The complex response of the ocean thermal energy conversion platforms in the marine environment makes the structural safety design of cold seawater intake pipes suspended beneath the platform a challenge. Recent research has shown that the in-plane motion of the platform (heave oscillation) triggers out-of-plane vortex-induced vibration (VIV) in the riser connected to the platform and the complex vortex vibration response can cause rapid accumulation of fatigue damage to the riser,resulting in structural damage. In this paper,we focus on the VIV response of a free-hanging riser under multi-degree-of-freedom motion,which has rarely been reported in previous studies. A pool model test to measure the VIV strain information of the riser using fiber-optic grating strain gauges is carried out. After analysis of the experimental results,it can be found that: the maximum oscillation velocity at a large KC number is the main parameter affecting the dominant frequency of the out-of-plane vortex vibration response; the dominant frequency of vibration at a small KC number is twice frequency of the motion of the top platform. By comparing the experimental and numerical results of the free-hanging riser under the three degrees of freedom motion of the platform,it is found that the influence of the VIV on the overall dynamic response of the free-hanging riser is not negligible in this case. These results can provide a reference for further research on the VIV of the free-hanging riser taking into account the influence of the platform motion.

平台在海洋环境下会产生复杂的多自由度运动响应,对与平台相连的立管响应尚缺乏系统研究。本文重点针对以往研究中鲜有关注的平台多自由度运动作用下悬垂管涡激振动响应特性,开展水池模型试验研究,通过光纤光栅应变片测量悬垂管的涡激振动应变信息。经过对试验结果的分析,可以发现:大KC数下最大振荡速度是影响面外涡激振动响应主导频率的主要参数;小KC数下振动主导频率是顶部平台运动频率的两倍。通过对比平台三自由度运动下悬垂管的试验和数值计算结果,发现此情形下涡激振动对悬垂管总体动力响应的影响不可忽略,可为进一步研究计及平台运动影响的悬垂管涡激振动提供参考。

平台在海洋环境下会产生复杂的多自由度运动响应,对与平台相连的立管响应尚缺乏系统研究。本文重点针对以往研究中鲜有关注的平台多自由度运动作用下悬垂管涡激振动响应特性,开展水池模型试验研究,通过光纤光栅应变片测量悬垂管的涡激振动应变信息。经过对试验结果的分析,可以发现:大KC数下最大振荡速度是影响面外涡激振动响应主导频率的主要参数;小KC数下振动主导频率是顶部平台运动频率的两倍。通过对比平台三自由度运动下悬垂管的试验和数值计算结果,发现此情形下涡激振动对悬垂管总体动力响应的影响不可忽略,可为进一步研究计及平台运动影响的悬垂管涡激振动提供参考。

The complex response of the ocean thermal energy conversion platforms in the marine environment makes the structural safety design of cold seawater intake pipes suspended beneath the platform a challenge. Recent research has shown that the in-plane motion of the platform (heave oscillation) triggers out-of-plane vortex-induced vibration (VIV) in the riser connected to the platform and the complex vortex vibration response can cause rapid accumulation of fatigue damage to the riser,resulting in structural damage. In this paper,we focus on the VIV response of a free-hanging riser under multi-degree-of-freedom motion,which has rarely been reported in previous studies. A pool model test to measure the VIV strain information of the riser using fiber-optic grating strain gauges is carried out. After analysis of the experimental results,it can be found that: the maximum oscillation velocity at a large KC number is the main parameter affecting the dominant frequency of the out-of-plane vortex vibration response; the dominant frequency of vibration at a small KC number is twice frequency of the motion of the top platform. By comparing the experimental and numerical results of the free-hanging riser under the three degrees of freedom motion of the platform,it is found that the influence of the VIV on the overall dynamic response of the free-hanging riser is not negligible in this case. These results can provide a reference for further research on the VIV of the free-hanging riser taking into account the influence of the platform motion.

