An aramid 1313 fibrid was prepared by precipitation method, and its morphology structure and properties were characterized by fiber length test, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-Ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electrical microscopy (SEM). The dewaterability of aramid 1313 fibrids and chopped fibers in the papermaking process was evaluated by dewatering time, and the mechanical properties and electrical insulation properties of the paper were studied. The results show that with the increase of molecular weight of aramid 1313 fibrid, the average length of fibrids increases, and the tensile strength, elongation at break, tearability, and insulating properties of the paper increase. The fibrid is non-crystalline structure. With the increase of molecular weight, it becomes to film structure, and the thermostability increases. However, the thermostability of chopped meta-aramid fiber is still higher than that of aramid 1313 fibrids.

通过沉析法制备芳纶1313沉析纤维,采用纤维长度测试、TGA、XRD和SEM等测试方法对沉析纤维的形貌结构和性能进行表征,用脱水时间表征芳纶1313沉析纤维与短切纤维在抄纸过程中的脱水性能,并对纸张的力学性能及电绝缘性能进行研究。结果表明:随着芳纶1313沉析纤维分子量的增加,其纤维平均长度增大,纸张的抗张强度、断裂伸长率及撕裂度都增强,电绝缘性能提升。沉析纤维为非结晶结构,随着分子量增加,能形成膜状结构,其热稳定性增加,但比短切纤维的热稳定性稍差。

通过沉析法制备芳纶1313沉析纤维,采用纤维长度测试、TGA、XRD和SEM等测试方法对沉析纤维的形貌结构和性能进行表征,用脱水时间表征芳纶1313沉析纤维与短切纤维在抄纸过程中的脱水性能,并对纸张的力学性能及电绝缘性能进行研究。结果表明:随着芳纶1313沉析纤维分子量的增加,其纤维平均长度增大,纸张的抗张强度、断裂伸长率及撕裂度都增强,电绝缘性能提升。沉析纤维为非结晶结构,随着分子量增加,能形成膜状结构,其热稳定性增加,但比短切纤维的热稳定性稍差。

An aramid 1313 fibrid was prepared by precipitation method, and its morphology structure and properties were characterized by fiber length test, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-Ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electrical microscopy (SEM). The dewaterability of aramid 1313 fibrids and chopped fibers in the papermaking process was evaluated by dewatering time, and the mechanical properties and electrical insulation properties of the paper were studied. The results show that with the increase of molecular weight of aramid 1313 fibrid, the average length of fibrids increases, and the tensile strength, elongation at break, tearability, and insulating properties of the paper increase. The fibrid is non-crystalline structure. With the increase of molecular weight, it becomes to film structure, and the thermostability increases. However, the thermostability of chopped meta-aramid fiber is still higher than that of aramid 1313 fibrids.

间位芳纶纸,又称芳纶1313纸,最早由美国杜邦公司开发,具有优异的力学性能,良好的热稳定性、尺寸稳定性、防火性和耐腐蚀性,是一种具有高附加值的特种绝缘纸和轻质结构材料,已被广泛应用于航天航空、船舶、高速动车、石油化工、雷达天线、防火和休闲体育等领域[1-6]。纯间位芳纶纸由芳纶1313短切纤维和沉析纤维以一定配比混合,通过湿法抄纸方法制得。其中芳纶1313沉析纤维通过自身的粘结及对短切纤维的粘结而使纸张整体有非常好的强度和性能,并提高介电性能[3],所以沉析纤维的形貌结构和比例等因素对间位芳纶纸的性能有重要影响。
近年来,间位芳纶纸的应用日益广泛,对芳纶1313沉析纤维的研究越来越多。张美云等[7]通过打浆度和比表面积两个指标表征了沉析纤维的性能;黄一磊等[8]通过扫描电镜对沉析纤维的微结构进行了表征。众多研究中,均没有讨论沉析纤维本身分子量对其形貌结构的影响。本研究通过沉析法制备出芳纶1313沉析纤维,采用纤维长度测试、TGA、XRD和SEM等测试方法对沉析纤维的形貌结构和性能进行表征,用脱水时间表征芳纶1313沉析纤维与短切纤维在抄纸过程中的脱水性能,并对纸张的力学性能及电绝缘性能进行研究。
N,N-二甲基乙酰胺(DMAc)、无水CaCl2,分析纯,国药集团化学试剂有限公司;间位芳纶短切纤维,长度为6 mm,直径约为10 μm,某生产厂家提供;芳纶1313沉析纤维通过沉析法自制,芳纶1313树脂和凝固液自制。
沉析纤维制备:采用连续沉析机,以DMAc和水的混合液作为凝固液,将一定浓度的芳纶1313树脂和凝固液以特定配比同时泵送到沉析机中,芳纶1313聚合物在沉析机转子的高速剪切作用下形成沉析纤维,随后经过清水漂洗,抽滤3~5次得到沉析纤维样品。不同比浓对数黏度的树脂通过调整聚合时间制备得到。
纸张制备:采用凯赛法抄片器进行抄纸试验,纸张定量为60 g/m2,芳纶1313沉析纤维和短切纤维采用标准疏解机分别疏解5 000 r。抄纸试验过程中记录脱水时间。
比浓对数黏度可以用来间接表征聚合物的重均分子量,比浓对数黏度越大,聚合物的分子量越高,采用上海平轩科学仪器有限公司的PXWSN-265B型乌氏黏度计测定芳纶1313树脂的比浓对数黏度。先将树脂在聚四氟乙烯板上涂膜后洗净烘干,然后撕下薄膜,将其溶解在质量分数为98%的浓硫酸中,浓度c为0.5 g/100 mL。在(30±0.1)℃测量溶液流经乌氏黏度计两刻度线所用的时间t1,空白溶剂流经黏度计两刻度线的时间t2,则树脂的比浓对数黏度(单位为dL/g)由式(1)计算得到[9]

