The ageing failure of composite insulators in coastal areas has always brought great hidden danger to the safe and stable operation of power grid in coastal areas, and it is also the key and difficult point in the operation and maintenance management of composite insulators. In this paper, the post composite insulators used in substations with different operation years were studied, and the relationship between the hydrophobicity and the operation years was analyzed. The results show that the hydrophobicity is closely related to the high voltage environment, insulator surface orientation, and other factors, and when the operation time of insulators reaches 7 years, the hydrophobicity declines sharply.

复合绝缘子在沿海地区工况下的老化失效问题一直给沿海地区电网安全、稳定运行带来重大隐患,也是复合绝缘子运维、检修管理中的重点和难点。本文对不同运行年限的变电站用支柱式复合绝缘子展开研究,分析了其憎水性能与运行年限之间的关系。结果表明:变电站用支柱式复合绝缘子的憎水性与高压环境、绝缘子表面朝向等因素密切相关,当绝缘子运行时间达到7年时,其憎水性能急剧下降。

复合绝缘子在沿海地区工况下的老化失效问题一直给沿海地区电网安全、稳定运行带来重大隐患,也是复合绝缘子运维、检修管理中的重点和难点。本文对不同运行年限的变电站用支柱式复合绝缘子展开研究,分析了其憎水性能与运行年限之间的关系。结果表明:变电站用支柱式复合绝缘子的憎水性与高压环境、绝缘子表面朝向等因素密切相关,当绝缘子运行时间达到7年时,其憎水性能急剧下降。

The ageing failure of composite insulators in coastal areas has always brought great hidden danger to the safe and stable operation of power grid in coastal areas, and it is also the key and difficult point in the operation and maintenance management of composite insulators. In this paper, the post composite insulators used in substations with different operation years were studied, and the relationship between the hydrophobicity and the operation years was analyzed. The results show that the hydrophobicity is closely related to the high voltage environment, insulator surface orientation, and other factors, and when the operation time of insulators reaches 7 years, the hydrophobicity declines sharply.

复合绝缘子因具有质量轻、耐污性好、憎水性和憎水恢复性强等优点,在电网输电线路中得到了广泛的应用,但在运行过程中会出现粉化、发白、银纹等外观老化现象,导致其憎水性、机械强度下降以及耐污闪性能变差,有的甚至出现闪络并引发运行线路突发事故[1-2]。引起复合绝缘子老化的原因有污秽、电晕、电弧放电、紫外线、高温、高湿以及化学物质影响等,其中环境中的盐雾等化学物质沉积对复合绝缘子表面产生的破坏尤为严重[3-4]
