Low-frequency cable is a key equipment in the flexible low-frequency AC transmission system, and the characteristics of insulation medium under low-frequency voltage are of great significance to the design and operation of cable. In order to study the growth and partial discharge characteristics of electrical tree in cross-linked polyethylene under low-frequency voltage, a real-time observation system for electrical tree growth at different frequencies and a synchronous measurement system for partial discharge were designed and constructed. The initiation, growth, and partial discharge characteristics of electrical tree in XLPE samples were investigated at four frequencies of 20, 30, 40, and 50 Hz. The results show that the influence of voltage frequency on the growth and partial discharge characteristics of electrical tree in XLPE has obvious rules. In the range of 20-50 Hz, with the decrease of voltage frequency, the tree starting voltage of XLPE increases slightly, but the growth rate of electrical tree is accelerated, the damage area increases, the amount and number of partial discharge increase, and the partial discharge phase is basically unchanged.

低频电缆作为柔性低频交流输电系统中的关键设备,其绝缘介质在低频电压下的特性对电缆的设计和运行具有重要意义。为了研究低频电压下交联聚乙烯(XLPE)电树枝的生长及局部放电特性,设计并搭建了不同频率下电树枝生长实时观测和局部放电同步测量系统,探究了XLPE试样分别在20、30、40、50 Hz频率下电树枝的引发、生长及局部放电特性。结果表明:电压频率对XLPE电树枝生长及局部放电特性的影响有明显规律性。在20~50 Hz范围内,随着频率的降低,XLPE的起树电压略有升高,但电树枝生长速度加快,损伤面积增加,局部放电量和放电次数增大,放电相位分布基本不变。

低频电缆作为柔性低频交流输电系统中的关键设备,其绝缘介质在低频电压下的特性对电缆的设计和运行具有重要意义。为了研究低频电压下交联聚乙烯(XLPE)电树枝的生长及局部放电特性,设计并搭建了不同频率下电树枝生长实时观测和局部放电同步测量系统,探究了XLPE试样分别在20、30、40、50 Hz频率下电树枝的引发、生长及局部放电特性。结果表明:电压频率对XLPE电树枝生长及局部放电特性的影响有明显规律性。在20~50 Hz范围内,随着频率的降低,XLPE的起树电压略有升高,但电树枝生长速度加快,损伤面积增加,局部放电量和放电次数增大,放电相位分布基本不变。

Low-frequency cable is a key equipment in the flexible low-frequency AC transmission system, and the characteristics of insulation medium under low-frequency voltage are of great significance to the design and operation of cable. In order to study the growth and partial discharge characteristics of electrical tree in cross-linked polyethylene under low-frequency voltage, a real-time observation system for electrical tree growth at different frequencies and a synchronous measurement system for partial discharge were designed and constructed. The initiation, growth, and partial discharge characteristics of electrical tree in XLPE samples were investigated at four frequencies of 20, 30, 40, and 50 Hz. The results show that the influence of voltage frequency on the growth and partial discharge characteristics of electrical tree in XLPE has obvious rules. In the range of 20-50 Hz, with the decrease of voltage frequency, the tree starting voltage of XLPE increases slightly, but the growth rate of electrical tree is accelerated, the damage area increases, the amount and number of partial discharge increase, and the partial discharge phase is basically unchanged.

