In the paper, it is mainly elaborated the laboratory test research and production application results of adding Indian fine ore with the present raw material condition and allocation mode of iron charge of Baotou Steel. The results showed that it was beneficial to improve the air permeability of sinter bed to add some Indian fine ore with the present condition that self-produced Bayanobo iron concentrate accounts for 40%. The RDI_{+3.15 mm} of sinter was unchanged, but RI and softening-melting properties tended to become worse after added Indian fine ore.