采用唯美德公司的Kajaani FS300型纤维分析仪测定纤维长度,用0.1 g绝干芳纶1313沉析纤维疏解稀释至浓度为0.001%后进行测试,测试温度为25℃。
采用德国公司STA409PC型热重分析测试仪分别测试沉析纤维及短切纤维的耐热曲线,空气气氛,环境温度为25℃,相对湿度为60%,测试温度为室温~650℃,升温速率为10℃/min。
X射线衍射(XRD)可以用于结晶结构的分析。采用PAN alytical公司X-Pert pro型X射线衍射仪分析沉析纤维及短切纤维的结晶情况。试验条件:Cu-Kα射线,波长为1.541 8 Å,管电压为40 kV,测试精度为Δ2θ≤±0.033°,测试范围为5°~40°,扫描速度为2°/min。
采用蔡司公司生产的ZEISS EVO型扫描电镜对沉析纤维和其与短切纤维配抄后手抄纸的表面结构进行观察,加速电压为20 kV,真空度为1~270 Pa,分辨率为3 nm。
手抄纸充分干燥后,按照GB/T 12914—2008测试纸张的力学性能。采用瑞典L&W公司的062型抗张强度测定仪和009型撕裂度仪测试纸张的抗张强度、断裂伸长率和撕裂度。
手抄纸充分干燥后,按照GB/T 3333—1999测试纸张的电气绝缘性能。采用桂林电器科学研究院有限公司IBV-2/10型击穿电压测试仪测试纸张的击穿电压。采用连续均匀升压方式,电压由零升至击穿电压,时间为10~20 s。电极压力为电极自重,并使纸面压平整。
通常采用纤维的数均长度、重均长度及双重均长度3个指标综合表征造纸用纤维的长度特性10。固定沉析纤维制备工艺,包括原液稀释浓度、剪切速率、凝固液组分等因素,采用不同比浓对数黏度的树脂制备芳纶1313沉析纤维,对制备出的沉析纤维进行长度测试,结果如表1所示。
表1可以得知,随着芳纶1313树脂分子量的提高,制备出的沉析纤维长度增加。浆液性质是影响沉析纤维形貌结构的重要因素,具体表现为两方面:①浆液的表观黏度;②浆液中的聚合物分子量。浆液黏度和聚合物分子量控制着浆液在凝固液中的分散细化过程。随着聚合物分子量增加,芳纶1313树脂分子链之间的作用力增强,同样浓度的聚合物溶液,其表观黏度更大,这个双重作用使聚合物在凝固液中扩散时遇到的阻力增大11,故形成沉析纤维时,其长度更长。而要得到不同长度的沉析纤维,需要综合调节凝固液的组分、配比、剪切速度、温度和原液浓度等。
图1为芳纶1313沉析纤维与短切纤维的TGA测试曲线。从图1可以得知,比浓对数黏度较大的沉析纤维其耐热性能相对较好,因为随着分子量的增加,芳纶1313树脂分子链间的作用力增大,故其耐热性能较好,而短切纤维的耐热性能要优于沉析纤维。图2是芳纶沉析纤维和芳纶短切纤维的XRD曲线,可以看出,在短切纤维的XRD曲线中可以观察到在2θ为17°、23°和27°处均有结晶峰出现,而在沉析纤维的XRD曲线相同位置处未观察到明显的峰,这表明在短切纤维中有结晶结构,分子链的这种结晶结构存在氢键作用,而沉析纤维为无定形结构,其内部分子链间作用力相对较弱,故其耐热性比短切纤维差。但是,沉析纤维的非结晶结构使其更柔韧,且更易分散在水中3,有利于与短切纤维的粘结,从而提升纸张的力学性能。
