The blast furnace top gas recovery turbine unit (TRT) is one of the technologies for energy recovery in modern iron and steel plants. The top pressure of blast furnace is controlled by the angle of stator of turbine and the turbine drives the generator to generate electricity at the same time so that the potential energy of high-temperature and high-pressure gas is converted to electric energy as well as the wasted energy of blast furnace gas in the pressure reducing valves is recovered. This technology is with good environmental protection benefit and remarkable economic benefit.
