性效果存在瓶颈[16-17]。相比之下,介孔二氧化硅凭借规则的纳米孔道结构、超高比表面积及可控的孔隙率,在复合材料领域展现出独特优势:一方面,其大比表面积可增强与基体的界面结合;另一方面,介孔结构可作为“微容器”负载固化剂、阻燃剂等功能性分子,实现材料性能的多功能调控。然而,目前关于介孔二氧化硅,尤其是具有特殊形貌的树枝状介孔二氧化硅对环氧树脂固化行为、力学性能及动态力学性能的系统研究仍较为匮乏,其改性机理尚未明确。基于此,本文采用双模板法合成具有中心-径向树枝状孔道结构的纳米二氧化硅(DSiO2),通过硅烷偶联剂进行表面改性,提升其与环氧树脂的相容性。然后系统研究DSiO2在环氧树脂中的分散性能,并探究其对复合材料固化行为、力学性能及动态力学性能的影响规律,揭示树枝状介孔结构与改性效果之间的构效关系,为制备高性能环氧树脂基复合材料提供理论依据与实验支持。
双酚A型环氧树脂(EP),牌号为E51,德源化工有限公司;甲基四氢邻苯二甲酸酐(MTHPA),常熟市嘉发化工有限公司;硅烷偶联剂,牌号为Z-6040,美国道康宁公司;三乙醇胺(TEOA)、十六烷基三甲基溴化铵(CTAB)、水杨酸钠(NaSal)、正硅酸乙酯(TEOS)、无水乙醇、盐酸,均为分析级,成都科隆化学品有限公司。
傅里叶变换红外光谱仪(FTIR),Frontier Discovery型,PerkinElmer公司;X射线光电子能谱仪(XPS),ESCALAB 250型,Thermo Fisher Scientific公司;透射电子显微镜(TEM),Tecnai G2 F20型,FEI公司;扫描电子显微镜(SEM),Gemini 300型,Carl Zeiss公司;全自动比表面及孔隙度分析仪,ASAP2460型,Micromeritics公司;差示扫描量热仪(DSC),DSC3+型,Mettler Toledo公司;电子万能试验机,CMT6104型,MTS Systems公司;动态力学测试仪(DMA),Q800型,TA Instruments公司。
参考文献[18],使用双模板法制备单分散树枝状大孔纳米二氧化硅(DSiO2)。首先将0.8 g三乙醇胺(TEOA)溶解在40 mL去离子水中。然后将混合溶液放置在80℃的油浴中,以500 r/min的转速连续搅拌30 min。随后加入0.608 g十六烷基三甲基溴化铵(CTAB)并搅拌1 h,再加入0.060 8 g水杨酸钠(NaSal)作为辅助模板,继续搅拌3 h。接着滴加6.4 mL正硅酸乙酯(TEOS)到溶液中并进行20 min的水解。将产物以15 000 r/min的速度离心15 min,并用乙醇洗涤3次,得到带有模板的树枝状纳米二氧化硅(记为DSiO2-T)。使用盐酸-乙醇溶液(HCl质量分数为10%)对DSiO2-T进行进一步纯化,在80℃下洗涤8 h,并重复此过程多次,直至完全去除CTAB。将产物置于50℃烘箱中干燥,烘干后研磨得到纯净的树枝状纳米二氧化硅(DSiO2)。最后,使用硅烷偶联剂Z-6040对DSiO2进行进一步的表面改性,得到最终产物。
将DSiO2与环氧树脂(EP)混合,在室温下高速搅拌。之后按EP质量的20%向体系中加入酸酐类固化剂MTHPA,并搅拌均匀以获得混合物。控制DSiO2的加入量为EP和固化剂总质量的0.3%、0.6%、0.9%,所得样品分别命名为0.3DSiO2/EP、0.6DSiO2/EP、0.9DSiO2/EP。随后对混合物进行DSC升温固化测试,在120℃下固化6 h,然后将得到的固化样品进行力学性能测试、动态力学性能测试和硬度测试。
图1是DSiO2的FTIR和XPS谱图。从图1(a)可以看出,在1 078 cm-1处的强峰对应于Si-O-Si的非对称伸缩振动,959 cm-1处的峰为Si-OH的弯曲振动,3 200~3 600 cm-1处的宽峰则同时反映了Si-OH以及少量来自水分子的-OH的存在。对于未除模板的DSiO2-T,2 926 cm-1和2 854 cm-1处的峰对应于C-H的伸缩振动,而1 450 cm-1处的峰对应于C-H的弯曲振动。上述结果说明了DSiO2的成功合成,以及CTAB和NaSal模板的完全去除。从图1(b)可以看出,位于102.0、153.5、284.8、531.9 eV处的特征峰分别对应于Si 2p、Si 2s、C 1s、O 1s。该结果验证了所合成DSiO2的化学结构的一致性和可靠性。
