In order to investigate the effect of thermal treatment on the dielectric relaxation of EP, a EP sample was prepared and conducted thermal treatment at 210℃/48 h. The changes of chemical structures, glass transition temperatures, thermal decomposition parameters, volume resistivities, and dielectric relaxation of the EP before and after thermal treatment were studied. The results show that the thermal treatment does not change the chemical structures and thermal decomposition temperatures of the EP, but the glass transition temperature decreases from 134℃ to 108℃. Furthermore, the dielectric constant of the sample increases after thermal treatment, with a smaller increase at high frequency (106 Hz) and a more significant increase at low frequency (10-1 Hz).

为了揭示热处理对环氧树脂介电松弛的影响,本文制备了环氧树脂试样,对其进行210℃/48 h的热处理,并研究热处理前后环氧树脂化学结构、玻璃化转变温度、热分解参数、体积电阻率与介电松弛的变化。结果表明:热处理并未改变环氧树脂的化学结构与热分解温度,但使其玻璃化转变温度由134℃下降至108℃。同时,热处理后试样的介电常数变大,其中高频(106 Hz)介电常数增幅较小,而低频(10-1 Hz)介电常数增幅明显。

为了揭示热处理对环氧树脂介电松弛的影响,本文制备了环氧树脂试样,对其进行210℃/48 h的热处理,并研究热处理前后环氧树脂化学结构、玻璃化转变温度、热分解参数、体积电阻率与介电松弛的变化。结果表明:热处理并未改变环氧树脂的化学结构与热分解温度,但使其玻璃化转变温度由134℃下降至108℃。同时,热处理后试样的介电常数变大,其中高频(106 Hz)介电常数增幅较小,而低频(10-1 Hz)介电常数增幅明显。

In order to investigate the effect of thermal treatment on the dielectric relaxation of EP, a EP sample was prepared and conducted thermal treatment at 210℃/48 h. The changes of chemical structures, glass transition temperatures, thermal decomposition parameters, volume resistivities, and dielectric relaxation of the EP before and after thermal treatment were studied. The results show that the thermal treatment does not change the chemical structures and thermal decomposition temperatures of the EP, but the glass transition temperature decreases from 134℃ to 108℃. Furthermore, the dielectric constant of the sample increases after thermal treatment, with a smaller increase at high frequency (106 Hz) and a more significant increase at low frequency (10-1 Hz).

