Basin insulator is an important part of gas insulated closed combination switchgear (GIS) device, and its quality has an important impact on the construction and operation of power grid. In this paper, the failure causes of basin insulators were described, and the existing detection methods were compared in common cracking locations. According to the material characteristics of basin-type insulators and field test conditions, the probe frequency, K value, and chip size were calculated theoretically. An ultrasonic water immersion focusing oblique probe device was developed, a method of detecting cracks near the bolt holes of basin insulator by using the low-frequency dual-probe ultrasonic detection technology was proposed, and the test results were verified by laboratory penetration and ray detection. The results show that the ultrasonic refraction transverse wave with high signal-noise ratio can be generated in the basin insulator by using dual probes with 2 MHz 18×18 mm of model size and 24.8°-35.4° of angle (αL) between the axis of the wafer emission acoustic beam and the normal line of workpiece interface. It is feasible to use special low frequency double probe ultrasonic detection technology to detect the defects of GIS basin insulators.

盆式绝缘子是气体绝缘封闭组合开关(GIS)设备的重要部件,其质量状况对电网的建设及运行有着重要影响。本文阐述了盆式绝缘子的失效原因,在常见开裂位置上对现有检测方法进行对比分析。依据盆式绝缘子的材料特性和现场检测条件,理论计算得到探头频率、K值、晶片尺寸等数据,研制了一种超声波水浸聚焦斜探头装置,提出利用低频双探头超声波检测技术对盆式绝缘子螺栓孔附近裂纹进行检测的方法,并通过实验室渗透、射线检测等对检测结果进行验证。结果表明:采用型号为2 MHz 18×18 mm、晶片发射声束的轴线与工件界面的法线夹角αL为24.8°~35.4°的双探头可以在盆式绝缘子中激发出信噪比较高的超声折射横波。采用特定低频双探头超声波检测技术对GIS盆式绝缘子进行缺陷检测具有可行性。

盆式绝缘子是气体绝缘封闭组合开关(GIS)设备的重要部件,其质量状况对电网的建设及运行有着重要影响。本文阐述了盆式绝缘子的失效原因,在常见开裂位置上对现有检测方法进行对比分析。依据盆式绝缘子的材料特性和现场检测条件,理论计算得到探头频率、K值、晶片尺寸等数据,研制了一种超声波水浸聚焦斜探头装置,提出利用低频双探头超声波检测技术对盆式绝缘子螺栓孔附近裂纹进行检测的方法,并通过实验室渗透、射线检测等对检测结果进行验证。结果表明:采用型号为2 MHz 18×18 mm、晶片发射声束的轴线与工件界面的法线夹角αL为24.8°~35.4°的双探头可以在盆式绝缘子中激发出信噪比较高的超声折射横波。采用特定低频双探头超声波检测技术对GIS盆式绝缘子进行缺陷检测具有可行性。

Basin insulator is an important part of gas insulated closed combination switchgear (GIS) device, and its quality has an important impact on the construction and operation of power grid. In this paper, the failure causes of basin insulators were described, and the existing detection methods were compared in common cracking locations. According to the material characteristics of basin-type insulators and field test conditions, the probe frequency, K value, and chip size were calculated theoretically. An ultrasonic water immersion focusing oblique probe device was developed, a method of detecting cracks near the bolt holes of basin insulator by using the low-frequency dual-probe ultrasonic detection technology was proposed, and the test results were verified by laboratory penetration and ray detection. The results show that the ultrasonic refraction transverse wave with high signal-noise ratio can be generated in the basin insulator by using dual probes with 2 MHz 18×18 mm of model size and 24.8°-35.4° of angle (αL) between the axis of the wafer emission acoustic beam and the normal line of workpiece interface. It is feasible to use special low frequency double probe ultrasonic detection technology to detect the defects of GIS basin insulators.

