In order to study the effect of crepe paper on the curing characteristics of epoxy resin, we analyzed the curing process of epoxy resin and epoxy impregnated paper system by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The kinetic model parameters of curing reaction were calculated by Flynn-Wall-Ozawa and Malek methods. The results show that both the curing reaction of epoxy resin and epoxy impregnated paper system conform to the autocatalytic kinetic model. The hydroxyl group in the crepe paper has a catalytic effect on the curing reaction, which leads to the decrease of the activation energy of the curing reaction. The restraint of crepe paper leads to the decrease of the frequency factor and reaction order, so that the curing rate of epoxy impregnated paper system is slower than that of epoxy resin. At the same temperature, the curing process of epoxy impregnated paper requires more time.

为研究皱纹纸对环氧树脂固化特性的影响,采用差示扫描量热法(DSC)分析了环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸体系的固化过程。利用Flynn-Wall-Ozawa(FWO)法和Malek法计算得到了固化反应动力学模型参数。结果表明:环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸体系的固化反应均符合自催化动力学模型。皱纹纸内部的羟基对环氧树脂的固化有促进作用,致使固化反应活化能降低,但皱纹纸的束缚作用导致频率因子和反应级数降低,使得环氧浸渍纸的固化速率低于环氧树脂的固化速率。相同温度下,环氧浸渍纸固化需要更长时间。

为研究皱纹纸对环氧树脂固化特性的影响,采用差示扫描量热法(DSC)分析了环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸体系的固化过程。利用Flynn-Wall-Ozawa(FWO)法和Malek法计算得到了固化反应动力学模型参数。结果表明:环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸体系的固化反应均符合自催化动力学模型。皱纹纸内部的羟基对环氧树脂的固化有促进作用,致使固化反应活化能降低,但皱纹纸的束缚作用导致频率因子和反应级数降低,使得环氧浸渍纸的固化速率低于环氧树脂的固化速率。相同温度下,环氧浸渍纸固化需要更长时间。

In order to study the effect of crepe paper on the curing characteristics of epoxy resin, we analyzed the curing process of epoxy resin and epoxy impregnated paper system by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The kinetic model parameters of curing reaction were calculated by Flynn-Wall-Ozawa and Malek methods. The results show that both the curing reaction of epoxy resin and epoxy impregnated paper system conform to the autocatalytic kinetic model. The hydroxyl group in the crepe paper has a catalytic effect on the curing reaction, which leads to the decrease of the activation energy of the curing reaction. The restraint of crepe paper leads to the decrease of the frequency factor and reaction order, so that the curing rate of epoxy impregnated paper system is slower than that of epoxy resin. At the same temperature, the curing process of epoxy impregnated paper requires more time.

