Outdoor oil-filled cable terminals are key accessories in high-voltage transmission and transformation lines. However, high-voltage cable terminal failures have occurred continuously under cold weather in China, which seriously affects the safety of power grid operation. For this reason, an equivalent experimental device for the cable main insulation-stress cone interface insulation of the oil-filled cable terminal was designed, and the effect of the silicone rubber/XLPE interface coating silicone oil on the partial discharge activity under 10℃ and -30℃ was tested. Moreover, the failure mechanism was studied according to microscopic observations and electric field simulation. The results show that under 10℃, coating silicone oil on the interface can effectively improve the compatibility and insulation strength of the cable terminal interface. When there is no scratch, the partial discharge initial voltage of the interface coating with silicone oil is about 17.2% and 200% higher than that without coating silicone oil. However, under -30℃, silicone oil has a solidification shrinkage effect, resulting in the generation of air gap or the re-exposure of inherent blemish, and the partial discharge initial voltage decreases significantly, which is even slightly lower than that without coating silicone oil. The electric field simulation results show that the maximum field strength distortion value under very cold environment is 6.26 kV/mm, which is higher than the electric strength of air, and it is easy to cause discharge breakdown.

户外充油电缆终端是高压输变线路中的关键附件,在寒冷天气下,国内连续发生多起高压电缆终端故障,严重影响电网运行安全。为此,本文设计了充油电缆终端主绝缘-应力锥界面绝缘等效试验装置,分别测试了10℃及-30℃下硅橡胶/XLPE界面涂覆硅油对局部放电活动的影响,并基于微观观测及电场仿真手段对故障机理进行探究。结果表明:在10℃下,界面涂覆硅油可以有效改善电缆终端界面相容性,增强界面绝缘强度,无缺陷及存在划痕缺陷时,涂覆硅油后界面局部放电起始电压相较于未涂覆硅油时分别提高约17.2%和200%;然而,在-30℃下,硅油存在凝固收缩效应,导致气隙的产生或固有缺陷再次暴露,局部放电起始电压显著降低,甚至略低于未涂覆硅油状态。电场仿真结果表明极寒环境下最大场强畸变值达6.26 kV/mm,已超过空气的电气强度,极易引发放电击穿。

户外充油电缆终端是高压输变线路中的关键附件,在寒冷天气下,国内连续发生多起高压电缆终端故障,严重影响电网运行安全。为此,本文设计了充油电缆终端主绝缘-应力锥界面绝缘等效试验装置,分别测试了10℃及-30℃下硅橡胶/XLPE界面涂覆硅油对局部放电活动的影响,并基于微观观测及电场仿真手段对故障机理进行探究。结果表明:在10℃下,界面涂覆硅油可以有效改善电缆终端界面相容性,增强界面绝缘强度,无缺陷及存在划痕缺陷时,涂覆硅油后界面局部放电起始电压相较于未涂覆硅油时分别提高约17.2%和200%;然而,在-30℃下,硅油存在凝固收缩效应,导致气隙的产生或固有缺陷再次暴露,局部放电起始电压显著降低,甚至略低于未涂覆硅油状态。电场仿真结果表明极寒环境下最大场强畸变值达6.26 kV/mm,已超过空气的电气强度,极易引发放电击穿。

Outdoor oil-filled cable terminals are key accessories in high-voltage transmission and transformation lines. However, high-voltage cable terminal failures have occurred continuously under cold weather in China, which seriously affects the safety of power grid operation. For this reason, an equivalent experimental device for the cable main insulation-stress cone interface insulation of the oil-filled cable terminal was designed, and the effect of the silicone rubber/XLPE interface coating silicone oil on the partial discharge activity under 10℃ and -30℃ was tested. Moreover, the failure mechanism was studied according to microscopic observations and electric field simulation. The results show that under 10℃, coating silicone oil on the interface can effectively improve the compatibility and insulation strength of the cable terminal interface. When there is no scratch, the partial discharge initial voltage of the interface coating with silicone oil is about 17.2% and 200% higher than that without coating silicone oil. However, under -30℃, silicone oil has a solidification shrinkage effect, resulting in the generation of air gap or the re-exposure of inherent blemish, and the partial discharge initial voltage decreases significantly, which is even slightly lower than that without coating silicone oil. The electric field simulation results show that the maximum field strength distortion value under very cold environment is 6.26 kV/mm, which is higher than the electric strength of air, and it is easy to cause discharge breakdown.

