In order to study the ageing characteristics of stator bar insulation for pumped storage generator set, VPI stator bar for 18 kV pumped storage generator stator was taken as research object, thermal ageing test at different temperatures and different periods was carried out, its physical and chemical properties, thermal properties, and mechanical properties were analyzed, and the change rule of material properties before and after thermal ageing was studied. The results show that during the thermal ageing process, the composition change of epoxy resin in the insulation is the main reason for the change of its microstructure, thermal properties, and mechanical properties. There is a high coincidence between the measured results of physical and chemical properties, thermal properties, and mechanical properties.

为研究抽水蓄能发电机组定子线棒绝缘的老化特性,以18 kV抽水蓄能发电机VPI定子线棒为研究对象,对其进行不同温度、不同周期下的热老化试验并测试其理化特性、热学性能及力学性能,研究其热老化前后材料特性的变化规律。结果表明:在热老化过程中,发电机定子线棒绝缘中的环氧树脂成分变化是导致其微观结构、热学性能及力学性能发生变化的主要原因,且理化特性、热学性能及力学性能的测量分析结果之间有较高的吻合度。

为研究抽水蓄能发电机组定子线棒绝缘的老化特性,以18 kV抽水蓄能发电机VPI定子线棒为研究对象,对其进行不同温度、不同周期下的热老化试验并测试其理化特性、热学性能及力学性能,研究其热老化前后材料特性的变化规律。结果表明:在热老化过程中,发电机定子线棒绝缘中的环氧树脂成分变化是导致其微观结构、热学性能及力学性能发生变化的主要原因,且理化特性、热学性能及力学性能的测量分析结果之间有较高的吻合度。

In order to study the ageing characteristics of stator bar insulation for pumped storage generator set, VPI stator bar for 18 kV pumped storage generator stator was taken as research object, thermal ageing test at different temperatures and different periods was carried out, its physical and chemical properties, thermal properties, and mechanical properties were analyzed, and the change rule of material properties before and after thermal ageing was studied. The results show that during the thermal ageing process, the composition change of epoxy resin in the insulation is the main reason for the change of its microstructure, thermal properties, and mechanical properties. There is a high coincidence between the measured results of physical and chemical properties, thermal properties, and mechanical properties.