环氧树脂及其复合材料由于具有优异的电气绝缘性能、热性能与力学性能,在高压电工装备领域作为绝缘介质与支撑介质得到了广泛应用[1-6]。绝缘材料在长期工作中受到电、热和力的多重作用会发生老化,其绝缘性能不可避免地会发生劣化,影响电力设备的稳定性,进而影响系统供电的可靠性[7]。为了有效降低绝缘老化对电力设备运行稳定性的影响,研究人员提出绝缘状态在线检测与寿命预测的方法[8],由于该类方法的应用与发展需要以相应的绝缘老化理论研究为支撑,近半个世纪以来包括环氧树脂在内的绝缘材料老化研究备受关注。
谢伟等[9]研究发现,经电老化后固体绝缘开关柜用环氧树脂材料的介质损耗因数和局部放电量随老化时间的延长而增加,且介质损耗因数和局部放电量与老化寿命之间存在正态分布的关系。他们进一步研究了热氧老化对环氧复合材料性能的影响,发现在老化前期复合材料的介电常数下降,而在老化后期,复合材料的介电常数上升。研究表明老化前期介电常数的变化主要是高温老化引发了材料的后固化,使得介电常数下降,而老化后期分子键断裂是介电常数上升的主要原因[10]。李庆民等[11]对环氧树脂高频电热联合老化后的局部放电特性进行了研究,并总结了老化对局放信号的影响规律。结果表明随着老化时间的增加,高相位上的最大放电幅值增大。张星宇等[12]通过仿真研究了环氧树脂在局部放电活性产物作用下的热裂解机理,认为局部放电产生的活性产物是加剧环氧树脂裂解的主要原因。高坤等[13]对环氧复合材料湿热老化前后的性能进行了研究,发现老化使得复合材料的介质损耗因数增加,而介电常数的变化无明显规律。P PREETHA等[14]对环氧树脂及其纳米复合材料进行加速老化,发现在电老化作用下,环氧树脂的介电常数明显增加,而介质损耗因数变化不大。目前,老化对环氧树脂介电常数与介质损耗因数影响的相关研究有很多,但结论并不统一,且研究仍存在不足,尤其是目前的研究并未深入到材料具体的介电松弛行为。材料的介电松弛行为不仅影响着其介电常数、介质损耗因数等参数,还与其分子链松弛活化能和老化状态等密切相关[15-17]。因此,有必要对材料老化前后的介电松弛行为进行研究。
通常,在进行正式老化前,需对环氧复合材料试样进行一段时间的热处理,且热处理的温度应低于正式老化温度。目前的研究聚焦在长期老化对材料的整体影响,而关于热处理对材料的性能,尤其是介电松弛行为的影响尚不清楚。为此,本文以电工装备用双酚A环氧酸酐交联体系为研究对象,对其进行高温热处理,通过实验手段,研究热处理前后环氧树脂化学结构、热性能以及介电松弛行为的变化并阐明其变化机理,从而为环氧绝缘材料的热老化、寿命预测及状态评估等研究提供理论依据。
0164DA型双酚A环氧树脂,国网智能电网研究院有限公司;JH-910型甲基四氢苯酐固化剂、N,N-二甲基苄胺(BDMA),上海雄润树脂有限公司。环氧树脂与固化剂的分子结构如图1所示。
将脱模剂均匀涂抹在模具表面后,将模具放入130℃烘箱预热2 h。称取100 g环氧树脂与83.51 g固化剂倒入三口烧瓶中,于40℃下搅拌脱气2 h,随后加入0.6 g促进剂,搅拌5 min。将搅拌好的混合物倒入预热完毕的模具中,放入真空烘箱常温脱气10 min,随后进行固化,固化程序为80℃/4 h+140℃/12 h。固化结束后开模取样,将试样自然冷却24 h后备用。
采用高温试验箱对环氧树脂试样进行热处理。热处理的老化温度应高于材料的玻璃化转变温度,低于材料的热分解温度。环氧酸酐体系的玻璃化转变温度通常高于100℃,热分解起始温度通常高于300℃[7]。同时考虑到现有实验条件与实验安全性,本研究将热处理温度设置为210℃,持续时间为48 h。
使用Thermo Scientific K-Alpha型X射线光电子能谱仪表征试样的化学结构,测试元素为C。使用Mettler Toledo TGA/DSC-1型同步热分析仪对试样进行热分析测试,升温速率为10℃/min,测试温度为50~600℃,保护气为氮气。使用6517b型电阻率测试仪测量试样的体积电阻率,环境湿度约为55%,温度为室温。使用Novocontrol Concept 80型宽频介电谱仪测量试样的介电谱,测试的温度间隔为20℃,温度为20~200℃,频率为10-1~106 Hz,施加1 V交流电压,测试前对试样两面喷镀金电极,正反两面电极的直径分别为30 mm与40 mm。