高压电缆终端是高压电缆敷设时连接其他电力设备必不可少的附件,其中充油终端在高压电缆终端中占有较大的比例,其主要结构是在电缆绝缘屏蔽层的端部加装应力锥以改善电场分布,并装入瓷质套管中,套管内通常填充硅油或聚异丁烯作为外绝缘部分[1-2]。其内部结构复杂、安装技术工艺要求高,发生绝缘缺陷事故概率占电缆总事故的50%以上,因此是电缆绝缘的薄弱环节[3-7]。近几年,随着我国极端天气的出现(最低环境温度达-40℃),充油电缆终端出现多起炸裂事故,严重影响电网的安全稳定运行[8-9]。对故障电缆终端进行现场解体发现,其内部填充的硅油发生凝固,并在应力锥内表面存在明显放电痕迹,综合现场环境状况及输电安全性的要求,迫切需要研究低温环境对于电缆终端运行状况的影响规律,以保证户外充油电缆终端的安全稳定运行。
针对低温环境对电缆终端运行情况的影响,文献[10]分别对不同环境温度下电缆终端的故障概率进行分析后,指出电缆附件发生故障与环境温度有很大关系。文献[11]对比不同温度下车载乙丙橡胶电缆终端局部放电特性,发现低温对电缆终端局部放电起促进作用,相比20℃环境条件下,-40℃环境条件下其起始电压和熄灭电压分别降低了31%和28%。文献[12-14]研究指出硅脂涂覆可有效填补材料界面微小缺陷,提升界面结合强度,但硅橡胶与硅脂存在溶胀效应,作为溶剂的硅脂分子会渗入至硅橡胶内部,使得硅橡胶交联密度降低,自由体积增大,在电场作用下绝缘材料进一步发生劣化。文献[15-16]研究发现在低温环境下,绝缘材料劣化区域增加,相较于常温环境下,一旦电树枝形成将对超导电缆终端破坏更为严重。综上,目前对于低温环境对电缆终端内部绝缘材料特性的影响已取得丰富的研究成果,但针对寒冷天气下户外充油电缆终端的事故引发机理尚未清晰,因此有必要进一步进行探究。
本研究针对户外充油电缆终端的结构特点,设计主绝缘-应力锥界面绝缘等效试验装置,搭建低温局部放电测试系统,采用逐级升压方法对比分析-30℃与10℃下涂覆硅油相变对于硅橡胶/XLPE界面局部放电特性的影响,并基于微观观测及电场仿真手段,进一步阐述低温环境下界面结合特性演变过程及绝缘强度降低原理,揭示寒冷天气下电缆终端内部故障的成因。
硅橡胶试样采用甲基乙烯基硅橡胶,制备过程为:在室温条件下将硅橡胶与硫化剂按质量比1∶100混合10 min,随后以6 MPa压力在175℃条件下热压10 min,压制成厚度为0.3 mm的硅橡胶片,待冷却后取出试样,并剪裁成直径为42 mm的圆片。
XLPE试样采用交联聚乙烯颗粒,在135℃条件下进行密炼,密炼完成后放入压片机,并在135℃和150℃条件下采用8、16、24 MPa阶梯加压方式分别加热3 min,随后在24 MPa固定压力下热压30 min,制成厚度为0.5 mm 的XLPE样片,待冷却后取出试样,并剪裁为直径为42 mm的圆片。同时,为凸显硅油对硅橡胶/XLPE界面结合状态的改善效果,分别制作无明显缺陷及存在人为划痕缺陷的XLPE试样片进行对比试验。
局部放电测试系统如图1所示,由调压器、高压试验变压器、保护电阻、分压器、测试电极腔体、局放信号采集设备及低温试验箱组成,整体局放测试电路符合IEC 60270:2015规定。试验变压器输出电压范围为0~30 kV,2 MΩ保护电阻串联接入测试回路以防止发生过流现象,1 000∶1分压器实时测量施加电压幅值,并为局放采集设备提供相位同步信号;为模拟电缆终端主绝缘-应力锥界面绝缘结构,设计特殊测试电极腔体,腔体采用柱-板电极结构,上电极为直径25 mm的圆柱电极,电极边缘采用直径为3 mm的圆倒角处理,下电极为直径35 mm的圆板电极并做半径为0.5 mm的圆倒角处理,此外,装置上方装有压力传感器,测试时,试样同轴置于上、下电极间,通过高度调节螺母,控制电极与试样的压紧力保持在0.05 MPa;装置设有柱形油腔,各组试验均注入高凝点(-40℃)绝缘油淹没试样,防止产生沿面放电影响试验结果;局放测试系统采用意大利Techimp公司生产的PDCheck设备,测试带宽为16 kHz~30 MHz,采样频率为100 ms/s。
