Underwater target detection is an important part of China’s “transparent ocean” project. However, due to the complex and ever-changing underwater environment, achieving accurate and efficient detection of underwater targets remains a significant challenge. As a fixed offshore platform across the sea, the buoy is an important part of building a comprehensive and three-dimensional detection network, which can simultaneously meet the all-weather monitoring requirements of key locations in the ocean and achieve real-time information transmission, complementing more accurate and real-time underwater target information acquisition methods. Based on the summary of existing underwater target detection methods based on buoys, this article introduces optical detection, electromagnetic detection, communication relay, and other underwater target detection and information transmission technologies. It also combs and analyzes relevant technologies in combination with the application characteristics of buoys, with a view to providing useful inspiration and reference for the research and application of underwater target detection technology based on buoys.

水下目标探测是我国“透明海洋”工程的重要组成部分。但是由于水下环境复杂多变,实现精确高效的水下目标探测依然存在很大难度。作为跨界面的海上固定平台,浮标是构建全方位立体化的综合探测网络的重要组成部分,能够同时满足海洋关键位置的全天候监控并实现实时信息传输,对更加准确实时的水下目标信息获取手段进行补充。本文在总结现有基于浮标的水下目标探测方法的基础上,对光学探测、电磁探测、通信中继等水下目标探测和信息传输技术进行了介绍,并结合浮标应用特点对相关技术进行了梳理和分析,以期对基于浮标的水下目标探测技术的研究及应用提供有益的启发和借鉴。

水下目标探测是我国“透明海洋”工程的重要组成部分。但是由于水下环境复杂多变,实现精确高效的水下目标探测依然存在很大难度。作为跨界面的海上固定平台,浮标是构建全方位立体化的综合探测网络的重要组成部分,能够同时满足海洋关键位置的全天候监控并实现实时信息传输,对更加准确实时的水下目标信息获取手段进行补充。本文在总结现有基于浮标的水下目标探测方法的基础上,对光学探测、电磁探测、通信中继等水下目标探测和信息传输技术进行了介绍,并结合浮标应用特点对相关技术进行了梳理和分析,以期对基于浮标的水下目标探测技术的研究及应用提供有益的启发和借鉴。

Underwater target detection is an important part of China’s “transparent ocean” project. However, due to the complex and ever-changing underwater environment, achieving accurate and efficient detection of underwater targets remains a significant challenge. As a fixed offshore platform across the sea, the buoy is an important part of building a