抽水蓄能电站在电力系统的运行中发挥着调峰调频的重要作用,在系统负荷处于低谷时,将下游的水抽至上游水库;当系统负荷处于高峰时,将上游水库中的水放至下游进行发电,具有削峰填谷的重要作用。特别是在我国正式提出“碳达峰、碳中和”的双碳目标之后,抽水蓄能电站在我国迎来了更为广阔的发展前景[1-4]。大型抽水蓄能发电机定子线棒在实际的运行过程中,既承受高电压又通过大电流,绝缘介质在高电压下的介质损耗以及因大电流产生的热效应均使得绝缘温度升高,材料性能在长期运行过程中会发生改变,可能出现裂纹、分层等缺陷,甚至造成绝缘失效[5-7]。因此,对抽水蓄能发电机组定子线棒绝缘的老化特性进行研究具有十分重要的实际意义和工程应用价值。
电机线棒主绝缘材料主要由环氧树脂、云母片与玻璃丝布构成,其中环氧树脂由环氧与固化剂、促进剂混合溶液在一定温度流程下固化而成,云母片与玻璃丝布主要由SiO2构成。
扫描电镜能谱及红外光谱作为常见的微观分析手段,被广泛应用于材料结构研究中[8-9]。刘凌等[10]对环氧绝缘样本采用扫描电镜观测,并采用交变磁场下金属研磨实验对线棒切面绝缘层进行模拟施力验证。曾浩等[11]先对3种直流电缆绝缘材料开展洁净度检测,然后通过全反射红外光谱分析了洁净度检测出的晶点的化学键结构,对比了3种直流电缆绝缘材料性能。热重分析(TGA)主要用于研究材料的热分解和脱水等热变化过程,具有可重复性高、热过程控制精确、灵敏度高和试验操作简单等优点[12-13]。韩永进等[14]采用热重分析(TGA)研究了橡胶材料的热分解特性,并计算出材料的热分解活化能,同时建立了3种橡胶材料的热寿命方程。三点弯曲法和动态热机械分析法是常见的力学性能测试方法,可以得到材料的动态模量和力学损耗等重要参数[15-16]。秦大可等[17]使用动态热机械分析(DMA)对氰酸酯树脂及其复合材料在DMA测试前后结构和性能的变化进行研究,考察了DMA测试对其结构和性能的影响。
目前国内外针对发电机定子线棒主绝缘的老化特性研究多围绕电学性能展开,较少涉及微观结构、热学和力学等其他方面特性研究。本文制备段状的18 kV发电机VPI定子线棒绝缘试样并设计加速热老化试验,对各老化温度下的试样进行理化特性、热学性能及力学性能测量,研究其热老化前后材料特性的变化规律。
本研究对象为累计工作时长为9 768 h的某抽水蓄能电站停用线棒。将段状定子线棒切割后剥离主绝缘,切割加工成尺寸为90 mm×6 mm×4 mm的绝缘试样,如图1所示。电机线棒主绝缘试样选取的加速热老化试验温度分别为180℃和205℃,即在155级(F)绝缘最高允许工作温度(155℃)基础上分别提高25℃和50℃,热老化试验周期分别为6个和4个,具体方案如表1所示。
Phenom ProX型扫描电镜能谱一体机,FEI公司,最大放大倍数130 000倍,分辨率小于14 nm。Nicolet iN10型傅里叶变换红外光谱仪,Thermo Scientific公司。TGA/SDTA 851e型热重分析仪,瑞士METTLER TOLEDO公司,温度范围为25~1 600℃,冷却方式为恒温水浴,采用氮气作为动态平衡气体。CMT4503型微机控制电子万能拉伸机,美特斯工业系统公司。DMA/SDTA861e型动态热力学分析仪,Mettler公司,采用双梁臂弯曲模式,支架跨距为30 mm,试验温度范围为30~200℃,升温速度为3℃/min,最大振幅为10 μm,施加应力幅度为10 N,试验频率为1 Hz。
对不同老化周期试样进行理化性能测试,包括扫描电子显微镜(SEM)和傅里叶红外光谱(FTIR)分析,分别观测试样表面、内部形貌以及老化前后试样的分子结构变化,为试样老化过程提供初步判断与定性分析。
线棒绝缘在老化过程中,其表面形貌会发生细微变化。将不同老化周期的试样做表面喷金处理后进行SEM扫描电镜分析,电压选取5 kV,对试样放大100倍进行观察。180℃和205℃下热老化不同周期试样的SEM图分别如图2图3所示。
图2可以看出,180℃下热老化第1周期试样表面较为平整,无明显的缺陷和间隙。第2周期试样表面开始出现裂纹,至第4周期时试样表面的裂纹与分层较为明显。经过长时间高温热老化后,第5周期试样表面的环氧、云母已经无法完全覆盖其内部的网状纤维材料玻璃丝带。到第6周期时,玻璃丝带进一步暴露在空气中,网格中间的环氧、云母也开始发生破损。
图3可以看出,试样在205℃下经历1个老化周期后表面已开始出现破损,到第2周期时情况加剧。第3周期时环氧、云母已无法完全覆盖玻璃丝带,在第4周期时可以清晰地看到玻璃丝带内部纵横交错的形貌。
