The safety of uranium tailings pond is especially important, while static and dynamic mechanical characteristic of uranium tailings is the basement of safety analysis and evaluation of tailings pond. This paper took one of southern uranium tailings pond as research target, and by means of function fitting and picturizing, systematically studied the regularity of space-time distribution of uranium tailings layers, as well as transformation law and inner mechanism of physical, mechanical and dynamic characteristic of uranium tailings, including indexes such as density, void ratio, coefficient of consolidation, filtration coefficient, internal friction angle, cohesion, dynamic modulus of elasticity, dynamic shear modulus and damping ratio. The result can provide an important guiding significance for the construction, operation and safety analysis of uranium tailings pond.

铀尾矿库的安全至关重要,铀尾矿的静动力学特性是进行尾矿库设计和安全分析评价的基础。以中国南方某铀尾矿库为研究对象,通过对现场钻探和室内试验数据进行函数拟合化和图像化分析,系统研究了该铀尾矿库地层的时空分布规律,以及密度、孔隙比、固结系数、渗透系数、内摩擦角、粘聚力、动弹性模量、动剪切模量、阻尼比等铀尾矿物理力学及动力特性的变化规律和内在机理,研究成果可为铀尾矿库的安全分析和安全运行提供指导。

The safety of uranium tailings pond is especially important, while static and dynamic mechanical characteristic of uranium tailings is the basement of safety analysis and evaluation of tailings pond. This paper took one of southern uranium tailings pond as research target, and by means of function fitting and picturizing, systematically studied the regularity of space-time distribution of uranium tailings layers, as well as transformation law and inner mechanism of physical, mechanical and dynamic characteristic of uranium tailings, including indexes such as density, void ratio, coefficient of consolidation, filtration coefficient, internal friction angle, cohesion, dynamic modulus of elasticity, dynamic shear modulus and damping ratio. The result can provide an important guiding significance for the construction, operation and safety analysis of uranium tailings pond.

