Silicone rubber/carbon iron powder composite was physically modified by adding hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) through melt blending, and the effects of h-BN on the mechanical properties, magnetic permeability, thermal conductivity, and thermal ageing properties of the composite were analyzed. The results show that h-BN well distributes in the composite, and it has good compatibility with silicone rubber matrix. The introduction of h-BN can effectively increase the tensile strength of the composite, while decrease the magnetic permeability. When the adding amount of h-BN is more than 20 phr, the thermal conductivity increases effectively. Under the continuous thermal ageing, the tensile strength of the composite increases at first and then decreases, while the elongation at break decreases continuously.

通过熔融共混的方法将六方氮化硼(h-BN)加入硅橡胶/羰基铁粉复合材料中,对其进行物理改性,研究六方氮化硼对复合材料力学性能、磁导率、导热性以及热老化性能的影响。结果表明:六方氮化硼在复合材料中分布均匀且与硅橡胶有良好的相容性;六方氮化硼的加入可以有效提升复合材料的拉伸强度,降低复合材料的磁导率。当六方氮化硼添加份数超过20份后可以有效提升复合材料的导热性能。持续的热老化会使含有六方氮化硼的复合材料拉伸强度先上升后下降,而断裂伸长率持续下降。

通过熔融共混的方法将六方氮化硼(h-BN)加入硅橡胶/羰基铁粉复合材料中,对其进行物理改性,研究六方氮化硼对复合材料力学性能、磁导率、导热性以及热老化性能的影响。结果表明:六方氮化硼在复合材料中分布均匀且与硅橡胶有良好的相容性;六方氮化硼的加入可以有效提升复合材料的拉伸强度,降低复合材料的磁导率。当六方氮化硼添加份数超过20份后可以有效提升复合材料的导热性能。持续的热老化会使含有六方氮化硼的复合材料拉伸强度先上升后下降,而断裂伸长率持续下降。

Silicone rubber/carbon iron powder composite was physically modified by adding hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) through melt blending, and the effects of h-BN on the mechanical properties, magnetic permeability, thermal conductivity, and thermal ageing properties of the composite were analyzed. The results show that h-BN well distributes in the composite, and it has good compatibility with silicone rubber matrix. The introduction of h-BN can effectively increase the tensile strength of the composite, while decrease the magnetic permeability. When the adding amount of h-BN is more than 20 phr, the thermal conductivity increases effectively. Under the continuous thermal ageing, the tensile strength of the composite increases at first and then decreases, while the elongation at break decreases continuously.