comprehensive and three-dimensional detection network, which can simultaneously meet the all-weather monitoring requirements of key locations in the ocean and achieve real-time information transmission, complementing more accurate and real-time underwater target information acquisition methods. Based on the summary of existing underwater target detection methods based on buoys, this article introduces optical detection, electromagnetic detection, communication relay, and other underwater target detection and information transmission technologies. It also combs and analyzes relevant technologies in combination with the application characteristics of buoys, with a view to providing useful inspiration and reference for the research and application of underwater target detection technology based on buoys.

21世纪以来,随着海洋在国家政治、经济、安全、科学以及文化方面战略地位的日益提升,以及国家安全与海洋权益的战略重要性不断凸显,海洋权益斗争日趋复杂艰巨。近年来,我国已明确将海洋强国列为国家战略,为了维护国家安全和海洋权益,吴立新院士提出了“透明海洋”工程构想[12],该工程的目标是通过构建覆盖全球海洋的高时空分辨率立体观测网络,实现海洋的状态透明。而水下目标探测技术的发展则是实现这一宏伟目标的关键环节之一。
水下目标探测具有广阔的应用范围,包括渔业资源监测[35]、深海矿产开发[67]、海底管道维护[89]、水下考古勘探[1011],甚至潜艇等水下军事目标的探测跟踪[12],水下目标探测技术成为了多个领域着重关心的研究课题。当前,水下目标探测已经向着包括浮标[13]、潜标[1415]、岸基[16]、海底[17]、船基[1819]、空基[2021]等多平台化发展,从多个观测角度构建立体的水下目标观测网,力求提升探测精度和效率。
然而,水下环境的复杂性与不确定性给目标探测带来了极大的挑战。水体的物理特性、化学组成以及生物活动都会对探测信号产生干扰,加之水下目标的种类及隐蔽性能不断提升,对于水下目标探测技术的需求也在不断提高。发展高效、准确的水下目标探测技术是维护国家海洋权益、确保海洋安全不可或缺的支撑。由于载体特性不同,水下目标探测手段也存在较大差异,本文重点讨论基于浮标平台的目标探测技术。
浮标是我国海上观测的重要载体,相较于调查船、水下自主航行器、无人船等自主移动平台,浮标不仅可以长时间锚碇在特定位置,也可以随着洋流进行漂流,可以对于海洋环境资料实现全天候全时段的收集。同时,由于在水下与大气中的优势信息载体不同,因此跨界面通信也是目前技术上的一大难点。水下的探测平台多通过阶段性上浮、采用中继设备设施或者有线传输的方式进行信号传输,而浮标跨海气界面,可以在对应的介质中采用特定的优势信息载体,可同时满足目标探测和信号传输的需求。因此,基于浮标的水下目标探测能够对该领域的应用起到重要的补充作用,尤其对海洋重点位置的监测意义重大。随着相关领域需求的不断提高,王军成院士提出了智能浮标的概念[2223],概括来说,智能浮标是一种可以实现智能感测、智能感知、自主驱动、主动应对、异构组网等功能的海洋浮标。
当前,浮标作为一种重要的水上平台,在环境监测、海洋科学研究、航海安全等多个领域发挥着重要的作用。例如,海洋环境监测浮标配备了多种高精度传感器,能够实时监测海水温度、盐度、溶解氧、叶绿素、放射性物质、海浪、海流、风速、风向等关键海洋环境参数。这些数据对于了解海洋环境状况、评估海洋污染程度、预测海洋灾害等具有重要意义。此外,浮标还可以持续监测保护区的水质状况和生物多样性,为管理者提供关于保护区生态环境状况的重要信息。通过浮标收集的数据,可以评估保护效果,并制定相应的保护措施。浮标平台在海洋资源开发与保护中也发挥着重要作用。它们可以监测渔业资源的环境分布和数量变化,帮助管理者制定合理的捕捞计划,避免过度捕捞和资源枯竭。同时,浮标还可以监测海洋油气勘探过程中的环境变化,确保勘探活动的安全进行。综上,作为海洋数据采集平台,浮标平台已在多个领域发挥了重要作用,