随着对海洋资源进一步的开发和利用,越来越多的海上新型平台被提出,海上温差能发电平台是其中之一。温差能发电平台可以通过海洋表层温海水和深层冷海水之间的冷热交换生产清洁电力资源。目前已有研究结果表明,我国海洋温差能理论发电量可超过5.7×109 kW·h1。对于温差能发电平台,用以提升深层冷海水的悬垂取水管是最关键的结构之一。而温差能发电平台往往搭建在深远海,风浪流联合作用下的悬垂取水管将产生复杂的动力响应,其中涡激振动响应对其结构疲劳寿命的影响尤其不能忽视。立管的涡激振动是流体与结构相互作用的结果,洋流流经海洋立管时,会在立管后方产生交替脱落的漩涡,漩涡将导致立管在横流向(Cross-Flow,CF)和顺流向(In-Line,IL)两个方向上发生振动变形,这种现象被称为涡激振动。
最近的研究表明,顶部平台垂荡运动时,立管与周围流场产生相对振荡运动,将形成一个振荡流场,使得立管除了在洋流作用下发生涡激振动以及平台运动导致总体动力响应外,还会因平台运动产生显著的面外涡激振动2-3。平台运动诱导的涡激振动响应会导致立管疲劳损伤更为迅速地积累并导致结构损坏,研究平台运动影响下悬垂管的涡激振动响应具有重要的工程意义。
专家学者对涡激振动展开了一系列深入的研究:VANDIVER等4在Seneca湖中开展了自由悬挂柔管在均匀流下的涡激振动响应试验,试验结果表明立管的涡激振动响应十分复杂,呈现多模态响应特征。CHEN等5对斜拉索在均匀风以及剪切剖面风作用下的涡激振动响应开展了试验以及相应的数值分析。然而目前大量的研究都基于作用在立管上的流速未发生改变这一前提。FU等6对柔性水平立管的简谐强迫振荡试验结果表明,振荡流场中立管的涡激振动特性相较于定常流场存在较大差异,发现振荡流中涡激振动存在“幅值调制”、“间歇性VIV”等现象。SUMER等7、FU等8则通过刚性圆柱强迫振荡试验发现,涡激振动响应与顶部KC数(Keulegan-Carpenter number)有关。WANG等9研究了平台运动对悬链线立管的涡激振动响应影响,试验结果表明,当振动方向发生改变时,立管的尾流流场也会发生改变,这种现象使得涡激振动更加复杂和难以预测。
在平台运动引起的悬垂管涡激振动响应特性研究方面,WANG等10开展了船体运动响应下悬垂取水管的响应试验研究,该试验研究了小KC数(KC数<30)下悬垂管的响应特性。试验结果证明了KC数对涡激振动主导频率的影响,在较小的KC值下,船体运动引起的涡激振动响应结果与早期对刚性圆柱涡激振动的观测结果具有很好的一致性。但是缺乏对大KC数条件下的研究,具有一定局限性,且平台仅做单自由度运动,与真实海况中的复杂运动具有较大差别。
本文以温差能平台取水管为原型,系统开展了单自由度和多自由度平台运动下的悬垂管涡激振动响应水池模型试验,试验包括3个KC数、2个最大振荡速度工况;试验中利用伺服控制技术实现给定平台运动的精确模拟,应用光纤光栅应变片测量悬垂管上的涡激振动应变响应。进一步应用快速傅里叶变换等手段,分别对平台单自由度简谐运动和平台三自由度不规则运动下的悬垂管涡激振动响应幅值及频率进行分析;最后,针对平台三自由度不规则运动下的悬垂管动力响应,将试验测量结果和不考虑涡激振动的数值模拟结果进行对比,分析平台三自由度运动下悬垂管涡激振动对总体动力响应的影响。
计及平台运动影响的悬垂管涡激振动响应试验在上海交通大学船模拖曳水池中开展,试验设计如图1所示。试验中定义拖车运动方向为x轴,本文中平台进行单自由度运动时将沿x轴运动,称此运动方向为面内(In-Plane),与此运动方向水平垂直的为y轴,称为面外(Out-of-Plane),z轴则沿立管模型轴向向下(如图2所示)。
本文根据海洋温差能发电平台冷海水取水管实际工程参数,采用傅汝德相似(λ=46.4)获取的试验模型,参数如表1所示。受海洋工程拖曳水池深度的限制,本次试验利用WANG等11提出的动力截断技术,对取水管模型进行截断处理,选择取水管底部张力较小但运动位移较大的部分进行试验模拟。此外,已有试验12和数值研究13发现,当取水管内流流速小于10 m/s时,管内流动对管道涡激振动响应的影响非常小。本次试验所针对的实际温差能平台取水管的内流流速范围远小于10 m/s,因此本实验中将不对管内水流进行模拟,仅考虑内流对管道质量的影响。
试验中,通过光纤光栅应变传感器测量立管的整体动态响应和涡激振动响应,布置方式如图3所示。