随着现代科学技术的发展,射频设备功率成倍增加,地面上的电磁波辐射对环境的影响日益增大,电磁干扰和电磁污染对人体健康,电子设备、人工智能的精确度和国防安全等均会造成极大的影响[1]。郭杰[2]发现电磁干扰下运行的电子设备不仅电子信号、传输速率、传输精准性受到严重影响,而且会出现信号消失、无法定位、信息获取和传递不顺畅的问题,尤其在过强或复杂的电磁环境下会出现无法工作的状况。因此,治理电磁污染,寻找一种能抵挡并削弱电磁波辐射的吸波材料,成为材料科学的一大课题[3]
硅橡胶由于具有良好的热稳定性、耐高低温性以及加工填充性,在电磁波屏蔽领域被作为吸波材料的基材使用[4]。而羰基铁粉具备温度稳定性好、磁导率高以及生产成本低的特点,是国内外研究最深入、应用最广泛、吸波性能优秀的电磁波吸收剂,且非常适用于填充硅橡胶。虽然羰基铁粉填充硅橡胶可以有效且可控地提升硅胶复合材料的吸波效果,但是并不能改善复合材料的力学性能,且对硅橡胶产品的传热效果提升有限,而5G基站用的电磁屏蔽硅橡胶产品在应用中会持续吸收5G基站运行时所散发出的热量,热量会因硅橡胶产品散热效果较差而无法及时散发出去,从而在产品内部积聚,加速其老化,进而极大地缩短产品的服役时间,被迫缩短运营商更换配件的周期,加大5G基站成本,不利于5G的普及[5-6]。因此,急需研发一种具有高导热系数的硅橡胶吸波材料。
研究发现提高导热性最有效的方法就是添加导热填料,六方氮化硼是一种由氮元素和硼元素组成的六角网状层面并相互重叠的晶体,具有良好的结构稳定性、耐热性以及优异的导热性,是提高材料导热性及强度的有效填料。冷鑫钰等[7]将聚苯乙烯微球与六方氮化硼混合并浸润环氧制备了具有三维氮化硼导热网络结构的复合材料,结果表明复合材料的力学性能有所提升且导热系数大幅提高。而在吸波硅橡胶中添加六方氮化硼来研究其复合材料相关性能的实验研究还相对较少[8-10]。因此本文探究六方氮化硼填充份数对硅橡胶/羰基铁粉复合材料力学性能、导热性能、磁导性能等的影响,并对其耐高温老化性能进行评价与分析。
硅橡胶,110-2型,南京东爵硅橡胶有限公司;羰基铁粉,深圳市广安化实业有限公司;六方氮化硼(h-BN),营口辽滨精细化工有限公司;2,5-二甲基-2,5-双(过氧化叔丁基)己烷(双25),江苏培星化工有限公司;其他助剂,市售。
飞纳扫描电子显微镜(SEM),Phenom Pro型,荷兰Phenom-world B.V.公司;透射电子显微镜(TEM),Spectra S型,赛默飞世尔科技公司;激光导热仪,LFA427型,德国耐驰公司;磁导率测试仪,ZRX-29811型,北京中瑞祥科技有限公司;高温老化实验箱,CREE-6009F型,东莞市科锐仪器科技有限公司。
在设计好的产品配方基础上引入六方氮化硼,分别称量0、5、10、15、20、25份h-BN,在双辊机上将其与产品配方在常温下共混5 min,再加入硫化剂至混合均匀,然后在平板硫化机上在175℃下硫化15 min制备出测试所需样片,按照相应国家标准的测试要求裁剪后测试。
①表面形貌:样品在液氮中脆断,真空下喷金,用SEM对其断面进行观察,测试加速电压为10 kV,将加速电压提高至15 kV后进行能谱分析;将粉体充分分散于水面,用铜网粘取表面分散薄膜,在室温下干燥后,用TEM观察粉体的颗粒形态。②结构分析:将样品厚度控制在100~200 nm,经铜网承载装入样品台后放入样品室进行观察。③拉伸强度:按照GB/T 1040.1—2006《塑料拉伸性能的测定 第1部分:总则》对老化不同时间的样品进行拉伸强度及断裂伸长率测试,拉伸速率为250 mm/min。④磁导率:按照JB/T 13536—2018《电磁屏蔽吸波材料磁导率测试方法》进行测试。⑤热导率:按照GB/T 11205—2009《橡胶 热导率的测定 热线法》进行测试。⑥热老化测试:将硫化后的样品放入热老化箱内在210℃下进行老化,分别在老化0、24、48、72、96、120 h后进行性能测试与对比。
图1是羰基铁粉与六方氮化硼的TEM图像。
图1(a)可以看出,羰基铁粉是球形颗粒,其平均粒径在1~1.5 μm,但其表面存在少量的附着物,降低了铁粉的光滑度,该层附着物可能是粉末在加工制备时携带的微量二氧化硅,刘晓彤等[11]使用XRF对羰基铁粉进行测试分析后发现存在0.52%的硅元素,验证了该推测。从图1(b)可以观察到六方氮化硼的尺寸更小,仅有几百纳米,属于纳米颗粒,其结构呈现出多边片状结构,并且在其内部观察到一定的孔洞,孔径在20~50 nm,从而使得氮化硼的比表面积大幅提升。
图2展示了填充不同份数氮化硼后,复合材料中填料颗粒的分散情况。