我国沿海地区由于其海洋高盐度的特殊条件,以及近年来港口化工产业发展对环境带来的影响,复合绝缘子在该运行条件下的破坏行为与内陆地区输配电线路用复合绝缘子的破坏行为具有明显差异。目前有研究表明,输变电工程中复合绝缘子失效引起的故障主要原因在于其绝缘材质的老化[5],随着复合绝缘子使用年限的延长,其伞裙材料会老化变形、绝缘性能下降,特别是在雨雪天气,绝缘子伞裙表面易发生闪络、击穿。
为探究我国东部沿海地区高盐、高污秽条件下可能导致绝缘子加速老化的潜在风险,本文对浙江沿海地区相同工况条件下不同运行年限的支柱式复合绝缘子老化行为进行研究,分析不同运行年限条件下绝缘子伞套材料的憎水性能,希望能够为沿海地区电力线路检修、运维及相关绝缘子老化性能的研究提供参考。
为研究复合绝缘子工况条件下的老化行为,选择浙江沿海地区某一110 kV变电站内支柱式复合绝缘子进行研究,该变电站距离我国东海海岸线直线距离为14 km,属于典型亚热带季风气候区,常见台风、暴雨等气象条件,站内风向随季节变换较大,春夏季常见东风、东南风,秋冬季常见西南风、西北风,绝缘子选择同一厂家生产,运行年限为3、5、7、10年的绝缘子,样品基本信息如表1所示。为科学有效地评估绝缘子在工况条件下的性能,降低样品制备过程对试验结果的影响,样品制备过程中尽量保持样品原始状态,仅进行清洁预处理。
目前评价复合绝缘子表面憎水性能的方法主要有HC评级法和静态接触角法[6-7]。本文采用目前研究中应用最为广泛的能较好反映复合绝缘子憎水性能的分级方法——《复合绝缘子憎水性分类准则》,即HC法则。试验时,样品垂直悬挂,采用喷雾器距离样品25 cm对其表面进行喷淋,喷淋时间控制在20~30 s,在喷淋结束之后的10 s内完成伞裙表面憎水性的判别。
固体表面浸润性通常用静态接触角的大小来表征,为综合评估绝缘子样品的憎水性能,本试验参照GB/T 24622—2009《绝缘子表面润湿性测量导则》,采用光学接触角测量仪(上海轩准仪器HZCAMA1型)测量样品表面静态接触角。每次选取变电站用支柱式复合绝缘子高压端、中部、低压端伞裙材料进行样品制备,随机在样品表面选取5个点进行水滴滴落,测量5个水滴与样品表面的接触角大小,最后取5个点的平均值作为测量结果。同时为进一步评估运行条件下老化样品吸水性能,采用静态接触角变化指标对样品水滴60 s内的扩散情况进行研究。
利用HC评级法对浙江沿海地区运行条件下运行不同年限支柱式复合绝缘子高压端、中端、低压端的伞裙进行了憎水性测试,结果如表2所示。
表2可知,在相同工况条件下,随着运行年限的延长,支柱式复合绝缘子憎水性逐渐下降,大部分都处于HC2~HC5级水平,且在运行7年后,憎水性有明显跃迁现象,其憎水性从HC4级水平直接跃迁到HC6级水平;同时,研究发现随着运行年限的延长,在同一柱式复合绝缘子不同部位上憎水性呈现差异性,其高压端憎水性较低压端憎水性下降更为严重,上表面憎水性低于下表面憎水性。
出现以上现象的原因在于复合绝缘子在运行过程中,随着运行时间的延长,其老化程度日趋严重,当复合绝缘子表面出现老化后,沿海空气中的化学颗粒残留在绝缘子表面,诱导复合绝缘子材料加速老化[8]。变电站用支柱式复合绝缘子一般为立式安装,这导致柱式复合绝缘子上表面受紫外线和盐雾沉积影响更为严重,加速了其老化速度,造成样品上表面憎水性能下降速度快于下表面;同时,复合绝缘子高压端憎水性劣于中部和低压端,其原因在于支柱式复合绝缘子高压端高压放电行为较为频繁,放电过程中产生的臭氧和电弧加速了伞裙材料高分子链的断裂,导致其老化加速。在高压端局部放电过程中,随着盐雾和污秽在表面沉积量的增加,局部放电电流也随之增加,引起高压端的起痕和蚀损。正是这些因素的综合作用,导致高压端老化程度较低压端更为严重,憎水性下降也更加显著,而低压端放电行为相对较少,其老化速度较高压端更缓慢[6]
采用定容量液滴、定精度仪器测量固体表面液体接触角,由于该方法具有较好的复现性和可控误差,常用来表征固体表面浸润性。样品表面与水滴的接触面越小,其静态接触角越大,表明支柱式复合绝缘子的憎水性越好。为更好地评估运行条件下支柱式复合绝缘子不同部位的憎水性能,对样品静态接触角进行了测试,结果如表3所示。