铀尾矿库是贮存铀水冶厂尾矿浆中矿砂和矿泥的专用设施,是铀矿山的重要基础性工程。根据《中华人民共和国放射性污染防治法》,铀尾矿库作为放射性废物的处置设施,按照核设施进行监督管理。铀尾矿(渣)中存在的铀、钍、镭等放射性核素,以及重金属等有害化学元素,可能通过大气降雨、风蚀等途径迁移、扩散而造成水体和土壤污染[1]。尾矿库是一个具有高势能的人造泥石流危险源,一旦发生溃坝事故,将产生巨大冲击力和破坏力[2]。铀尾矿库的设计标准高于同规模其他行业尾矿库的设计标准,以确保其在运行、退役、维护的各阶段的安全要求。
中国的铀尾矿处置绝大多数是采用水力输送的“湿法”及“上游筑坝法”[3],且很多铀尾矿库修建年代早、运行时间长。由于早期尾矿排放不规范、放矿布置不均匀以及生产过程中矿石特性、水冶工艺参数变化等,导致尾矿库内铀尾矿分层厚度及范围不均,尾矿特性各向异性。因此,尾矿库内尾矿的强度、压缩及渗流等特性随尾矿类型、沉积时间和空间的变化而变化,各参数归一性弱、差异性强、变化规律复杂。
尾矿库内铀尾矿时空分布特征和物理力学特性是进行渗流分析、坝体稳定分析和溃坝灾害模拟等工作的基础,是保证尾矿库长期安全稳定的重要基石,因此有必要研究铀尾矿坝多维、多相、多层次工程表征,分析铀尾矿坝多维演化规律、多相相互作用[4],以全面了解和掌握铀尾矿的静力及动力特性。前人对黑色及有色金属行业尾矿砂的沉积、静力及动力特性等的研究较多[5-13];而对铀尾矿砂的物理力学特性研究较少[14-15]。笔者以中国南方某铀尾矿库内沉积的铀尾矿为研究对象,分析铀尾矿固结、渗透及其静动力学指标的变化规律和影响因素。
某铀尾矿库位于江西省,属山谷型尾矿库,于1973年投入使用。尾矿库由初期坝和尾矿堆积坝组成,初期坝为碾压式均质土坝,坝顶标高为125 m,坝高约25 m,初期坝内坡坡比为1∶2.5,坝外坡坡比为1∶2~1∶2.5。初期坝堆满后采用尾矿堆积筑坝,尾矿堆积坝坡坡度为1∶3.5,设计一期尾矿堆积坝最终堆积标高为155 m,该尾矿库采用排洪井管及隧洞排泄库内暴雨洪水。
在尾矿库投入使用初期,在南侧支沟尾部排矿,在初期坝前排水,造成了粗粒尾砂沉积在南沟库尾,细粒尾矿泥沉积在初期坝前;后改为自初期坝顶进行放矿,1980年尾矿库开始堆筑第一道子坝,此时坝前沉积的细粒尾矿泥层厚度已达22 m。由于初期坝前沉积的尾矿泥含水量高、孔隙比大、强度低、灵敏度高,不利于后期尾矿堆积筑坝的安全稳定。1988年对尾矿坝进行了加固整治,对初期坝及尾矿堆积坝外坡采用块石进行了反压。2006年,对尾矿库坝体进行了整治加固并完善了排渗设施。2012年以来,该尾矿库先后开展了新建左侧山体鞍部副坝、排洪设施加固、坝坡整治的工程并安装了在线监测设施,确保尾矿库的安全稳定运行。目前该尾矿库堆积坝顶标高约153 m,尾矿库现状坝体及滩面见图1
为进一步查明尾矿库内地层分布情况,2020年在尾矿库内采用钻孔与原位测试相结合的方法,开展了现场钻孔取样等工作。根据尾矿库原始地形及生产运行期间尾矿排放情况,在靠近坝体部分,按40~80 m间距布置勘探孔;在滩面部分,根据距离坝顶放矿口的位置按40~200 m间距布置勘探孔。尾矿库滩面及坝体共布设41个勘探孔,相关钻孔取样及原位试验工作见表1,勘察钻孔及勘察剖面布置见图2
根据现场钻孔取样试验成果,尾矿库坝体部分主要分为4层,自上至下分别是尾细砂①层、尾黏土②层、尾细砂③层、尾黏土④层,根据土层勘察数据得到该尾矿库土层分布典型剖面(图3),并绘制尾矿库范围内各土层的厚度分布云图(图4)。可以看出,尾细砂①层主要集中分布在靠近堆积坝顶附近的尾矿滩面区域,其厚度自堆积坝顶内侧约106 m位置向上下游方向快速辐射衰减,深度范围为4.5~10.7 m;尾黏土②层主要分布在堆积坝内侧约100 m的上游滩面及南北两侧支沟内,分布范围较尾细砂①层广泛,且南侧支沟内的平均分布厚度大于北侧支沟,深度范围为2.6~12.0 m;尾细砂③层集中分布在初期坝顶以上的尾矿堆积坝坡、坝顶及坝顶附近滩面区域,土层厚度呈椭圆状向四周辐射衰减,深度范围2.4~31.7 m;尾黏土④层为生产初期排入并沉积,其分布范围较前3个土层更为广泛,该土层分布基本覆盖整个库区,深度范围为0.8~36.2 m。