采用扫描电子显微镜(SEM)和透射电子显微镜(TEM)对DSiO2的形貌结构进行表征,并用软件进行粒径统计分析,结果如图2所示。从图2可以看出,DSiO2的平均粒径为(47.2±3.6)nm。TEM图中呈现出清晰的中心-径向的树枝状孔道结构[18],这种独特结构是由胶束渗透效应导致的,在合成过程中,后添加的辅助模板(NaSal)整合到主模板(CTAB)胶束内部,引发了胶束结构转变,硅前驱体(TEOS)沿模板吸附并生长,最终形成了具有向外辐射的树枝状孔道结构的SiO2纳米粒子。
采用氮气吸附比表面测试(BET)表征DSiO2的结构特征信息,结果如图3(a)所示。从图3(a)可以看出,DSiO2的等温线表现出明显的脱附滞后现象,属于IV型等温线,说明纳米粒子具有内部孔隙结构。通过BET比表面积分析,发现DSiO2的比表面积为862.1 m2/g,远高于普通纳米SiO2的比表面积(约为50 m2/g)。从图3(b)可以看出,DSiO2呈现较宽的孔径分布和无突增的孔容变化,表明其具有分层次的孔隙结构,有助于提高材料的吸附性能以及表面积利用率。
将DSiO2分散在环氧树脂中,并进行超声分散处理,制备成DSiO2质量分数分别为0.3%、0.6%、0.9%、1.2%的DSiO2/EP混合物,使用激光笔对其进行照射,观察分散液的丁达尔现象,评价DSiO2的分散性,结果如图4(a)所示。从图4(a)可以看出,对于DSiO2质量分数为0.3%~1.2%的混合物,激光入射时都观察到清晰笔直的光路,说明DSiO2在环氧树脂中分散均匀,且DSiO2的分散尺寸在光波长量级附近。进一步将不同浓度的DSiO2/EP混合物在室温下静置15天,考察长期放置时DSiO2的分散稳定性。从图4(b)可以看出,当DSiO2质量分数为0.9%时,经过15天的放置,DSiO2依然可以稳定分散。当DSiO2的质量分数更高时,其会逐渐发生团聚并倾向于沉积在容器底部。因此,在后续复合材料制备研究中,均选用0.9%作为DSiO2的最大添加量。
使用DSC热分析研究EP及其复合材料的升温固化行为,固化曲线如图5所示,相关数据列于表1。从图5表1可以看出,所有样品的DSC固化曲线均呈现典型的放热峰,对应环氧树脂与固化剂MTHPA的开环聚合反应。随着DSiO2添加量增大,放热峰整体向低温方向移动,表明固化反应在更低温度下即可发生并完成。
随着DSiO2质量分数从0增至0.9%,复合材料的固化起始温度降低49.4℃,固化峰值温度降低36.7℃,固化终止温度降低23.4℃,说明DSiO2的添加量越大,对环氧树脂固化反应的促进作用越显著,使固化过程在更低温度下启动、达到反应高峰和结束。DSiO2的添加能显著降低环氧树脂固化温度,可能源于其结构特性与界面作用的协同效应:其比表面积高达862.1 m2/g,经硅烷偶联剂Z-6040改性后,表面富含与环氧树脂相容性良好的基团,可与环氧树脂分子或固化剂MTHPA形成界面相互作用,为固化反应提供大量活性位点;同时,其树枝状介孔结构(孔径分布宽,孔容为2.05 cm3/g)可吸附固化剂MTHPA,提高局部固化剂浓度,加快反应速率;加之DSiO2在EP中分散均匀(DSiO2质量分数在0.9%以内时无明显团聚),避免了因局部填料聚集导致的反应不均,确保固化促进作用在整体体系中的有效发挥,从而使固化反应在更低温度下即可发生并完成。
对EP及其复合材料进行力学性能测试,结果如图6表2所示。