对比180℃老化试样与205℃老化试样可以看出,温度对绝缘材料的老化有较大影响,在205℃下老化4个周期后试样中的玻纤结构已清晰可见,材料的损伤将成为电机绝缘的薄弱点。
红外光谱分析法是一种根据有机物中分子转动和分子内原子相对振动等信息来分析物质结构的方法。试样中组成基团的原子处于不断振动或转动的状态,当用红外光照射有机物材料时,分子中的基团可发生振动并吸收与其具有相同振动频率的红外光。不同基团的振动频率不同,在红外光谱上的位置也不同。
环氧树脂、云母片及玻璃丝布3种材料的主要红外光谱吸收峰如下:环氧树脂中主要为甲基基团对应的2 960 cm-1和2 860 cm-1处的吸收峰,苯环对应的1 604 cm-1和1 510 cm-1处的吸收峰,苯环对位取代对应的831~835 cm-1处的吸收峰;云母片中主要为羟基对应的3 630 cm-1处的吸收峰,Si-O基团对应的998cm-1处的吸收峰,以及羟基对应的550 cm-1和480 cm-1处的吸收峰;玻璃丝布无明确IR谱,与无定型二氧化硅类似。未老化的电机线棒主绝缘材料的红外图谱如图4所示,从图4可以看出,上述基团在图上都有明显的体现,在1 000 cm-1附近可观测到明显的特征峰,对应云母与玻璃丝布中Si-O的吸收峰;1 500 cm-1附近可观测到环氧树脂中苯环特征峰,1 750 cm-1附近考虑为环氧树脂固化反应后生成的C=O基团特征峰,3 600 cm-1处对应云母中羟基的特征峰。
不同老化周期电机线棒主绝缘材料的红外吸收光谱如图5所示,试样的红外图谱变化情况如表2所示。从图5表2可以看出,随着老化周期的增加,1 200 cm-1附近的吸收峰变得愈发明显,考虑为老化过程中生成了亚硝基化合物。线棒绝缘在老化过程中与环境中的杂质接触可能造成局部放电,生成的臭氧与含氮化合物容易和水或环氧树脂中的-CH3反应,从而生成亚硝基化合物。1 733 cm-1处的环氧树脂相关特征峰峰值增大,这是因为在初始热老化过程中部分未反应完全的环氧树脂与固化剂在高温下继续反应并二次固化。此外,随着热老化的进行,环氧侧链可能发生热氧老化过程,生成包含C=O基团的酸。在3 629 cm-1处也出现了很强的吸收峰,对应-OH特征峰,且随着老化周期的增加峰值逐渐增大,这可能是由于云母与玻璃丝布中包含-OH基团,随着老化试验的推进,材料中的环氧链段发生了氧化反应,生成更多的-OH基团。
线棒主绝缘材料在热老化过程中会发生一系列的物理及化学反应,出现化学键断裂和分子重构等微观现象,试样质量可能发生变化。测试不同老化周期下试样热失重率可间接反映线棒绝缘内部结构的变化情况。选取试样加热到600℃时的质量流失率(失重率)和试样质量减少5%时所对应的温度(T95%)这两个参数来表征线棒绝缘的热稳定性能。图6为分别在180℃和205℃下老化不同周期的线棒绝缘试样失重率及T95%的变化规律。
图6可以看出,不同热老化温度条件下绝缘试样的失重率随老化周期的增加而降低,降低速率呈现先快后慢的趋势。180℃温度下,线棒主绝缘的失重率在第1老化周期下降较为迅速,从未老化状态时的30.3%降低至24.44%;在第1周期至第4周期失重率的变化速率变缓,到第4周期时降低至14.12%;在第5周期之后,线棒主绝缘的失重率变化较小,第6周期结束后达到13.49%。205℃温度下,线棒主绝缘的失重率在前3个周期下降速度较为均匀,在第3周期后趋于稳定,老化结束后的失重率为10.74%。与之相对应,不同热老化温度条件下绝缘试样的T95%随老化周期的增加而升高。在180℃时,试样的T95%在第1周期升高较快,随后升高速率逐步放缓。在205℃时,试样的T95%稳步升高,在第3周期时趋于稳定。
结合红外光谱测试结果分析,热老化过程对线棒主绝缘中的云母片和玻璃丝布无明显影响,高温环境主要导致环氧树脂的成分发生变化,环氧链段发生氧化反应,同时自身发生热分解,导致了不同老化周期环氧失重率的变化。
抽水蓄能发电机在生产、运输、运行等过程中,定子线棒主绝缘受到不断变化的机械力、电磁力、热应力等多种力作用,特别是在发电机突发故障时,线棒所受作用力会增至平常的数十倍甚至数百倍,这些应力会使绝缘产生形变和位移,造成线棒损伤和匝间短路。为了保证定子线棒可靠运行,线棒主绝缘需保证足够的机械强度以应对外部环境应力作用。因此,针对线棒主绝缘的力学特性研究也显得尤为重要。
弯曲强度是反映材料基本力学性能的重要参数之一,可表征线棒绝缘在机械应力作用下的抗弯曲能力。
测试前用磨砂纸对试样棱角进行打磨处理,防止棱角过于锐利引起应力分散。
