The community structure of scleractinian corals in the southwest seawaters the of the Weizhou Island was analyzed with the data collected in a survey conducted with the method of line intercept transect from May 14 to 22, 2019. The results showed that 38 species of scleractinian corals in 9 families were found, dominated by mass corals such as porites sp., favites abdita, goniopora stutchburyi etc. The coverage of the living scleractinian corals ranged from 5.20% to 31.20%, the average coverage were 16.66%, higher at the sites far from or close to the shore but with deeper water. The living scleractinian coral had low recruitment rate, few diseases and low mortality rate. Species diversity, dominance and evenness of the scleractinian coral communities were positively correlated one another (p<0.05). The coverage and biodiversity of the living scleractinian corals were higher at the sites where anthropogenic disturbance was less, i.e. closer to the cliff, deeper water, fewer boating and diving etc. The living scleractinian corals closer to sandy beach influenced severely by suspended sediment on eroded coast and diving had the lowest coverage, the highest dominance of the dominant species and relatively lower diversity. Human activities, southwest monsoon, storm surge, suspended sediment on eroded coast and extreme weather are the main influential factors on the coral reef ecosystem in the southwest seawaters of the Weizhou Island.

采用2019年5月14−22日开展的断面法调查数据,分析了涠洲岛西南部海域的造礁石珊瑚群落结构特征。结果表明:涠洲岛西南部海域造礁石珊瑚共有9科38种,优势种为滨珊瑚(Porites sp.)、秘密角蜂巢珊瑚(Favites abdita)、斯氏角孔珊瑚(Goniopora stutchburyi)等团块状珊瑚。活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率为5.20%~31.20%,平均值为16.66%,远离海岸或靠近海岸但水较深的站位覆盖率较高。石珊瑚补充量较低、病害少、死亡率较低。造礁石珊瑚群落的物种多样性、优势度、均匀度互相呈显著正相关关系(p<0.05)。靠近岩壁的站位,水较深且船舶通行和游客潜水等影响较少,活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率和多样性程度均较高。受侵蚀海岸悬浮泥沙和潜水旅游影响较大的砂质岸段站位,活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率最低、优势种的优势度最高、多样性程度相对较低。人为活动、西南季风、风暴潮、海岸侵蚀悬沙、极端气候是影响涠洲岛西南部海域造礁石珊瑚礁生态系统的主要因素。

采用2019年5月14−22日开展的断面法调查数据,分析了涠洲岛西南部海域的造礁石珊瑚群落结构特征。结果表明:涠洲岛西南部海域造礁石珊瑚共有9科38种,优势种为滨珊瑚(Porites sp.)、秘密角蜂巢珊瑚(Favites abdita)、斯氏角孔珊瑚(Goniopora stutchburyi)等团块状珊瑚。活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率为5.20%~31.20%,平均值为16.66%,远离海岸或靠近海岸但水较深的站位覆盖率较高。石珊瑚补充量较低、病害少、死亡率较低。造礁石珊瑚群落的物种多样性、优势度、均匀度互相呈显著正相关关系(p<0.05)。靠近岩壁的站位,水较深且船舶通行和游客潜水等影响较少,活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率和多样性程度均较高。受侵蚀海岸悬浮泥沙和潜水旅游影响较大的砂质岸段站位,活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率最低、优势种的优势度最高、多样性程度相对较低。人为活动、西南季风、风暴潮、海岸侵蚀悬沙、极端气候是影响涠洲岛西南部海域造礁石珊瑚礁生态系统的主要因素。

The community structure of scleractinian corals in the southwest seawaters the of the Weizhou Island was analyzed with the data collected in a survey conducted with the method of line intercept transect from May 14 to 22, 2019. The results showed that 38 species of scleractinian corals in 9 families were found, dominated by mass corals such as porites sp., favites abdita, goniopora stutchburyi etc. The coverage of the living scleractinian corals ranged from 5.20% to 31.20%, the average coverage were 16.66%, higher at the sites far from or close to the shore but with deeper water. The living scleractinian coral had low recruitment rate, few diseases and low mortality rate. Species diversity, dominance and evenness of the scleractinian coral communities were positively correlated one another (p<0.05). The coverage and biodiversity of the living scleractinian corals were higher at the sites where anthropogenic disturbance was less, i.e. closer to the cliff, deeper water, fewer boating and diving etc. The living scleractinian corals closer to sandy beach influenced severely by suspended sediment on eroded coast and diving had the lowest coverage, the highest dominance of the dominant species and relatively lower diversity. Human activities, southwest monsoon, storm surge, suspended sediment on eroded coast and extreme weather are the main influential factors on the coral reef ecosystem in the southwest seawaters of the Weizhou Island.