随着经济的蓬勃发展,社会用电量快速增长,但国内能源基地与负荷中心分布极不均匀,大容量远距离资源配置成为迫切需求。特高压直流输电的输送容量大、输电距离远,具有良好的经济性,已成为电能大规模输送的重要手段之一[1]。随着特高压直流输电工程的不断投运,对电力设备的安全性和稳定性提出了更高的要求。
换流变压器作为直流输电系统的关键设备,连接着交流和直流系统。近年来,对换流变压器故障的统计表明,换流变压器套管故障占有较高的比例,这是由于换流变压器阀侧套管连接着换流变压器和阀厅,在运行中需要长期承受交流和直流工作电压,还要承受启动、停运和极性反转等暂态电压,故对其设计、制造和运行维护都提出了严格的要求[2-3]。同时,阀侧套管是我国高端电力设备国产化的重要瓶颈之一。
环氧浸渍纸(resin impregnated paper,RIP)由环氧树脂(epoxy resin,EP)和皱纹纸复合而成,是换流变压器阀侧套管的主绝缘材料类型之一。环氧树脂固化后形成的三维网状结构具有良好的电气绝缘强度和较高的机械强度,皱纹纸具有良好的韧性,两者结合优势互补,形成的有机复合绝缘材料具有体积小、质量轻、防爆阻燃等优点[4-7]。但是,皱纹纸的引入会影响环氧树脂原有的固化机制,导致环氧浸渍纸固化后产生裂纹、固化不均匀等问题,因此有必要研究环氧浸渍纸的固化机制。目前关于环氧树脂复合材料固化动力学的研究主要集中在微、纳米粒子和玻璃纤维及碳纤维等的影响[8-13],而关于皱纹纸对环氧树脂体系固化反应的影响尚不清晰。科学地认知皱纹纸对环氧树脂固化的作用机理,掌握环氧浸渍纸的固化工艺,对优化换流变压器阀侧套管的生产工艺、提高设备的寿命以及稳定性具有重要的意义。
本文主要研究环氧浸渍纸与环氧树脂的固化特性差异。通过制备环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸材料,利用非等温差示扫描量热法(differential scanning calorimetry, DSC)对双酚A型环氧树脂和环氧浸渍纸体系进行固化动力学分析。采用Flynn-Wall-Ozawa(FWO)法求得固化反应的活化能,根据最概然Malek法构建固化动力学模型,分析皱纹纸的引入对环氧树脂体系固化反应的影响。
双酚A型液体环氧树脂(E51):环氧值为0.48~0.54 mol/100 g,南通星辰合成材料有限公司;固化剂:甲基六氢邻苯二酸酐(MHHPA),濮阳惠成电子材料有限公司;促进剂:二甲基苄胺(BDMA),分析纯,阿拉丁试剂(上海)有限公司;皱纹纸(TYPE 67/100),魏德曼有限公司。
称取适量环氧树脂,按比例加入固化剂及促进剂,用搅拌器由慢到快进行分段搅拌,充分搅拌后进行真空脱气,在323 K下抽真空30 min。脱气完毕后将在383 K下真空预处理8 h的皱纹纸放入模具中,进行真空浸胶处理,保证无气泡和水分。
采用差示扫描量热仪(DSC250型,美国TA公司)进行非等温测试。测试温度范围为313~523 K,升温速率设为5、10、15、20 K/min。在高纯氮气氛围中,测试不同升温速率下的热流速率-温度曲线,每组重复测试2次。
DSC数据分析基于以下3种假设[14-17]
(1)固化反应放热量与固化度成正比,如式(1)所示。

式(1)中:α为固化度;t为时间;Ht为从反应开始到t时刻固化反应的放热量;ΔH为固化反应总的放热量,可由DSC的热流速率-温度曲线面积计算得到。
(2)固化反应速率与热流速率成正比,如式(2)所示。

式(2)中:dα/dt为固化反应速率;φ为热流速率。
(3)环氧树脂的固化反应过程可以通过化学反应速率方程来描述,如式(3)所示。

式(3)中:T为绝对温度;f(α)为固化动力学模型;k(T)为反应速率常数,并且遵循Arrhenius方程,如式(4)所示。

式(4)中:A为指前因子(又称频率因子);Ea为表观活化能;R为气体常数,其值为8.314 J/(mol·K)。
图1为环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸体系在不同升温速率下的放热曲线。
图1可以看出,随着升温速率的提高,环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸体系固化放热峰的峰值逐渐变大,且放热峰向高温侧移动。这是因为升温速率较低时,环氧树脂体系有足够的时间充分反应。随着升温速率的提高,环氧树脂体系的固化反应速率滞后于设备热流速率,产生更大的温差,因此固化放热峰向高温侧偏移。
表1为环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸在不同升温速率下固化反应的特征温度值。从表1可以看出,环氧浸渍纸的特征温度高于环氧树脂的特征温度。
对不同升温速率下的DSC数据进行积分处理,可得到环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸体系固化度与温度的关系,如图2所示。从图2可以看出,环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸体系的固化曲线整体为“S”型。固化初期温度较低,环氧树脂黏度相对较高,分子活性较低,因而反应速率较低,曲线相对平缓。反应中期,随着温度的提高,反应速率也逐渐提高。固化反应末期,因为大部分环氧树脂已经完成固化反应,活性分子的运动受到束缚,进而导致反应速率逐渐减小,直到反应结束[18]。在相同升温速率下,环氧浸渍纸的固化曲线滞后于纯环氧树脂的固化曲线,这是因为皱纹纸与环氧树脂结合后,环氧树脂浸润在皱纹纸表面和内部,环氧树脂受到皱纹纸的束缚与隔离,阻碍了环氧树脂分子链的运动,降低环氧浸渍纸的固化反应速率。
图3为环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸体系固化速率与固化度的关系。从图3可以看出,相同温度下,环氧浸渍纸需要更长的固化时间。
反应活化能Eα是指分子从常态转变为容易发生化学反应的活跃状态所需的能量,表征化学反应的难易程度,其数值越小,反应越容易进行。为了准确获得环氧树脂及环氧浸渍纸体系固化反应的活化能,采用Flynn-Wall-Ozawa(FWO)法进行计算[19-20],如式(5)所示。

