In this study, based on the extended Kalman filter (EKF), an approach is proposed for identifying unknown ground motion time history and structural parameters by using the absolute acceleration measurements. First, the interfacial force of the lower boundary of the 1st floor is considered as the unknown excitation. The EKF-based approach is employed for the identification of this unknown excitation and the remaining structural stiffness parameters. Then, by using Fourier transform, the structural natural frequencies can be obtained from the acceleration measurements and used for identifying structural stiffness of the 1st floor. Finally, based on these identified structural parameters, the unknown interfacial force mentioned above is updated and employed for identifying ground acceleration with the aid of Newmark-β method. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is validated via a numerical frame structure and a five-story experimental model under shaking table tests.

针对未知地震作用下框架结构的参数识别问题,提出了一种基于扩展卡尔曼滤波(extended Kalman filter,EKF)的地震动时程反演与结构参数识别方法。首先,将首层底板的层间边界力视作未知外激力,利用未知激力下的EKF算法识别此未知激励以及其余层的剪切刚度;其次,采用傅里叶变换,从绝对加速度时程中获取结构基频,进而根据特征方程识别首层刚度系数;最后,基于识别的结构参数,进一步修正未知边界力,并结合Newmark-β法反演地震加速度时程。文中通过5层框架模型数值算例和振动台试验验证了本文算法的有效性。

针对未知地震作用下框架结构的参数识别问题,提出了一种基于扩展卡尔曼滤波(extended Kalman filter,EKF)的地震动时程反演与结构参数识别方法。首先,将首层底板的层间边界力视作未知外激力,利用未知激力下的EKF算法识别此未知激励以及其余层的剪切刚度;其次,采用傅里叶变换,从绝对加速度时程中获取结构基频,进而根据特征方程识别首层刚度系数;最后,基于识别的结构参数,进一步修正未知边界力,并结合Newmark-β法反演地震加速度时程。文中通过5层框架模型数值算例和振动台试验验证了本文算法的有效性。

In this study, based on the extended Kalman filter (EKF), an approach is proposed for identifying unknown ground motion time history and structural parameters by using the absolute acceleration measurements. First, the interfacial force of the lower boundary of the 1st floor is considered as the unknown excitation. The EKF-based approach is employed for the identification of this unknown excitation and the remaining structural stiffness parameters. Then, by using Fourier transform, the structural natural frequencies can be obtained from the acceleration measurements and used for identifying structural stiffness of the 1st floor. Finally, based on these identified structural parameters, the unknown interfacial force mentioned above is updated and employed for identifying ground acceleration with the aid of Newmark-β method. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is validated via a numerical frame structure and a five-story experimental model under shaking table tests.