涠洲岛是我国最大、最年轻的由火山喷发堆积而形成的岛屿[12],具有丰富的沿岸珊瑚岸礁景观。近年来,对涠洲岛珊瑚礁的生物群落[1-11]、地质地貌[12-19]、发育环境[17, 19-31]、生物多样性[1011, 32]、保护管理[4, 15, 33]等已有不少的研究,而对涠洲岛造礁石珊瑚群落形态方面的变化及成因研究较少。西南部海域造礁石珊瑚群落由于地理位置特殊,受人类活动、侵蚀悬沙、风暴潮等灾害影响较大,调查监测群落变化十分必要。该区域珊瑚礁从1984年[13, 19]至今已经被开展了近30多年的研究,早期对石珊瑚种类组成及群落结构等方面的观测是通过水下点状目测记录方式,而2005年[4]、2008年[56, 910, 30, 32]和2015年[11]的3次调查则是采用样线法开展的研究。2005年在滑石咀进行了样线法调查,2008年、2015年开展的调查站位由岸向海布置,较为详尽,集中在蕉坑西南部和滴水村西面海域。本研究于2019年5月14−22日在涠洲岛西南部海域选择有珊瑚生长的13个站位进行了大范围的样线定量调查(图1)。
通过本次大范围的样线调查,对涠洲岛西南部海域石珊瑚的覆盖率、补充量、死亡率、形态组成、物种多样性及其群落结构、分布和健康状况等有了较全面的了解,并通过比较1984−2019年以来珊瑚礁调查数据,获得了该海域30多年的造礁石珊瑚种类分布的变化情况,旨在为深入研究涠洲岛西南部珊瑚礁生态系统受到人类活动影响、侵蚀悬沙影响、珊瑚礁资源的旅游开发与可持续利用提供基础数据及理论依据。
调查区域为覆盖了涠洲岛西南部的高岭至滑石咀沿岸海域,共设置13个站位,选择造礁石珊瑚生长较多的站点进行群落结构和分布特征调查(图1)。
本次调查采用国家海洋行业标准《HY/T 082−2005珊瑚礁生态监测技术规程》的截线样条调查法,每个站点沿海岸平行方向布置100 m(或50 m)×1 m条形带状断面,利用水下数码摄像机、照相机进行样线拍摄记录,室内根据影像判读资料和活造礁石珊瑚属种鉴定资料进行统计分析,研究的主要内容包括:活造礁石珊瑚种类及其覆盖率、死亡率、病害状况、补充量、物种多样性指数、优势种和优势度等。造礁石珊瑚种类的鉴定方法按照邹仁林[34]的《中国动物志: 腔肠动物门 珊瑚虫纲 石珊瑚目 造礁石珊瑚》和Veron[35] Corals of the World 的分类鉴定方法,主要采用珊瑚高清相片结合样线图像、现场调查观察记录和采集标本进行鉴定。
通过判读录像观察记录断面线下活造礁石珊瑚的长度,计算活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率,并进行种类鉴定。
死亡时间判别:30 d以内,珊瑚骨骼白色,完整清晰;0.5 a左右,珊瑚骨骼被小型藻类或沉积物覆盖;1~2 a,珊瑚骨骼结构轻微腐蚀,但仍能辨认出珊瑚属阶元的分类单位;2 a以上,珊瑚骨骼结构很难分辨,或其上附着生物(藻类、无脊椎动物等)已经很难去除。
病害状况判别主要通过记录样线下每个珊瑚颜色异常状况:白化病、黑边病、白带病、侵蚀病、黄斑病、红带病等。
幼体补充量调查:在样线两侧2 m范围内随机放置至少20个标有刻度的调查样方,并拍摄样方的高清照片,样方规格为25 cm×25 cm,在室内电脑上判读个体体长小于2 cm的珊瑚个体数量。
物种多样性指数${{H}}' $(Shannon-Wiener index)的计算公式为

式中,S代表物种数目;${p_i}$为属于种i的个体在全部个体中的比例。
优势度是优势种(属)生物量占调查样线中总造礁石珊瑚生物量的比例。
