The liquid crystal epoxy monomer was cured to obtain liquid crystal epoxy resin prepolymer, and liquid crystal epoxy resin fiber films with different fiber diameters were obtained by electrospinning technique. The birefringence of the samples was observed by polarizing microscopy and removable hot stage, and the mechanical properties, dielectric properties, and insulation properties of the liquid crystal epoxy resin fiber films with different fiber diameters were systematically evaluated. The results show that the liquid crystal epoxy resin prepared by electrospinning method can form and maintain an ordered liquid crystal phase. The finer the fiber diameter, the higher the degree of orientation arrangement, and when the fiber diameter is 280 nm, the tensile strength (7.53 MPa) of the liquid crystal epoxy resin fiber film is the largest. Under the test frequency ranging from 10-1 Hz to 106 Hz, the dielectric constant of the liquid crystal epoxy resin reaches to the highest value of 2.34, and the dissipation factor is only 0.002 at industrial frequency. In addition, the liquid crystal epoxy resin fiber film has high resistivity, and when the fiber diameter is 280 nm, the volume resistivity of the liquid crystal epoxy resin fiber film can reach to 5.49×1015 Ω·cm.

将液晶环氧单体固化后得到液晶环氧树脂预聚物,利用静电纺丝技术得到了不同纤维直径的液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜。利用偏光显微镜和可移动热台对样品进行双折射性观察,并系统评价了不同纤维直径的液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的力学性能、介电性能以及绝缘性能。结果表明:利用静电纺丝方法制备的液晶环氧树脂可以形成并保持有序的液晶相。直径越细的纤维取向排列程度越高,当纤维直径为280 nm时,液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的拉伸强度最大,为7.53 MPa。液晶环氧树脂在10-1~106 Hz的测试频率下,介电常数最高为2.34,介质损耗因数在工频下仅为0.002。此外,液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜具有较大的电阻率,当纤维直径为280 nm时,液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的体积电阻率可以达到5.49×1015 Ω·cm。

将液晶环氧单体固化后得到液晶环氧树脂预聚物,利用静电纺丝技术得到了不同纤维直径的液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜。利用偏光显微镜和可移动热台对样品进行双折射性观察,并系统评价了不同纤维直径的液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的力学性能、介电性能以及绝缘性能。结果表明:利用静电纺丝方法制备的液晶环氧树脂可以形成并保持有序的液晶相。直径越细的纤维取向排列程度越高,当纤维直径为280 nm时,液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的拉伸强度最大,为7.53 MPa。液晶环氧树脂在10-1~106 Hz的测试频率下,介电常数最高为2.34,介质损耗因数在工频下仅为0.002。此外,液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜具有较大的电阻率,当纤维直径为280 nm时,液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的体积电阻率可以达到5.49×1015 Ω·cm。

The liquid crystal epoxy monomer was cured to obtain liquid crystal epoxy resin prepolymer, and liquid crystal epoxy resin fiber films with different fiber diameters were obtained by electrospinning technique. The birefringence of the samples was observed by polarizing microscopy and removable hot stage, and the mechanical properties, dielectric properties, and insulation properties of the liquid crystal epoxy resin fiber films with different fiber diameters were systematically evaluated. The results show that the liquid crystal epoxy resin prepared by electrospinning method can form and maintain an ordered liquid crystal phase. The finer the fiber diameter, the higher the degree of orientation arrangement, and when the fiber diameter is 280 nm, the tensile strength (7.53 MPa) of the liquid crystal epoxy resin fiber film is the largest. Under the test frequency ranging from 10-1 Hz to 106 Hz, the dielectric constant of the liquid crystal epoxy resin reaches to the highest value of 2.34, and the dissipation factor is only 0.002 at industrial frequency. In addition, the liquid crystal epoxy resin fiber film has high resistivity, and when the fiber diameter is 280 nm, the volume resistivity of the liquid crystal epoxy resin fiber film can reach to 5.49×1015 Ω·cm.