面外布置10个应变片,每两个应变片间隔为0.55 m;面内布置12个应变片,间隔为0.46 m。此外,在悬垂管顶端安装三分力传感器,测量管顶部的轴向张力、顺流向阻力和横流向升力。试验中,动态应变以及顶部张力信息被同步采集,采样频率为250 Hz。
采用有限元方法对悬垂取水管试验模型进行模态分析,所得前6阶固有频率如表2所示。
本节首先针对平台简谐运动下的悬垂管涡激振动响应幅值和周期进行分析,所选工况对应2个最大速度和3个KC数,具体试验工况如表3所示。平台单自由度简谐运动引发的涡激振动可以看作是作用在立管上的简谐振荡流,采用KC数和最大振荡速度来表示平台运动情况,KC数定义如下:

为了分析平台运动面外的涡激振动响应,对两组试验工况中的测量响应应变进行比较。涡激振动应变可以通过下式计算:
图4为平台运动引起的平面外涡激振动响应时空分布图,在每组图中,第一个为顶部平台运动时历,第二个为测量应变随时间变化的情况。fim为平台顶部运动频率,图中颜色表示瞬时应变幅值。为了方便对比观察不同工况下的应变响应情况,每组图的颜色范围相同。
测量应变结果表明实测的面外应变具有较强的周期性,当振动方向发生改变时,模型位于上一个运动周期诱发的泄涡中,悬垂管产生自上向下传递的行波,如图4中黑色箭头所示。从每个子图中可以发现面外涡激振动响应阶数主要受平台最大振荡速度影响,最大振荡速度为0.27 m/s时,面外涡激振动响应为2阶;平台最大振荡速度为0.40 m/s时,面外涡激振动响应为3阶。
图5为两组试验工况面外涡激振动应变最大值及有效值统计结果,对同组的三个试验工况进行对比分析可以发现:
(1)A组试验结果中,大KC数工况下涡激振动响应比小KC数工况的响应大。此结果与以往刚性圆柱模型振荡流下的涡激振动试验现象结果7不同。刚性圆柱模型试验中小KC数工况下的涡激振动响应应变均方根值将略大于相同最大流速的大KC数工况。出现此种差异可能是由于两种试验KC数分布不同导致的:对于刚性圆柱试验,KC数在整个试验管上均匀分布,此时小KC数下涡激振动响应时间变化较小,响应结果较稳定;而悬垂取水管底部无约束,在顶部平台运动作用下沿管长方向的KC数分布在整个结构上则略有差异,如图6所示。
(2)B组中紫色和蓝色虚线所示为最大振荡速度为0.40 m/s,KC数分别为38.57和57.84两种工况,两种工况下的响应RMS结果基本相同,这表明此时平台运动最大速度对诱导的涡激振动起主导作用。在KC数为57.84和38.75时,KC数对涡激振动应变幅值的影响较小。当KC数继续降低至19.28时,可明显看到应变幅值小于大KC数工况,此时运动行程较短,涡激振动发展不完全,悬垂管面外涡激振动响应规律与A组一致。
通过傅里叶变换得到各测点平均后的结构整体振动响应的频谱结果:
式中  为测点响应频谱;N为测点数量。通过傅里叶变化和公式(4)处理后获得各工况下的响应主导频率,如图7所示,结果表明悬垂管面外涡激振动呈现多模态响应特征。
(1)同一最大振荡速度下,大KC数工况(KC=57.83)响应主导频率在悬垂管固有频率附近,如图7(a),(d)所示,平台运动最大速度为0.27 m/s时,振动响应主导阶数为2阶,响应主导频率为1.07 Hz(2阶固有频率为0.99 Hz);平台运动最大速度为0.40 m/s时,振动响应主导阶数为2阶,响应主导频率为1.84 Hz(三阶固有频率为1.85 Hz)。这一结果表明大KC数下,影响面外涡激振动主要响应频率的为平台最大振荡速度。平台运动下悬垂取水管响应主导频率并不与固有频率完全相等,这是因为平台运动时,悬垂管的附加质量系数随平台运动变化,而在进行固有频率数值计算时选取附加质量系数为一恒定值,即Ca=1。
(2)同一最大振荡速度下,小KC数工况(KC=19.28)响应主导频率为平台振荡频率的两倍,这一结果与刚性圆柱试验结果7以及WANG等10的悬垂管试验结果相似。当KC数为38.57,平台运动最大速度为0.27 m/s时,悬垂管响应主导频率为0.95 Hz,为顶部平台振荡频率的两倍;第二主导响应频率为1.07 Hz,接近悬垂管的二阶固有频率。这一试验现象表明,小KC数下多个运动周期产生的泄涡共同作用在悬垂管上导致面外响应频率与顶部平台振荡频率强相关,随着顶部运动KC数增大(KC=38.75),响应主导频率为顶部平台振荡频率的两倍和固有频率相互竞争的结果。
