The ore subjected to radioactive sorting treatment is crushed ore, with random shapes, which directly affects the accuracy of ore grade detection. To enhance the accuracy of radioactive separation detection, standard samples of uranium ore were prepared to conduct an influence test on how the shape of uranium ore affects detection efficiency. The relationship between the ore shape factor and the variation coefficient of detection efficiency was examined, leading to the establishment of a detection efficiency correction algorithm based on ore shape. Additionally, a quantification method for ore shape suitable for uranium ore radioactivity detection was proposed. The validity of the proposed detection efficiency correction algorithm has been verified through practical ore sorting tests. After implementing this algorithm, the error in uranium ore grade detection was reduced to less than 5% in over 70% of the test groups. This significantly mitigates the impact of ore shape on detection efficiency and enhances the accuracy of uranium ore grade detection.

放射性分选处理的矿石为破碎后的矿石,矿石形状随机性大,这会直接影响矿石品位检测的准确度。为提高放射性分选检测的准确度,通过制作铀矿石标准样品,开展铀矿石形状对探测效率的影响试验,探明矿石形状系数与探测效率变化系数的关系,建立基于矿石形状的探测效率修正算法,提出适用于铀矿石放射性检测的矿石形状量化方法。通过实际矿石的分选试验,验证了建立的探测效率修正算法的有效性;使用该算法后,超过70%试验组的铀矿石品位检测误差小于5%,显著降低了矿石形状对探测效率的影响,提高了铀矿石品位检测的准确度。

The ore subjected to radioactive sorting treatment is crushed ore, with random shapes, which directly affects the accuracy of ore grade detection. To enhance the accuracy of radioactive separation detection, standard samples of uranium ore were prepared to conduct an influence test on how the shape of uranium ore affects detection efficiency. The relationship between the ore shape factor and the variation coefficient of detection efficiency was examined, leading to the establishment of a detection efficiency correction algorithm based on ore shape. Additionally, a quantification method for ore shape suitable for uranium ore radioactivity detection was proposed. The validity of the proposed detection efficiency correction algorithm has been verified through practical ore sorting tests. After implementing this algorithm, the error in uranium ore grade detection was reduced to less than 5% in over 70% of the test groups. This significantly mitigates the impact of ore shape on detection efficiency and enhances the accuracy of uranium ore grade detection.

在破碎设备中,矿石与介质接触,通过做功实现矿石粒度减小和矿石形状改变[1]。矿石空间结构、力学性质、破碎设备作用点的不同,导致矿石破碎产品形状随机性较大[2],而矿石颗粒的形状影响物料的运输性、流动性、包装性、可碎性及其他工艺性能[3]。矿石的预选工艺,尤其是放射性分选工艺,涉及到对矿石质量、位置的快速检测,准确识别并量化矿石的形状[4],实现快速修正检测参数,可显著提高检测数据的准确性。
放射性分选技术是一种基于铀矿石天然放射性的块状矿石预富集方法,通过检测放射性强度将有用矿物和脉石矿物分离,该技术可有效提高精矿品位,剔除脉石矿物,显著降低后续处理成本并提高生产效率[5]。放射性分选技术在降低生产成本,建设绿色矿山,保障安全生产等方面均具有显著改善作用[6]。随着科学技术的进步,先进的测量技术、自动化控制技术、智能化技术和强大的计算机处理能力给放射性选矿设备的研发提供了有利条件。放射性分选机的发展呈现出处理量大、分选效率高、分选产品多样化、智能化的发展趋势。在矿石品位计算领域,基于矿石质量对探测效率的修正算法已经相对成熟[7]。然而,由于矿石中铀品位较低且分布不均,即便是相同品位的矿石,也会因形状差异、铀元素分布不均匀等因素,导致探测器检测到的放射性活度存在差异,进而影响探测效率,降低矿石品位计算的准确性。因此,有必要针对矿石形状进行进一步修正,以提高矿石品位检测的准确度。
在铀矿石放射性分选过程中,矿石品位的计算依赖于对矿石质量信息的测定。矿石质量是通过矿石体积与其密度的乘积来确定的,因此,矿石体积检测的准确性对放射性分选的效果起着决定性作用。在颗粒形状的在线测量和自动识别中,通过图像识别技术,划定颗粒的边界,进行最大半径、角度、周长等测量;再通过各参数间灵活计算,得到颗粒的球形度、伸长率、长宽比等,以实现矿石形状的表征。为保证实际工业应用的处理量,普遍采用光学检测方法对皮带上高速运动矿石的形状进行识别[8-9],即通过相机拍摄矿石,分析测量矿石截面积,将被测矿石拟合成球或圆柱计算体积;该方法算法简单,但针对形状随机的破碎产品,计算的准确度较低。通常情况下,添加多组光学检测单元,可提高计算的准确度;但添加光学检测单元,会增加计算量,降低机器的处理量[10-19]。从图像识别的算法层面进行突破,灵活应用现有数据,在不提高计算处理量的前提下,提高检测准确度。
因此,以实现铀矿石放射性分选矿石形状的精准检测为目的,通过制备不同尺寸的标准矿石样品,进行矿石形状对探测效率的影响试验;筛选矿石的关键特征,建立矿石形状的表征参数,揭示不同矿石形状参数对矿石探测效率的影响规律;最终建立铀矿石形状对探测效率的回归算法,提高铀矿石品位检测的准确度。
铀矿石标准样品为人工制备的具有一定品位和形状的铀矿石标准放射源。自某矿井采集矿石样品用于制备铀矿石标准样品。采集的样品主要为高品位铀矿石样品和围岩样品。采用实验室颚式破碎机、对辊破碎机对采集的样品进行破碎,破碎至粒度-2 mm全部过筛。对高品位矿石,采用实验室摇床进行物理富集,过滤、烘干、化验,得到高品位矿石精矿的铀品位为5.00%。对低品位围岩,采用实验室球磨机,磨矿至粒度-400目(38 μm)80%以上,过滤、烘干、化验,用于标准样品原矿的配制。
标准样品的特定品位,由制备的高品位矿石精矿和低品位矿石按照一定比例配制得到,配制比例通过式(1)计算。