X射线光电子能谱技术(XPS)是一种表征材料化学结构的有效方法,通过对测试结果的分峰分析,可得到各化学键的电子能谱图[18-19]。本文使用XPS PEAK 41软件对XPS的C1s能谱图进行分峰拟合,并以C-C/C-H键的键能为284.6 eV对其余化学键进行校正,结果如图2所示。从图2可以看出,未处理试样与热处理试样的化学键成分完全相同,包括C-C/C-H键,C=C键,C-O键和C=O键,其键能分别为284.6、284.2、285.1、286.6 eV,表明热处理并未在环氧树脂内部引入新的化学结构。以各化学键XPS能谱图中对应峰的面积定量表征各个化学键的含量[19],如图2(c)所示。从图2(c)可以看出,热处理前后试样各化学键的含量仅发生小幅变化,予以忽略。因此,可以认为热处理阶段试样的化学结构不发生变化。
玻璃化转变温度(Tg)是聚合物由玻璃态转变成高弹态的临界温度,在此温度附近,材料的力学性能与电气性能呈现巨大差异。本文将Tg记为材料发生相变时曲线前基线与后基线延长线交点对应的温度。图3为试样热处理前后的热性能测试结果。
图3(a)可以看出,热处理改变了环氧树脂的玻璃化转变行为。热处理后试样的Tg由老化前的134℃下降到108℃,下降了19.4%。环氧树脂的Tg主要受交联度与分子内部自由体积的影响[20],热处理后试样Tg的下降,表明热处理引发了材料内部自由体积的变化。在高温作用下,材料表面及内部可能蒸发出小分子基团,如制样过程脱气不完全会导致内部残余气体或材料中具有挥发性的小分子杂质,这些物质在热的作用下会挥发,从而在材料内部留下“孔洞”,导致材料内部自由体积变大,从而降低了材料的玻璃化转变温度。从图3(b)可以看出,热处理后试样的残留率由老化前的9.28%上升至老化后的12.58%,表明热处理使得试样中可热降解或挥发的物质含量下降。在TGA测试中,虽然热处理改变了环氧树脂的残留率,但并未改变试样的热分解温度。热处理前后试样的5%分解温度(T5%)均为361℃。由此可见,试样的热分解温度主要由材料的化学结构决定,热处理前后热分解温度不变,表明环氧树脂内部分子的化学结构并未发生实质性变化,这一结论可与XPS的结果相互印证。
在TGA曲线240~360℃的温度区间内,热处理前后试样的质量损失行为存在细微差异。在该温度区间,未处理试样存在少量的质量损失,而热处理后试样质量较为稳定,直至发生热分解。这种差异表明热处理后使得环氧树脂在该温度区间可热分解的物质减少。热处理的条件为210℃/48 h,在长时间的高温作用下,材料内部部分基团可能发生了热分解,从环氧树脂中以气体的形式“消失”,并在原处留下“孔洞”,从而使得材料内部自由体积分数增大,导致Tg下降,这可与DSC的测试结果相互印证。
图4为热处理前后环氧树脂的体积电阻率。对试样以相同条件重复测量8次,体积电阻率为8次测量结果的平均值。从图4可以看出,热处理后试样的体积电阻率下降,表明热处理增强了环氧树脂内部载流子的迁移。由2.2节可知,热处理后试样内部自由体积可能增大,有利于载流子迁移,从而导致体积电阻率下降,电导率上升[21]
介电常数是材料最基本的介电性能参数,与材料的宏观电气性能,如沿面闪络电压和电气强度等密切相关[22-23]。而老化对材料内部微观结构的影响,会在其宽频介电谱上予以体现。因此,通过对电介质的宽频介电谱进行介电松弛行为分析,可深入研究材料内部分子结构的变化,进而为绝缘系统的在线监测与寿命预测提供理论支撑。
图5为环氧树脂热处理前后的介电常数(复介电常数实部)和介质损耗因数(复介电常数虚部)温谱图。从图5可以看出,热处理前后环氧树脂介电常数的变化趋势并未发生改变。在测试频段,环氧树脂最多存在两个松弛过程,分别为与玻璃化转变温度以上大分子链运动有关的松弛过程α,以及与界面极化或热离子极化有关的松弛过程δ[15-16]。从图5(a)5(b)可以看出,未处理试样的松弛过程α出现在140℃及以上,而热处理后试样的松弛过程α出现在120℃及以上,且热处理后试样松弛过程α的损耗峰明显向高频区域发生偏转。当温度低于Tg时,环氧树脂内部的分子链处于“冻结”状态,无法在外电场作用下发生定向偏转,仅可在有限的空间内发生微弱的振动,引发偶极子振动极化,参与极化行为。当温度高于Tg时,分子内部的自由体积膨胀,主分子链开始“解冻”,极性分子链的偶极矩在外电场作用下,沿着电场方向发生转向,产生宏观偶极矩,引起转向极化[15,24]。由于热处理后试样的Tg低于未处理试样,因此,热处理后试样的松弛过程α率先出现。此外,由于热处理后试样的自由体积要大于未处理试样,因此在相同温度下,其内部分子链更容易运动,导致其松弛峰对应的频率向高频方向偏移。随着温度进一步升高,环氧树脂中出现另一个松弛过程,即热离子极化[24]或界面极化[26]引起的松弛过程δ。在图5(a)中,未处理试样的松弛过程δ出现在180℃及以上,而在图5(b)中热处理后试样的松弛过程δ出现在140℃及以上,说明热处理后低频段的极化更为明显。热离子极化受温度、杂质离子种类与含量的影响[2],而热处理过程不可能在材料内部引入更多的杂质,因此,认为本文环氧树脂中松弛过程δ主要由界面极化构成。界面极化是不均匀介质中的电荷在界面处产生宏观偶极矩的极化现象[26-27]。由图4可知,热处理后试样的体积电阻率下降,电导率上升,表明载流子迁移能力增强。因此,热处理后将有更多的载流子流经分界面,被试样内的分界面捕获,导致电荷积累增多,使得界面的极化强度增强。同时,由于载流子迁移能力的提升,环氧树脂内部的分界面可在较低的温度下积累足够产生界面极化的电荷,导致热处理后试样界面极化出现的温度相比未处理试样降低。