图6表2可以看出,随着DSiO2添加量的增大,复合材料的力学性能呈现单调递增趋势。纯EP的拉伸强度为24.2 MPa,添加DSiO2后,0.3DSiO2/EP、0.6DSiO2/EP和0.9DSiO2/EP的拉伸强度分别提升至35.8、45.0、53.6 MPa,增幅分别为47.9%、86.0%、121.5%。纯EP的断裂伸长率为10.5%,0.3DSiO2/EP、0.6DSiO2/EP和0.9DSiO2/EP的断裂伸长率分别增至12.6%、13.3%、13.5%,表明材料在提升拉伸强度的同时仍保持一定韧性。纯EP的洛氏硬度为85.1,0.3DSiO2/EP、0.6DSiO2/EP和0.9DSiO2/EP的洛氏硬度分别提高至88.5、90.4、91.5,表明复合材料表面硬度随填料添加量增加而增强。DSiO2对环氧树脂力学性能的显著提升,可能源于其结构优势与界面协同作用:基于其862.1 m2/g的高比表面积,经硅烷偶联剂Z-6040改性后,DSiO2表面基团可与环氧树脂分子形成化学结合,从而增强界面粘结力以传递应力;独特的中心-径向树枝状孔道结构可以通过机械互锁与基体紧密结合,在外力作用时分散吸收能量、减少裂纹扩展;DSiO2在质量分数为0.9%以内时可在环氧树脂中均匀分散,无明显团聚,确保应力均匀传递,避免因团聚形成缺陷点,从而同步提升拉伸强度、韧性与硬度[19-20]
通过分析EP及不同DSiO2添加量复合材料的储能模量和损耗因子(tanδ)随温度的变化,探究DSiO2对EP动态力学行为的影响,结果如图7所示。从图7(a)可以看出,所有样品的储能模量均随温度升高呈下降趋势,反映了高分子材料随温度升高从玻璃态向高弹态转变的特性,此时刚性降低。其中添加DSiO2的复合材料储能模量显著高于纯EP,且随添加量增大而单调递增,表明DSiO2的加入增强了材料的刚性和结构稳定性。
损耗因子(tanδ)曲线的峰值对应材料的玻璃化转变温度(Tg),反映分子链段运动的活跃程度。从图7(b)可以看出,随DSiO2添加量增大,tanδ峰值向高温方向移动(Tg升高),且峰值强度降低,表明DSiO2与环氧树脂基体的强界面作用限制了分子链段的运动,使材料需在更高温度下才发生玻璃化转变,热稳定性提升。
动态力学性能优化的本质是DSiO2的结构特性及其与基体界面协同作用的结果:其一,经硅烷偶联剂Z-6040改性后,DSiO2表面有机基团与环氧树脂分子形成稳固的化学结合,构建了“刚性粒子-柔性基体”的强界面结合层,该结合层可有效传递外力,减少温度变化过程中基体内部的应力松弛,从而显著提升储能模量;其二,独特的中心-径向树枝状孔道结构形成机械锚定效应,孔道内填充的环氧树脂固化后与孔壁紧密咬合,进一步增强了粒子与基体的界面粘结强度,限制了高分子链段的滑移与转动;其三,均匀分散的纳米粒子在基体中形成物理交联点,构建了三维网络支撑结构,这种结构在温度升高时可阻碍分子链段的协同运动,延缓玻璃化转变过程,使得Tg向高温偏移,同时降低tanδ峰值强度,最终实现材料刚性与热稳定性的同步提升。
本研究采用双模板法合成了树枝状纳米二氧化硅,并将其用于环氧树脂的改性研究,系统分析了复合材料的结构与性能的关系,具体结论如下:
(1)采用双模板法成功合成具有中心-径向树枝状孔道结构的DSiO2纳米粒子;经硅烷偶联剂Z-6040改性后,DSiO2在环氧树脂中的分散性优异,在质量分数为0.9%以内时可稳定分散15天以上。
(2)固化动力学研究结果表明,DSiO2显著影响了环氧树脂的固化行为,随质量分数由0增至0.9%,复合材料的固化温度显著下降。
(3)力学性能测试结果表明,DSiO2显著提升了环氧树脂的力学性能,在DSiO2质量分数为0.9%时,复合材料的拉伸强度由24.2 MPa提升至53.6 MPa,增幅达121.5%;断裂伸长率由10.5%增至13.5%;洛氏硬度由85.1提升至91.5,强度、韧性与硬度同步改善。
(4)DSiO2可有效增强环氧树脂的动态力学与热稳定性能,复合材料的储能模量显著提高,玻璃化转变温度(Tg)向高温方向移动,损耗因子峰值降低,分子链段运动受限程度提升,材料刚性与热稳定性明显增强。
综上所述,DSiO2凭借高比表面积、独特树枝状介孔结构、良好分散性及强界面结合作用,在低添加量下可实现环氧树脂固化行为、力学性能与动态力学性能的协同优化,为高性能环氧树脂基绝缘复合材料的制备与工程应用提供了理论与实验支撑。