首先对未老化试样进行三点弯曲测试,其弯曲强度-弯曲应变情况如图7所示。从图7可以看出,测试初期随着材料应变量的变化,应力也随之逐渐增大,其变化趋势近似呈线性关系。当应变量达到5%左右时,应力随应变量增加的增速开始降低,当应变量增大至7%时应力达到最大值48.03 MPa,之后骤降至28.17 MPa,此处考虑为线棒绝缘承受压力达到最大值而断裂所导致,骤降前的应力最大值48.03 MPa即为该试样的弯曲强度。
之后对各老化试样分别进行三点弯曲测试,老化后试样应力随应变量变化也呈现相似的规律。记录不同老化周期试样的弯曲强度,结果如图8所示。从图8可以看出,随着老化时间的延长,试样的弯曲强度整体呈下降趋势。当老化温度为180℃时,试样弯曲强度在前2个老化周期下降速率较快,从48.03 MPa降低至31.77 MPa,在第2周期后下降速率放缓,到第6周期时弯曲强度为20.61 MPa;当老化温度为205℃时,试样随老化时间的增加近似呈线性下降,到第4周期时为18.12 MPa。
由于线棒主绝缘材料中的云母片和玻璃丝布均为无机材料,环氧树脂作为有机材料很大程度上影响了材料的力学特性。结合红外光谱和热重测试结果分析,高温下环氧树脂会发生交联和降解两种反应,交联导致高分子链间形成化学键,改变材料脆性,降解导致材料中主链受到破坏使分子量降低。由于热老化过程材料中环氧树脂含量不断减少,试样脆性变大,所承受弯曲强度也随着加速热老化而减小。
玻璃化转变温度(Tg)是材料由较为稳定的玻璃态转变为形变量较大的高弹态时的温度,能够反映试样分子链产生构型变化时的温度,一般而言玻璃化转变温度的高低反映了分子链由刚性转向柔性所需的能量大小。利用动态热机械分析可以测量玻璃化转变温度,如将Tg定义为损耗模量峰值处的温度,或动态黏度固定为某个数值时的温度。根据Tg的定义,本文将动态模量(E′)曲线第一个拐点处相连两直线延长线的交点所在温度定义为玻璃化转变起始温度(Tgs),将第二个拐点处相连两直线延长线的交点所在温度定义为玻璃化转变结束温度(Tge),整个玻璃化转变温度区间宽度△Tg=Tgs-Tge,其示意图如图9所示。对比不同老化周期下定子线棒主绝缘试样的玻璃化转变温度即可对其老化状态以及力学性能的优劣做出判断。
对不同老化周期的试样进行测试,180℃和205℃下热老化不同周期的试样动态模量变化情况如图10所示,具体数据列于表3中。从图10可以看出,随着温度的升高,试样的储能模量在初期保持为玻璃态模量状态,在经历一个陡降后达到高弹态模量状态。
表3可以看出,180℃下随着热老化周期的增加,玻璃态下材料的动态模量有明显减小的趋势。
考虑随着热老化时间增加,作为粘接剂的环氧树脂含量不断下降,试样中开始出现气隙与分层缺陷,对试样施加较小的应力也会产生较大的形变。动态储能模量定义为施加应力幅值与其产生应变的幅值之比,根据定义可推断动态模量逐渐降低,与试验结果相符合。从图10还可以看出,随着老化周期的增加,前3个周期试样的玻璃化转变起始温度逐渐增大,试样的玻璃化转变温度区间有变宽的趋势。从微观结构上分析,由于热老化后环氧树脂分子的柔性降低,其需要更大的热能来进行玻璃化转变过程,因此玻璃化转变温度区间整体向高温移动且区域变宽。后3个周期同一试样动态模量曲线随温度升高不再呈标准曲线状,而是先上升再下降,或是保持一段平稳后下降,且下降幅度较小。考虑此时已是热老化后期,试样中的环氧树脂含量很少,主要表征为无机物的材料特性,随着温度的升高在短期内强度呈小幅度增加,当温度进一步升高时,无机物中分子断裂,动态储能模量开始下降。205℃老化下老化试样也呈现相似的规律。
对不同老化周期下试样的损耗模量进行分析,如图11所示。从图11可以看出,随着老化周期的增加,热老化前期试样的损耗峰在向高温侧移动,同时损耗峰值呈变小的趋势。老化后期由于试样中环氧树脂含量较少,主要表征为无机物的材料特性,因此损耗峰峰值较低且呈现不明显。
(1)随着老化周期的增加,定子线棒主绝缘试样表面开始出现裂纹,环氧、云母也开始发生破损,材料内玻璃丝带逐渐裸露直至暴露在空气中;老化试样的红外谱图在3 629、1 733、1 200 cm-1附近的吸收峰变得愈发明显,考虑是由于环氧侧链发生了热氧老化,且老化过程中生成了亚硝基化合物。
(2)不同热老化温度下绝缘试样的失重率随老化周期的增加而降低,并且降低速率呈现先快后慢的趋势,这是由于随着热老化试验的进行,试样中环氧树脂含量不断减少。
(3)在热老化过程中,试样的弯曲强度整体呈下降趋势,玻璃态状态下的材料动态模量明显有减小的趋势。试样的损耗峰向高温侧移动,同时损耗峰值有变小的趋势。热老化前期试样的玻璃化转变起始温度逐渐增大,试样的玻璃化转变温度区间有变宽的趋势。而热老化后期时动态模量曲线下降幅度较小,考虑为此时试样中的环氧树脂含量已很少,主要体现为无机物的材料特性。
