The theoretical framework of Hertzian contact model for soft sphere collisions is well-established; however limited research has been done on the collision between rigid particles and elastoplastic materials. In this study,a novel damping form is introduced by incorporating the elastoplastic half-space contact constitutive relationship,and a viscoelastoplastic collision model between hard spherical particles and polyurethane surfaces is established. The nonlinear dynamic equations for particle and elastoplastic surface collision are derived. Furthermore,by conducting experiments to measure the coefficient of restitution for coal pellets colliding with polyurethane,the Meyer's index of the polyurethane material and the damping coefficient in the dynamic equations are determined. Additionally,the correctness of the damping model proposed in this study is validated by considering different damping forms in the equations. The changes in contact force at different stages are analyzed under various damping coefficients. The variations of displacement,velocity,and contact force during the collision process between particles and elastoplastic polyurethane are investigated. The results reveal that with an increase in the initial collision velocity,the irreversible plastic deformation of polyurethane increases from 1.636×10-4 m to 5.657×10-4 m,the coefficient of restitution decreases from 0.583 2 to 0.501 2,the collision time decreases from 6.963×10-4 s to 4.737×10-4 s,and the proportion of plastic compression stage decreases from 59.81% to 59.04%.The model established in this paper can be used in scenarios where particles collide with softer planes,such as the separation of metal ores and particle dampers. This paper provides theoretical support for the transportation,collision,impact,and separation of particle systems.

为进一步加强Hertz软球碰撞模型中刚性颗粒与弹塑性材料碰撞的相关研究,利用弹塑性半平面接触本构关系,引入一种新的阻尼形式,建立了硬球颗粒‑聚氨酯平面的黏弹塑性碰撞模型,并推导出颗粒与弹塑性平面碰撞的非线性动力学方程。首先,通过测定球形煤精颗粒碰撞聚氨酯恢复系数实验,确定了所用聚氨酯材料的Meyer指数与动力学方程中的阻尼系数;其次,在方程中考虑不同的阻尼形式,对比证明了所提阻尼模型的正确性;然后,分析了不同阻尼系数下,不同阶段接触力的变化机理;最后,探讨了颗粒与弹塑性聚氨酯碰撞过程中位移、速度及接触力的变化规律。研究发现:随着初始碰撞速度的增加,聚氨酯不可恢复的塑性变形量由1.636×10-4 m增加至5.657×10-4 m,颗粒恢复系数由0.583 2降至0.501 2,碰撞时间由6.963×10-4 s降至4.737×10-4 s,塑性压缩阶段的占比由59.81%降至59.04%;所建立的模型可用于颗粒与较软平面碰撞的场景,为颗粒系统的输送、碰撞、冲击和分离提供了理论支撑。

为进一步加强Hertz软球碰撞模型中刚性颗粒与弹塑性材料碰撞的相关研究,利用弹塑性半平面接触本构关系,引入一种新的阻尼形式,建立了硬球颗粒‑聚氨酯平面的黏弹塑性碰撞模型,并推导出颗粒与弹塑性平面碰撞的非线性动力学方程。首先,通过测定球形煤精颗粒碰撞聚氨酯恢复系数实验,确定了所用聚氨酯材料的Meyer指数与动力学方程中的阻尼系数;其次,在方程中考虑不同的阻尼形式,对比证明了所提阻尼模型的正确性;然后,分析了不同阻尼系数下,不同阶段接触力的变化机理;最后,探讨了颗粒与弹塑性聚氨酯碰撞过程中位移、速度及接触力的变化规律。研究发现:随着初始碰撞速度的增加,聚氨酯不可恢复的塑性变形量由1.636×10-4 m增加至5.657×10-4 m,颗粒恢复系数由0.583 2降至0.501 2,碰撞时间由6.963×10-4 s降至4.737×10-4 s,塑性压缩阶段的占比由59.81%降至59.04%;所建立的模型可用于颗粒与较软平面碰撞的场景,为颗粒系统的输送、碰撞、冲击和分离提供了理论支撑。