目前,已有采用浮标进行水下目标探测的相关研究和应用,但是主要集中在声学领域,结合其他技术手段的水下目标探测浮标仍然较为缺乏。为此,本文将在总结该领域现有研究的基础上,介绍并探讨其他探测手段在浮标上应用的适用性。
本文首先对基于声呐的水下目标探测浮标进行了调研和概括,随后对水下目标探测的其他技术手段进行了介绍与分析,并探讨这些技术在应用于浮标上的优缺点。通过对现有技术方法的系统梳理,本文期望能为相关领域的研究者与实践者提供有益的参考,同时为我国海洋战略的实施提供支撑。
出于发展我国海洋经济及保障我国海防安全的需求,开展我国重点海域、重点位置的全时段全天候监测具有重要意义。水上目标监测常用技术手段包括雷达探测、卫星监控、红外检测、无线电追踪、自动识别系统(AIS)、光学成像等。通过结合信号处理、图像处理、人工智能等方法,现有技术已经可以实现大视场、高分辨率、高灵敏度、高准确性的目标识别和跟踪。
然而,现阶段,水下目标探测仍然具有很大的挑战性。虽然为了提高单位时间内的探测速度,出现了基于空基平台的激光雷达、磁异常、光声、太赫兹雷达等多种新兴探测技术,但是其中部分方案尚且处于实验阶段,且该类技术由于载体平台限制,通常会受到环境因素的诸多影响,难以实现全天候的观测,容易造成重点部位监测的阶段性缺失。通过在智能浮标上搭载目标探测声呐系统可以很好解决水下目标探测问题。开展智能浮标水下目标探测研究,建立智能立体监测体系必要且重要。
声波在水中的穿透性远远优于光波和无线电波。基于宽带、多频和多波束等技术,水下目标声呐探测性能大幅提高,达到了较高的定位精度[2425],是水下目标探测的主要手段之一。按照工作原理不同,声呐可以分为主动声呐[26]和被动声呐[27]两类。主动声呐主动发射特定形式声信号,利用目标回波实现探测;被动声探测没有声源,利用目标自身发出的信号及辐射噪声来实现目标探测。主动声呐探测能力更强,探测范围更广,被动声呐则具有更好的隐蔽性。因此,声呐浮标进行水下探测目标不仅仅包括各类潜航器,还包括导弹等水下高速运动声源探测[28]等。
锚系声呐浮标在航空声呐浮标基础上发展而来,由飞机或舰船布设并锚碇于海底,确保水下声学数据的准确连续采集,进而弥补固定声呐探测系统具有探测盲区的问题[29]。锚系浮标搭载声呐基阵的显著特点是孔径受水深限制。选择有利的工作深度将大幅减小背景干扰,甚至在低频段仍可得到较高的空间增益[30]。有利水深的选取是锚系浮标声学探测亟需探索的重要问题。小目标和弱目标探测是锚系浮标垂直阵探测领域的热点。针对信道起伏扰动下的小目标定位问题,刘帅京等[31]提出了一种基于稳健声线扰动特征的定位方法,通过筛选的扰动声线计算定位模糊图获取目标位置,可实现港口穿越蛙人的准确定位。随着水下安静型目标声隐身技术的快速发展,传统锚系浮标声探测手段已经无法满足需求,王佳婧等[32]设计了一种可在不同海深机动布放的深远海预置水下预警探测锚系平台,利用声磁融合技术实现水下目标多源探测,弥补了声探测能力不足的问题。除被动探测外,锚系浮标也广泛应用于有源声呐探测中。郭小玮等[33]提出一种基于单声源和垂直双水听器的目标深度估计方法,利用回波比值的相位特征进行匹配处理,消除了散射特性的影响,提高了水下目标深度估计性能。
Argo剖面漂流浮标是全球海洋观测系统的核心仪器,广泛用于监测海洋的温度、盐度等信息,逐渐扩展到水下目标探测领域[34]。声矢量水听器能同时测量声压和质点速度,为水下目标探测提供了更丰富的信息[35]。Argo浮标搭载声矢量水听器能够在漂流过程中收集多维度水声数据,从而更精确地进行声场分析和目标探测与定位。为防止Argo浮标漂移的不可控性导致目标参数获取精度低,孙芹东等[36]开展了具备姿态测量功能的二维复合同振式矢量水听器研究,实现了其在Argo浮标平台上的集成应用,通过微机电系统姿态传感器实现姿态自动校正功能,确保了浮标因海流或风力而发生旋转或倾斜时数据采集的连续性和无失真。此外,结合声矢量水听器和各向同性水听器可进一步增强水下目标声源定位的准确性[37],这种异构水听器组合有望改善Argo浮标系统的近场水下声源定位效果。
随着浮标技术的发展,声呐浮标既可以作为传感端平台,也可以作为探测数据传输的中继节点。浮标在水下目标探测应用中存在两种形式。第一种是直接将浮标作为探测单元,将探测信息传输至数据处理平台进行数据分析,此类浮标多与反潜机联合应用。受声波传播特性限制,采用单一浮标难以获取水下目标的准确位置信息。无论是主动声呐浮标[38]还是被动声呐浮标[39],均需要根据实际情况一次布放多个声呐浮标,利用浮标阵列收集多点位水下目标声学信息,再将收集到的信息传输至信息处理平台,通过计算确定水下目标的具体位置。针对以上局限,Almeida等[40]研制了新一代轻量化的智能浮标,这种便携式浮标支持水声定位系统,可短期部署。更多的研究关注如何通过算法实现更高质量探测,如何合理布放浮标进行更高效探测,如何优化网络提升探测稳定性和鲁棒性,以及对浮标探潜效能进行评价等。这些研究包括:
(1)针对声呐浮标布设问题以及节点网络节点配置数目[41]等研究。Kurano等[42]建立了1个声呐发射试验船加3个声呐接收漂流浮标的系统,通过漂流浮标收集水下目标信息,利用试验船同时接收3个漂流浮标发射的无线电信息以及来自4颗GPS卫星的浮标位置信息,进行漂流浮标位置校准以及对无人潜航器的测距定位。Ma等[43]总结了以往研究中存在的两个问题,提出了一种在水下集群目标概览情况下声呐浮标探测的快速部署方法,可为水下集群多目标探测和水下集群多平台反击问题提供有益的支持。战和等[44]建立了被动定向浮标补投模型,仿真验证了其正确性和可用性。曾海燕等[45]在建立模型的基础上累积搜索概率的计算方法,对多点随机搜索、分区和分支界定以及遗传算法对不同阵型下的声呐浮标探潜概率和时间进行了探讨,分析了不同算法在不同环境条件下的优势。王磊等[46]建立了基于蒙特卡洛法的模型,对反潜直升机使用声呐浮标进行搜潜时的间隔系数、螺旋系数、浮标数目和搜索阵型进行了研究。梁巍等[47]结合潜艇跟踪滤波模型,提出了被动定向浮标跟踪潜艇的优化布放方案。杨日杰等[48]提出了基于跟踪事件和浮标数比值最大值的补投方案,以防止潜艇针对主动声呐浮标进行的变向规避机动。唐晨等[49]针对较高速度的潜艇规避,提出了反潜巡逻机进行应召搜索声呐布放的优化模型以及计算公式。随着探潜要求的提升,针对浮标性能进行搜潜阵型优化已经不够精确,近年来提出的新优化模型融合了更多参数,也更加完善。南银波和曾广荣[50]基于HLA/RTI分布式交互仿真系统引擎,建立了多平台融合的反潜巡逻机浮标搜潜系统架构,使仿真更逼近真实环境,仿真效果更贴近实际。王牧原等[51]则针对浮标搜潜布设距离近,改航次数多的特点,融合飞机机动能力、浮标阵型、目标态势、飞行状态的相互影响,提出基于Dubins路径的浮标布置策略,在圆形和扇形阵基础上,构建螺旋阵和螺线阵,缩短了飞机航程,减少了浮标消耗,提升了浮标使用效率。
(2)针对声呐浮标的网络优化和融合研究。Benmohamed等[52]讨论了以浮标为中心,通过卫星或飞机进行场外传输的多网关节点系统,通过传感器内部融合从检测概率与虚警概率方面提高整个网络性能。Saksena等[53]研究了网络内融合及相关网络算法,提高静态声呐应用的能效及检测性能。Wang等[54]采用多被动声呐浮标交叉定位,结合霍夫变换和点迹相关技术,在低信噪比、多目标和复杂噪声条件下实现了对水下低可探测性目标较高的检测概率。鞠建波等[55]基于北斗定位模块,提升了对潜定位精度和稳定性,显著提高了直线浮标阵搜潜能力。Liu等[56]开发远程跟踪检测系统,在系统硬件架构的基础上,利用信号处理技术精确获得到达时间,降低脉冲噪声影响的水声信道虚警率,采用最小二乘有效估算出无人潜航器的位置和速度。
(3)实战下的浮标探潜性能分析及探潜效能评价。许爱强等[57]利用WSEIAC系统效能评估模型,建立记载浮标搜潜系统的效能方程,融合可维修性等实战因素,量化计算浮标阵列成活率。秦锋等[58]建立了航空被动声呐浮标搜潜作战效能仿真模型,仿真分析了瞬时探测概率及累积探测概率。成建波[59]针对被动定向浮标探测及声源浮标−扩展阵浮标配合的主动探测进行了典型作战样式分析,证明了基于大中型固定翼无人机的声呐浮标搜潜系统具有完整优良的独立反潜能力。
除了上述3个方向的研究外,为了进一步提高水下目标探测精度和效率,相关学者也开展了自主跟踪及多信息参数探测手段的研究。Li等[60]则提出了一种基于自主跟踪浮标的未知轨迹无人潜航器定位方法,利用了超短基线测量建立空间几何模型,对数据进行预处理,通过均值滤波,方向捕获、位置跟踪以及位置同步,提出了不需要轨迹预测的自适应跟踪控制算法,将无人潜航器的定位误差减小到10 cm以内。Caiti等[61]基于声呐浮标测得的声波渡越时间,提出了一种生成三维空间中水下自主航行器的定位算法,针对水深小于500 m的浅水环境,引入了海水中声速剖面的实际变化,获得了较好的定位结果。刘百峰等[62]通过构建中继浮标与长基线系统潜标相结合的系统,设计系统节点并探讨对应的通信方式,实现了水下目标的导航定位,解决了大范围监测和水下目标安全机动的问题。