探测效率是指单位时间内探测装置对含有1 g铀的矿石所发射的γ脉冲数的计数。仪器的探测效率受矿石质量、形状等因素的影响,通常对小质量、低品位的矿块,放选机的探测效率较高;对大质量、高品位的矿石,放选机的探测效率较低。因此,为避免探测效率变化影响矿石品位检测的准确度,需对探测效率进行修正。
采用自主设计的探测装置进行探测效率试验。该装置主要由探测装置和屏蔽装置构成,探测装置的核心部件为ϕ75 mm NaI晶体和配套光电倍增管,γ射线探测系统的主要参数为计数测量,最大计数率65 535/秒,计数时间1~60 s;屏蔽装置用于消除环境本底辐射,提高矿石品位检测,尤其是低品位矿石检测的灵敏度,所用屏蔽材料为50 mm铅板。为保证结果的准确度,降低辐射涨落等因素的影响,单次检测时间设置为1 s。在本研究中的探测效率均为静态探测效率,即被检测样品处于探测区域中心位置。
矿石形状对探测效率的主要影响是会造成放射源与探测器距离差异,并影响实际探测面积的大小。进入矿石预选工艺的矿石,均为破碎后形状随机的矿石;与近立方体的矿石相比,扁平状的矿石底面积大、高度低,探测器的探测效率高。因此,为降低探测器的检测误差,降低铀矿石品位计算的误差,需要围绕矿石形状对探测效率的影响进行回归修正。
在放射性分选机工作过程中,矿石的形状通常由2个切面相机获得,其主要工作原理见图1。位于顶部的切面相机得到矿石的俯视图,获得矿石的参数LW;位于侧面的切面相机得到矿石的侧视图,获得矿石形状的参数H。为表征矿石形状对探测效率的影响规律,定义矿石的形状系数(φ),形状系数的计算式为

式中:H为矿石的高度,mm;L为矿石的长度,mm;W为矿石的宽度,mm。
采用制备的铀矿石标准样品,开展不同形状矿石的探测效率试验,记录矿石在不同形状系数下的探测效率,计算实际探测效率与相同质量正方体矿石探测效率的比值,将该比值定义为探测效率变化系数(A),结果见图2。可以看出,矿石的形状系数对探测效率的影响有明显的变化规律,当矿石的形状系数小于0.2时,探测效率变化系数大于1,表明实际的探测效率高于相同质量正方体矿石的探测效率;当矿石的形状系数大于0.2时,探测效率的变化系数小于1,表明实际的探测效率低于相同质量正方体矿石的探测效率。
采用制备的标准样品,进行反复试验,以降低环境本底辐射和辐射涨落对数据的影响,得到稳定的数据。将所得到的数据每10个为一组取平均值,绘制矿石形状系数与探测效率的关系。在实际生产过程中,矿石受到皮带运动的影响,总是以最稳定的方式在皮带上运动,即以最大的截面积与皮带接触。因此,在皮带上形状系数大于0.5的矿石很难存在,在进行计算拟合时,只针对形状系数小于0.5的矿石进行拟合(图3)。可以看出,形状系数小于0.5的矿石,探测效率变化系数与矿石形状系数的变化呈线性关系。通过对形状系数和探测效率变化率进行拟合,可以得到探测效率变化系数关于矿石形状系数的修正算法。通过线性回归分析,建立的拟合模型的拟合优度R2=0.81,表明自变量解释了因变量81%的波动,拟合效果显著。
针对建立的探测效率变化系数关于矿石形状系数的修正算法,采用粒度范围-80~+50 mm的实际矿石进行检测试验,验证修正算法的准确度。通过形状修正算法进行探测效率的修正后,计算矿石品位,计算的矿石品位与实际检测品位进行比较,得到矿石品位误差(图4)。
图4可看出,超过70%试验组铀矿石品位的检测误差小于5%,表明矿石形状对探测效率的修正能够显著降低矿石形状对探测效率的影响,提高铀矿石品位计算的精确度;13%的试验组的铀矿石品位的检测误差大于15%,该部分误差的产生来自辐射涨落和环境本底放射性影响。通过调整屏蔽系统设计方案,提高放射性屏蔽效率,可降低铀矿石品位的检测误差。
1)根据放射性分选机中矿石形状的检测原理,制定了铀矿石形状的量化方法。通过标准样品的探测效率试验,探明了矿石的形状系数与探测效率变化系数的关系。当矿石的形状系数小于0.2时,探测效率变化系数大于1,表明实际的探测效率高于质量修正的探测效率;当矿石的形状系数大于0.2时,探测效率变化系数小于1,表明实际的探测效率低于质量修正的探测效率。
2)采用制备的标准样品,通过试验得到稳定数据,建立了探测器探测效率关于矿石形状修正算法。采用粒度范围-80~+50 mm的实际矿石,验证了形状修正算法的准确度。超过70%试验组铀矿石品位的检测误差小于5%,表明建立的矿石探测效率修正方法能够显著降低矿石形状对探测效率的影响。
