In the paper, the maximum value of load for the chute to each component of distributing device in the entire rotation and tilting process is calculated by analyzing the structure of BGIII distributing device of Baotou Steel. The load capacities of motor and oil cylinder are checked and calculated by establishing the reasonable mechanical model, which has proved the original design and type-selection were reasonable, provided the basic data support for the structural improvement and stress calculation of other components as well as the theoretical support for the structure optimization of distributing device.