本次调查到西南部造礁石珊瑚共9科38种(表1),其中种类组成最多的为23#-2站,有16种,较少种类的站位为7#-2、9#-2、17#-2、21#-2,分别为5种、5种、9种、8种。笔者在2008年对西南部进行调查,共调查到8科31种造礁石珊瑚[3, 5],王文欢[11]2015年调查获得西南部石珊瑚种类为32种,比较而言,本次造礁石珊瑚的种类明显较多,种类增多的原因可能是本次研究站位布置范围较大,覆盖了珊瑚礁分布较多的海域,基本上代表了西南部造礁石珊瑚种类分布状况,因而获得的造礁石珊瑚种类也较多。
本次调查的优势种为滨珊瑚(Porites sp.)、秘密角蜂巢珊瑚(Favites abdita)、斯氏角孔珊瑚(Goniopora stutchburyi)等团块状珊瑚(表2)。在以往调查中,2008年西南部海域以滨珊瑚属(Porites)、牡丹珊瑚属(Pavona)、角蜂巢珊瑚属(Favites)、扁脑珊瑚属(Platygyra)为优势类群[3, 5],2015年以橙黄滨珊瑚(Porites lutea)、海孔角蜂巢珊瑚(Favites halicora)、交替扁脑珊瑚(Platygyra crosslandi)为优势类群[11]。可见,除了2008年优势种组成有叶片状牡丹珊瑚属,2015年、本次调查均以团块状石珊瑚组成了优势类群。叶片状与分枝状的造礁石珊瑚种类均抗浪性能差,生态适应范围比皮壳状与团块状造礁石珊瑚种类的狭窄,更容易受到环境的影响[1, 36],也表明了2008年至今涠洲岛西南部海域造礁石珊瑚群落受到较严重破坏,导致群落退化演替。
通过对本次调查站位造礁石珊瑚形态类群分析,造礁石珊瑚呈现的群体形态群落共有5种,分别为团块状、板状、皮壳状、叶片状、分枝状(表1)。
调查站位中团块状有30种,占总出现类群数的78.95%;板状2种,占总出现类群数的5.26%;皮壳状3种,占总出现类群数的7.89%;叶片状2种,占总出现类群数的5.26%;分枝状1种,占总出现类群数的2.63%。所有出现类群数中,团块状占绝对优势,平均出现比率为93.04%,其次是板状、皮壳状、叶片状,平均出现比率依次为2.78%、2.39%、1.15%,分枝状占比最少,为0.63%(表3图2)。造礁石珊瑚的群体形态在一定意义上间接地反映出所处的环境特征及其属种对应的生态响应。团块状石珊瑚具有比分枝状石珊瑚、叶片状石珊瑚更好的抗浪性能,可以承受较大的海流、波浪等外力作用,能连续生长并完整地保存下来[1]。2008年优势类群组成比例为1/4的叶片状石珊瑚和3/4的团块状石珊瑚,2015年、本次调查均以团块状石珊瑚组成优势类群。活造礁石珊瑚的空间异质性受理化环境变化或人为的干扰影响较大,造礁石珊瑚群体形态可在一定程度上反映了环境特征和物种的生态适应性。生长迅速、生态适应范围相对狭窄、抗浪能力弱的叶片状、分枝状的造礁石珊瑚群更易遭受严重破坏,而生长缓慢、生态适应范围广、抗浪能力高的皮壳状、团块状造礁珊瑚群受到的破坏较小[1, 36]
本次调查的西南部海域珊瑚礁群落以团块状的造礁石珊瑚为优势类群,间接地反映出西南部珊瑚礁受到人为活动(旅游潜水、捕鱼、船舶通行等)、西南季风[37]、风暴潮[37]、海岸侵蚀悬沙[38]等自然因素常年的持续影响较大,导致活造礁石珊瑚的群体形态组成出现了以生态适应较强、生长相对缓慢、抗浪能力强为主的群落结构[39-40]
据研究资料[3, 10]显示,涠洲岛西南部海域造礁石珊瑚群落近年来受到较严重的破坏,导致群落退化。据2008年的研究资料可知[10],涠洲岛经历了1998年全球性极端高温事件、2008年区域性极端低温事件,加上多年来的人为盗采、游客踩踏、拖网、台风暴潮加剧等耦合影响,2008年成为涠洲岛珊瑚礁发育演化的转折点,一直占据优势的鹿角珊瑚种群出现退化,顶级优势类群降级更替为以团块状为主的初级群落。本次调查海域以团块状的造礁石珊瑚为优势种的群落在涠洲岛属于退化的群落。
