TiO2 nanoparticles surface modified with acetic acid, hexanoic acid, and oleic acid were synthesized via liquid-phase method and used to prepared modified transformer oils. The morphology and surface modification state of the nanoparticles were measured by transmission electron microscope (TEM) and Fourier infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The positive impulse breakdown voltage and streamer development pattern of the transformer oil before and after modification were tested, and the effect of nanoparticle surface modification on the breakdown performance of transformer oil was studied. The results show that the surface modified nanoparticles greatly improve the positive impulse breakdown voltage of transformer oil, and significantly prolong the breakdown time. Among them, the acetic acid modified nanoparticles have the best modification effect, which increases the impulse breakdown voltage from 84.73 kV of pure oil to 116.42 kV, an increase of 37.4%, and the breakdown time is extended to 1.86 times that of pure oil. The surface modification of nanoparticles greatly increases the shallow trap density in the oil, changes the streamer propagation pattern, significantly inhibits the development speed of streamer, and thus improves the impulse breakdown properties of the transformer oil.

采用液相法制备了乙酸、己酸和油酸修饰的TiO2纳米粒子及其改性变压器油,利用透射电子显微镜(TEM)和傅里叶红外光谱仪(FTIR)测试表征了纳米粒子的形貌和表面修饰状态,通过测试变压器油改性前后的正冲击击穿电压和流注发展形态,研究了纳米粒子表面修饰对变压器油击穿性能的影响规律。结果表明:表面修饰纳米粒子极大地提高了变压器油的正冲击击穿电压,并显著延长了击穿时间。其中,乙酸修饰纳米粒子的改性效果最佳,将冲击击穿电压从纯油的84.73 kV提高到116.42 kV,提高了37.4%,击穿时间延长至纯油的1.68倍。纳米粒子表面修饰增大了油中浅陷阱的密度,改变了油中流注的发展形态,显著抑制了流注的发展速度,从而提高了变压器油的冲击击穿性能。

TiO2 nanoparticles surface modified with acetic acid, hexanoic acid, and oleic acid were synthesized via liquid-phase method and used to prepared modified transformer oils. The morphology and surface modification state of the nanoparticles were measured by transmission electron microscope (TEM) and Fourier infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The positive impulse breakdown voltage and streamer development pattern of the transformer oil before and after modification were tested, and the effect of nanoparticle surface modification on the breakdown performance of transformer oil was studied. The results show that the surface modified nanoparticles greatly improve the positive impulse breakdown voltage of transformer oil, and significantly prolong the breakdown time. Among them, the acetic acid modified nanoparticles have the best modification effect, which increases the impulse breakdown voltage from 84.73 kV of pure oil to 116.42 kV, an increase of 37.4%, and the breakdown time is extended to 1.86 times that of pure oil. The surface modification of nanoparticles greatly increases the shallow trap density in the oil, changes the streamer propagation pattern, significantly inhibits the development speed of streamer, and thus improves the impulse breakdown properties of the transformer oil.