图2可以看出,未添加六方氮化硼的样品截面中分布着大量的羰基铁粉球形颗粒;随着六方氮化硼填充份数的不断增加,样品截面所能观察到的球形颗粒不断减少;当六方氮化硼填充份数达到25份时,截面的平整度显著下降,羰基铁粉颗粒数量也明显减少。这主要是由于氮化硼属于稳定的纳米片层结构,在硅橡胶中无规分布,呈现出不同的旋转角度,在样品断裂面形成了凹凸的褶皱,而氮化硼的高比表面积可以吸附一定数量的羰基铁粉,从而改善铁粉与硅橡胶间的相容性,使截面的铁粉含量减少[12]
选取添加25份六方氮化硼的样品SEM图进行能谱分析,观察样品截面的元素分布,结果如图3所示。从图3中可以明显地看出样品断裂截面的铁元素主要是分布在羰基铁颗粒上,而代表六方氮化硼的氮元素及碳元素则与代表硅橡胶的硅、氧元素分布基本重合[13],这表明六方氮化硼在硅橡胶中无规分布,也进一步说明了六方氮化硼与硅橡胶具有良好的相容性。
图4是添加六方氮化硼的样品力学性能的变化曲线图。从图4可以看出,未填充氮化硼的样品拉伸强度只有1.3 MPa,而随着六方氮化硼填充份数的不断增加,拉伸强度呈线性增加,当填充份数达到25份时,样品的拉伸强度达到2.3 MPa,相比于原始样品提升了76%,有效改善了样品的强度。出现这种现象可能是由于六方氮化硼的添加改善了羰基铁粉与复合材料的相容性,并且在拉伸应力的作用下六方氮化硼由无规排列变成了沿应力方向排列。但是样品的断裂伸长率并没有出现相同的变化趋势,而是呈现先上升后下降的现象,并在添加10份后上升至135%,这可能是由于适量的六方氮化硼可以增强样品的弹性,但是当填充份数过多时,会导致弹性下降,强度上升。
磁导率实验主要是基于低频波段(1 GHz)下对样品相对磁导率的研究。图5是不同h-BN填充份数下复合材料的磁导率。从图5可以看出,未添加氮化硼的样品磁导率为7.6 H/m,而随着六方氮化硼填充份数的不断增加,样品的磁导率不断下降,当填充份数达到25份时,磁导率下降至5.1 H/m。这主要是由于六方氮化硼本身不具备吸波特性,而六方氮化硼的添加降低了羰基铁粉所占总份数的百分比,进而导致样品的磁导率降低[14]。但是磁导率的降低并不意味着一定会对吸波材料产生负面影响。因为吸波材料在吸波过程中首先电磁波要能够进入材料内部,然后材料提供损耗(电损耗及磁损耗)将电磁波的能量损耗掉。材料的介电性能、磁性能和材料的厚度共同影响材料的阻抗,只有阻抗同空气的阻抗相近时,电磁波才能进入材料内部。因此一般而言如果材料的介电强度或磁导率过高(包括实部和虚部),都会使阻抗过高,电磁波无法进入材料,从而无法吸波。所以通过引入六方氮化硼一方面可以有效提高电磁屏蔽混炼胶的导热效果,另一方面可以根据产品的厚度、介电性能等的变化及需求调节六方氮化硼的添加份数从而使产品达到最佳的吸波效果。
通过热导率测试可以有效考察六方氮化硼对样品导热性的影响,测试结果如图6所示。
图6可以看出,未添加氮化硼的样品热导率只有1.55 W/(m·K),少量添加氮化硼对样品的导热性没有明显的改善,这主要是由于少量的六方氮化硼无规分散在复合材料中不能够产生连续的导热路径,而当六方氮化硼的添加份数超过20份后,能够在样品内部产生连续的导热路径从而使得导热性出现提升,当六方氮化硼添加至25份时,导热系数上升至2.05 W/(m·K),相比未添加氮化硼的样品提升了30%,可以有效地改善样品的导热性,防止受热过程中产生热积聚现象。
对添加了不同份数六方氮化硼的样品进行热老化试验,用于考察持续受热对样品力学性能的影响,结果如图7所示。
图7(a)可以看出,所有样品的拉伸强度均随老化时间延长先上升后下降,在老化72 h时达到最大值。六方氮化硼填充份数为25份的样品在老化时间少于72 h时的拉伸强度比其他样品更大,但是当老化时间超过72 h后拉伸强度的下降速度更快,这可能是由于短期老化使得硅橡胶样品二次交联[15-16],而大量的六方氮化硼起到了良好的相容作用从而提升了拉伸强度;而老化时间增加后拉伸强度下降速度更快,可能是由于硅橡胶分子链老化断裂降低了其与六方氮化硼的相容性。从图7(b)可以看出,未添加六方氮化硼的样品断裂伸长率在老化后呈现出先上升后下降的趋势,这主要是受到硅橡胶二次交联的影响。而添加了六方氮化硼后的样品断裂伸长率随着老化时间增加而持续下降,添加份数越多断裂伸长率越低,这可能也是六方氮化硼与硅橡胶相容性降低的影响导致。
(1)添加六方氮化硼可以有效改善硅橡胶/羰基铁粉复合材料的界面相容性,提高复合材料的拉伸强度,当添加份数达到25份时,硅橡胶复合材料的拉伸强度可达2.3 MPa。
(2)六方氮化硼会降低低频段硅橡胶/羰基铁粉复合材料的磁导率,可根据产品所需厚度、介电性能及磁性能的变化调整六方氮化硼的份数使产品达到最佳吸波效果。
(3)六方氮化硼添加份数超过20份时可以有效改善硅橡胶/羰基铁粉复合材料的导热性能,使其导热系数达到2.05 W/(m·K)。
(4)不同添加份数的六方氮化硼均会对硅橡胶复合材料的老化性能产生相同趋势的影响,持续的热老化会导致添加六方氮化硼的样品拉伸强度先上升后下降,而断裂伸长率持续下降。