从珊瑚礁形态群落比例分析,7#-2站位形态组合单一,团块状占100%,而从7#-2站位分开的南北两侧站位均有不同的形态组合。7#-2站位于下石螺的西南侧,该岸段近年来潜水旅游开发时间较早,历时较长,且下石螺至竹蔗寮段西部岸段遭受短期热带风暴影响侵蚀较为严重,西南部岸段年均下蚀可达0.18 m[18],长期人为的影响加上海岸侵蚀悬沙和短期热带风暴影响[41]可能是导致此站位海域珊瑚礁形态组合比较单一的主要原因。因此,该岸段可作为探讨珊瑚礁遭受海岸侵蚀悬沙、热带风暴、人为活动影响研究的理想区域。
本次调查的活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率平均值为16.66%,范围为5.20%~31.20%。其中9#-2、17#-2、21#-2、7#-2的活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率较低,分别为5.20%、8.00%、9.39%、10.80%;15#-2、5#-2、11#-2、23#-2覆盖率略高,分别为13.60%、16.40%、16.60%、18.88%;覆盖率20%及以上的站位有19#-2、3#-2、1#-2、13#-2、4#-2,分别为20.00%、21.00%、20.91%、24.60%、31.20%(图3)。珊瑚覆盖率20%及以上的站位中,1#-2、3#-2、4#-2离岸较近,13#-2、19#-2则离岸较远;但1#-2、3#-2、4#-2站水深均大于4 m,而13#-2、19#-2站水深低于3 m。通常,近岸的礁区受到人为活动、波浪拍击等影响较大,远离岸边的礁区受影响较少。水较深的礁区比水浅的受到以上的因素影响相对较小。从图1站位的离岸位置结合水深值分析可知,调查区覆盖率较高的站位1#-2、3#-2、4#-2离岸近,但水较深,且靠近石油处理终端排污口,游客、船舶影响较少。覆盖率较高的13#-2、19#-2水较浅,但远离海岸,游客潜水观光踩踏影响也较少。
调查区域总体来说珊瑚病害状况少,石珊瑚死亡率较低,病害状况只有17#-2出现了0.20%的白化。1 a内的死亡率均低于0.50%,零星出现于4#-2、5#-2、7#-2、11#-2、17#-2、19#-2、21#-2、23#-2站位;1 a以上死亡率范围为0.20%~1.00%,仅零星出现于9#-2、11#-2、13#-2、15#-2、23#-2站位。表明西南部海域珊瑚礁近期死亡较少,1 a之上死亡率也偏低,可能与近年来的管理保护措施有效有关(表4)。
本次调查发现,造礁石珊瑚补充量平均为1.75 ind./m2,最大补充量出现在3#-2站位,最小出现于5#-2站位(图4)。可见西南部海域珊瑚补充量处于较低的水平,可能是由于近年来在珊瑚礁全球性衰退损失[42]的状况下,来自本岛的珊瑚幼体补充来源较少或环境、气候影响致幼体固着不稳定。据文献资料显示[34, 43],涠洲岛的珊瑚幼体补充有可能部分来源于南海诸岛,但由于近年来南海诸岛珊瑚礁的退化严重[40],也可能间接影响了涠洲岛的珊瑚幼体补充。这也说明,调查海域受到自然因素和人类活动造成的影响,造礁石珊瑚礁的退化依然严重。因此,该海域的石珊瑚仅依靠自然的潜力恢复较为缓慢,可能还需要较长时间。
在13个站位共拍摄样方255个,其中,在43个样方中发现有造礁石珊瑚幼体补充,占全部样方数的16.86%,共发现珊瑚幼体总数为56个。珊瑚幼体的个体较小,形态特征较难辨认,本次调查只统计到属,共发现8个珊瑚属的幼体补充。其中,角孔珊瑚属、角蜂巢珊瑚属珊瑚幼体出现较多。发现了31个角孔珊瑚属珊瑚幼体,占发现的全部珊瑚补充量的55.36%,平均分布密度为1.95 ind./m2。角蜂巢珊瑚属有14个珊瑚幼体补充,占发现的全部珊瑚补充量的25%,其个体的分布密度为0.88 ind./m2。此外,滨珊瑚属、扁脑珊瑚属、陀螺珊瑚属(Turbinaria)、牡丹珊瑚属(Pavona)、刺孔珊瑚属(Echinopora)、蜂巢珊瑚属的补充量均较低(表5)。