变压器油作为特高压变压器等电力设备的主要绝缘介质,其绝缘性能与设备的运行安全可靠性密切相关[1]。变压器事故的统计结果表明,冲击过电压造成的绝缘故障占变压器故障总量的11%[2]。随着特高压交直流输电电压的提高与间歇性可再生能源的大规模并网,变压器油的绝缘性能将面临更为严苛的挑战,提高变压器油的击穿性能对于保障特高压变压器的稳定运行具有重要意义。
近年来,纳米改性技术已成为绝缘介质领域的研究热点。自V SEGAL等[3]研究发现Fe3O4纳米粒子可以显著改善变压器油的工频和正冲击击穿性能以来,国内外学者对纳米粒子改性变压器油开展了广泛的研究。周远翔等[4]利用粒径为40 nm的粒子改性变压器油,改善了其在雷电冲击电压下50%放电伏秒特性。司马文霞等[5]以油酸、硬脂酸和Span80修饰的3类纳米粒子为改性材料,提高了变压器油的正极性雷电冲击击穿电压。LI C R等[6-7]探究了TiO2纳米粒子对变压器油的改性作用,结果表明通过调控纳米粒子的微观特性可以将变压器油的正冲击击穿电压提高至纯油的1.31倍。文献[8-14]研究发现纳米粒子的类型和用量对变压器油的改性效果具有显著的影响,纳米粒子在油中形成的固-液界面是改性的关键。纳米粒子因其比表面积大,表面配位不饱和原子与油分子相互作用,形成大量的固-液界面,从而显著影响电荷的传输过程与变压器油的击穿性能[15-17]。有关纳米粒子尺寸和形貌对变压器油性能的影响已有很多报道[18-21],而表面修饰纳米粒子对变压器油性能的影响尚缺乏深入研究。因此,有必要探索表面修饰的纳米粒子对变压器油击穿性能的影响,为优化纳米变压器油的绝缘性能和推进其实际应用提供依据。
在冲击电压作用下,变压器油的电气强度取决于油中流注的放电特性[22]。流注的发展与其形态和速度等参数密切相关,其中流注发展的速度是决定变压器油击穿性能的首要因素[23]。在外电场作用下,流注发展的速度越快,流注放电通道越容易在电极之间贯穿而引起击穿。研究发现纳米粒子可以改变油中流注的发展特性,增加流注分支,抑制流注的发展,提高变压器油的电气强度[7,20-21]。为此,需研究表面修饰的纳米粒子对变压器油流注发展特性的影响规律,以期阐明表面修饰对变压器油击穿性能的改性机理。
本研究制得3类不同表面修饰的TiO2纳米粒子,对其形貌和表面修饰状态进行表征。以3类纳米粒子为改性材料,制备相应的纳米粒子改性变压器油(简称为纳米油),并与纯变压器油(简称为纯油)的正冲击击穿性能进行对比。采用纹影法拍摄变压器油改性前后流注的发展特性,并计算流注的平均发展速度。最后通过测试分析变压器油改性前后的陷阱特性,提出表面修饰的纳米粒子对变压器油击穿性能的作用机理。
首先,采用溶剂热法制备TiO2纳米粒子[24]。以乙酸、己酸和油酸3种不同碳链结构的羧酸作为表面修饰剂,将TiO2纳米粒子分散到乙醇中,将摩尔比为24∶1的表面修饰剂与纳米粒子添加到乙醇混合液中,超声分散均匀。混合溶液在70℃下回流 2 h,冷却至室温后,分离出沉淀物。用乙醇清洗 3次,在70℃下烘干2 h,制得分别由乙酸、己酸和油酸表面修饰的TiO2纳米粒子。利用透射电子显微镜(TEM)对4种纳米粒子的形貌进行表征,结果如图1所示。从图1可以看出,修饰后纳米粒子的平均粒径约为15 nm,且表面形成了厚度为0.6~1.0 nm的修饰剂包覆层。
采用克拉玛依25#矿物油,按照CIGRE工作组12.17的规定,过滤去除油中颗粒杂质,获得纯变压器油。在纯油中分别加入3种表面修饰的纳米粒子,超声处理使其分散均匀,制得体积浓度为0.075%的纳米油。将纯油和纳米油放入真空干燥箱中,在85℃下保温24 h以去除油样中的水分和气泡,所有测试油样的水分含量均为(10±1)×10-6