纸浆的脱水时间是影响抄纸过程及成纸性能的重要因素,它关系到纸浆在造纸机网部等处的脱水能力[12-13]。纸浆的脱水性能主要受打浆方式、纸张定量、沉析纤维与短切纤维比例和沉析纤维的形貌结构等因素的影响,而最能直观表征脱水性能的参数为脱水时间[14]表2为芳纶1313沉析纤维与短切纤维配抄纸的脱水时间,其纸张定量为60 g/m2,沉析纤维与短切纤维的配比为4∶6。由表2可以得知,随着比浓对数黏度的增大,抄纸过程中的平均脱水时间增加,其中样品④的脱水时间与国外样品基本一致。本试验中固定打浆方式,通过分析可以判断出影响脱水性能的主要因素为沉析纤维的形貌结构。由以上分析可以得知,具有较大比浓对数黏度的树脂制备出的沉析纤维较长,其“膜状”结构面积也相对较大,这样使纸浆料滤层更为紧密,覆盖的空隙变多,脱水空隙变小,而使脱水时间增长。值得注意的是,脱水时间太长,容易使已疏解分散的纤维重新聚集,从而影响成纸的均匀性及物理性能[8]
图3(a)(b)(c)为芳纶1313沉析纤维的扫描电镜照片,放大倍数为200倍。从图中可以观察到,与图3(a)(b)相比,图3(c)具有一定厚度的“膜状”结构,可由纤维的析出过程分析该“膜状”结构的形成原因:聚合物溶液在带有高速剪切作用的凝固液中被分散成液滴,液滴同时被剪切拉长变形,当足够多的凝固液与变形的液滴接触时聚合物便开始析出,作用在析出物的剪切力由凝固液的高剪切湍流提供,从而使聚合物变成“膜状”的短纤维。芳纶1313沉析纤维在间位芳纶纸中主要提供粘结作用,这种“膜状”结构可以提高沉析纤维的比表面积8,从而提升其粘结作用。而比浓对数黏度较低的样品,由于分子链间作用力相对较弱,表观黏度较低,在湍流的高速剪切过程中容易被破坏而难以生成“膜状”结构。图3(d)为芳纶1313沉析纤维与短切纤维配抄后纸张表面的扫描电镜照片,放大倍数为500倍,可以观察到,“膜状”结构的沉析纤维包覆在短切纤维的表面,沉析纤维一般可包覆多根短切纤维,这种包覆结构可以最大程度地发挥沉析纤维的粘结作用,从而提高纸张的性能。
图4为芳纶1313沉析纤维与短切纤维的配抄纸力学性能测试结果。从图4可以看出,随着树脂比浓对数黏度的增大,纸张的抗张强度、断裂伸长率以及撕裂度都不断增大。这是因为在纸张中沉析纤维和短切纤维的含量配比一定,且制备工艺相同的情况下,沉析纤维的粘接作用对纸张的物理性能具有重要影响,沉析纤维粘接作用强,成纸的密度高,物理性能优异。另外,比浓对数黏度大的树脂,其分子链间作用力强,制备出的沉析纤维强度较高,也有利于成纸性能的提升。
电绝缘性能测试采用点击穿方式进行,随机测试纸张不同部分,每个样品测试20个点后取平均值,测试结果如表3所示。从表3可以看出,随着沉析纤维树脂比浓对数黏度的增加,纸张的平均击穿电压逐渐增大,这是因为随着沉析纤维分子量的增加,其粘结作用增强,纸张密度增加,纸张变得更加致密,从而有利于提升纸张电气绝缘性能。当比浓对数黏度为1.5 dL/g时,制备出的沉析纤维与短切纤维配抄纸,其纸张密度和电气强度与国外样品基本相当。
(1)固定芳纶1313原液稀释浓度、剪切速率、凝固液组分等因素,改变芳纶1313沉析纤维分子量进行试验,随着分子量增加,沉析纤维平均长度变长。
(2)相对分子质量高的芳纶1313沉析纤维能形成“膜状”结构,且耐热性更好,但相比芳纶1313短切纤维,沉析纤维为非结晶结构,其热稳定性稍差。
(3)随着沉析纤维比浓对数黏度的增大,沉析纤维与短切纤维配抄纸在抄纸过程中的平均脱水时间增加。
(4)随着芳纶1313沉析纤维分子量的增大,纸张的抗张强度、断裂伸长率以及撕裂度都不断增大,纸张的电气绝缘性提升。