式(5)中:β表示升温速率;Tα,i为不同升温速率下固化度为α时对应的绝对温度;C为常数。
通过计算获得环氧树脂和环氧浸渍纸不同固化度下的活化能Eα,如表2所示。
环氧树脂与酸酐固化剂(甲基六氢邻苯二酸酐)在叔胺(二甲基苄胺)的催化作用下发生固化反应。叔胺先和酸酐反应使其开环并形成一个离子对,羧基阴离子打开环氧基生成酯键和一个新的烃氧基阴离子;生成的烃基阴离子可与酸酐反应形成酯键和一个新离子对,使反应继续进行[21]图4为叔胺对环氧树脂固化反应的作用机理。
表2可知,环氧浸渍纸体系固化反应的活化能低于环氧树脂固化反应的活化能,这因为皱纹纸的主要成分为纤维素。
图5为纤维素的分子式,可以看出,在纤维素的结构中含有环状结构,每个环中包含3个羟基[22-24]图6为皱纹纸的红外光谱图[25],可以看出,皱纹纸中存在羟基。
纤维素中的羟基可以使酸酐开环,羟基和酸酐起酯化反应生成单酯和一个羟基。生成的羟基与环氧基发生酯化反应生成二酯和一个仲羟基。生成的仲羟基能进一步使酸酐开环,使反应继续进行,其作用机理如图7所示。
环氧树脂的固化反应活性与叔胺的浓度和羟基的浓度相关[21]。因此,在环氧浸渍纸体系中,环氧树脂在叔胺与羟基的共同作用下与酸酐发生固化反应,使得固化反应的活性增高,反应活化能降低。
为定量地描述环氧树脂体系固化反应过程中固化速率与固化时间及固化温度之间的关系,需确定固化动力学模型f(α)。环氧树脂固化动力学常用模型有n级模型和自催化模型SB(m,n),为了确定固化动力学参数和反应机理函数f(α),J MALEK[26]定义了3个特殊函数,如式(6)~(8)所示。

表3为环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸体系固化过程中y(α)与z(α)关于固化度α的极值表,其中dα/dt的极值为αp。由表3可知,在不同的升温速率下均满足αM<αp<αp,且αp≠0.632。根据MALEK法函数的定义,该环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸的固化反应体系均符合自催化反应模型,因此固化反应的速率可用自催化SB(m,n)模型描述[27],其固化反应动力学方程可以表示为式(9)

式(9)中:mn为反应级数,其中m为前固化级数,n为后固化级数。令p=m/n=αM(1-αM),把p代入式(9),对式(9)两边取对数,整理后得式(10)

以ln((dα/dt)exp(Ea/RT))对ln(αp(1-α))作图并对曲线进行线性拟合,结果如图9所示。
图9可知,拟合结果线性良好,说明环氧树脂和环氧浸渍纸体系的固化过程都满足自催化动力学模型。从拟合的斜率和截距求得n和lnA,再根据p=m/n算出m的值,即可得到自催化固化动力学SB(m,n)模型的参数。
表4为环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸在不同升温速率下mn和lnA的值。
表4可以看出,不同升温速率下所对应的值比较接近,说明在非等温固化过程中,MALEK法能够保证速率方程的唯一性。
把参数代入SB(m,n)模型中,可以获得环氧树脂和环氧浸渍纸的固化动力学方程分别如式(11)式(12)所示。

从式(11)~(12)可以看出,引入皱纹纸后,前固化级数降低,后固化级数升高,频率因子降低。因此环氧浸渍纸固化过程中反应速率明显低于环氧树脂固化的反应速率。
(1)环氧树脂与环氧浸渍纸的固化过程均符合自催化动力学模型。
(2)皱纹纸的引入降低了环氧树脂固化反应的活化能,但由于皱纹纸对环氧的吸附作用阻碍了环氧分子的链段运动,降低了固化反应的反应速率。
(3)相同温度条件下,环氧浸渍纸的固化速率低于环氧树脂的固化速率,环氧浸渍纸固化需要更长的时间。