图5(c)(d)可以看出,高温时低频区域环氧树脂电导损耗占主导,而高频区域松弛过程α占主导。此外还发现,未处理试样的电导损耗明显强于热处理试样,而且热处理后试样的松弛过程α与松弛过程δ也存在一定变化。在未处理试样中,低频区域的松弛过程δ被电导损耗完全掩盖。而在热处理试样中,电导损耗与松弛过程δ对低频损耗均有贡献。
图5中的介电温谱可以发现,热处理对环氧树脂的介电松弛行为有较为明显的影响。聚合物内部存在多种形式的松弛行为与极化行为,包括电子位移极化、原子位移极化、偶极极化和界面极化等[26]。各个极化所需要的极化时间存在差异,使得材料在不同频段呈现不同的极化行为。因此,不同频率下电介质的介电性能往往存在较大差异。从图5可以看出,环氧树脂的松弛过程α出现在高频区,而松弛过程δ出现在低频区,因此本文对环氧树脂热处理前后,测试频段的高频(106 Hz)介电常数与低频(10-1 Hz)介电常数进行对比与分析。
图6为高频下环氧树脂热处理前后的介电常数。低温下环氧树脂高频下的极化行为主要包括电子位移极化、原子位移极化和偶极振动极化[26],而高温下,除上述3种极化外,还包括偶极转向极化。从图6可以看出,热处理后环氧树脂的高频介电常数变大,且高频介电常数随温度的变化趋势存在明显的转折点。通过对高频介电常数与温度的变化关系进行线性拟合发现,转折点对应的温度与Tg相近。热处理后试样的介电常数上升,表明热处理使得环氧树脂中部分极化得到增强。电介质的电子位移极化和原子位移极化与材料内部的分子结构有关。由上文分析可知,热处理并未改变环氧树脂的分子结构,因此,热处理前后试样的电子位移极化与原子位移极化不会发生明显变化。由热分解曲线可知,热处理后环氧树脂内部小分子蒸发,自由体积增大。这种变化有利于偶极子在原位振动或跳跃极化,导致热处理试样的介电常数增大。随着温度升高,图6中热处理后试样的高频介电常数率先进入转折,与其较低的Tg对应。
图7为环氧树脂热处理前后低频介电常数随温度的变化图。对比图6图7可以发现,热处理前后,环氧树脂的低频介电常数与高频介电常数存在明显差异。聚合物低频段的极化行为,除高频段的电子、原子等极化外,还存在界面极化与电极极化等[28-29]。由前文分析可知,环氧树脂在低频区域主要是界面极化,因此,热处理前后环氧树脂低频介电常数的差异主要是界面极化的变化导致。
在140℃以下,环氧树脂热处理前后的低频介电常数随温度的变化趋势相同,但当温度升至140℃以上时,二者出现明显差异。对于未处理试样,其低频介电常数在140℃时存在一个小幅度上升,这是由于温度高于Tg时,发生了偶极子转向极化所致。但当温度为160℃时,未处理试样的低频介电常数保持不变。未处理试样的界面极化仅在180℃以上得以体现,因此在此温度之前,低频介电常数存在一个平稳期,此时低频介电常数由电子位移极化、原子位移极化与偶极子极化贡献。但当温度高于180℃时,试样介电常数的构成发生变化,除上述极化形式外,还包括界面极化的贡献,导致图7中未处理试样的低频介电常数上升至7.29和12.71。对于热处理试样,其界面极化出现的温度为140℃,且界面极化强度远高于未处理试样,导致140℃以上热处理试样的低频介电常数大幅增加。当温度为180℃和200℃时,热处理试样的低频介电常数分别为18.69和29.67,是未处理试样的2.56倍和2.33倍。由此可见,热处理使得环氧树脂低频下的介电常数大幅增加。
(1)热处理前后试样的化学键种类不变,且各化学键的含量并未发生明显变化,表明热处理并未使环氧树脂结构发生明显变化。
(2)热处理使试样的玻璃化转变温度由134℃下降至108℃,残留率由9.28%增大至12.58%,而5%热分解温度不变。在热处理过程中,材料内部部分小分子基团在热的作用下被蒸发,使得内部自由体积增大,导致玻璃化转变温度下降,残留率增加。
(3)热处理改变了环氧树脂的介电松弛行为,且对材料低频介电常数的影响更为显著。热处理后,环氧树脂的界面极化出现在更低的温度,且极化强度大幅增强,导致高温下的低频介电常数大幅上升,在温度为180℃和200℃时,热处理试样的低频介电常数分别为未处理试样的2.56倍和2.33倍。