随着电力电子技术和直流输电技术的飞速发展,对高性能电子封装材料和直流输电线路盆式绝缘子的绝缘材料提出了更高的要求,包括良好的力学性能、优异的耐热、防潮以及介电性能 [1-3]
环氧树脂由于其具有良好的加工特性,优异的介电性能、热性能和力学性能,被认为是21世纪电子封装领域最具竞争力的候选材料[4-5]。然而,作为热固性树脂,韧性较差成为环氧树脂最大的缺点;此外,较高的固化温度和后固化温度也限制了环氧树脂在先进工业中的进一步推广应用。目前,人们已经开发了很多方法来改善环氧树脂的韧性和力学性能,例如通过与弹性体、热塑性塑料或其他热固性树脂共混或共聚来提高环氧树脂的韧性[6-11]。但是,与纯环氧树脂相比,改性后的环氧树脂性能有所下降,主要是介电常数和介质损耗增大[12-13],不利于环氧树脂的实际应用。基于此,人们急需开发出一种新方法,在克服环氧树脂原有缺点的同时又不损害其原有的突出性能,主要是介电性能、绝缘性能等。
静电纺丝是通过使带有电荷的高分子溶液或熔体在高压静电场中喷射、拉伸、劈裂、固化或者溶剂挥发,最终形成纤维状物质的过程。通过静电纺丝,能够生产出高比表面积、高孔隙率、高拉伸强度的纳米纤维,能满足不同领域对纳米纤维的需求[14-15]。通过静电纺丝得到的液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜具有高度的取向性,通过干燥和固化等工艺可以提高其本征导热性。目前已经证明,静电纺丝是一种控制聚合物晶体形态和分子取向的简单而通用的技术。静电力导致环氧树脂的结构改变,从随机取向到沿纤维轴的优先取向。通过静电纺丝制备得到的样品一般具有极低的热膨胀系数、高长径比、取向稳定等特点,有利于提高复合材料的热稳定性和机械强度[16]
本研究以液晶环氧树脂单体为基体,利用静电纺丝技术制备不同纤维直径的液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜,并系统评价不同纤维直径液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的力学性能、介电性能以及绝缘性能,希望可以为高性能电子封装材料的制备提供参考。
液晶环氧树脂单体(TMBP),环氧当量为186~197,环氧值为0.51~0.54,淡黄色块状固体,甘肃化工研究所;固化剂:4,4-二氨基二苯砜(DDS),相对分子质量为248,纯度高于97%,白色粉末,阿拉丁试剂有限公司;催化剂:三苯基膦(TPP),纯度高于99%,白色结晶,阿拉丁试剂有限公司;二甲基甲酰胺(DMF)、丁酮(MEK),均为分析纯,透明液体,成都科隆化学品有限公司。
首先取适量液晶环氧树脂单体TMBP于烧杯中,在180℃下油浴使其熔融,随后加入定量的固化剂DDS和催化剂TPP,控制TMBP、DDS和TPP的质量比为100∶55∶0.75,继续在180℃下以800 r/min的转速加热搅拌反应30 min以形成琥珀色黏稠液体,之后使其自然冷却至室温获得液晶环氧树脂预聚物。将预固化的液晶环氧树脂预聚物溶解在质量比为5∶1的DMF/MEK混合溶剂体系中,通过超声分散(超声功率为500~600 W,超声频率为100~110 kHz)12 h使其充分溶解,预聚物溶液质量分数控制为55%~70%。
将预聚物混合溶液装入容量为10 mL的纺丝注射装置中,注射器针头选用内径为0.4 mm的平头金属针,将高压电源的正电极加载在金属针上,负电极加载于接收器表面,选择覆盖有铝箔纸的导电滚轮作为纺丝收集装置,静电纺丝相关工艺参数设置如下:施加正压为15~20 kV,负压为1~2 kV,针尖与收集器距离为20 cm,滚轮接收器旋转速率为100 r/min,注射器推进速率为0.04 mm/min。将纺丝装置(其原理如图1所示)置于封闭盒中,控制温度为25℃,湿度为40%以下进行纺丝。纺丝完毕后将纤维薄膜置于真空干燥箱在50℃下干燥6 h以除去溶剂,最后通过程序化加热使纤维固化,固化程序为110℃/2 h+130℃/2 h+150℃/2 h+180℃/2 h。通过将不同浓度的预聚物溶液作为纺丝前驱体,可以分别得到不同纤维直径的液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜。