(3)悬垂管的面外涡激振动响应呈现多频特性,振动由多个频率共同影响。
上节分析了顶部平台在单自由度简谐运动下的响应特性,试验结果与WANG等10的结论相似,证明本次试验结果可靠。本节将进一步开展顶部平台三自由度不规则运动下悬垂管的响应特性研究,探讨平台不规则运动下悬垂管是否会存在涡激振动,试验工况如表4所示。
本节通过数值计算模拟尺度温差能设计平台在一年一遇及百年一遇海况下横荡、纵荡、垂荡响应时历,该时历为立管顶端运动时历,并通过WANG等11提出的动力截断技术获得试验中施加在模型顶端的运动时历,如图8所示。
同样的,将此外部激励施加在Orcaflex数值模型顶部,数值计算模型和悬垂管试验参数模型保持一致,具体参数如表5所示。其中,Ca=1.0,Cd=1.2,是柔性细长结构水动力计算中的规范推荐值;结构阻尼比为1.64%,为模型空气自由衰减测量值。本文对试验中平台三自由度运动工况进行了模拟,并将数值计算所得悬垂管的总体动力响应结果与试验数据进行对比,探讨平台不规则运动下涡激振动对悬垂管响应产生的影响,具体流程如图9所示。
图1011为顶部平台三自由度运动下x方向的响应应变沿管长分布情况。结果显示:
(1)由于涡激振动的影响,试验测量应变明显不同于数值计算结果。
(2)由于试验中阻力系数和附加质量系数沿管长方向变化,试验测量应变有效值与数值计算结果的差值沿管长分布不同。
进一步分析两种三自由度不规则工况下数值计算和试验测量中悬垂管x方向的运动响应频率,图12~15表明平台在作业海况下运动时,数值计算与试验测量的悬垂管主要响应频率成分相同;平台在作业海况下运动时,试验中悬垂管在4~5 Hz附近存在高频响应,如图13黑色圈中所示;平台在极限海况下运动时,试验中悬垂管在1.0 Hz附近有明显不同于数值计算结果的频率被激发。这些与数值计算不同的频率成分可能由涡激振动产生。
疲劳损伤是海洋立管结构破坏的主要因素,根据Miner-Palmgren假说,疲劳损伤的累积来自不同振幅的应力时程,在以下情况下发生断裂:
式中  为范围为的应力循环次数;对应的疲劳损伤循环次数。由S-N曲线中应力范围和循环次数之间的关系,一个应力循环造成的疲劳损伤可以写为:
式中  为平均应力。
应用雨流计数法识别试验及数值模拟过程中的应力幅值及对应的循环次数,其计算步骤如下:
(1)对试验数据进行处理,获取数值计算中的波致弯曲应力时程和模型试验中波致-涡激耦合弯曲应力时程。
(2)应用雨流计数法识别应力时程中的应力循环。
(3)根据识别的应力循环次数和S-N曲线计算疲劳损伤。
疲劳损伤计算参数参照WANG等14的试验选取,具体选取参数如表6所示。
本文选择常规疲劳计算中考虑的作业海况,分析试验测量疲劳损伤与数值模拟的结果,如图16所示。
结果表明,平台在作业海况下运动所诱发的悬垂取水管涡激振动会明显增大悬垂管疲劳损伤,最大疲劳损伤约为数值计算结果的5.53倍,在设计过程中不可忽略。
本文开展了平台多自由度运动下悬垂管涡激振动响应特性试验研究,研究关键参数KC数和最大振荡速度对平台单自由度简谐运动下悬垂管涡激振动的影响;研究平台多自由度运动下涡激振动对悬垂管的疲劳寿命影响。所得结论如下:
(1)针对平台单自由度简谐运动下的悬垂管涡激振动,试验结果表明,KC数和平台振荡最大速度是影响悬垂管响应特性的主要参数:小KC数下,悬垂管的面外涡激振动受上一个运动周期的尾流影响,响应主导频率为平台振荡频率的两倍,与已有的试验结果相同,证明本次试验结果可信;当KC数较大时,平台最大振荡速度是影响涡激振动响应阶数的主要参数,此时涡激振动发展更完全,面外响应幅值更大。
(2)在平台三自由度运动下,通过对比试验结果和数值模拟结果发现:三自由度平台运动亦可导致立管诱发高频涡激振动,模型试验疲劳损伤是数值模拟的5.53倍,在设计中不容忽略。
(3)本文通过试验发现,悬垂管在顶部平台运动下,KC数和振荡速度是影响立管涡激振动的关键参数,但尚未得出一些普遍性应用数据,后续应该开展更加密集的试验,讨论KC数和振荡速度与立管振动频率之间的关系,为涡激振动预报提供参数输入。同时本文仅研究了静水中平台运动下悬垂管的响应特性,然而实际海洋环境中悬垂管受到流体和平台运动的共同影响,多种环境因素作用下的悬垂管涡激振动响应特性需进一步深入研究。