柔性低频交流输电技术是一种基于电压源型换流器的新型交流输电技术,其兼顾了工频输电与直流输电的优点,是交、直流输电技术的有益补充,对海上风电送出、海岛互联、城市电网的发展等具有重要意义[1-2]。“分频输电”技术由我国王锡凡院士于20世纪90年代首次提出[3],经过国内外学者30余年的深入研究,2021年,世界首个20 Hz柔性低频输电工程落点浙江杭州。低频电缆作为柔性低频输电系统中的关键输变电设备之一,其绝缘介质在低频环境中的绝缘特性对电缆的设计和运行维护至关重要。目前,针对电缆主要绝缘材料XLPE在低频电压下的绝缘特性缺乏深入研究。因此,探究XLPE在低频电压下的电树枝生长及局部放电特性对确保低频电缆的安全稳定运行具有重要意义。
国内外学者对聚合物的电树枝生长和局部放电特性等方面开展了大量研究,并取得了诸多研究成果[4-13]。陈向荣等[14-16]研究指出不同温度与电压稳定剂对XLPE电树枝生长和局部放电有显著影响。刘贺晨等[17-18]对直流叠加交流时XLPE电树枝生长与局部放电特性开展了深入研究,指出当直流电缆中含有交流分量时会对其绝缘造成威胁。周远翔等[19]研究了硅橡胶电树枝分形维数等老化特征与局部放电量和放电次数等特征的对应关系。N A AWANG等[20]对添加有机蒙脱土的硅橡胶电树枝生长和局部放电特性开展了研究,结果表明纳米复合材料的添加可以有效抑制电树枝生长阶段的局部放电。
在柔性低频输电系统中,电缆运行于20 Hz的低频电压下,XLPE作为其主要绝缘材料,频率的降低将对XLPE的绝缘特性造成影响。已有学者研究了不同频率下电缆绝缘的电树枝老化特性。周远翔等[21]分析了XLPE在50 Hz~90 kHz下电树枝的生长特性,指出电树枝的起始形态与频率密切相关。聂琼等[22-23]在频率为50 Hz~130 kHz的电压作用下对硅橡胶电树枝的引发特性进行了分析,结果表明电树枝的起树电压随频率的升高而降低。鲍明晖等[24]研究了高频电压下XLPE电树枝的形态特性,提出纯藤枝状电树枝只在高频电压下出现。以上研究都是针对频率为50 Hz及以上的电压作用下绝缘材料电树枝的生长特性进行的探讨,但对低频20 Hz电压下XLPE绝缘特性的研究还鲜有报道,对20~50 Hz频率段电压作用下XLPE电树枝的生长规律和局部放电特性缺乏深入研究。
基于此,本研究搭建了频率可控的XLPE电树枝-局部放电实时观测采集平台,利用针-板电极模拟低频下电缆中的场强集中区域,获得20、30、40、50 Hz频率下XLPE电树枝的引发电压、生长过程及局部放电特征参量,描述电树枝的形态特征,研究频率对XLPE电树枝的引发、生长以及局部放电影响的规律,以期为低频电缆运行维护与状态评估提供基础试验支持。
试验所用原料为浙江万马公司生产的220 kV过氧化物交联聚乙烯绝缘料,型号为WMY4201EHV(YJ-220)。首先将盛有此原料的模具放置于平板硫化机上,升温加压至110℃、15 MPa以消除绝缘料中的气泡,然后继续升温保压至175℃、15 MPa,保持30 min使绝缘料充分交联,最后保持压力不变,以7~9℃/min的速率冷却至室温,得到尺寸为130 mm×20 mm×6 mm的样片。将此样片放置于特制模具中,加热至130℃保持5 min使之软化,以 10 mm等间隔插入10根针电极,恒温保持5 min以减小插入过程中残存的机械应力,然后以7~9℃/min的速率冷却至室温。在试样底部粘贴铜箔以构成针-板电极,并在裸露的针电极处均匀涂抹热熔胶以避免试验过程中发生闪络。试样结构及针电极尺寸如图1所示。
本试验搭建了电树枝生长和局部放电同步观测系统,其结构如图2所示。为了防止沿面闪络和增强观测效果,将试样固定于装有二甲基硅油的玻璃容器中,使硅油没过试样1 cm以上。通过20~50 Hz变频电源和无局部放电变压器对试样施加不同频率的电压,在加压过程中,使用水平固定在试验台上的显微镜观测系统电树枝的引发和生长过程并进行记录,通过保定赛瑞电力科技有限公司生产的SR-400型局部放电特高频检测仪对局部放电信号进行采集,采用Labview软件对局部放电数据进行处理,试验系统满足IEC 60270-2015的要求。试验全程在屏蔽室内完成,以减少外界信号的干扰。