造礁石珊瑚补充量主要为角孔珊瑚和角蜂巢珊瑚两个属,表明这两个属的珊瑚幼体相对充足且附着成功率较高,这与它们在本区域分布相对较广泛有关。目前,它们是该区域珊瑚群落的主要优势属种,优势度可能还将延续很长一段时间。其他属种的珊瑚幼体数量较低,站位大部分属种的珊瑚幼体未见发现。缺乏多属种珊瑚幼体的补充,珊瑚属种结构单一,珊瑚种群的多样性偏低,珊瑚群落可能会继续逐渐退化于初级群落状况。
对调查站位进行造礁石珊瑚物种多样性分析。研究发现,西南部海域造礁石珊瑚群落的物种多样性、优势度、均匀度互相呈显著正相关关系(p<0.05)。由图5表6的多样性指数变化规律,结合表2的优势种、优势度分析,西南部海域站位的活造礁石珊瑚物种多样性空间分布格局呈现明显的4个量值梯度:(1)站位4#-2、23#-2多样性程度最高的第一梯度;(2)1#-2、3#-2、15#-2、17#-2、19#-2、21#-2多样性程度较好的第二梯度;(3)5#-2、7#-2、11#-2、13#-2多样性程度较好的第三梯度;(4)9#-2多样性程度较差的第四梯度。第一梯度站位4#-2、23#-2的活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率、多样性程度均较高,可能是因为这些站位所在的海域比较靠近岩壁,船舶通行、游客潜水等影响较少,生态环境优良,利于多种类造礁石珊瑚的生存与繁殖。9#-2站位活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率最低、优势种的优势度最高、多样性程度较差,可能与下石螺旅游潜水力度较大、历时较长的经营活动有关,也与下石螺−竹蔗寮砂质岸段属于侵蚀岸段有关[44],此岸段常年遭受波浪和潮汐的强烈侵蚀和风暴潮的影响[45],过度采砂等因素造成海域悬浮物增多、潜水踩踏、风暴潮的拍击造成7#-2站位、9#-2站位所在海域珊瑚礁遭受破坏较为严重。
以本次调查结合历史资料,从活造礁石珊瑚平均覆盖率、形态组成、补充量、死亡状况等数据分析西南部海域活造礁石珊瑚群落的演变趋势。
从活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率来看,2008年[35]西南部海域石珊瑚平均覆盖率为8.45%,2015年[11]平均覆盖率为7.39%,本次调查为16.66%。整体上呈现增长趋势,可能与近年来的管理保护措施有效有关。但总体来看,涠洲岛西南部海域活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率较低,发展趋势不容乐观。
活造礁石珊瑚群落仍以团块状珊瑚为优势种(图2表3),与2008年[3, 5]、2015年[11]的情况类似,本次调查的团块状珊瑚的优势度更大。表明了10多年来西南部海域活造礁石珊瑚群落的退化状况未有改变,仍处在群落演替的低级阶段。
造礁石珊瑚平均补充量为1.75 ind./m2,活造礁石珊瑚死亡率较低,近期、1 a以上死亡的仅出现在部分站位,1 a内、1 a以上的平均死亡率分别为0.20%、0.25%。2008年西南部海域平均造礁石珊瑚补充量为3.62 ind./m2[3],死亡2 a以上的石珊瑚较多,平均死亡率为18.51%。显然,2008年受到极端低温影响,死亡率偏高,近10多年来西南部海域造礁石珊瑚未发生珊瑚礁大规模的异常死亡现象。