在局部放电试验前,应确保PDCheck的同步频率与施加电压频率保持一致,并将环境噪声的两倍设置为触发阈值,放电量超过该阈值即视为发生局部放电。局部放电试验包括局部放电起始电压(PDIV)测试和局部放电相位(PRPD)图谱测试,其中PDIV测试以200 V/s匀速阶梯升压,记录首次出现局部放电时的施加电压有效值为PDIV,并取5次测量结果的平均值作为最终局部放电起始电压测量结果;局部放电相位图谱测试设置脉冲最大采集数为5 000,持续采样时间为5 min。试验中分别设置环境温度为10℃及-30℃,并对比引入界面无硅油及涂覆硅油试验组,以探究硅油低温相变对主绝缘-应力锥界面局部放电活动的影响。
气泡作为一种典型非金属杂质,其介电常数小于其他绝缘材料,因此其内部电场强度更高,易发生局部放电。为探究硅油低温凝固收缩导致电缆终端内部出现气泡时的电场畸变情况,设置电缆终端主绝缘与应力锥界面存在刀痕缺陷(深度为0.1 mm,宽度为0.2 mm),并在额定工作电压下,对比仿真以下4种界面条件下的电场分布:界面未涂覆硅油状态、界面涂覆硅油状态、极寒环境下由于硅油凝固收缩而导致刀痕缺陷暴露及涂覆硅油升温熔化产生随机气泡分布。仿真模型为220 kV/2 500 mm2瓷套式户外充油电缆终端,其结构如图2所示,电缆终端长度为2.88 m,瓷套最大外径为0.36 m,内部填充硅油液面高度为2 m,其中主绝缘与应力锥绝缘硅橡胶界面存在厚度为0.3 mm的硅油涂覆层,仿真参数设置如表1所示。
表2是常温及低温环境下硅橡胶/XLPE界面涂覆硅油状态对局部放电起始电压的影响测试结果。从表2可以看出,在10℃下,无缺陷及存在划痕缺陷时涂覆硅油试样的PDIV相较未涂覆硅油的情况分别提高了约17.2%和200%,这是因为涂覆硅油可有效填充硅橡胶/XLPE界面空腔,提高界面电气强度,使得PDIV显著提高;但在-30℃下,当硅橡胶/XLPE界面涂覆的硅油凝固后,PDIV相比10℃下显著降低,甚至低于未涂覆硅油状态组;随着环境温度升高,当界面涂覆的硅油由固态恢复至液态后,PDIV有一定提高,但仍低于初始涂覆硅油状态组,因此推断界面硅油低温凝固后会对界面绝缘强度产生不可逆的潜伏性影响。
图3所示为硅橡胶/XLPE界面引入划痕缺陷情况下的局部放电PRPD测试图谱。从图3可以看出,放电脉冲主要分布在第一、三象限,正、负半周期对称性较强,并呈典型“龟背”状,为典型内部放电。在10℃下,涂覆硅油试样(图3(c))相较于未涂覆硅油试样(图3(a)),局放剧烈程度明显更低,表明涂覆硅油可有效提高界面接触效果,填补界面气隙缺陷,从而降低局部放电幅值及减少放电次数;从图3(d)可以看出,在-30℃下,涂覆硅油对于界面结合性能的提升效果明显降低,局部放电幅值、放电重复率均呈现增大趋势;随着环境温度的升高,当界面涂覆硅油融化后,放电强度并未恢复到凝固前状态,放电幅值仍高于10℃下涂覆硅油组。
图4是硅橡胶/XLPE界面无人为引入缺陷情况下的局部放电PRPD测试图谱。从图4可以看出,放电特征与存在划痕缺陷时基本一致,为内部放电,初步推断为XLPE表面存在微小缺陷所致。从图4(a)(c)可以看出,在10℃下涂覆硅油试样相较于未涂覆硅油试样,局放剧烈程度稍有改善;从图4(d)可以看出在-30℃下,当界面涂覆硅油由液态变为固态时,涂覆硅油试样相较于未涂覆硅油试样(图4(b)),局放幅值及放电重复率均呈现上升趋势,随着温度升高,当硅油恢复至液态后(图4(e)),放电强度有所降低,但仍未恢复至凝固前原有状态并与未涂覆硅油状态组接近。此外,从图4(a)(b)还可以看出,当硅橡胶/XLPE界面未涂覆硅油时,-30℃下的局部放电幅值及放电重复率相比10℃下未见明显加强,进一步说明硅油在低温环境中发生相变是导致硅橡胶/XLPE界面局放加强的主要原因。