该铀尾矿库堆积坝体各土层整体呈现坝体区域较粗、库内滩面区域较细的分布规律,除局部存在尾矿泥夹层外,从初期坝至尾矿堆积坝顶上游100~150 m内的尾矿坝体基本由颗粒较粗的尾砂构成,颗粒较细的尾黏土沉积在库内上游区域,基本符合典型的上游式尾矿库粗细颗粒土层分布规律。坝体区域的粒径相对较粗的尾细砂在力学性质上更利于尾矿坝体整体稳定,同时也为上游广泛分布的尾黏土层提供了良好的固结排水通道。
尾矿的密度指标是尾矿坝体设计及稳定性分析的一个重要参数,孔隙比反映了尾矿的密实程度,且对铀尾矿的固结特性和渗透特性等有较大影响。通过对原状土室内试验测得的密度和孔隙比进行散点统计,并采用玻耳兹曼反曲函数对散点结果进行拟合,分别得到铀尾矿的密度和孔隙比的散点拟合曲线(图5图6)。
该铀尾矿库中尾细砂的平均密度为1.71~1.73 t/m3,尾黏土的平均密度为1.34~1.46 t/m3,尾细砂的平均密度显著高于尾黏土的平均密度;尾细砂密度和取样深度无明显相关性,尾黏土密度在地表以下20~30 m内随深度增加呈增大趋势(图5)。尾细砂的平均孔隙比为0.90~0.92,尾黏土的平均孔隙比为2.2~3.5,尾黏土的平均孔隙比是尾细砂的2.5~3.9倍,尾细砂孔隙比和取样深度也无明显相关性,而尾黏土孔隙比则随取样深度增加呈减小趋势(图6)。
为研究铀尾矿取样深度和密度、孔隙比之间的关联关系,绘制气泡图(图7)。尾黏土的密度和孔隙比呈高度正相关,尾黏土的密度越小,孔隙比越大;尾细砂的密度和孔隙比呈现弱正相关,随着尾细砂密度增大,其孔隙比增加幅度有限。造成该现象的原因是尾黏土液限远高于尾细砂液限,具有很高的持水能力,在不同的外应力作用下,由于固结效果差异,会使尾黏土孔隙比产生较大的变化;而尾细砂因黏粒含量较少,渗透性能相对较好,持水能力较弱,宏观表征即为孔隙比相对较小,且对外应力的作用不敏感,其孔隙比一般小于1.0。
固结系数可反映铀尾矿孔压变化速率,是计算尾矿固结时间的关键参数。通过室内试验测定了下部尾细砂③层和尾黏土④层在100、200和400 kPa外荷载作用下的垂直和水平固结系数,根据测定结果绘制了拟合曲线(图8)。
在外加荷载作用下,尾细砂层的垂直和水平固结系数基本均随取样深度的增加而呈现一定程度的增大趋势,而尾黏土层的垂直和水平固结系数则基本不会随着取样深度的增加而发生改变。
尾细砂的垂直和水平固结系数均明显大于尾黏土的固结系数,且同一土层的垂直和水平固结系数相差不大。尾细砂的固结系数约为尾黏土固结系数的3~9倍。随着外加荷载的增大,尾细砂的垂直固结系数呈现减小的趋势,尾细砂的水平固结系数呈现增大的趋势,而尾黏土的垂直和水平固结系数均变化不明显。
尾矿渗透系数是影响尾矿库渗流稳定和坝体固结排水速度的重要参数,室内试验对尾细砂层和尾黏土层的垂直和水平渗透系数进行了测定,尾细砂和尾黏土的渗透系数变化曲线见图9~图10
本次试验在不同外加荷载作用下,尾细砂渗透系数的变化范围为4.46×10-6~3.28×10-4cm,属于弱透水-微透水土层;尾黏土渗透系数为8.0×10-8~3.13×10-6cm,属于微透水-极微透水土层。尾细砂③层渗透系数随着外加荷载的增大而显著下降,这是由于尾细砂土体结构在外力作用下被挤密变形,过水通道缩窄,渗透性随之下降。尾黏土④层渗透系数在外力荷载作用下呈现波动较为剧烈、总体趋小的变化规律,且水平渗透系数普遍略大于垂直渗透系数,尾黏土部分保留了分层特征,其水平向排水通道的排水能力优于垂直向通道。
铀尾矿静力学特性主要包括内摩擦角和粘聚力指标,室内试验开展了尾细砂和尾黏土的直剪试验,试验结果见图11~图12
尾细砂和尾黏土的粘聚力均随附加荷载的增大而显著增大,在加载周期内(0~1 200 kPa),尾细砂粘聚力的增加幅度达3~7倍,尾黏土粘聚力的增加幅度达4~19倍。尾砂层粘聚力的变化曲线接近幂函数曲线形式,尾黏土层粘聚力的变化曲线接近指数函数曲线形式。