此次调查石珊瑚病害现象极少,仅有17#-2站位出现0.20%的白化,2008年西南部海域造礁石珊瑚白化率为0.53%[3],主要是因为受到2008年1−2月的极端低温事件影响。近期病害损害现象较少,与近年来涠洲岛珊瑚礁的保护、海洋生态环境的保护、污水排放的管理等有关,也与近年来极端气候事件较少发生有关。
综上,调查区近10多年来未发现大规模的活造礁石珊瑚异常死亡现象,覆盖率有所增长,补充量偏低,近期病害损害较少。但活造礁石珊瑚群落的恢复需要大量幼体的附着补充,近年来,活造礁石珊瑚群落的退化使得幼体的补充在很长的一段时间内可能还会处于较低的水平,极大地影响了西南部海域造礁石珊瑚的恢复,石珊瑚群落仍处于缓慢退化的态势。
西南部海域造礁石珊瑚群落退化受人类活动影响较大。近10多年来,沿岸潜水、摩托艇等旅游开发较早较快,民宿数量快速增长,随着交通的发达便利,潜水游客逐年增多。民宿等工程建设的采砂、运营的排污、潜水游客的踩踏等人为活动,对珊瑚礁生态系统产生了极大的影响。涠洲岛礁区遭受自然灾害影响也较大。根据风暴潮历史资料统计,广西涠洲岛的台风风暴潮主要发生在7−8月(占60.50%),其中,7月份发生频次最多(占32.90%)。同时,每年5−7月和10−12月为涠洲岛的天文大潮期,这两个时间段恰好分别是台风影响时段和大风天数最多时段[38],这两段时间成为全年中西南部砂质海岸、珊瑚礁区影响的高危时段。近几年来,高潮位出现的频次和极值均越来越高,对砂质海岸侵蚀、珊瑚礁区影响加剧。近年来,全球极端气候事件也逐渐影响到涠洲岛的珊瑚礁生态系统。涠洲岛20世纪90年代末至2008年至少经历了两次较大的气候事件的损害,一次是1998年的厄尔尼诺现象引起的全球性极高温事件,涠洲岛沿岸海面温度月平均值大于31.10℃,造成涠洲岛部分岸段珊瑚礁白化死亡,另一次是区域性的极低温气候事件(2008年1月14日至2月12日),广西全区平均气温连续30 d低于8℃,全区平均气温为6.20℃[10]。长时间极高温或极低温都对珊瑚礁生态系统造成严重损害。人为活动加上自然因素的常年影响,使得造礁石珊瑚群落呈现缓慢的退化态势。
涠洲岛西南部海域地理位置较为特殊,造礁石珊瑚群落面临的人为活动、西南季风、风暴潮、海岸侵蚀悬沙、极端气候等灾害影响较大。通过对覆盖西南部海域的13个站位的调查,共发现了造礁石珊瑚9科38种,多于2008年、2015年的记录。优势种主要有滨珊瑚(Porites sp.)、秘密角蜂巢珊瑚(Favites abdita)、斯氏角孔珊瑚(Goniopora stutchburyi)等团块状石珊瑚。西南部海域造礁石珊瑚呈现的团块状、板状、皮壳状、叶片状、分枝状5种形态中,团块状占绝对优势,可见造礁石珊瑚群落仍处于群落演替的初级阶段。
造礁石珊瑚覆盖率范围为5.20%~31.20%,远离海岸或靠近海岸但水较深的位置覆盖率较高。而珊瑚幼体补充量仍处于较低的水平,主要为分布相对较广泛的角孔珊瑚和角蜂巢珊瑚两个属种。石珊瑚幼体补充来源不足,仅依靠自然的潜力恢复较为缓慢,可能还需要较长时间。未发现近期的病害损害、大规模的异常死亡现象发生。
西南部海域造礁石珊瑚群落的物种多样性、优势度、均匀度互相呈显著正相关关系(p<0.05)。靠近岩壁的站位水深且船舶通行、游客潜水等影响较少,活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率、多样性程度均较高,处于受侵蚀较强的、潜水旅游开发力度较大的砂质岸段站位,活造礁石珊瑚覆盖率最低、优势种的优势度最高、多样性程度相对较差。
涠洲岛西南部海域造礁石珊瑚群落的退化主要受人类活动影响较大。近10多年来,沿岸水上水下的旅游开发使得珊瑚礁生态系统仍处于缓慢的退化态势。此外,自然灾害影响也较大,每年的西南季风、风暴潮对沙质海岸侵蚀、珊瑚礁区影响加剧,近年来,全球极端气候事件也逐渐影响到涠洲岛的珊瑚礁生态系统。