浮标在水下目标探测应用的第二种方法是将浮标作为通信中继。由于存在跨介质通信难题,需要通过潜标、水下航行器、固定阵等获取信息,借助浮标与数据处理中心进行通信。Rice等[63]在北卡罗来纳州莫尔黑德市海域,通过多个声学中继器节点以及无线电和声学通信网关浮标,将海网获得的信息通过可扩展的广域水下网络通过铱星通信以低延迟发送到岸上指挥中心,利用岸基视频监控对进入该区域的航行器进行分类,以确认航行器属性并决定相应的应对措施。Zolich等[64]则提出了一个水面节点网络的概念设计并进行了验证,该网络提供了水下传感器和无人航行器之间的通信桥梁,通过浮标将水下传感器数据与水面网状无线传感器网络相连接,实现水下传感器探测结果的跨介质传输。
综上所述,目标探测声呐浮标不仅已经有着广泛的应用,而且未来仍然具有广阔的应用前景。然而,由于信号载体及传输环境物理特性的限制,目标探测声呐浮标各信号传输的带宽、稳定性以及时效性都会受到影响,严重时将导致数据传输的延迟乃至丢失。例如,水声通信虽然在水中具有优越的穿透性,但是传输带宽、时延以及误码率导致水声通信存在严重的信道衰落和多径效应等问题[65]。而受到信号覆盖面积的限制,水上通信同样会遇到信号太弱甚至丢失信号的问题。而海洋的特殊应用场景中出现的天气、海浪、洋流、自然地貌等其他因素的影响,会进一步放大现有技术的缺点劣势。因而,虽然该类浮标已经在水下目标探测、定位等方面取得大量成果,但在实际工程中仍面临诸多挑战,如:
(1)高功耗:高性能声学探测设备通常伴随高功耗,严重降低电池供电浮标系统的工作周期。因此,开发低功耗的声学传感技术或改善现有的能源管理系统,以延长设备的作业时间和稳定性,是后续研究的重点和难点。
(2)复杂海洋环境下信号处理:复杂海洋环境噪声、锚系系统抖动噪声和随机漂流导致的测量误差都可能干扰声学传感器的信号处理稳健性,可能掩盖或扭曲关键的声学信号,降低探测精度。因此开发高效的噪声抑制和信号提取算法,是提高探测能力的关键。
(3)浮标系统稳定性:浮标的工作环境恶劣,实际工作过程中锚泊系统会出现断裂、损坏、离位的情况,造成漂失、移位等现象。如何保证浮标系统在恶劣海况和天气条件下不走锚、不断链且正常工作是需解决的重要问题。
与此同时,反潜技术也在不断进步。针对声呐浮标探潜的发展,潜艇也开始研究相应的反探潜技术。第一类是针对直接探测的声呐浮标,通过进入浮标探测盲区,躲避浮标探测。Ju和Yu[66]就针对无源声呐浮标拦截阵,建立了方形和圆形的拦截阵计算模型,获取潜艇针对不同拦截浮标阵列躲避的最佳方案。而高学强等[67]也研究了潜艇规避主动声呐的策略以显著降低主动声呐浮标的作战效能。
为了有效应对反探潜手段,除了直接探测水下目标本身,通过探测人造潜水器运动引起的环境变化也是一个可行的探潜发展方向,因此除了直接利用声波探测水下航行器本身之外,也可以通过对于尾流等航迹的探测实现探测。Bae等[68]通过布置基于浮标的多声呐传感器阵列,对采集到的气泡团声学数据进行预处理,并采用包络逆时偏移来获取远海气泡团的三维分布特征。通过对表征进行分析,对人造潜水器的探测技术起到促进作用。第二类通过阻断声呐浮标与信息处理单元的通信,达到反探潜的目的。盛基伟和胡成军[69]就利用干扰浮标对声呐浮标与反潜飞机间的无线电通信进行干扰压制,证明瞄准式干扰可有效对抗反潜飞机对潜艇的定位。
针对不同的探测任务和探测距离,声呐浮标的载荷也呈现非常大的差别。通常来说,航空声呐浮标较为轻便,如美国的3款较为常用的航空声呐浮标,长度均在1 m以内,但其多针对距离范围较为固定的潜艇探测,且通常需要多个浮标进行协同工作。而锚系声呐浮标则可以搭载更大载荷,由于水下运动目标频率通常较低,为了进行高精度定位,导致天线尺寸相应加大,甚至可以达到数百米。矢量水听器的出现,对该领域的发展起到了推动作用,新型矢量水听器的尺寸较小,且能够实现高精度的定位。在浮标上搭载声呐阵列,可能会因为高海况导致的浮标剧烈运动造成对探测造成干扰,甚至淹没目标信号,因此一些浮标加装了隔震装置来规避这一问题。
随着各国潜艇的隐身技术不断进步,反潜要求也在不断提高,导致水下目标探测难度不断增加。各国致力于完善原有技术,获得更优的探测效果,应对更加复杂苛刻的探测需求。
受限于声波传播速度、探测精度、特征提取能力、海洋背景噪声干扰、设备成本及能耗等原因,迫切需要更加先进的水下目标探测手段。从而出现了采用光学、电磁波等技术的水下探测手段。在水质清澈的水域中,光学/激光传感器可以提供高精度的目标探测和定位。光学/激光传感器通常采用高灵敏度的探测器和高分辨率的成像系统来捕捉目标的散射信号或图像信息。通过图像处理和目标识别算法如边缘检测、形态学处理等来实现对水下目标的精确识别和跟踪。而电磁波探测则通过系统发射电磁波并接收反射信号来探测目标。通常采用频率调制连续波(FMCW)或脉冲多普勒(PD)体制,结合先进的信号处理和目标检测算法来提取目标信息。此外,针对浮标与基站间通信的不足,优化现有通信方法、研究新的通信方法,也可以提升通信质量和鲁棒性,提升以浮标为中继的水下目标探测系统的性能。因此,将一些新的探测、通信模块和方法集成于浮标,能够为该领域的研究带来新的思路。