对XLPE试样分别施加频率为20、30、40、50 Hz的电压,采取逐级加压法,从5 kV开始加压,升压步长为1 kV,升压速率为1 kV/s,每级电压保持1 min,直至显微镜观察到针尖有电树枝引发或特高频检测仪检测到明显大于环境噪音的局放信号时停止加压,记录此时的电压作为试样电树枝的引发电压。
为了探究XLPE在不同频率下电树枝的生长情况及局部放电特性,在不同频率下分别施加有效值为14、16、18 kV的电压,恒压观测30 min。采用CCD相机每1 s对电树枝形态进行一次采集。采用局放记录系统每1 s对局部放电信号进行一次存储。试验温度为(23±1)℃,为减小试验误差以保证结果的准确性,每种频率下至少测试15组。
采用二参数威布尔分布对不同频率下XLPE试样的起树电压数据进行概率统计分析,取63.2%对应的电压为起树电压,结果如图3所示。由图3可知,20、30、40、50 Hz下XLPE的起树电压分别为15.46、15.07、14.90、14.81 kV。即XLPE的起树电压在20~50 Hz内随频率的下降略有升高,XLPE在20 Hz时的起树电压比50 Hz时升高了约4.3%。
对XLPE试样在不同频率下分别施加有效值为14、16、18 kV的电压,试验发现在3种电压下电树枝的形态差异不大,试验结果具有相似性。以有效值为16 kV电压为例,分别在20、30、40、50 Hz频率下生长1、10、30 min时的电树枝形态如图4所示。由图4可知,在16 kV电压作用下,加压1 min时,随着频率的降低,XLPE电树枝通道颜色更浅,电树枝通道更长更细,且分布更加分散,其中20 Hz下与50 Hz下的XLPE电树枝对比尤为明显。加压10 min时,XLPE电树枝生长范围增大,其形貌均为丛状,随着频率的降低,电树枝的生长范围更大,生长颜色更浅,丛状电树枝外围存在更多分支,分布更加分散,损伤面积更大。加压30 min时,XLPE电树枝生长范围在10 min基础上继续扩大,其形貌同样均为丛状,且随频率变化表现出与10 min时相同的特征。
本文采用电树枝的长度和宽度描述其生长特性,将针尖轴线方向上电树枝的最远距离定义为电树枝的长度,将垂直于轴线方向上电树枝的最大距离定义为电树枝的宽度。图5为不同频率下XLPE电树枝的长度与宽度随时间的变化情况。由图5可见,同一频率下,XLPE电树枝的长度在加压0~2 min内保持较高速度的增长,随后其增长速率有所减缓;而电树枝的宽度在加压0~4 min内保持较高速度的增长,电树枝长度保持高速生长的时间更短,且最终电树枝长度小于宽度,形状呈椭圆形。
对比不同频率下XLPE电树枝生长情况可知,在20~50 Hz范围内,随着频率的降低,电树枝长度和宽度的增长速率都更快。加压30 min时,50 Hz下XLPE电树枝的长度和宽度分别为0.91 mm和1.20 mm;40 Hz下电树枝的长度和宽度分别为1.07 mm和1.31 mm;30 Hz下电树枝的长度和宽度分别为1.11 mm和1.46 mm;20 Hz下电树枝的长度和宽度分别为1.22 mm和1.63 mm。低频20 Hz下的电树枝长度和宽度增长最为明显,分别比工频50 Hz时增长了34.1%和35.8%。
伴随着XLPE电树枝的生长,试验实时记录了不同频率下局部放电的特征参量。局部放电相位分析图谱(phase-resolved partial discharge,PRPD)是应用最广的局部放电特征分析模式,展示了相位、放电量与放电次数之间的关系。图6为电压有效值为16 kV,分别在20、30、40、50 Hz下采集30 min时的PRPD图谱。图7为电树枝生长30 min时,不同频率下放电相位和放电次数的关系图。
图6可知,在同一电压下,正、负半周局部放电的图形基本上是一致的,均类似于“翼形”,且放电量小的脉冲数多于放电量大的脉冲数。在不同频率下,对比20、30、40、50 Hz下XLPE电树枝局部放电的特征可以看出,随着频率的降低,相对放电量和脉冲放电次数均逐渐增大,在PRPD图谱中表现为更高更尖、颜色更深的“翼形”。表1为不同频率下电树枝生长1、10、30 min时的最大相对放电量。由表1可知,30 min时,最大相对放电量随频率的降低而增大,低频20 Hz时的最大相对放电量比工频50 Hz时增大了11.1%。表2为不同频率下电树枝生长1、10、30 min时的最大放电次数。由表2可知,最大放电次数也随频率的降低而增大。在30 min时,低频20 Hz正极性时的最大放电次数比工频50 Hz时增大了159%,低频20 Hz负极性时的最大放电次数比工频50 Hz时增大了118%。