为探究低温环境下硅油相变对于硅橡胶/XLPE界面结合特性的影响,开展了极寒条件下界面缺陷形态演变的微观观测。微观观测试样采用交联聚乙烯-硅橡胶层叠方式,并在界面制造了如图5所示的3种常见缺陷类型,分别为:①圆孔类,直径约为2 mm,深度约为1 mm;②方形类,边长约为3 mm,深度约为1 mm;③划痕,长度约为10 mm,宽度约为1 mm,楔形深度约为0.3 mm。试验采用增强光学显微镜分别观察无硅油涂覆、涂覆硅油、寒冷条件下涂覆硅油凝固及温度回升凝固硅油熔化4种状态下的缺陷形态演变过程。
图6为硅油形态对界面缺陷暴露情况观测结果。受水汽影响,图像清晰度下降,因此采用灰度处理方法对图片进行处理,处理后图中黑色表示为空气、白色表示为硅油。从图6可以看出,对于3种缺陷类型,其微观形貌演变过程基本一致。在10℃条件下,界面涂覆硅油均可有效填充缺陷空腔,使得界面结合状态得到明显提升;随着温度降低,硅油发生凝固,凝固后硅油存在明显体积收缩效应,导致原本被硅油填充区域再次产生气隙缺陷;随着温度进一步回升,涂覆硅油逐渐熔化,但在熔化过程中由于硅油体积不规则膨胀,在原本缺陷位置产生大量随机分布气泡,导致绝缘界面无法恢复至凝固前的填充状态,从而导致界面处电场分布畸变,并使界面绝缘强度不可逆转地降低,因此可初步推测低温环境下主绝缘-应力锥界面涂覆硅油收缩,导致界面微缺再次暴露是造成极寒环境下充油电缆终端故障的主要原因。
为进一步探究硅油低温凝固至升温熔化状态过程中缺陷形态演变对于电场分布的影响情况,开展了电缆终端电场分布特性仿真试验。图7分别展示了界面未涂覆硅油状态、界面涂覆硅油状态、极寒环境下由于硅油凝固收缩而导致刀痕缺陷暴露及涂覆硅油升温熔化产生随机气泡分布4种界面条件下的电场分布仿真结果。由图7(a)可以看出,当主绝缘与应力锥界面无硅油涂覆时,其界面存在大面积气隙缺陷,造成严重的电场畸变,最大场强为6.26 kV/mm;从图7(b)可以看出,当主绝缘与应力锥界面涂覆硅油后,原本的刀痕缺陷及界面气隙被硅油填充,由于硅油介电常数与硅橡胶、XLPE相近,可有效改善界面电场分布,最大场强降至2.66 kV/mm,相比未涂覆组降低57.5%。从图7(c)可以看出,降低环境温度使得主绝缘与应力锥界面涂覆硅油凝固收缩,导致原有刀痕缺陷完全暴露,此时电场畸变程度进一步加重,最大场强畸变值达6.48 kV/mm,甚至略高于界面无硅油涂覆状态,远高于空气的电气强度(3 kV/mm),易于发生局部放电;当环境温度超过硅油熔点时(图7(d)),界面硅油熔化产生随机气泡分布,最大场强相比刀痕暴露状态有一定下降,降至4.30 kV/mm,但仍高于空气的电气强度,同样存在放电击穿风险,因此,界面涂覆硅油一旦发生凝固现象,将对终端界面产生不可逆电场畸变,且畸变值均大于空气的电气强度,威胁电缆终端的安全稳定运行。仿真结果与PDIV、PRPD图谱测试结果完全一致,进一步证明:极寒条件下,硅油发生凝固收缩现象,主绝缘与应力锥界面固有缺陷再次暴露,畸变电场分布,从而引发局部放电,并最终导致充油电缆终端故障的发生。
(1)在10℃下,界面涂覆硅油可以有效改善电缆终端界面相容性,改善界面处场强分布,绝缘界面无缺陷及存在人为划痕缺陷时,局放起始电压分别提高了17.2%和200%;在-30℃下,界面涂覆硅油组均出现PDIV下降、放电幅值及放电重复率增加,而未涂覆硅油对照组均无明显变化,进一步证明硅油低温相变是导致硅橡胶/XLPE界面局放加强的主要原因。
(2)硅油在极寒下会发生明显的凝固收缩现象,造成界面固有缺陷再次暴露;温度上升硅油熔化,可填补因硅油凝固收缩暴露的气隙缺陷,但并不能完全恢复至凝固前的良好状态,产生潜伏缺陷,同时结合电场仿真结果表明极寒环境下硅油凝固时,最大场强畸变值达6.48 kV/mm,熔化后最大畸变场强下降至4.30 kV/mm,但仍高于空气的电气强度,易出现局部放电造成的绝缘油劣化或整体失效等故障。
(3)低温下硅油物理形态发生变化造成应力锥-电缆绝缘界面产生气隙缺陷或使固有缺陷再次暴露,是导致冬季户外电缆充油终端发生击穿故障的主要原因。