当前,基于浮标平台也会采用光学的方式进行成像、特征提取及识别方式进行目标探测。但是这些探测多针对于水上目标[70-71],用于海上船只识别及避障等海面应用,而对于水下目标探测的研究较为鲜见。
当前,该领域的重点和难点主要集中在光照和成像质量、水下光的散射和衰减以及复杂背景下的多种类目标识别等问题上。这主要是由于水下环境复杂多变,且自然光源匮乏。同时,光在水中传播过程中经历强烈的吸收、反射及散射作用,极大地限制了成像质量,具体表现为可见范围缩减、图像模糊、对比度降低、光照分布不均、色彩失真及噪声显著增加等问题。特别地,长波长光的高效吸收显著更进一步限制了成像的深度范围。此外,散射光(包括前向与后向)也是当前成像系统的主要干扰源,进一步削弱了图像的对比度和清晰度。水下复杂背景与目标类型的多样性,加之目标可能的高速运动或遮挡情况,均对目标的精确表示与高效检测构成挑战,可能引发目标追踪丢失、检测性能下降等一系列问题。因此,水下目标光学探测技术迫切需要高性能硬件与高效软件的深度融合协同,以期显著提升探测效果与稳定性。
为了解决上述问题,许多学者针对性地展开了一系列的研究,使得水下目标成像也是一个较为热门的方向,目前的研究方向中包括以下几个主要分支。
(1)水下主动照明成像[7274]:水下主动照明成像通过采用蓝绿激光(通常是532 nm)对目标进行照射,增强反射光的能量等级,实现成像。然而入射光的增强不仅会提升反射光的能量等级,同样也会提升后向散射光的能量,造成图像质量的下降。
(2)水下激光扫描成像[7478]:虽然水下激光成像也是发射激光,但是该方法主要通过线或点扫描的方式采样,并将信号按照空间排布进行拼接获取灰度图像。相比水下主动照明,激光扫描成像的光源更加聚焦,因此反射能量及穿透能力较之主动扫描更高。但是,扫描在提高光能量密度的同时,降低了单位时间的扫描空间,因此需要更长时间进行采样。
(3)水下偏振成像[7982]:水下偏振成像主要是利用偏振光场中所包含信息的差异性和唯一性进行成像的一种形式。通过采集不同偏振态图像,通过进行差分等技术手段,去除背景散射,提升成像的距离和质量。但是这种成像方式对算法质量要求高,因此在算法不完备或者鲁棒性较差时,效果不理想,尤其在复杂条件下成像处理能力比较差。
(4)水下距离选通成像[8386]:水下距离选通成像主要利用了目标反射光波和散射光波之间渡越时间的差异,通过选通快门剥离出特定渡越时间的反射光波,达到滤除散射光干扰的目的。这种方式虽然可以大幅提升成像的距离和质量,但是非常依赖选通快门的窗口选择。超出渡越时间窗口的光信息无法被探测。
此外,还有水下压缩感知成像[87-88]、量子激光雷达[89]等新兴的光学成像技术和手段。虽然当前该领域的探索已经取得了长足进步,但是距离解决水下光学成像面临的问题,尤其是在复杂极端海况下实现全天候观测,仍然任重而道远。
进行水下目标光学探测,根据探测手段和环境的不同,尺寸也会有较大的区别。但是通常来说,针对大范围的目标探测,需要很高的激光功率,因此激光器的尺寸和重量均较大。这对浮标载荷配置提出了较高的要求。
在浮标上增加此类探测手段,应当依据目标海域特点进行选择,且重点考虑能耗、光学仪器的耐用性及探测稳定性。上述大多数技术虽然可以通过对硬件系统设计的优化一定程度上提升成像质量,但现阶段硬件系统框架已经基本确定,目前主要通过软件算法的改进提升技术性能,包括基于传统算法进行的优化以及与深度学习算法进行的融合。未来,随着水下目标成像技术的进一步成熟,成像质量和距离的进一步提升,可以有效提升监测范围,对浮标的水下目标探测提供强大助力。
20世纪60年代,美国、加拿大以及苏联先后开始发展水下目标电磁探测技术,进行敌方潜艇的主动探测以及对自己重要的沿海目标进行保护及预警。而后,对于水下目标电磁探测的研究持续推进。尤其在1991年海湾战争中,美军发现复杂近海环境中声学探测的劣势,电磁探测的优势逐渐得到了重视。而后,随着电磁场探测技术的不断发展,目前的电磁探测在复杂环境下也可达到相当的精度。严格的来说,电磁探测可以划分为两种类型,电场探测和磁场探测。
电场探测的灵感来源于亚马孙河流域的魔鬼刀鱼[90],这种鱼类在尾部产生电场,电场与外界作用后的电信号被魔鬼刀鱼探测,依据不同物体的不同电学特性造成不同的电场扭曲,经过大脑处理实现对于目标的探测。目前以此为蓝本,研究者从理论[91]、算法[9293]、实验等多个层面,验证了这一技术路线的可行性[9497]。然而,虽然这一技术具有能耗小、探测精度高、系统延迟小、通常情况下不易受环境干扰等优点,但是作用距离较近,适合搭载在水下运动平台上,在现阶段尚不适合基于浮标平台的应用。