在放电相位方面,从图7可以看出,不同频率下放电相位分布基本重叠,正极性的放电相位集中在0°~105°和335°~360°,负极性的放电相位集中在155°~275°,放电主要分布在一、三象限,由于针尖有异号电荷的注入,发生强烈的电荷复合,进而产生局部放电。局部放电并未在电压最大的90°和270°附近产生,表明XLPE电树枝内的局部放电是由外加电场和电树枝内空间电荷构成的复合电场决定的[25]
在交变电压作用下,电荷由针尖向XLPE介质内部反复注入和抽出,其携带的能量作用于介质,造成电致损伤[26]。在负半周时,获得能量的电子从针尖注入介质传导带内,高速撞击聚合物分子链,导致XLPE分子链断裂;同时,注入的电子也可能与空穴复合,此过程伴随着能量的释放,这部分能量被传导带中的电子吸收形成热电子,这些热电子在交变电压的作用下不断高速撞击材料分子链,造成XLPE分子链断裂,其过程如图8所示。
在正半周时,空穴从针尖注入介质传导带内,可能与入陷的电子发生复合,此过程同样伴随着能量的释放与热电子的形成,与负极性时情况相同。考虑XLPE结晶状态对XLPE电树枝引发的影响,XLPE介质内部分为结晶区和无定形区,由于无定形区XLPE分子链排列相对分散,其化学键与机械强度相对较弱[27]。因此,在高能电子和热电子的撞击下,针尖附近无定形区的聚合物分子链最先断裂,大量电荷聚集造成电场畸变继而引发局部放电,放电通路得以发展,最终引发电树枝。
在XLPE电树枝引发阶段,外加电场的大小和方向随频率呈周期性变化,在20~50 Hz范围内,随着频率的降低,针尖交替注入和抽出电荷的频率减慢。虽然针尖注入和抽出电荷的次数减少,但是仍应考虑空间电荷对电场的影响,由文献[28]可知,频率的降低提高了XLPE内部空间电荷的密度,加深了电荷进入绝缘层的距离。因此,在20~50 Hz范围内,随着频率的降低,一方面,针尖交替注入和抽出电荷的次数减少,不利于电树枝的引发,使得XLPE电树枝引发电压略有升高。但另一方面,空间电荷进入更深的陷阱有利于正、负电荷复合,导致低密度区域的形成,同时电荷难以脱陷致使空间电荷在XLPE内部积聚,短期来说能够形成空间屏蔽层抑制电树枝引发,但最终会引发电场畸变,促进电树枝后续生长。
在XLPE电树枝生长阶段,对电树枝生长与局部放电特性进行分析,在XLPE电树枝生长初期,其生长十分迅速,由图4图6可知,电压的频率越低,局部放电的放电量和放电次数越多,XLPE电树枝通道的生长速度越快,与文献[29]中对XLPE试样施加高频5.0~7.5 kHz电压时得到的结果一致。在XLPE电树枝生长一段时间后,电树枝生长速度逐渐放缓,形成较均匀的丛状。由图4(b)(c)图6可知,与电树枝生长初期相似,电压的频率越低,局部放电的放电量和放电次数越多,电树枝损伤面积越大,形成的丛状越不均匀。低频20 Hz下与工频50 Hz下的电树枝形态对比尤为明显。低频20 Hz下的丛状电树枝整体颜色较浅,且外围有许多外延的分支,而工频50 Hz下的丛状电树枝整体颜色较深,外围相对均匀,基本没有外延的分支。由此可见,相对于工频50 Hz,低频20 Hz下电树枝生长过程中局部放电过程更加强烈,更加有利于电树枝的生长。同时,低频20 Hz下的电树枝外围更加稀疏,树枝间距较大,相互之间屏蔽作用更弱,使得电树枝外围电场强于电树枝密集区域,经历一段滞长期后,这些区域更容易形成枝状电树枝,引发绝缘击穿。
(1)电树枝引发阶段,在20~50 Hz的频率范围内,XLPE电树枝的起树电压随电压频率的降低略有升高。XLPE在20 Hz时的起树电压比50 Hz时升高了约4.3%。
(2)当电压有效值为14~16 kV时,在20~50 Hz的频率范围内,XLPE电树枝的形状为丛状,且电压频率越低,电树枝的生长速度越快,损伤面积越大。低频20 Hz下电树枝的长度和宽度分别比50 Hz时增长了34.1%和35.8%。
(3)电树枝生长阶段,在20~50 Hz的频率范围内,随着频率的降低,局部放电量和放电次数均逐渐增大,在PRPD图谱中表现为更高更尖、颜色更深的“翼形”。