随着电网建设的快速发展,变电站建设中因地质状况、场地条件和环境等因素的影响,使用GIS全封闭组合电器的情况日益增多。与常规敞开式变电站电气设备不同,GIS设备的结构精密,所占空间较小,运行过程中能够适应多种环境,并能够稳定运行,且安装方便,配置灵活。因此,GIS设备在高压、超高压甚至特高压领域中都得到了广泛应用。但如果在GIS内部存在导电杂质、水分或者绝缘设备发生故障时,就会产生局部放电,甚至导致绝缘事故发生,产生严重的后果。
运行经验表明,GIS设备中因盆式绝缘子导致的故障率约为26.6%,其中裂纹缺陷故障又占绝缘子故障的80%。鉴于盆式绝缘子在GIS中的重要作用,为减少因绝缘子失效而导致的GIS故障或更大的事故损失,有必要对盆式绝缘子的健康状况进行检测。通常采用脉冲电流法、超高频法、X射线检测、气体分析法、超声导波法[2-6]对盆式绝缘子进行检测。脉冲电流法是利用局部放电在介质两端产生电荷,同时在介质的两端建立电流回路,则该回路上会产生脉冲电流,通过测量该回路上检测阻抗的脉冲电压,可以实现局部放电的测量。脉冲电流法可对局部放电的发生及强弱进行检测,但容易受外界电磁干扰的影响。超高频法是利用宽带高频接收局部放电陡脉冲激发的电磁波来判断放电状况,其灵敏度较高且具有较好的抗干扰能力,其中300 MHz以下频段是抗干扰能力较好的频率集中点,缺点是不能实现对放电量的标定。X射线检测可以对缺陷进行实时成像,但检测过程复杂,现场辐射较大,受现场检测条件限制,无法实现全方位100%检测,且灵敏度较低,检测时间较长。气体分析法是通过检测放电产生的分解气体进行分析,但其检测灵敏度比较低,这是由于分解气体扩散需要的时间较长,而且要达到具有可检测性的浓度较困难。超声导波法是利用材料中导波的传播特性,检测材料的宏观缺陷、组织结构和力学性能的变化,具有灵敏度高并且衰减较小等优点,但该方法检测工作复杂、效率较低,现场检测的可行性受限。
本研究提出一种针对盆式绝缘子螺栓孔附近缺陷的超声波检测方法,分析超声波在盆式绝缘子中的传播特性,利用低频双探头检测技术,对盆式绝缘子螺栓孔附近的开裂缺陷进行检测。同时,利用渗透检测及射线检测,验证利用双探头低频超声波进行检测的可行性。
超声波是指频率大于20 kHz的机械波,可在不同介质界面上产生折射、衍射、反射和波型转换,具有频率高、方向性较好、波长短、能量高、穿透力较强的特点,其中纵波和折射横波可应用于材料检测领域。折射横波是指当超声纵波入射角在第一临界角与第二临界角之间时,入射后经波形转换得到的横波[7]。具体波形转换过程如图1所示,当纵波(L)从介质Z1入射到介质Z2时,会产生反射纵波(L′)、折射纵波(L″)、反射横波(S′)和折射横波(S″)[8-10],各类型波均符合折射、反射定律,如式(1)所示。

式(1)中:CL1CS1为Z1中纵波、反射横波的波速, m/s;CL2CS2为Z2中折射纵波、折射横波的波速,m/s;αLαL为Z1中纵波的入射角、反射角;βLβS为Z2中纵波、横波的折射角;αS为Z1中横波反射角。
在相同介质中纵波波速不变,即纵波入射角(αL)等于纵波反射角(αL)。在相同介质中纵波波速大于横波波速,即纵波折射角(βL)大于横波折射角(βS),纵波反射角(αL)大于横波反射角(αS)。
第一临界角α:由式(1)得出,随着αL增大,βL也随之增大,当αL增大到某个角度时βL增大到90°,此时的纵波入射角即为第一临界角α,如图2(a)所示。
第二临界角α:由式(1)得出,当CL1小于CS2时,βS大于αL,当αL增大时,βS也随之增大,当αL增大到某一角度时,βS为90°,此时的纵波入射角为第二临界角α,如图2(b)所示。
αα可知,当αL小于α时,Z2介质中折射纵波(L″)和折射横波(S″)同时存在;当αL介于αα之间时,Z2介质中存在单一折射横波(S″),超声波横波检测是利用介质Z2中只有单一横波进行检测的。
当被检样品存在裂纹缺陷时,仪器显示屏一次波与二次波会出现特征缺陷波幅,二次波幅会因缺陷波的存在有所下降,超声波通过被检样品时,如果遇到不连续缺陷,一部分超声波会反射至探头被探头接收,反射的超声波优先到达探头,故在二次波之前显示在仪器屏幕上;另一部分超声波通过缺陷到达底面,通过底面界面反射到达探头,故到达底面的超声波传播时间较长,出现在缺陷波之后。检测前可通过预先了解盆式绝缘子外圆弧至密封圈的距离来判断一次波、二次波及缺陷波的特征显示。
超声波探头的机电耦合系数、机械品质因子、压电电压常数、介电常数、居里温度和声阻抗等参数与其晶片有关,超声波在盆式绝缘子材料中衰减大,探头应具有好的发射和接收灵敏度,并且应具有分辨率高、盲区小等优点。通过对比常规单晶材料和多晶材料特性,最终选择多晶材料PZT-5制作压电晶片。
为进一步提高探头分辨率,需采用聚焦探头,由文献[11]可知,焦距F必须小于近场区长度N,聚焦效果才明显。一般盆式绝缘子外圆弧至密封圈处的距离为60 mm左右,探头晶片尺寸和频率直接关乎探头近场区的大小,应尽可能使探头近场区的长度大于焦距。近场区的长度N可通过式(2)~(3)进行计算。