The theoretical framework of Hertzian contact model for soft sphere collisions is well-established; however limited research has been done on the collision between rigid particles and elastoplastic materials. In this study,a novel damping form is introduced by incorporating the elastoplastic half-space contact constitutive relationship,and a viscoelastoplastic collision model between hard spherical particles and polyurethane surfaces is established. The nonlinear dynamic equations for particle and elastoplastic surface collision are derived. Furthermore,by conducting experiments to measure the coefficient of restitution for coal pellets colliding with polyurethane,the Meyer's index of the polyurethane material and the damping coefficient in the dynamic equations are determined. Additionally,the correctness of the damping model proposed in this study is validated by considering different damping forms in the equations. The changes in contact force at different stages are analyzed under various damping coefficients. The variations of displacement,velocity,and contact force during the collision process between particles and elastoplastic polyurethane are investigated. The results reveal that with an increase in the initial collision velocity,the irreversible plastic deformation of polyurethane increases from 1.636×10-4 m to 5.657×10-4 m,the coefficient of restitution decreases from 0.583 2 to 0.501 2,the collision time decreases from 6.963×10-4 s to 4.737×10-4 s,and the proportion of plastic compression stage decreases from 59.81% to 59.04%.The model established in this paper can be used in scenarios where particles collide with softer planes,such as the separation of metal ores and particle dampers. This paper provides theoretical support for the transportation,collision,impact,and separation of particle systems.

接触碰撞现象广泛存在于自然界及工业生产的多体动力系统之中,这类现象的共同点是接触时间很短,峰值接触力大,并且根据碰撞速度变化伴随有能量损失。接触碰撞过程模型对研究这类多体动力系统有非常重要的意义。
Hertz基于弹性力学理论提出了两弹性圆球接触力学模型,基于此,很多学者对弹性球形颗粒的接触与碰撞过程进行了研究。Hunt等1考虑颗粒的黏性,提出了颗粒接触的黏弹性模型。针对该模型,大量的黏滞阻尼计算公式被推导出来,并形成了很多变式。这些研究认为,颗粒在碰撞过程中的能量损失来自黏滞阻尼,导致碰撞后的相对速度降低24,并可以根据碰撞前后的相对速度计算出恢复系数。一般颗粒碰撞的恢复系数介于0~1之间,恢复系数越小碰撞过程中的能量损失越大。对于较硬的球体如钢球、硬质塑料球等,其碰撞的恢复系数一般接近于1。大部分的黏弹性接触模型更适用于恢复系数较高的场景5
黏弹颗粒碰撞模型通常由Hertz基础弹性模型和黏滞阻尼两部分组成。其中,建立黏滞阻尼的方法有2种:①基于能量原理,通过已知的恢复系数或者能量损失逆推得到动力系统的黏滞阻尼26;②可根据经验法获得颗粒碰撞系统的结构阻尼,并将该结构阻尼加入到颗粒碰撞系统的动力学方程中78
对于颗粒在高速下的碰撞,一些研究认为颗粒碰撞的能量损失来源于颗粒的塑性变形,即弹塑性变形的本构关系910。在该本构关系中,颗粒碰撞过程分为3个阶段,即弹性压缩阶段、弹塑性压缩阶段和弹性恢复阶段11。在弹性压缩阶段与弹性恢复阶段,颗粒变形的力‑位移关系满足Hertz接触理论;但在弹塑性压缩阶段,颗粒发生大变形,导致颗粒出现塑性变形,且塑性变形区的压应力与材料的抗压强度有关1112
上述理论描述了两球形颗粒之间的碰撞行为,认为能量损失发生在颗粒的碰撞过程中。在现实场景中,颗粒的碰撞不仅仅发生在颗粒之间,也发生在颗粒与其他材料之间,如颗粒的筛分系统1314、颗粒阻尼器15等。振动筛分设备常用的筛面材料有金属刚性筛面和聚氨酯弹塑性筛面。在振动筛分过程中,不仅颗粒与颗粒之间会发生碰撞,并且颗粒也会与筛面碰撞。此时,基于Hertz软球接触模型就不再适用,因为Hertz模型仅适用于计算颗粒之间的变形及受力,当颗粒与其他软介质碰撞时,颗粒基本不变形而软介质会发生大变形。因此,需要建立新的碰撞模型计算颗粒与软介质的碰撞过程。在压痕领域,已有关于不同形状的硬压头压入不同弹性平面的静力学关系的研究,这类研究一般集中在被测构件的力学性能方面1617
本研究聚焦硬球颗粒与弹塑性平面的碰撞与动力学问题,建立了硬球颗粒与弹塑性平面的接触模型,推导了颗粒在该半平面上的动力学方程。开展了煤精颗粒与弹塑性聚氨酯平面之间的碰撞实验,获得了恢复系数和碰撞时间,确定了聚氨酯材料的Meyer指数与动力学方程中的阻尼系数,验证了动力学模型的正确性。在此基础上,研究了初始碰撞参数变化下硬球颗粒‑弹塑性聚氨酯平面系统的动力特性。
由于硬球颗粒的弹性模量与聚氨酯的弹性模量相差很大,因此可以忽略煤精颗粒的弹性变形,将煤精颗粒视为刚体,并将聚氨酯视为弹塑性体。本研究中,煤精颗粒不变形,聚氨酯平面仅有塑性变形和弹性变形,因此煤炭颗粒与聚氨酯块的碰撞过程可以分为2个阶段,即聚氨酯的塑性压缩阶段与弹性恢复阶段。硬球颗粒和弹塑性平面接触示意图如图1所示。其中:Rp为球形颗粒的半径;R为接触区域的半径;w为颗粒与平面的相对位移。
这里仅考虑粒度较小的颗粒与聚氨酯块的碰撞过程。因为在实际工程中聚氨酯块的厚薄不一,而厚度对碰撞过程的影响非常复杂且不具备统一性,所以将煤精颗粒视为小粒度的球形颗粒,将聚氨酯块视为无限半平面的弹塑性空间来简化计算。结合压痕领域中压痕深度与压头受力的关系,并推广到弹塑性领域,则有1618