而磁场探测有时候也被称为磁异常探测,通过对磁场特征参数的测量,获取水下目标或者其航迹等环境变化参数的信息,进而计算出水下目标信息。磁场探测的兴起得益于高灵敏度磁场检测装置的发展。由于磁场特征参数种类较多,也相应地出现了多种基于不同原理的磁场检测设备,较为常见的有基于电磁感应效应的磁通门磁强计[98],基于质子进动频率测量的质子进动磁强计[99],基于电子与质子耦合效应的Overhauser磁强计[100],以及基于塞曼效应的光泵磁力仪[101]等。
当前,该领域面临的主要问题包括极端情况下的噪声干扰、探测距离和深度受限、数据处理复杂程度较高等问题。虽然通常情况下电磁探测手段抗干扰能力较强,但是在极端自然条件及人类日益频繁的海洋活动干扰下,也会产生较大问题。例如自然源如雷电、地磁扰动等及人为源如船只活动、通信设备运行等,这些噪声对电磁探测信号的接收与处理构成显著干扰。此外,深海特有的电磁信号传播特性进一步约束了探测的深度范围,随着探测距离延伸,电磁信号会显著衰减,增大了对远距离目标探测的难度。同时,水下目标的电磁特性因目标材质、几何形态、尺寸、姿态及其所处环境等多重因素而异,致使目标电磁信号的精确提取与识别变得尤为困难。面对海量且复杂的电磁探测数据,亟需高效的数据处理与分析技术以萃取有价值信息,并确保目标识别的准确性。然而,当前技术在保障处理实时性、提升分析准确性及增强结果可靠性方面仍面临诸多挑战。为了解决这一问题,各国科学家也进行了诸多尝试。
与声呐类似,磁场探测也可以分为主动和被动两种不同的大类,主动探测依靠对系统主动发射的电磁场引起的二次场探测发现目标,而被动探测系统本身不发射电磁场,而是依赖对于目标直接辐射的电磁场进行探测。
(1)主动电磁法:探测设备利用电磁感应产生磁场,磁场会在探测目标中产生感应电压,诱发二次磁场,探测这些二次磁场即可获取含有导电材料的目标信息并实现定位。根据探测时间点的不同,这种技术也出现了一些不同分支,比较主要的有源脉冲感应法[102]以及瞬变电磁法[103104],后者受到一次脉冲电场影响更少,因而更加精确。主动电磁法对于目标探测的灵敏度更高,但是在浮标应用上也存在一定问题:一是持续产生一次磁场需要频繁通电对浮标产生一定的能耗负担;二是浮标通常是一个集合了多种不同电子设备的综合平台,而主动探测自身产生的磁场,可能会对其它电子设备造成干扰。
(2)被动电磁法:被动电磁法依靠捕捉目标自身产生的电磁场实现探测。目标电磁场产生的原因有多种,例如搭载的电子设备在工作过程中会产生磁场,以及由于地磁场的存在,导体切割磁感线会产生感应电压,并在回路中形成电流,同样会导致磁场的产生。常用的检测手段主要有全程跟踪检测[105106]以及交叉检测[107]等,被动电磁法能耗低,且不会因为产生强磁场造成干扰,当前的大多数磁探浮标是基于被动探测法,并且部分已经应用在对于安静型潜艇的探测之中[108]
当前,为了进一步提高被动电磁法检测的灵敏度,且规避主动电磁法的弊端,该方向的研究已经不再仅仅依靠地磁场,而是依靠专门布置人工电磁源[109],或者依赖水下原有的人工电磁源[97]提供更强的背景磁场。这种改进,也会对相关技术在浮标上的应用起到一定推动作用,使该类方法具备更强的探测能力。只是电磁探测器的尺寸通常较大,因此对浮标尺寸和载荷配置同样有一定要求。此外,为了使电磁探测设备具有更好的效果,需要考虑浮标及搭载设备可能造成的电磁干扰。
随着我国海洋探索的广度和深度不断取得进展,对于数据传输能力和质量的需求也在不断提高。建设水下–水面–空中一体化的海洋网络,实现数据的长距离、跨界面传输成为了发展趋势。作为水面漂浮平台,浮标具有横跨水面上下两种不同介质的特性,使其能够很好实现跨介质信号传输。因此,智能浮标数据中继关键技术是智能浮标重点关键技术之一。
该领域的技术难点主要包括环境适应性、通信距离及鲁棒性、组网通信干扰、系统能耗及数据传输效率等。海洋环境的复杂多变,不仅会因为风浪流带来标体的剧烈波动,盐雾的侵蚀以及温度的大幅变化也会加快标体材料腐蚀,这些环境因素大幅降低了浮标通信中继设备的稳定性和可靠性。同时,多数情况下,中继浮标需同时实现水上水下的远距离通信覆盖,复杂的海洋环境加剧了信号衰减与干扰,严重制约了通信的稳定性能。此外,为了扩大探测范围,浮标会以组网形式出现,而相互间的通信易产生干扰,反而降低通信质量。再者,浮标难以像岸基或者近岸平台一样获取充足能源,而是普遍依赖电池或太阳能等可再生能源供电,其系统功耗直接影响续航能力,是制约浮标长期稳定运行的关键因素之一。同时,浮标还需高效采集并传输包括环境参数、图像信息等在内的海量数据,这对数据处理与传输效率提出了更为严苛的要求。因此,优化浮标通信中继技术,提升其在复杂海洋环境中的适应性与性能表现,成为当前研究的重点方向。