偏光显微镜分析(POM)采用Olympus公司的BX53-P型偏光显微镜和可移动热台对样品进行双折射性观察,观察TMBP的液晶相转变过程和液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的结晶性。POM法是观测液晶高分子聚合物的一种最直接的方法。观察液晶相通常使用正交偏振光,正交偏振是指经过起偏器的线偏振光经过聚光镜、标本、物镜后,样品的偏振特性会使原来的线偏振光的振动方向发生变化,只有垂直于原来线偏振光振动方向的偏振光可以通过后面的检偏器,从而被目镜接收。
拉伸强度是薄膜材料在实际应用中需要考虑的一个重要指标,其大小在很大程度上取决于复合材料中填料与基体的界面结构。因此对液晶环氧纤维薄膜进行了拉伸强度测试,分析纤维直径对薄膜复合材料拉伸性能的影响。采用TINISOLSEN公司的H25KL型万能材料试验机对薄膜进行拉伸强度测试,根据GB/T 2567—2008制备长度为20 mm、宽度为5 mm的测试样条,并分别测量样条厚度。设置初始力为0.05 N,对测试样条沿轴向以恒定速度施加一个静态拉伸荷载,直到样条发生断裂,测试得到样条的最大拉力P,进行平行测试5次取平均值。根据式(1)计算得到拉伸强度σ

式(1)中:σ为拉伸强度,MPa;P为最大拉伸作用力,N;bh分别是样条的宽度和厚度,mm。
绝缘材料的介电特性是反映其绝缘性能的重要参考量,研究液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的介电性能对于评估其绝缘状态具有重要意义。介电特性测试采用德国Novecontrol公司的Concept 80型宽频介电和阻抗谱仪。测试装置上、下两极需要镀覆导电极(金膜),电极直径分别为15 mm和20 mm,测试样品置于电极中间。在室温下,测试10-1~106 Hz范围内的介电谱图,采用WinDETA软件和数据采集卡设置样品形状参数和频率范围,运行测试程序选择测试数据类型,最终画出相对介电常数和介质损耗因数的变化曲线图。
体积电阻率是表征材料绝缘性能的重要参数之一。测试电阻率常采用三电极法,通过控制开关闭合分别测出试样的体积电阻Rv和表面电阻Rs,然后经过计算得到样品的体积电阻率,三电极法测试原理如图2所示。
将少量TMBP单体研磨成粉末放置在热台上,热台加热速率为5℃/10 min,偏光显微镜调至正交偏正光观察样品成像变化。在低温区间内,TMBP为固态,视野内为黑色。TMBP单体升温至105℃时的偏光显微镜图如图3所示。
图3可以看出,当温度上升至105℃时,视场出现大量明亮的结晶态物质,且即使保持该温度不变,结晶物也会在几秒内逐渐迅速消逝,最终又转变为全黑的视场,且继续升温再无变化。说明TMBP在105℃发生了由各向异性的液晶相向各向同性的无定型相态的转变。
当TMBP最终加热至220℃仍然无明显变化,此时控制热台从220℃开始降温,降温速率为5℃/10 min,观察TMBP在降温过程中的液晶相变化,当温度降至80℃时如图4所示。从图4可以看出,视场内出现闪亮的棒针状的图案,随着温度持续降低至75℃,这期间结晶区域短时间内不断延伸扩大,最终形成基本铺满视场的明亮结晶区域。说明在80℃附近TMBP由无定形相转变为各向异性的液晶相。通过反复进行升温和降温,都能观察到上述的相变过程,由于只有液晶相才能在重复加热或冷却过程中产生快速的相转变而普通结晶物质不行,证明TMBP是可形成液晶态的单体,有助于在聚合物复合材料中形成有序取向结构。
为了研究制备的液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的液晶相和有序取向结构,使用偏光显微镜对在固化后的液晶环氧树脂进行直接观察,如图5所示。由于已经固化完全,温度对其液晶相无影响,不需要使用热台。从图5(a)可以看出,在视场范围内出现绚丽的彩色图案,放大观察部分结构如图5(b)所示,可以看到在明亮的区域内显现有大理石纹形状的织构,同时在以中心旋转偏光显微镜载物台时,视场内的彩色区域会产生周期性的明暗交替变化,每旋转90°明暗变化一次。明暗交替和色彩是正交偏振光通过液晶分子的有序结构时由于双折射性导致不同方向上折射率不同而产生的,说明利用静电纺丝工艺制备的液晶环氧树脂固化后可以形成并保持有序的液晶相,有序的液晶区域可以减少声子散射,有利于声子沿取向路径传递。