式(2)~(3)中:ab分别为探头晶片的长和宽,mm;λ为波长,mm;C为盆式绝缘子中横波的波速,m/s;f为探头频率,MHz。
由式(2)~(3)可知,若探头频率增大,波长减小,则近场区长度增大,但频率增大,衰减增大,不利于检测;反之,若探头频率减小,波长增大,则近场区长度减小,相应的焦距也必须减小,检测范围减小,会存在漏检;盆式绝缘子外圆弧宽度有限,若晶片尺寸过大会耦合不好,根据式(2)~(3)若采用1 MHz 18 mm×18 mm的探头,则近场区N长度约为27.75 mm;若采用2 MHz 18 mm×18 mm的探头,则近场区N长度约为42.89 mm;综合考虑选用2 MHz 18 mm×18 mm的探头。
为了更好地达到聚焦效果,晶片前安装一个半径为r的声透镜,探头内部中空,即声透镜接触面为中空,探头与工件接触面为有机玻璃的弧面,弧面能与工件检测面相适应,中空腔内装入声速小于声透镜的水。声透镜中的声速为2 500 m/s,有机玻璃中的声速为2 370 m/s,水中的声速为1 480 m/s左右,待测盆式绝缘子中经实测横波声速为3 272 m/s左右,纵波声速为5 677 m/s左右,则根据式(4)计算得出焦距F

式(4)中:F为焦距,mm;C1为声透镜中的声速,m/s;C2为水中的声速,m/s;r为声透镜半径,mm。
同时为达到更好的聚焦效果,焦距F必须选在近场区以内,即FN=42.89 mm,经计算采用半径r为17 mm的声透镜可以满足FN的要求。
由于全横波折射获得的波形单一,对缺陷的判定相对容易,为了满足盆式绝缘子纯横波检测条件,只能存在单一折射横波(S″),并保证斜楔材料与待测工件具有较高的超声往复透射率,使声压转化效率提高。根据公式arcsin(CL3/CL4)-arcsin(rCL3/RCS4)计算得出只有单一横波的探头入射角,其中,CL3为斜楔中纵波的声速,CL4为待测工件中纵波的声速,CS4待测工件中横波的声速,r′为盆式绝缘子密封圈处半径,R为盆式绝缘子外半径。计算得出发射声束的轴线与工件界面的法线夹角αL为24.8°~35.4°,则根据计算结果设计探头结构如图3所示。
使用图3所示结构探头时,斜楔的圆弧面与盆式绝缘子的外圆弧面贴合,晶片通电后产生超声纵波,该超声纵波经过声透镜聚焦后射入斜楔,入射角处于盆式绝缘子的第一临界角与第二临界角之间。超声波在盆式绝缘子的接触面同时产生反射和折射,斜楔表面凸起的牛角,可以减少杂波的影响,使反射波进入牛角不返回晶片,最后被吸声材料吸收;由于声透镜的声速C1>水中的声速C2,平面波入射到凸透镜上使其折射波聚焦,再入射到声速C3C2的盆式绝缘子中,其折射波在工件内进一步聚焦;折射后的声波转变成横波,从而达到检测效果。
探头前沿及探头延迟利用CSK-IA试块进行测定。利用式(5)在与待测盆式绝缘子材料声学特性相近的材料中测定材料衰减系数α