相比之下,各尾矿层内摩擦角无明显的变化规律。浅层尾细砂(H=5.0 m)的内摩擦角变化近似为开口向上的幂曲线,在400 kPa左右达到最小值;深层尾细砂(H=12.0 m)的内摩擦角变化近似为对数形式的上升曲线,在200 kPa左右达到极值,此后曲线趋于水平。而尾黏土的内摩擦角变化则呈不规则的折线,总体上呈略上升趋势。可见尾细砂的内摩擦角对外界荷载变化更敏感,同时前期固结压力也是影响其试验表现的重要因素。
浅层尾细砂的前期固结压力较小,且孔隙率较大,随着外界荷载的增大,其土体结构被压缩,颗粒间的联系更加紧密,粘聚力随之增强,摩擦角随之增大。当荷载达到400 kPa左右,前期固结压力形成的土体结构受到破坏,但土体仍处于压缩状态,土粒间距一直在变小,粘聚力仍会增大,摩擦角则随土体结构强度的折损而显著减小。再次加大荷载后,土体结构得到一定程度的重构,于是土体内摩擦角又呈增大趋势。深层尾细砂由于前期固结压力较大,土颗粒之间的联接嵌咬程度远比浅层尾细砂高,土体结构强度也更大,能够承受更大外荷载,土体结构在破坏前即已完成了结构强化和重构,因此其内摩擦角曲线没有明显的下降拐点。
对于尾黏土,由于缺少尾细砂的粗颗粒骨架结构,土粒之间的咬合挤嵌作用不明显,其土体强度基础以黏粒之间的粘聚力为主。当外加荷载增大时,尾黏土试样中的孔隙减少,土体受到压缩,黏粒间距随之变小,土体粘聚力则随之增大;而土体内摩擦涉及的滑动摩擦阻力有少量增加,咬合摩擦在尾黏土中发挥作用则十分有限,因此室内试验即表现为尾黏土内摩擦角对外力荷载不敏感的特征。
在尾矿库现场选取了24组原状尾矿砂试样,通过室内动三轴试验测定了包括动弹性模量、动剪切模量、阻尼比等尾矿动力特性。
动弹性模量及动剪切模量随深度的变化曲线见图13~图14
在3.0~10.0 m内,尾矿砂动弹性模量呈现剧烈的跳动,上下峰值比接近4倍,最大值达到211.96 MPa,最小值仅为57.43 MPa。动剪切模量与动弹性模量的变化曲线的形状相似度高,动剪切模量的最小值为26 MPa,最大值为58 MPa。由于该铀尾矿库上部尾矿砂沉积不均匀,导致颗粒成分差别较大,加之上部含水率变化较大,进而导致尾矿砂的力学性质差别较大。对于10.0 m深度以下的尾矿砂,由于其固结程度相对较高,颗粒间联结结构更加稳定,因而使得表征尾矿砂力学表现的动弹性模量和动剪切模量等指标变化相对平稳。由此可见,10.0 m深度以上浅层尾砂的力学表现在地震动力的影响下更容易出现畸变特性。
铀尾矿阻尼比随深度的变化曲线见图15。可以看出,在7.5 m深度范围内,尾矿砂阻尼比的变化幅度较大,这是由该深度范围内尾矿砂颗粒分布情况和含水率差异变化较大所导致的。在7.5 m深度左右,尾矿砂阻尼比快速降低,在15.0 m左右又急速升高,但升高后对比峰值仍有一定程度衰减。尾砂底部为颗粒更细的尾矿泥,在粗细颗粒分界部位,地震波传递所需能量发生突变,阻尼比迅速减小。随着深度继续增加,上层土体自重应力使侧向土压不断增大,细颗粒结构经挤密压缩后得到强化,增加了地震波穿越的能量代价,阻尼比随之增大。
通过对中国南方某尾矿库现场钻探和室内试验,对该铀尾矿库土层时空分布和铀尾矿物理力学及动力特性开展研究,得出以下结论:
1)该尾矿库堆积坝体各土层整体呈自坝体向库内滩面由粗变细的分布规律,粒度较细的尾黏土被尾砂区域拦挡在上游区域,符合典型的上游式尾矿库尾矿沉积规律,粒度较粗的颗粒沉积于坝体位置有利于坝体的安全稳定。
2)尾矿的物理指标是其分类的重要依据,部分物理特性指标存在一定的联性。该铀尾矿库内尾细砂平均密度和孔隙比均明显高于尾黏土,尾黏土试样的密度越小,孔隙比越大,尾细砂的密度和孔隙比则呈现弱的正相关性。尾细砂固结系数随取样深度的增加呈一定程度的增大趋势,尾黏土固结系数基本不随取样深度的增加而发生改变;尾细砂的固结系数均明显大于尾黏土,且同一土层的垂直和水平固结系数相差不大。尾细砂层属于弱透水-微透水土层,尾黏土层属于微透水-极微透水土层。该尾矿库内尾细砂和尾黏土的垂直和水平渗透系数分化不明显,并未显示出尾矿分层排放下其水平渗透系数大于垂直渗透系数的通常变化规律。
3)尾矿的静力学特性与坝体的稳定性密切相关,随着附加荷载的增大,库内铀尾细砂和尾黏土粘聚力均随附加荷载的增大而增大,尾黏土内摩擦角总体上呈现上升趋势。
4)尾矿砂动弹性模量和动剪切模量变化规律较为一致,当取样深度超过10 m后,动弹性模量和动剪切模量趋于稳定;当取样深度小于7.5 m时,尾矿砂阻尼比表现出较大的波动,随着取样深度的增加,阻尼比呈现出先减小后增大然后趋于稳定的趋势。