基于上述弹塑性接触本构关系,以球形颗粒为研究对象,可建立颗粒‑弹塑性聚氨酯平面碰撞动力学模型,如图2所示。该动力学模型中,y方向垂直接触面向下,接触面与水平面平行,颗粒的位移为yp。假设当颗粒接触到聚氨酯平面的瞬间yp=0,则碰撞过程中聚氨酯接触区域的凹陷位移与颗粒的位移一致,即yp=w,颗粒的质量为m
根据上述力‑位移关系,可建立颗粒碰撞聚氨酯平面动力学方程。一般情况下,碰撞过程还需加入阻尼力的作用。由于阻尼项与碰撞速度和接触区域面积呈正相关,因此借鉴上述阻尼模型,提出黏弹塑性碰撞过程中的阻尼力形式为

对于具体的碰撞实例,需要通过测定颗粒碰撞的恢复系数来标定系统中的Meyer指数n与阻尼系数c。笔者选用70 HA硬度的聚氨酯圆柱体与煤精球形颗粒作为实验对象,并搭建了测定恢复系数的高速摄像实验系统,如图3所示。
实验步骤如下:
1) 调整煤精颗粒的下落高度,预控制颗粒与聚氨酯碰撞的初始速度;
2) 打开高速摄像机,开始拍摄;
3) 使煤精颗粒自由下落,捕捉关键碰撞帧;
4) 使用数据采集软件截取碰撞过程,并计算恢复系数大小。
在实验中,截取了4.9 mm半径颗粒碰撞聚氨酯平面的关键瞬间,如图4所示。
本实验采用的聚氨酯与煤精颗粒参数见表1