式(5)中:F1F2分别为显示屏第一、二次底波的分贝值;6为扩散衰减引起的分贝差;μ为发射损失量,单次损失量为0.5~1.0 dB;h为工件厚度,mm。
根据待测盆式绝缘子的声学特征计算检测所用横波声速,横波声速测量方法:将两只同型号、同规格探头放置在与待测盆式绝缘子材料物理特性相近的平面中,调节两探头,使接受探头底面波波幅显示深度与底面实际厚度h一致,此时对应声速为横波在待测盆式绝缘子中的声速,如图4所示。测量两探头之间的距离L,用于计算实际K值(tanβ),K值(tanβ)表示为式(6)

盆式绝缘子安装在密闭的GIS金属壳内,只有盆式绝缘子侧面外露在金属壳外部,现场安装如图5所示,图中红色带子部分为盆式绝缘子外露部分,现场检测时,可将红色带子去掉进行检测。断面示意图如图6所示。
采用美国GE公司的USM36型便携式超声波探伤仪进行测试。该仪器具有较高的信噪比,能避免因材料衰减过大引起的噪声波影响。采用研制的低频超声波探头,在原始盆式绝缘子表面上进行仪器校准,采用双探头一发一收检测方法,将探头置于螺栓孔两侧(如图7所示),调整探头在盆式绝缘子材质中的声速,找到反射波回波的最高显示波,并调整分贝值至满屏的80%,将该调整后的分贝值作为基准灵敏度,提高4 dB作为检测灵敏度。
受盆式绝缘子的结构特性及检测条件限制,超声波检测只能从螺栓孔两侧进行检测;检测过程中,调整好检测灵敏度,前后移动探头,观察屏幕一次波与二次波之间的特征波幅显示。对3组盆式绝缘子进行现场试验检测,结果发现两种不同信号显示,如图8所示。因盆式绝缘子内部接地线与螺栓孔相对预埋位置不同,螺栓孔处接地线成隔孔布置,即在接地线的两个螺栓孔中间布置一个无接地线螺栓孔。从图8可以看出,螺栓孔附近出现不同波幅的缺陷反射回波,受内部接地线影响,螺栓孔附近存在两种形态:一种形态为螺栓孔通过接地线直接与密封圈处接地线连接得到,如图8(a)所示;另一种形态为螺栓孔未与接地线连接得到,如8(b)所示。为验证检测准确性,对其中一组盆式绝缘子开展实验室论证检测。
对检测发现缺陷的盆式绝缘子凸面及凹面分别进行渗透检测,采用清洗剂、渗透剂、显像剂(型号均为DPT-5)进行检测,渗透时间不少于10 min,清洗后干燥时间为5 min,采用自显像,检测结果如图9所示。从图9可以看出,螺栓孔附近出现明显的渗透剂回渗现象,裂纹清晰可见。
利用DR实时成像技术,搭载Rhythm Review数据采集操作系统及Rhythm Acquire图像处理软件对发现缺陷的盆式绝缘子开展检测。
DR检测成像系统主要由X射线发射器、成像板、图像处理系统、设备连接线等元件组成。其工作原理是依靠X射线穿过不同厚度、不同密度的样品后,成像板中的接收器捕捉高压信号,并将高压信号转换为图像信号,从而得到不同灰度、黑度的图像,经过有线或无线接收器传输到计算机,再通过计算机软件进行图像处理,可以直观地观察到被检工件内部缺陷的性质、尺寸和相对位置等[12-16],检测结果如图10所示。从图10可以清晰地看到,DR射线图像中螺栓孔附近出现明显的缺陷影像。
综上所述,渗透检测及射线检测均发现螺栓孔附近有开裂缺陷,射线照片中螺栓孔与接地线直接连接成隔孔分布,验证了超声波两种缺陷波形显示的准确性,表明基于低频双探头超声波方法可用于盆式绝缘子缺陷的检测。
(1)采用型号为2 MHz 18×18 mm、晶片发射声束的轴线与工件界面的法线夹角αL为24.8°~35.4°的双探头可以在盆式绝缘子中激发出信噪比较高的超声折射横波。
(2)由于缺陷处超声波的反射,通过观察底波与始波之间波幅的变化,可以检测出盆式绝缘子螺栓孔附近是否存在缺陷。
(3)通过渗透检测和射线检测,验证了基于低频双探头超声波的盆式绝缘子缺陷检测方法的有效性。