红外光谱测试:采用ThermoFisher公司生产的Nicolet IS50型傅里叶变换红外光谱仪(FTIR)表征纳米粒子的表面修饰结果。扫描范围为400~4 000 cm-1,仪器分辨率优于0.09 cm-1,扫描速率为600 cm-1/min。
冲击击穿性能测试:根据GB/T 21222—2007相关要求进行正冲击击穿电压测试,采用1.2/50 μs标准正极性雷电冲击脉冲,上下电极分别为针电极和球电极,两电极间距为25 mm。以选定的起始电压进行加压,逐级升压直至试样发生击穿。重复以上步骤,取6次击穿结果的平均值作为试样的击穿电压。
流注拍摄方法:采用纹影法拍摄流注,拍摄部分由激光源、扩束镜、透镜、刀口、试验腔体和像增强型高速相机(ICCD)等组成[7]。激光器采用最大功率为1.5 W、波长为532 nm的半导体激光器。使用普林斯顿仪器公司生产的Pi-Max3型相机,其最小曝光时间为30 ns。采用击穿测试用的针电极和球电极,电极间距为40 mm,ICCD曝光时间设为200 ns,光增强倍数为8倍,每种油样在室温条件下进行5次流注拍摄。
陷阱特性测试:利用表面电位衰减法(SPD),通过测量材料表面电位的衰减来计算分析表面修饰的纳米粒子对变压器油陷阱特性的影响[25]。试验平台包括电子注入系统和测量系统,测试与分析方法详见本课题组前期工作[21]。采用X射线光电子能谱(XPS)测试纳米颗粒表面缺陷的种类与含量。
图2为不同表面修饰纳米粒子的FTIR谱图。从图2可以看出,乙酸、己酸和油酸修饰纳米粒子的红外特征峰峰位基本相同。在908 cm-1处都出现了Ti-O键特征峰,在1 048 cm-1、1 138 cm-1和2 863~2 968 cm-1处的特征峰为烷基基团的特征谱带[26]。图中1 710 cm-1处并未出现羧酸根的特征峰,表明3种纳米粒子表面没有游离的修饰剂。但是,在1 423 cm-1νs)和1 530 cm-1νas)处均出现了羧酸根的对称和不对称伸缩振动峰,Δννas-νs)值小于120 cm-1,表明羧酸根与钛离子是以双齿螯合的配位方式吸附在纳米粒子表面[27]
表面修饰的纳米粒子对变压器油正冲击击穿特性的影响如表1所示。从表1可以看出,与无修饰纳米粒子相比,乙酸、己酸和油酸表面修饰纳米粒子都提高了变压器油的击穿电压,随着碳链结构的变化,提高率分别为37.4%、29.6%、20.0%,其中乙酸表面修饰纳米粒子对变压器油的改性效果最佳。同时,所有表面修饰纳米粒子都延长了变压器油的击穿时间,其中乙酸修饰纳米油的延长效果最为显著,击穿时间延长至纯油的1.68倍,极大地抑制了油中流注的发展。
纯油和不同表面修饰纳米油中流注发展过程如图3所示。从图3可以看出,表面修饰纳米粒子明显改变了变压器油中流注的发展过程。在流注发展的起始阶段(3 μs),纯油和不同表面修饰纳米油中的流注都呈灌木丛状(图3(a)),其中纳米油中流注通道与纯油相比更为致密,发展长度明显减小。这是因为针尖处较强的电场使变压器油发生电离,形成大量的流注放电通道所致。
在外施电压作用下,放电通道持续发展。从图3(b)图3(c)可以看出,当流注发展时间达到9 μs和15 μs时,纯油中流注的大部分侧向分支消失,仅剩几条主干径直向地电极延伸。与纯油中流注形态不同,纳米油中放电主通道明显变粗,而且形成了大量致密的侧向分支,分支上又出现了很多细小分叉。在流注的整个发展过程中,流注头部都始终以类圆弧状朝地电极均匀发展。其中,乙酸修饰纳米油中流注各分支和细小侧枝更为均匀和致密,流注发展长度也更短。