图6是液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜拉伸强度随纤维直径变化的曲线图。从图6可以看出,当纤维直径为280 nm时,液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的拉伸强度最大,为7.53 MPa,随着纤维直径的逐渐减小,薄膜的拉伸强度逐渐减小,当纤维直径大于800 nm后,拉伸强度降至4.96 MPa以下。这是由于在静电纺丝过程中,射流通过静电力产生拉伸,高速旋转的滚筒接收器使得纤维取向排列,纤维越细,取向排列程度越高,固化后的薄膜更致密,使得沿纤维取向方向的抗拉伸能力增强;而纤维越粗,纤维之间的孔隙率增大,纤维交错密度减小,同时由于此时纤维宽度分布较宽,所构成的纤维薄膜稳定性较差,导致力学性能表现不佳。
图7所示为液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的拉伸断面的SEM图。从图7可以看出,薄膜具有纤维构建的孔状结构,当受外界拉伸应力时可以以此作为缓冲区域,虽然拉伸强度与拉伸模量相对于其他块体或者塑料薄膜等材料相比会差1~2个数量级,但也因为其柔韧性和纤维交错紧密的特点,具备了一定的韧性。
图8是液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的相对介电常数随频率变化的特性曲线。从图8可以看出,薄膜的相对介电常数很稳定,随频率的变化较小,而纤维越细,介电常数越大。纤维直径为280 nm时,纤维薄膜在50 Hz下的相对介电常数为2.34,这是因为静电纺丝过程中,滚筒收集器接收时的牵引作用使得液晶环氧树脂纤维有序取向,结构规整度较高,减少了聚合物大分子链之间的界面极化和转向极化,所以介电常数较大。随着纤维直径变粗,纤维薄膜中的孔隙含量也逐渐提高,使其介电常数减小,当纤维直径达到800 nm以上时,纤维之间出现粘连现象,纤维膜的孔隙含量差异不大,因此薄膜的介电常数不再继续大幅减小。
介质损耗因数是电介质在交变电场作用下,由于介质电导和极化等导致的消耗能量而使本身发热的现象,介质损耗因数(tanδ)可衡量介质损耗的大小,介质损耗因数越小则介质损耗越小,说明绝缘材料的绝缘性能越好。图9为液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的介质损耗因数曲线。从图9可以看出,不同纤维直径的液晶环氧树脂薄膜的介质损耗因数均随着频率的增大呈现先减小后增大再减小的趋势,这主要与纤维薄膜内极性基团的松弛极化损耗和电导损耗有关,在低频区,电导损耗贡献很大,在高频区,松弛极化损耗占主导。但液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的介质损耗因数都保持很小的值,最大不超过0.008。纤维直径为280 nm时,纤维薄膜在低频段有着更小的介质损耗因数,在工频下仅为0.002,满足实际运用中的介电性能要求。
液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的体积电阻率测试结果图10所示。从图10可以看出,液晶环氧树脂薄膜的体积电阻率随着纤维直径减小逐渐增大,当纤维直径为280 nm时,体积电阻率达到了5.49×1015 Ω·cm,这是因为液晶环氧树脂本身绝缘性能较好,较细的液晶环氧树脂纤维在后固化过程中交联程度更高,性能更好,而较粗纤维由于孔隙中存在空气导致电阻率下降,但是仍然在一个很高的数量级,仍然有着优异的绝缘性能。
(1)TMBP在升温和降温过程中都会出现液晶相,TMBP固化后可以保持有序的液晶相,有助于在聚合物复合材料中形成有序取向结构。本研究制备的纤维薄膜当纤维越细时由于取向和交联度高,拉伸强度随之提高,当纤维直径为280 nm时,液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的拉伸强度最大为7.53 MPa,具有良好的力学性能。
(2)在10-1~106 Hz的测试频率范围内,纤维直径细的纤维薄膜相对介电常数较大,当纤维直径为280 nm时,其在工频50 Hz下为2.34,且介质损耗因数仅为0.002,满足实际运用中的介电性能要求。
(3)本研究制备的液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜具有较大的电阻率,当纤维直径为280 nm时,液晶环氧树脂纤维薄膜的体积电阻率可以达到5.49×1015 Ω·cm,具有良好的绝缘性能。