使用上述实验系统,测得5组不同碰撞初始速度下3种煤精颗粒碰撞聚氨酯平面的恢复系数。煤精颗粒恢复系数见表3。煤精颗粒碰撞过程帧数见表4
使用表3中的恢复系数数据和碰撞动力学方程,采用最小二乘法可以拟合得到动力学方程中的Meyer指数与阻尼系数。拟合得到的聚氨酯Meyer指数与阻尼系数见表5。使用表3中的实验数据分别与理论拟合结果进行对比。
为验证碰撞动力学模型的正确性与准确度,绘出表5参数下的理论恢复系数曲线并与实验数据进行对比,如图5所示。由图可知:在本研究动力学模型下,恢复系数曲线拟合准确性较好。当碰撞初始速度增加时,恢复系数逐渐减小;粒度对恢复系数的影响较小,3种半径颗粒的恢复系数在碰撞初始速度较小时相对接近;随着碰撞初始速度的增加,大颗粒的恢复系数降低速率更大。
图6给出了不同碰撞速度下3种半径颗粒的碰撞总时间。由图可知,半径更大的颗粒碰撞时间更长,同径颗粒的碰撞时间会随碰撞初始速度的增大而减少。因此,颗粒的最大接触力会随碰撞速度的增加呈指数性增大。
为了证明本研究中阻尼模型的正确性,笔者采用了其他文献中的黏弹性阻尼模型,并将其替换到所提出的动力学方程中。使用的典型阻尼模型见表6。一般碰撞模型中的阻尼可以分为普通线性阻尼19、结构阻尼78和由能量损失确定的阻尼2022。线性阻尼和结构阻尼一般是根据经验选取,由能量损失确定的阻尼则由两球形颗粒的碰撞结果推导而得。为了与本研究中的阻尼模型进行对比,绘出不同阻尼模型下4.9 mm半径煤精颗粒恢复系数曲线的理论与实验数据对比图,如图7所示。由图可知,本研究中的阻尼模型拟合结果更贴近实验值,并且更适用于球形颗粒与平面相碰撞的场景。
为研究颗粒与聚氨酯平面的碰撞过程,选取4.9 mm半径的煤精颗粒作为研究对象,分析不同初始参数下颗粒碰撞的动力学特性。
图8为阻尼对系统恢复系数的影响对比图。在无阻尼的情况下,颗粒与聚氨酯平面之间仅有弹塑性接触力,此时恢复系数随碰撞初始速度的增加而缓慢增加,其曲率趋向于1条直线。当阻尼作用后,其趋势与图5一致。可知,当碰撞初始速度较小时,弹塑性接触对碰撞系统的能量损失影响较大,随着碰撞初始速度的增加,阻尼逐渐占据主导作用。因此,在这类碰撞中应该同时考虑弹塑性接触与阻尼的影响。
为进一步分析阻尼对颗粒‑聚氨酯平面碰撞过程的影响,图9给出了不同阻尼系数下聚氨酯凹陷距离与接触力的关系。由图可知:当无阻尼作用时,压缩阶段与恢复阶段的转折点曲率急剧变化,阶段变迁过程并不平滑,与现实碰撞不符;当加入阻尼作用后,突变点消失,并且随阻尼系数的增加,最大接触力逐渐减小且压缩阶段与恢复阶段的变迁过程更加顺畅;阻尼系数的增加会使聚氨酯上不可恢复的变形量缓慢增加且影响很小。
图10为聚氨酯凹陷距离的时域变化曲线。其中,最大凹陷处为压缩阶段与恢复阶段之间的转折点,最后曲线结束点的凹陷位移即为聚氨酯平面不可恢复的变形量。在碰撞初始速度逐渐从1 m/s增加至5 m/s过程中,最大变形量分别为2.737×10-4、4.555×10-4、6.109×10-4、7.509×10-4和8.8×10-4m,不可变形量分别为1.636×10-4、2.793×10-4、3.819×10-4、4.765×10-4和5.657×10-4 m,分别占最大变形量的59.77%、61.32%、62.51%、63.34%和64.28。不可恢复的变形量随着碰撞初始速度的增加而增加,但增幅越来越小,其对总变形量的占比会慢慢增加。碰撞总时间随着速度的增加呈非线性减小,由6.963×10-4 s降至4.737×10-4 s。
图11为颗粒碰撞速度时域变化曲线,其最后速度值与初始值比值的绝对值即为颗粒的恢复系数。当颗粒速度达到最大凹陷处前,颗粒的加速度与接触力达到最大,这说明最大接触力作用在颗粒的压缩阶段。
图12为接触力的时域变化曲线。由图可知,接触力达到最大时与速度为0不发生在同一时刻。对比文献[23],本研究的接触力变化相对更为平滑,在压缩阶段用时更长,而恢复阶段用时较短。这是因为笔者考虑了碰撞过程中的塑性变形损耗,与黏弹性阻尼模型不同,塑性变形并不同时发生在压缩与恢复阶段。由图10可以看出,塑性压缩阶段的接触时间分别为4.165×10-4 s(1 m/s)、3.521×10-4 s(2 m/s)、3.181×10-4 s(3 m/s)、2.956×10-4 s(4 m/s)和2.797×10-4 s(5 m/s),分别占总碰撞时间的59.81%、59.53%、59.28%、59.07%和59.04%。
凹陷位移与接触力的关系如图13所示。由图可知,在压缩阶段颗粒与聚氨酯平面的接触刚度更小,在最大凹陷出现后恢复阶段的接触力更大。当接触力为0时,凹陷位移的大小即为不可恢复的变形量。此外,接触刚度会随着碰撞初始速度的增加而增大。与文献[20]中的位移‑力曲线相比,考虑包含滞后阻尼作用的黏弹性模型在最后的接触末端刚度趋向于0,在曲线上形成了近似横向的直线并与x轴相近。由于这种方法没有考虑塑性影响,因此尽管能量损失很大,也不会留下不可恢复的变形量,其位移均回归至零点。
1) 针对刚性球形颗粒碰撞弹塑性平面问题,建立了黏弹塑性动力学模型,并通过实验验证了该模型的正确性。在实验中,恢复系数随着碰撞初始速度的增加而减小,4.9 mm半径颗粒的恢复系数由0.583 2降至0.501 2,且降幅越来越小。
2) 与黏弹性模型不同,本研究方法可以根据初始参数计算出恢复系数和碰撞过程中的响应,而黏弹性变形理论需要在初始条件中加入恢复系数才能计算出系统的响应。
3) 本研究中的能量损失来源于塑性变形与阻尼的联合作用,在低碰撞初始速度下塑性变形带来的能量损失更大,高速时则是阻尼对系统的能量损失影响更大。
4) 随着初始碰撞速度的增加,聚氨酯不可恢复的塑性变形量由1.636×10-4 m增加至5.657×10-4 m,颗粒恢复系数由0.583 2降至0.501 2,碰撞时间由6.963×10-4 s降至4.737×10-4 s。