表3可知,当支柱式复合绝缘子运行年限在3~5年时,其接触角随着运行年限的增加而减小,同时对于同一运行年限的支柱式复合绝缘子,其高压端的接触角要小于中端和低压端,该结果和HC评级法一致。但是对于运行7~10年的样品,其接触角结果异常,接触角增大且呈无规则变化,显示出较好的憎水性,该结果与HC评级法结果相斥。
结合表23可知,当支柱式复合绝缘子运行年限较短时,其老化程度较轻,仅发生在伞裙材料表层,当其表面老化时,憎水性结构受到破坏,导致其静态接触角减小,且其老化行为与电弧损伤、臭氧及光照等因素相关;而当站用支柱式复合绝缘子运行年限达到7~10年时,其老化行为加剧,绝缘子伞裙高分子材料出现降解,长链断裂生成微纳米级短链高分子粉体,在宏观上表现为伞裙材料表面发白,该粉体结构使伞裙表面与空气接触面积增大,当液体接触到伞裙材料表面时,液体与样品表面之间有气体隔挡,液体无法向伞裙材料内部渗透,反而使得伞裙材料的静态接触角增大,憎水性能提升[9-10];同时,粉化层含有未挥发的憎水性基团Si-CH3,随着绝缘子表面微纳米粉化颗粒的形成,提升该憎水性基团对绝缘子表面微纳米颗粒的包裹性,促进了其憎水性的提升[11]。因此,随着绝缘子老化程度的提升,当其表面出现粉化现象时,绝缘子的憎水性能反而提升。
复合绝缘子在运行过程中,其击穿、放电等形式的破坏绝大多数都发生在雨雪等天气,随着绝缘子的老化,当绝缘子吸水后,其有效绝缘厚度将降低,耐工频电压击穿能力将显著下降,同时绝缘子表面形成湿润储水层,易引发闪络等其他危害。为进一步探究绝缘子在工况条件下运行年限对吸水性的影响,本文采用接触角仪投影,研究水滴在绝缘子伞裙材料表面的扩散行为。
图1是表面接触角仪拍摄的水滴滴到不同运行年限支柱式复合绝缘子伞裙材料表面15 s和60 s的分散情况。由图1可知,当绝缘子运行3年时,其表面水滴在15~60 s内,液滴在伞裙材料表面可视体积基本没有变化;而当运行年限达到5年时,绝缘子伞裙材料表面的水滴高度和体积均出现较大变化,且接触角明显减小。以上结果表明,站用支柱式复合绝缘子在沿海运行条件下运行3年时,其伞裙材料吸水性较差,而当其运行至5年时,绝缘子伞裙材料吸水性显著增强。
随着绝缘子运行时间的延长,当复合绝缘子伞裙在运行条件下出现粉化行为时,其吸水性呈现差异性,图2是复合绝缘子伞套材料运行时长达7年时,水滴在伞裙材料表面的状态。由图2(a)可知,其伞裙材料呈较好的憎水性,与2.2节结果一致,且随着时间的延长,其水滴在伞套材料上无明显变化;从图2(b)可以看出,水滴接触润湿后的绝缘子伞裙材料表面时迅速流失,接触角接近0°,呈亲水性。这表明当绝缘子表面出现粉化行为且表面被水浸润时,吸水性较强,完全丧失了憎水性能。
为进一步探究运行条件下复合绝缘子吸水性出现差异化的原因,采用扫描电镜分别对运行7年和10年的绝缘子高压端上表面微观形貌进行了观察,结果如图3所示。
图3可知,当复合绝缘子在沿海运行条件下老化7年后,其表面可见明显解体层及孔洞,表面老化严重,但同时存在较平整区域;运行10年的样品表面解体图较运行7年的样品更为严重,且几乎无平整表面、孔洞增加明显,其老化较为彻底,这是因为在高盐度、高污秽的沿海地区,伞裙材料由于受高盐度空气、空气污秽、电弧等综合作用,硅橡胶的骨架发生了破坏,绝缘子内部白炭黑和氢氧化铝与样品表面的盐发生反应,出现解体、粉化行为,最后在绝缘子表面形成大的解体层和孔洞,这些解体层和孔洞反过来为含盐水汽扩散提供了通道[12],水汽中的OH-离子与复合材料中的Si-O键发生反应,导致硅橡胶的骨架破坏加速,且随着运行年限的延长,解体层和孔洞逐渐往绝缘子伞裙材料内部发展,导致其老化行为加速。当复合绝缘子表层粉体被液体浸润时,液体充满绝缘子粉化结构层,且粉化物质被水包裹,在表面形成亲水层,当液滴接触样品表面时,液体随着孔洞迅速扩散开来,导致样品吸水性增强,甚至完全丧失憎水性能。
通过对沿海地区运行条件下站用支柱式复合绝缘子老化行为研究,发现在运行条件下,绝缘子老化行为与绝缘子高压环境、表面朝向等密切相关。对伞裙材料的憎水性和吸水性研究发现,复合绝缘子高压端、上表面老化行为较其他部位更加明显,在短工龄条件下,随着运行时间的延长,其憎水性逐渐减弱;而当绝缘子表层出现粉化变色行为时,其憎水性反而增强,但被雨水浸润后,基本丧失憎水性能。因此,当站用支柱式复合绝缘子表面出现粉化变色行为时,其在长时间雨水环境下工作极具安全隐患,不利于电网安全运行,在输电线路检修工作中,可采用绝缘子高压端上表面伞裙粉化程度作为绝缘子老化行为评定标准,当其出现粉化时,建议进行更换。