浮标应用过程中,除了一些共性问题可以通过设备设计,材料优化,降低和优化配置设备功耗进行解决之外,实现准确高效的综合组网节点通信成为了重中之重。国内外研究团队就浮标数据处理与传输技术开展了相关工作。通过数据压缩及多路复用技术降低通信成本,提升传输效率[110112]。同时,通过采用高性能的调制解调技术[113114]、差错控制策略以及优化通讯协议[115],均能够提升数据传输质量,增加数据通量,提升数据准确性。
该领域目前也出现了一些新的技术手段,例如中微子通信[116117]、量子通信[118119]以及引力波通信[120]等。虽然上述技术能够同时保证信号的准确度、传输速率以及传输距离,但目前仍然停留在理论研究阶段或仅完成了原理性实验,距离实际的业务化应用还有相当的距离。未来,随着我国北斗三代及天通卫星、水上水下异构通信以及5G/6G近岸通信等新型技术的发展和应用,未来浮标数据中继的传输速率和稳定性将得到显著提升。同时,通过引入人工智能、机器学习等技术手段,提高浮标的智能化水平和自主化能力将成为未来发展的重要趋势。构建由多个浮标和其他观测平台组成的协同观测网络,实现多源数据的互补和融合将是未来发展的重要方向。
必须指出的是,探测准确度与传输性能不是基于浮标水下目标探测的全部,针对海洋环境中的潜在威胁和风险,加强浮标的安全与防护措施保障数据和设备的安全也是未来发展的重要方向之一。数据的安全高效问题(如数据压缩与加密、多路复用技术、错误控制与恢复),多源数据融合的问题(如数据格式不统一、数据处理复杂性、数据质量控制)等,也是浮标作为水下目标探测中继节点必须攻克的突出难题。当前水下目标探测技术已经逐渐向着多源数据融合发展[121122],通过构建包含浮标、水下航行器、海底、岸基等平台,融合声光电磁等探测手段、软件定义网络、虚拟化网络、云雾计算、水下物联网的综合性立体化观测网络,不仅是未来进行水下目标探测的局势,也符合 “透明海洋”工程构想的大方向。
表1中更清晰地展示了本节中3种不同技术分支的技术重点和难点以及解决方向。
初始空段落
随着科技的进步和海洋事业的发展,水下目标探测技术仍需不断提高和完善。本文针对以浮标为平台的水下目标检测技术,重点对于声呐浮标进行了综述,并在此基础上,对水下目标光学探测技术、水下目标电磁探测技术以及浮标通信中继技术进行了介绍和分析,讨论了应用在浮标上的可行性和前景。未来,在继续发展现有技术的基础上,新的技术领域将不断开拓,并且与大数据和人工智能进行结合,以期在探测准确性、数据处理实时性以及系统鲁棒性等方面取得进一步突破。综合来看,未来的研究方向主要有以下几个方面。
一是在原有理论基础上的技术创新。以现有技术原理为基础,通过创新声呐应用体制,发展新的颠覆性探测技术,为相关领域应用提供支撑,是水下探测技术发展的一个方向。例如,双/多基地声呐探测技术原理在过去的几十年中已经得到了广泛的应用和研究。通过创新应用这一原理,可以发展出新的水下探测系统,提高探测能力和作战效果。
二是非声探测技术将成为水下声学探测技术的有力补充。随着计算机技术、大数据技术的不断发展,非声探测技术在水下探测领域的应用也将得到进一步拓展。非声探测技术可以弥补声学探测技术的不足,提高目标捕获概率和探测的有效性、可靠性。例如,通过运算检测安静型潜艇造成微小环境变化的模型,非声探测技术将能够更好地实现探测任务。同时,美海军也在尝试非声传感器和无人系统平台的结合,形成能广域覆盖的探测网络,比如分布式敏捷反潜系统的浅海子系统由数十个无人机搭载非声传感器组网探潜。这种技术的应用将进一步拓展水下探测技术的领域和范围,推动水下探测技术的发展和创新。
三是将传感器形成适用于各种环境条件的分布式水下网络。除了利用陆、海、空、天的大小平台搭载传感器形成探测能力之外,利用水听器、浮标等传感器形成分布式水下网络也是未来水下探测技术重点发展的方向之一。尤其是移动式水下网络,可由飞机、水面舰、潜艇搭载和布放,快速部署形成探测能力,搜索水下目标、保护己方高价值目标。这种技术的应用将进一步提高水下探测的覆盖范围和准确度,为水下探测技术的发展提供有力支持。
四是在着力发展浮标中继通信技术的基础上,进一步拓宽水下探测手段,提高信息探测的覆盖面和灵活度。利用快速发展的无人系统平台搭载各种传感器形成新的水下探测能力。无人系统平台具有数量众多、种类多样、机动灵活、适应环境广泛、低成本等特点,可执行广域监测搜寻等任务,在水下目标探测领域具有广阔的应用前景。通过研究适合各种类型无人系统搭载的紧凑型传感器、硬件电路和软件算法,可以形成新的水下探测能力,为水下探测技术的发展提供新的思路和方法。
五是着力发展基于智能浮标的广域互联水下目标探测体系。通过将浮标与物联网技术相结合,可以实现浮标之间的互联互通和数据共享。同时,人工智能技术的引入将进一步提升浮标的数据处理和分析能力,使其能够更快速地识别和响应水下目标,解决浮标当前“只测不感”的现状,在小范围局域感测的基础上,构建国家或者区域的大范围水下目标监测网络,真正实现海洋的“透明”。