在流注发展过程中,取放电通道在两电极轴向方向的最大长度作为该时刻流注的发展长度,以纯油和不同表面修饰纳米油中流注发展时间及其对应的发展长度作图,结果如图4所示。从图4可以看出,纯油的流注长度在流注发展时间为12 µs时达到最大值,而3种表面修饰纳米油的流注长度都在流注发展时间为15 µs时才达到最大值。通过计算可以得到纯油,乙酸、己酸和油酸修饰纳米油中的流注平均发展速度分别为2.22、0.83、0.89、1.04 km/s。所有表面修饰纳米粒子明显抑制了变压器油中流注的发展,其中乙酸修饰纳米粒子的抑制作用最强,使油中流注的平均发展速度降低了62.6%。
综上可知,3种表面修饰纳米粒子极大地改变了变压器油中流注的发展形态,抑制了流注的发展速度,提高了变压器油的正冲击击穿性能。虽然同属于羧酸类表面修饰剂,但由于碳链结构不同,不同表面修饰剂修饰的纳米粒子对变压器油的改性作用呈现明显差异,其中乙酸修饰的纳米粒子显示出最佳的改性效果。
为了研究不同表面修饰纳米粒子对变压器油的改性机制,测试分析了纳米油中的陷阱分布特性,结果如图5所示。从图5可以看出,乙酸、己酸和油酸修饰纳米油的陷阱能级接近(0.73~0.74 eV),均为浅陷阱[21]。其中,乙酸修饰纳米油的浅陷阱密度达到1.15×1019 m-3,与己酸和油酸修饰纳米油相比,浅陷阱密度提高了13.9%和23.1%。由此可见,表面修饰虽然并未改变陷阱能级,却明显提高了变压器油中的浅陷阱密度,与其他两类修饰剂相比,乙酸在变压器油中引入了更多的浅陷阱。
为了研究纳米粒子表面修饰与油中陷阱密度的关系,利用XPS表征分析了3种表面修饰纳米粒子的表面缺陷类型和含量,结果如图6所示。
图6可以看出,3组谱图峰形和峰位均一致,其中结合能为458.6 eV和464.4 eV处对应TiO2表面Ti4+态,而结合能为458.2 eV和463.6 eV处为表面缺陷态Ti3+[28]。3种表面修饰纳米粒子的表面均以Ti4+为主,同时也存在Ti3+。计算发现在乙酸、己酸和油酸修饰的纳米粒子中,缺陷态Ti3+占比分别为15.2%、14.8%和14.5%,乙酸修饰纳米粒子表面的Ti3+陷阱态最多,因此其在变压器油中引入了更多的浅陷阱。
在雷电冲击电压作用下,变压器油中流注的发展依赖于流注头部的电场强度,当头部强场区快速迁移的高能电子与油分子碰撞发热,导致油分子承受的电场力超过周围液体分子的相互作用力时,将形成低密度区。由于低密度区与变压器油本体的介电常数存在差异,低密度区内的电场强度将大幅超过油本体区域。当达到汤森放电条件时,低密度区会发生气体放电,原流注通道会与该放电通道融合,使流注得以向前发展[29]。通过添加不同表面修饰的纳米粒子,在变压器油中引入了大量的浅陷阱,这将增大纳米油中电子的迁移速率,促使场致电离产生的电子迅速离开正离子,使得纳米油中低密度区产生的电荷电场较纯油增大,从而削弱低密度区内电场[21]。这样纳米油中流注头部的场强将减小,阻止新放电通路的形成,进而削弱流注的发展速度。3种表面修饰纳米粒子中,乙酸修饰的纳米粒子对油中浅陷阱密度的增加最为显著,更易于抑制油中流注的发展。因此,乙酸修饰纳米粒子对变压器油的冲击击穿性能提升效果最佳。
(1)表面修饰纳米粒子显著提高了变压器油的正冲击击穿性能。在乙酸、己酸和油酸表面修饰的纳米粒子中,乙酸表面修饰纳米粒子对变压器油的正冲击击穿性能具有最佳提升作用。
(2)表面修饰纳米粒子改变了变压器油中流注的发展形态,抑制了流注的发展,显著延长了击穿时间。
(3)表面修饰纳米粒子明显增大了变压器油中的浅陷阱密度,但并未改变陷阱能级。其中乙酸表面修饰纳米粒子更利于增大变压器油中的浅陷阱密度,对流注发展的抑制作用最为显著。