地震容易造成建筑、桥梁、大坝等土木结构的损伤甚至破坏,已有学者开展了地震作用下的结构参数识别和性能评估研究[1-4]。基于状态方程及观测方程,利用结构参数和外激励时程,卡尔曼滤波(Kalman filter,KF)可以实现系统状态的无偏估计。通过扩展系统状态向量,包含待识别的结构参数,扩展卡尔曼滤波(extended Kalman filter,EKF)应运而生,实现了结构参数识别。此外,对于强非线性识别问题,为了减少EKF算法线性化技术带来的识别误差,学者们还提出了一种采用无迹变换的无迹卡尔曼滤波算法(unscented Kalman filter,UKF)进行非线性系统识别。
经典的EKF算法需已知外激励,然而在实际工程中,往往存在荷载未知或者难以测量的情况。因此,一些学者提出了未知输入下的EKF算法(extended Kalman filter under unknown input,EKF-UI)。此类方法大多利用偏导及泰勒公式,线性逼近系统状态方程及观测方程,通过优化带约束条件的目标函数或最小二乘法,识别结构参数及未知外激励。如YANG等[5]提出了一种具有未知激励的自适应扩展卡尔曼滤波方法,并通过试验验证了该方法用于结构损伤监测的可靠性[6]。LEI等[7]提出了一种在有限输入和输出条件下的非线性结构参数辨识算法,并将此方法应用于子结构识别[8]、风荷载识别[9]等。
但是,上述EKF-UI算法均假设结构基底固定不动,此时,观测方程中的测量值与状态方程中的状态向量均为相对量,能够实现一一对应。然而地震发生时,结构基底也会发生运动,此时的观测量不可避免的包含了地震动信息,例如,加速度计获取的实测值为绝对加速度,该值就包含了地震动加速度时程。由于状态方程中的状态向量为相对量,因而上述EKF-UI算法均无法有效识别结构参数。针对这一情况,一些学者提出了未知地震输入下的结构参数识别方法。例如,饶勇平等[10]提出了一种未知输入下的广义卡尔曼滤波识别算法,并将此算法与子结构结合,应用于非线性剪切框架结构参数的识别[11]。HUANG等[12]提出了一种基于广义卡尔曼滤波器的结构参数和地震实时识别方法。利用最小二乘法,杨纪鹏等[13]提出了在变换空间内识别结构参数,并反演未知地震动时程的识别算法。基于嵌入贝叶斯噪声参数更新技术的EKF算法,PAN[14]提出了一种仅用少量传感器进行地震动时程的估计方法。LI等[15]提出了一种利用结构健康监测系统测得的结构模态参数和加速度响应进行地震动识别的方法。LEI等[16]提出了一种在未知地震激励下时变结构的识别与控制一体化方法。
基于EKF,利用投影矩阵和最小二乘法,提出了一种结构参数和荷载识别方法[17],并将此方法拓展应用于子结构识别[18]、模态坐标下的响应重构[19]、时变参数识别[20-21]。然而,此类方法并不能直接用于地震动未知的情况。因此,本文进一步提出了一种地震动时程反演与结构参数识别方法,并通过5层框架模型数值算例和振动台试验验证了该方法的有效性。
对于具有n个自由度的剪切型框架结构,其绝对坐标系下的运动平衡方程[22]

基于状态方程式(2)和观测方程式(5),利用EKF-UI方法[17],可以实现状态估计和荷载反演,如式(6)~式(11)所示:

需要注意的是,采用上述公式识别结构参数时,由于k1包含在未知外激励的表达式中,如式(4)所示,因此,k1的识别值与真实值之间存在一定的偏差。为有效识别k1,这里对绝对加速度观测值进行傅里叶变换,拾取频谱图中峰值处的特征频率,然后结合结构特征方程,获得可靠的k1识别值。基于识别的结构参数值,可以进一步修正。由式(4)可知,该方程中还存在未知的地面位移和速度,为了反演未知地震动时程,还需要补充2个方程。此时,结合Newmark-β法,取γ = 1/2,β = 1/4,该方法无条件收敛,补充公式如式(12)、式(13)所示:

本文首先通过5层框架结构数值算例在线弹性范围内的地震作用下验证本文方法的有效性。结构各层的质量均假设为50 kg,刚度系数为120 kN/m,其特征频率分别为2.22、6.48、10.21、13.12、14.96 Hz。假设采用瑞利阻尼,其对应的阻尼系数分别为α1 =0.6232和α2 =0.0011,基于特征频率和瑞利阻尼系数,可计算得出结构的前2阶阻尼比ξ1ξ2均为3%。本节采用2条地震动时程,即Kobe波和El Centro波,其峰值加速度分别为3.45、3.33 m/s2。数值验证过程中,首先对上述结构施加地震作用,基于运动平衡方程,计算出结构动力响应。其次,利用获得的加速度响应,假设模型参数和地震动时程未知,根据本文方法进行识别,最后,将识别值与真实值进行对比,验证本文方法的有效性。Kobe波和El Centro波作用下各层绝对加速度时程如图1所示,计算响应时采用的时间间隔为0.001 s。
为了考虑不同噪声水平对本文提出算法的影响,分别在观测量中引入3%和5%的白噪声,待识别的结构参数包括5个刚度系数和2个瑞利阻尼系数。由于初始估计偏差的原因,待识别的结构参数的初始值假设为真实值的50%。系统噪声矩阵Q和观测噪声矩阵分别设置为10-4×I和100×I
根据提出的方法,不同噪声水平下的结构参数识别结果分别如表1表2所示,图2给出了不同噪声水平下刚度系数的识别结果,受篇幅限制,这里仅给出了k2k3的识别结果。由表1表2图2可知,随着噪声水平提高,参数识别结果的误差增大。刚度系数的识别结果较好,最大误差不超过5%,但是,阻尼比的识别结果相对较差,其误差可达7.52%,其原因主要在于阻尼比本身的数值很小,故计算相对误差时,其结果看起来会较大。此外,表中的结构阻尼比是基于识别的刚度系数和瑞利阻尼系数计算得出,因此,可以预料其误差值会相对较大。尽管如此,从表1表2中仍然可以看出,阻尼比的识别值还是相对合理的。
除了识别结构参数,本文的方法还能同时识别作用于结构的地震动时程,识别结果如图3所示。可以看出,不同地震波下识别值和真实值吻合较好。为了进一步量化地震动时程的识别误差,这里采用均方根误差(root mean square error,RMSE)进行描述,,其中s是总的采样点数;分别表示第i个采样点对应的待估算量的估计值和真实值。RMSE值越小则说明识别结果越精确。对于Kobe波,3%和5%噪声水平下的RMSE值分别为0.30%和0.59%;而El Centro波的RMSE值分别为0.80%和1.02%。可以看出,2组地震波在不同噪声水平下的RMSE值均较小,识别结果可靠。
本节利用5层框架振动台试验进一步验证本文方法的有效性和可靠性,结构模型如图4所示,该模型可简化为5自由度的剪切型结构。各层质量分别为m1 = 67.43 kg、m2 = 61.65 kg、m3 = 56.54 kg、m4 = 62.82 kg、m5 =59.66 kg。各层刚度系数分别为k1 =265.60 kN/m、k2 =257.60 kN/m、k3 =261.90 kN/m、k4 =263.90 kN/m、k5 =271.30 kN/m。通过力锤试验获得该结构的前2阶频率分别为2.97、8.66 Hz,前2阶阻尼比的测试值分别为0.81%和1.01%。采用缩小峰值的Northridge地震波作为基底输入,其峰值加速度为0.226 g,各层加速度计的采样频率为1000 Hz。本振动台试验在香港理工大学开展,更具体的模型介绍见参考文献[17]。
待识别的结构参数包括5个刚度系数和2个瑞利阻尼系数,根据本文提出的算法,结构各层刚度系数识别结果如表3所示。由表可知,刚度系数的识别值与真实值较接近,最大误差为4.71%。图5进一步给出了k2k3的识别结果,受篇幅长度限制,这里仅给出了第2层和第3层的识别结果,其余各层的识别结果类似。类似于数值算例,基于识别的刚度系数和瑞利阻尼系数,可获得结构的前2阶的阻尼比分别为1.28%和2.24%,可以看出,与测试值之间存在一定的差异性,但该识别结果依然可以接受。此外,利用本文的方法,还能识别地震加速度时程,结果如图6所示。由图可知,地震加速度的识别值与真实值也是较为接近的,其对应的RMSE值为0.14%。
针对未知地震动输入下的结构参数识别问题,基于作者已提出的EKF-UI算法,本文提出了一种地震动时程反演与结构参数识别的方法。该方法通过Newmark-β法提供补充方程,利用绝对加速度实测值,实现了结构参数和地震加速度的有效识别,并通过数值模拟和振动台试验验证了方法的有效性,该方法弥补了作者之前的EKF-UI算法不能使用绝对加速度进行地震动时程识别的缺陷。研究表明,随着噪声水平的提高,结构参数识别结果的误差相应增大,刚度系数的识别误差低于5%,但是阻尼系数的识别结果相对较大,其主要原因在于阻尼系数本身的值很小。此外,虽然基于EKF的算法可以利用泰勒展开式,可将非线性的状态方程和观测方程进行线性化处理,但是本文的算法主要针对线性结构,对于未知地震动作用下的结构非线性识别还有待进一步研究。
